This is one of my favourite hotels on earth. GREAT staff, beautiful historic building, great restaurants. The rooftop pool and bar area is lovely as well… a bargain at whatever price it's offered at.

This hotel has the BEST staff! Really cool location, awesome lobby with a bar, restaurant and a breakfast cafe. The hotel has it's own Jazz club, too. The rooftop bar and pool offer a really nice ambiance in the middle of the city. I loved it here and I can't wait to come back!

The Ace Hotel was a great place to stay. The staff was friendly from the time you checked in and every time you returned to the hotel they greeted you to see how you were doing and if you needed anything. Yvette was the most professional and accommodating manager. I would recommend staying here for fun with family and friends or just a quick getaway. Please give The Ace Hotel a try.

This is a cute boutique hotel very clean with a very nice roof top pool and bar. Bartender made us great drinks.

The staff at the Ace is amazing. Melody at the front desk is THE sweetest and Tyrell is very very helpful and accommodating. Loved the whole atmosphere of the hotel and it is in a quieter part of town. Great for walking to other areas. Would definitely stay there again.

Do not chose this place for your wedding venue! Terrible experience. Saving someone else a whole lot of money! after we booked, they sent us a list of recommendations for everything. We picked a photographer from the list the Ace recommend — Lizzie Ford Mardid. This weekend makes a year and we still have NO pictures and can’t find Lizzie anywhere! Most of the rooms our friends and family booked were not ready or they were placed in the wrong rooms. In the contract we signed it said we got the wedding night in the suite complimentary which we did not. One of my friends had charges to her room from the bar that was NOT hers. Another family member had charges from things missing out of the refrigerator in the room again Nothing missing from the room! We spent most of our time at the front desk trying to get these charges fixed, etc. To make our experience a little better they promised a complimentary two night stay for our one year anniversary which is THIS WEEKEND anyway — they are booked, of course, so instead offered us a credit to the restaurant! I do not see that credit making up for a complimentary two night stay BUT I’m just trying to save someone else all the trouble. Go somewhere else for a beautiful wedding! Good thing we don’t have pictures of it!

This is a party hotel. Just so you know. Lots of drunk people yelling in the halls and in the elevators. The pool is VERY small. That said the hotel is pretty cool. The customer service was spotty, some rude, some ok, some friendly. But the building maintenance issues were consistently poor and the lack of communication in trying remedy our room, was pretty bad. No one really apologized for much of anything nor do I think they cared bc they know we are not coming back.

This is the real pool experience! Elevators out all day Saturday, poor people here for weddings! Spotty service on hot water. Great staff until they said here’s $200 credit on $2, 500+ hotel bill.

I love this place stayed here for 3 months while property shopping in New Orleans and the people are amazing the location is great and the bartenders know how to make a drink … gotta love New Orleans.

We visited the Estelle Josephine restaurant for brunch on Saturday. We ordered the pastries which we're fresh baked and delicious. We also ordered the pork Benedict and the chicken biscuit. Both were flavorful and a decent price. The atmosphere was trendy, but still had a New Orleans vibe. Will definitely be back.

I did not look at the hotel website prior to arriving. Immediately enjoyed the service from the doorman and the check in staff were extremely friendly. We had a beer at the bar and the bar staff gave us some recommendations for dinner that did not disappoint. The retro look to the room was cool. I am not talking about the ironic retro look like so many hotels have that are in dire need of an update. This room had nice waxed floors, a "vintage" fridge loaded with every drink I could think of. You want a Coors tall boy? You need a six pack of Miller High Life? It's in there! I laid down on the bed to take a late night conf call and had trouble staying awake. Once my call was done, I was out within minutes. I had to move hotels, and I am regretting it now!

The hotel is a little different from similarly priced hotels but I liked the boutique approach. It was a lively experience and the staff was extremely courteous. The Prince portraits in the lobby were a nice touch as well. However, it's really hard to determine who is staff and who is not since they have no formal uniforms. The pillows also leave a lot to be desired. The bed is okay, but not very comfortable in my opinion. I still would have rated it 5 but the valet service is horrendous. I had to wait at least 20 minutes every time I requested the car even after calling ahead. I expected more for the $45.00 per night they charge. Do yourself a favor and park across the street. You'll save about $15.00 per night after all the fees and have much quicker access to your vehicle.

Ace definitely have a return customer. Loved the ambiance of the hotel. Very clean room. Friendly staff. Unique but gorgeous design. I will be back for another stay.

The rooftop pool, bar, food and cocktails were excellent. The lobby bar is comfortable and fun too. The staff was wonderful. The Arts/Warehouse area of New Orleans is a great place to be.

My wife and I had a fantastic overnight stay at Ace. The rooms were perfectly clean, nicely designed and decorated, and the bed was insanely comfortable. My wife loved the Smeg fridge and the cork floors. There was a bit of noise late at night (perhaps a late running concert either downstairs or nearby? ) But it wasn't too distracting. Will definitely be returning here!

Well located in central business district. Valet parking. Quality service personnel. Nice rooms and pool. Reasonable priced. Near Superdome and Arena.

Great location. Next to the streetcar line. Excellent rooftop pool and bar (with some food). Restaurant and live music downstairs. Helpful and friendly staff. Rooms and decor are very cool loft-style vintage (no carpet on floor in room in case that bothers you). Large minibar fridge in room. Record player with records in room!

The food at the rooftop bar was tasty. Had the hummus and warm cookie. Drinks are interesting. Service was prompt. Not loud, so you can actually talk to the people you're with.

Drinks are intriguing, nice bartenders and average pricing but the food options could be more gluten free/budget friendlier. I love the space and they bring in amazing talent, including movie nights w/ a twist — usually w/ no cover! It's a great hotel w/ restaurant attached and rooftop pool/bar. Great place to grab a drink w/ friends.

Good location, good vibe and all the amenities one needs. Especially the coffee downstairs is excellent. Now admitted, it's a bit pretentious and I felt out of place at times. Which a good hotel would never make their guests feel.

They need to invest more into training cleaning rooms. Walked in and there was tp from the clean up crew or previous guest right in the middle of the floor. It was dusty and ring marks that could have easily been wiped away. The big stuff not being done leads me to believe the room is not sanitized on the basic level. It is a beautiful hotel though.

The Ace Hotel has an eye catching lobby. The doormen are always really sweet! My husband and my favorite part of a trip to the Ace Hotel is by far the rooftop pool and bar. The orange freeze is our favorite frozen drink at the bar. The burgers at the bar were surprisingly really good! If you’re in the area I would definitely come to the Ace Hotel. If you don’t have your suit you can enjoy the restaurant or the view from the rooftop! ENJOY!

We arrived a little after 6 and the were so many people out we wasn't sure if we at the right place or not. The only sign out read "Hotel". Once the valet attendant approached us we realized we were in the right place. Check in was easy and about as fast as a usual check in suppose to be without any complications. Our room was on the third floor just steps from the elevator hallway which at first I thought that would be an issue but it wasn't. The room was nice very different from your traditional room. The bar was completely stocked plus the fridge and with overpriced snacks! Which I recommend going to buy your own! The shower was huge and came with shampoo and body soap! However I would make a suggestion as to shower shoes the way it was set up. The bed and pillows were very soft and fresh! I really had a good night rest! Down stairs in the lobby at night the Green room was nice chill spot plus they had a bar! I love the fact that they are pet friendly! I met so many cute furry friends! I really enjoyed the experience and everything is in walking distance! I would definitely visit here again!

Gross. Would not recommend. Almost zero amenities. $40 per day parking. Can't get staff to help you without giving them a tip. Rooftop pool and restaurant were extremely non-family-friendly. Staff had a shockingly low knowledge of things to do or even the streetcar schedule. Basically had to be our own concierge. Definitely not fit for a family trip.

The room was very nice, no bathtub but it did have a very large walk in shower. The mini bar was one of the most extensive I have ever seen! Very, very impressive. Even the vintage style fridge was loaded with beer, sparkling, and crafty bloody Mary’s. My room had a guitar and a record player with plenty of records to choose from. The pillows and linnens were great. Full size toiletries in the shower too! The mini soap on a rope was pretty hilarious at the sink.

Rooms were amazing. Large shower with excellent water pressure. Guitar in room. 5 star staff, offering assistance at every corner. Live music at night. The restaurant had the best shrimp and grits I've ever had. Rooftop pool and bar were awesome. Happy hour specials and boutique lobby bar. Unique art deco decor throughout. Stayed one night but will be back!

Situated away from dirty rowdy Bourbon street but a short walk. The attention to detail was incredible. You can stay for a week and not experience it all. Huge rooms, incredible rooftop bar and pool! Character and personality in overdrive!

Lots of amenities but a bit of a dormitory feel once actually in the room. A severe lack of storage in the double room given a single small, awkwardly oriented wardrobe and no closet. Air conditioning never cooled down to the setting and the room continued to be humid. Staff very friendly, interesting bar/venue on bottom floor. The negatives are a part of the trade-off for this hotel's charm and unique atmosphere.

Did not stay here, but I had to leave a review for the wonderful pool/bar at this hotel. Our bartenders were friendly and great to us (at one point, one of them actually went all the way downstairs to grab a carton of cold brew just to make a single cocktail for our group), and the view of the rest of the city from the bar is fantastic. Great spot!

I had a small wedding in one the of suites and although the Ace wasn't making a ton of money off of me, they still treated me with grace and respect. Namely, Thomas Moore. Thomas was so helpful and answered any questions I had very quickly, which apparently I had a lot because there were 60+ correspondents between us. I can't recommend this hotel enough and if you are looking to have an event there, get in touch with the ever so helpful Thomas Moore.

This is my favorite hotel on the planet! Who can't love a hotel with a sense of humor? "Humor? How? " you ask. Well, for starters, the key card holder says "Thank you for sleeping with us. " The rooms have a small envelope and printed on it is one hand doing the sign and another hand pointing at it, so it looks like this:. Guess what's inside? 3 free condoms! This hotel is absolutely beautiful and very retro. There is the best bar in NOLA, the best coffee shop in NOLA, the best music venue in NOLA, the best rooftop pool/bar in NOLA, and one the top restaurants in NOLA, all under the same roof.

Very upscale and very expensive Hotel. So we expect a certain standard.

Stayed here for my birthday and overall really enjoyed my stay. The lobby bar was absolutely amazing! Lori was our bartender and she was everything you’d ever want a bartender to be. She was knowledgeable, had great ideas for cocktails we could try based on our preferences. She even sold us on a new brand of gin and whiskey we’ve never tried before. I’ve longed to go to a bar with a true bartender and have finally found that at Ace. Rating the bar alone gets above and beyond a five star rating. Service — also a five star rating! Everyone was so kind and accommodating. Really can’t say enough nice things about the staff here. They are attentive and overall amazing. We even had a problem with our lights being out in the bathroom and maintenance responded quickly and professionally. I almost knocked off a star for the room because the refrigerator would not stop making this obnoxious clicking sound throughout the night. But I couldn’t take away from the actual room itself as I really enjoyed it. The tub was wonderful — nice and deep and perfect for soaking. The bath products all smelled great and I actually really enjoyed the dark vibe of the room. When we entered the room, housekeeping had left on the radio tuned to a soft jazz station and it was simply wonderful to walk into the room with the shutters open and the soft jazz playing. The valet also was a great part of the experience.

This is a very unique hotel. The floors in the rooms were cork instead of carpet and the exposed pipes and duct work really gave you the sense that you were in the warehouse district. There were some quirks to this place, hence the 4 star rating, but based on the issues that we had to deal with (frozen water pipes and a boil water alert) I feel that the staff did a great job of handling it and the location deserves 4 stars. I was at this hotel for a conference and the spaces that were used for meetings and eating were really neat. One room even had a chandelier that looked like it was made of wax. There's a lovely rooftop area with a bar and pool and lots of relaxing seating. The coffee shop is also very good and reasonably priced. One night, there was a jazz band playing in a room off the foyer and it seemed very well attended. There is a nice sitting area when you first walk in with mod furniture. One thing that I really liked about the hotel was that you needed a room card to make the elevator go up to the rooms. It added a sense of security that would make me feel comfortable visiting again.

This place is lovely. There was a p. 4 (Prospect Art) exhibit there when I was there setting up for a wedding. The staff was friendly and accommodating. They offered free coffee and water to all of their guests. I will say their coffee shop opens late for a downtown hotel. People are at work by the time they open. The furnishings in the lobby make the place feel very cozy. There's only four stars, because it's the worst place to back a truck up to. The alley is narrow and used by too many people. There was also an annoying maintenance guy telling us not to block the street. Well we were blocking the street trying to back in. If you are not coming up with ways to solve a problem at your property then get somewhere and be still.

This place is pretty covertly racist. They may have black employees and entertainers that come through, but only for the enjoyment of a white establishment and guests. I was the only black man sitting at the table with white friends. The waitress who was non-white, but a lighter toned person wasn't pleased that I was there. Gave me snobby looks everytime she walked by the table. Not to mention, the other waitstaff kept getting our order wrong for some reason. A colleague had to complain to management. This happened back in Nov for my friend's art gallery that I'm apart of. They exploit black images and art. They pretend to be diverse, but it's all a front. They really want a place for blacks to serve whites, not other blacks. Jim Crow and plantation mentality.

Stayed here over Christmas and it was a great couple of days. I’ve stayed at a lot of Ace Hotels in other cities so can always be pretty confident I’m going to get a solid experience. The New Orleans one didn’t disappoint. Beautiful hotel, room was spacious and comfortable, the restaurant options were really good and of course Stumptown is a great way to start your day. Rooms were affordable for that time of year, which kind of makes up for the pricier food/drink prices. Overall, great place and good location.

I did not stay at the hotel but instead went for a happy hour followed by diner at they restaurant. The atmosphere it’s kind of hipster, the girl at the bar was very nice and the Negroni she made was delicious! The 20’s decoration its just awesome, very artsy! Really nice place to spend the evening and relax drinking well made cocktails!

I attended a conference here last week. I did not stay at the hotel, so I can't comment on the rooms, etc. Others that stayed were not impressed with the rooms, atmosphere, etc. It's an interesting vibe in the lobby, etc. Very nice for more modern, trendy crowd. I will say that I was incredibly disappointed in our catering service during the two days. The first day we had simple sandwiches and chips and water. No other beverage, etc. That was okay. Second day was dreadful. They served baked chicken with zero flavor and white northern beans with cabbage. The beans were still crunchy and hard. There was no salad, etc. It was so terrible that we ended up having to get lunch elsewhere during our break. For the cost and considering there is a restaurant on site, I'm not sure how you serve such terrible food.

A laid-back, Ace-y vibe, nice food, beautiful bar and lots of live music & events. The rooms are nice and equipped with everything you need to party in New Orleans. The bar/lounge is a great place to hang out day or night. Coffee is really good!

The hotel is beautiful, very art deco/contemporary and masculine. The staff is super helpful and the bars and resturants lovely. The rooms are well equiped and the beds comfy. The only issue I had is the bathroom design gets water everywhere and only one towel per person was provided. I stayed 2 nights and house keeping never cleaned the room or made the beds even after we talked to the ladies as we left our room. Would definitely recommend this hotel to friends.

Nice room with stocked fridge, snacks, and bar. Awesome high ceilings. Bed is moderately comfortable. Everything is very dim and has a 20's era feel to it. The coffee shop downstairs is great. It was a little hard to get to the room with luggage in a dim hallway at night.

The rooftop pool is a really nice place to hang out. Views of the city. Frozen drinks that are actually good and not just sugar bombs. There is basically a two drink minimum, but you’ll want to stay for two anyway so it’s totally fine. If you need to just chill, maybe hair of the dog, this is the place to do it.

Living in New Orleans I love trying new places for Happy Hour. I was meeting a few friends at the Ace Hotel's Roof Top Bar which did not disappoint. The cocktails were awesome! I arrived early, and decided to have a drink in the lobby while I waited for my friends. The Happy Hour price of the wines were $5 a glass, I had 2 and was charged for 3. The waitress was really nice when I was ordering; however, when I approached her with the overcharge she became indignant with me and nasty. I asked for a credit and paid in cash. When I checked my bank statement I see not only was I not given the credit, but the amount I paid in cash was added to my bill, so now for a $10 bill I am being charged $25 plus I paid $10 in cash, so $35 for 2 happy hour drinks totaling $10. When I called to complain I was told that a $25 hold is placed on credit cards at the bar and refunded up to 3 days later.? It would be nice if the bartender stated that prior to me giving her the card, to allow me to make the decision if that is indeed what I would like to do. Service is poor and if you don't watch your bill they rip you off!

Staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was clean, neat, and very tastefully decorated. Very quiet throughout the night and the windows can be blacked out with shutters allowing easy sleeping well past sun up. With a noon check out you can party late and still get enough rest. Located close to many attractions with the rest only a short uber ride away. The hotel includes several bars and a restaurant for fine dining.

I am reviewing the rooftop pool and bar. The pool looked very clean and the food and drinks were very good. Portions were a little small and drinks were overpriced but you are paying for the beautiful view. They require you to spend a $20 minimum so beware. All in all, I would visit again because of the nice ambiance and courteous staff.

This was overall a really great stay. The location is ideal and the building is really cool. Most of the staff is very helpful with great hospitality. The bed was very comfortable. We at at the poor bar one day and it was really tasty with great service. There is also a photobooth and it was fun to stop off and get pictures. The gym is very nice, cool and clean and not too crowded. My only complaint was the housekeeping was a little sub-par. The room was not dirty by any means, it was cleaned, but for instance, they picked up 4 dirty towels and only left us 1 clean, I also found some stuff belonging to the previous guest. It just seemed like it wasn't as thorough as it should have been. Also, the pool had such strong chlorine that it burned my skin! And the refrigerator was loud during the night.

The meeting spaces are beautiful and spacious. The largest room is very versatile — I've seen it set up as a film screening room with bleacher seating, and as a dining/presentation room. Both times you wouldn't believe it was used for anything else.

Coffee bar downstairs is amazing. Pool upstairs with bar is also really nice. A little pricey to go to the pool unless you are a guest.

Hotel showing some signs of wear and tear. Hallways in desperate need of a good vacuuming, especially along the edges and baseboards… and did I mention my new friend, Ace, the cockroach, who camped out in our room?

Dirty rooms with house keepers more interested in your possessions and medication than cleaning. Red mold growing in the shower dark paint covers the filth. Wi fi and TV were spotty at best. This place must be run by teenagers. A 4 night stay turned into a 10:30 pm check out. We were too grossed out to spend another night.

I did not stay in the hotel, but I've been there twice and have had very bad experience with the wait staff and except for one particular bar tender. I was there this past weekend for a special program to honor my father with Preservation Hall as a jazz musician. We ordered food and we didn't get silver ware, napkins or condiments when the wait staff delivered the food. When I asked for the same, she literally smacked her teeth, rolled her eyes, and flared her hands at the re…quest, which was done in decency and in order. This was our first contact with her as we ordered from the bar and had a tab. She then had someone else to deliver our request to us, which I must admit. She was polite and delightful. However, that first served was just unacceptable and unprofessional on a Friday night at a professional event. On the same night we were going to the stage, per the request of the host of the event, to take a family photo and the sound person was extremely rude with my family when entering the area… as if we had no right to be in the area. And again, my dad was being honored at the event. 2 weeks before the prior event, we were there and the bar automatically held a certain amount on my brother's card and also charged his tab amount to his card. When he called to inquire why he had additional charges on his card he was told that it was automatically done and would eventually get a credit.

The rooftop pool was open to none guest to the hotel. Which made it hard to use for me and my granddaughter. I think they should change that situation, but otherwise it was a nice hotel.

Loved it. Stayed in both a medium and large room and the pictures don't do it justice. 3 Keys gets a bit loud later in the evening, but I didn't hear a thing upstairs, so no issues with that. Be warned that there is a hefty incidentals deposit per room that **WILL** take the FULL 7-10 business days to credit back to your card, so keep that in mind when booking with debit vs credit.

Nice busy hip Contemporary Hotel. Friendly staff extremely helpful. Great bar great menu at the restaurant. Really cool shops just outside the door. It's a must-see.

The coolest hotel I have stayed at by far. The rooms, restaurant, bar, and band venue are all stylish and unique. It is within walking distance to the quarter and a ton of great restaurants. Will definitely stay here again.

I stopped by for a beer at the bar… Great place: Awesome service, cool friendly vibe, good beer selection… The band started playing around 9:30 in the room next to the bar. It was loud but not uncomfortable… Great chill no-attitude place.
