The bathroom smelled like sewer and there was hair all over the toilet. At first the bathroom smelled like smoke.

Total hole, worst nastiest place I stayed. Transients, Crack heads and baby smokers in their rooms!. Canceled 2 out of 3 nights stay. No breakfasts, not Eben the bs covid been and go bags, nothing! they're is so much more to stay but look at my pics.

Due to weather my greyhound but got cancelled rescheduled all the hotels I had called but not let me do an early check-in or I have to pay extra for it I didn't even have money barely for the room didn't plan on having to stay somewhere because of cancellation but he was really nice he said come on and we'll get it taken care of.

Clean Quite and well located hotel.

It was an ok place to stay, clean, nicely taken care of just a bit over priced compaired to other places I've stayed… compaired to the 2 other major chains within walking distance, this is a 5 star!

Woke up at 3am to a rank pot smell. Front desk said all the hallways, upstairs, and numerous rooms were affected. I sleep with a Cpap machine. It was literally choking me out. There was vomit in the hallway and three big piles of dog sh outside the door entrance. The keypad at the door entrance was broken so we had to carry all of our stuff down to another door and then back. Parking lot was full. The tub in the shower backed up and was barely draining. Horrible Place! Do not stay here!

So gross and Brian the manager is so disrespectful and rude he cussed me out.

Room is freezing and maintenance said there wasn't anything they could do even though it is 28 degrees outside. I had to go buy my own space heater to stay warm.

Absolutely filthy rooms with rude employees. Took forever to check in while the employees messed around or chatted amongst themselves. Seemed to be what was poop all over the bathroom wall and seemed to be spilt soda all over the ceilings and walls of the main room. Would not recommend staying here unless you have no other option.

Lobby was misleading. Hallways smelled like beef and bad decisions. One of our lights worked. Toilet flushed with a maximum of 16 ounces of water. Sink faucet has one temperature: lukewarm. Shower vacillated between boiling and ice on a whim. Room smelled like a bowl of two-week old apples. The chair was broken, the ottoman wheels were just laying about it, and it leaned forward like a drunken uncle trying to tell you a dirty joke. The cracks in the wall were homey. Breakfast was free. Waffle batter ran out less than an hour into breakfast time, leading me to believe it was leftover from yesterday. Coffee machine just kept saying "unavailable ". After it was refilled by the attendant (who was also working the front desk), it tasted like Juan Valdez roasted the beans with motor oil. This isn't exactly bad, but the sink in the lobby men's bathroom shot out the water at nearly a 90° angle.

We were very disappointed. I’m not one to rate things one star very easily but this deserved it. The only thing going for this place was the front desk staff. They were very nice. We were on the second floor and there is no elevator. The vending machine doesn’t take dollar bills (tried four different bills! ). When we got into our room, the smell coming out of the bathroom was like a sewer and the toilet seat was about to fall off. Worst of all was the cleanliness of the place. The ceiling was starting to cave in and there was cracks in the paint and things coming off the walls everywhere. I asked the front desk person if the owner ever looks around at his hotel to see what is going on and he said the owner lives in India and they have never met them in person.

This place had a musty smell when I first walked in. Then an hour after being there the bathroom had a terrible sewer smell. It was so bad that it was hard to stay in the bathroom for longer than like a minute. I also went to use the vending machine to buy some water and it wouldn't take my dollar. I went to the front desk for some assistance and he quickly tells me it never works and when it does it just steals your dollar, so just go to the gas station next door. Okay? The breakfast was the normal hotel food, but the kitchen lady didn't keep up with the food. So the waffle mix, milk, muffins, and sausage gravy was all empty. The front desk lady had to help her out. For the price I paid to stay here… I was not happy!

Went in happy ready to swim. Until I was greeted rudely by a manager up front. My buddy paid for a room and gave the 100 dollar deposit. Only to be told his card declined. He immediately called his card and it was reduced to negative 8 dollars! The manager laughed it off and said there was nothing he could do. Then told us to leave. It took hours to get his money back. Witch was in excess of his bill for 3 days. Never going back.

Im giving it a two because I paid for 2 nights, they had my card on file and after I paid for my room demanded another 100$ for a deposit for the room. I drove here from another state, 6 hours, and knew nothing about a deposit before I got here. I was a little upset. I stayed in a king room, it was a little busted down, like this whole place, but if you're use to broken things, then it's fine. Except when I made my reservation, I selected 2 people, but was charged 10$ extra a night because it was for 2 people but they only had one on file. So for 2 nights I paid 295$. I could have stayed in a super nice hotel for that price. Dont be scammed. Took video of the room to ensure I dont get charges for their already busted down room. Good luck!

The toilet paper is see through its so thin. Power wires were hanging out of the light fixture above the mirror. I'm surprised the faucet in the bathroom didn't fall apart as it was barely connected. It seems like they are trying to just keep the hotel going rather than taking the time to fix things properly. This is also the first hotel that I've stayed at that didn't provide a receipt. I would have left but we made a reservation in advance and they don't allow cancelations. I now know why they have a no cancelation policy.

Room was clean. Aarp discount. Decent breakfast.

Beds were hard. Walls are paper thin. Breakfast and the pool were good.

Our room was clean. The breakfast was good. Nothing extraordinary stood out. The staff was nice but the guy working out when we arrived to check in didn't have a clue.

I used to stay here around 8 nights a year. Never again!. After staying for 2 nights and shopping I had quite a bit to get out of this room upon checkout. Unfortunately due to no alarm and me not hearing my phone alarm I over slept by 30 mins. The front desk called every 5 mins and someone was at the door ever 2 minutes even after I explained the late wake up and trying to pack my stuff up. A lady came to the door as I was about to start making trips to my car and started yelling at me rudely. Saying I had said that 4 times. I advised her I had 2 more trips and she once again started to tell rudely. I will never ever stay here again. Nor would I recommend anyone deal with their harrassement $400 for 2 nights and this is how I was treated. Little hard to pack and take things to the car when your busy opening the door and answer calls every other 2 minutes! Dude was rude upon check in … I should've left than!

Very nice room way over priced won't be able to stay here next month.

Play something massive dump over price rooms hasn't been taken care of and I don't know how long maintenance is way way under par.

Hot tub not running right. Murky water, No bubbles. Pool water not clear either. Changed my mind about going swimming.

Giving them 1 star is too much. This place is absolute trash including the people that work there. A dirty girl named Amber at the front desk stole my deposit then claimed room was smoked in and hadn't had room but 3 hours. Would not let us speak to management and told me I could find corporate # myself. When I called them they said that there was nothing they could do. WONT STAY at another Quality Inn again.

Very pour service. First room we got smelled of smoke, even thou it was a non smoking room. Second one still was dirty but we delt with it. Worst quality inn I have ever been in.

Good value for a clean comfortable room. Breakfast was hot but a bit bland. Free is free though.

Quality Inn in Independence Missouri: the rooms claimed to be upgraded the bathroom walls had holes in them, the shower wand was falling down, the chair ottoman was broke, the room had no paper and pen for note taking, the bathtub had no stopper, and the heat only worked on high. The room was highly overpriced even with my veteran discount.

Fine, reasonably clean room. Pet friendly, friendly desk crew. Needs updating, quality of fittings was not great. Newer but cheap.

Nice rooms, great staff but, the bedding was almost like they starched them. (very rough and stiff) The breakfast was ok, nothing really good for hot foods. (Biscuits were hard, eggs and gravy bland.

It's a pleasant hotel but the rooms aren't consistent. One had a broken heater, the next no microwave which I was told isn't standard in the rooms. The price is right and there are amenities in the room.

Far from quality… dirty bed sheets, smelly trash bags left in hallways, uprofessional staff except for the gentleman who initially greeted us. Key cards stopped working multiple times, staff would make excuses but they were actually assigning keys to the wrong room. Decent location with grocery and gas across the street… but it can be a bit sketchy at night. Would not recommend for a family with younger children! There are way better options than this "qulaity" inn. Sending photos is nasty dirty sheets and trash to corporate… even if the stay was free or you paid me to stay, I wouldn't stay here again.

The Quality in needs updating very much! Room comfortable, but some renovations still left unfinished. Lobby seems to be worked on, but needs a more attention. Free breakfast adequate. Location and free breakfast seem to be the Quality Inns big selling point. Room prices any more than $70 per night here are way over priced!

This is a rehabbed, older motel. We were only staying one night to sleep, so we decided to go ahead. It passed the bedbug inspection. There was a lot going on downstairs. They made a scan of our drivers license and credit card on the printer, a bit odd, but we were tired. There was a lot of conversation between staff members at check in and at check out, which was a little rude, but that could have been a cultural thing. We were charged $100 for a smoking fee. We don't smoke. We did not hang around anyone who smoked that evening. We do not use perfumes or sprays. We don't smell 'funny'. When we called the hotel, we were transferred to three different managers over the course of a few days. The first one said it was a temporary hold. The second one said it was a smoking fee. The final GM said, "Of course you smoked. Why else would you have this fine? " We are following up with corporate and our bank. Beware. This is fraud. DO NOT stay here.

Service was great, and breakfast was good, but there were earwigs in the bathroom, the in room phone did not work (front desk knew about this and did not tell us at check-in), and our room did not have a do not disturb sign. Additionally, the ironing board cover was stained, and the toilet had trouble flushing from time to time. But it was a decent price, the pool was still open, and there weren't any bedbugs!

Absolutely wonderful stay! Clean room, comfortable bed, great breakfast even offering gluten free options. Dogs were welcomed at a reasonable cost. Friendly staff.

The rooms are js disrepair. Paint peeling, carpet dirty. As we were leaving, saw cockroaches on the wall. The beds were very comfortable.

The ac was ice cold. Perhaps the best of any hotel I've been in. Other than that, the room was clean but it was nothing special. Breakfast started a bit later than at other Choice Hotels.

I think that was my last stay at a "quality" inn. It was very poor quality. It was quite old and in need of some serious updates and improvements. For what it was, I guess it was mostly as clean as they could make it. However, the sheet that was on the sofabed was very obviously dirty. The room was damp and musty smelling. There was very little water pressure in the shower. The pillows were quite flat and left my husband with a sore neck. The breakfast was ok, I guess, but below average as far as hotel breakfasts go. I would absolutely not recommend staying at this hotel.

In my worldly travels, this was one of the worst rooms I have ever paid money for. Breakfast was rubber eggs from a can, and sausage hard as a brick. Stains on our bedding. Mold in the shower. The room smelled horrible. When dealing with the front desk on the phone they were short and hung up both times. There is ZERO reason to stay at this property with all of the other options close by. I wouldnt let my pets stay here for free.

Tired and Dated. This property has seen better days. The new corridor carpet doesn't disguise that this property is tired and dated. The bathroom had granite countertop and vessel sink, but the floor tile was dated and chipped with moldy tub caulk. The hall door and bathroom door looked like they were designed for security, not very inviting. The bed had new linens, but the room furniture was cheap with paint scrapes on the wall. The breakfast was limited — cold cereal, yogurt, and unappealing break selection. The only hot option was waffles.

Was very impressed with how large my room was I booked a double queen suite for a little over 100 dollars. It was clean and had parking. Would definitely return.

Hotel was spotless clean! The indoor pool and hot tub were very clean, clean and fresh smelling. The staff was awesome! We had a problem with our reservation — I accidentally booked 2 rooms — and the evening desk clerk was able to fix the problem after choice hotels customer service couldn't fix it. They have a high quality hot breakfast as well!

Currently the hotel is being renovated. I was unaware of this when making the reservations. Slept well. Decent breakfast. The construction crew was working outside my room, literally in the hall and room across the way and were extremely quiet. Never ever heard them. Staff is very nice and sincere. Don't seek perfection while renovating, however, nice stay.

Smelled like mold, there was mold above the doorway to the exit door. Hot tub wasn't working. Shower (water trickled like light rain and didn't stay hot more than 5 minutes) and bathroom faucets were loose and moving, the room didnt seem ready for guests, no soap or kleenex. Got a room with the view of the lower roof and the hotel wasn't even 1/3 occupied. Breakfast was biscuits and gravy with eggs and gross sausage both days yet an employee came in and got served bacon with fresh eggs and avocado right in front of the other guests.

The room below and over 1 from my room caught fire of some sort or another. Sitting in my room I smelled something but I assumed it was burnt food or a truck outside my window. Only when I got up and looked out the window did I realize that the truck was Many Fire trucks I think everyone they had in town. I quickly dressed and left my room to thick black smoke. I did manage to get out quickly and with limited smoke inhaled. While it's not the Hotel's fault something caught fire, (I believe it was an AC Unit and quickly taken care of by FD) I am extremely unhappy and concerned that there was no fire alarm sounded by staff. I would also say that the FD did not do a room to room check, especially considering the location of my room to the room with fire. Again it happens and no one is in particular the one to blame. It goes to show you always be aware of your surroundings.

Worst experience in a long time. Room smelled like a wet dog, there were holes in the walls and carpet, hot tub out of order with no repair in sight, which was the primary reason for picking this hotel. The breakfast was decent, although I had to wait for one of the staff to need a refill before we had any coffee. The pool was rather dirty and there was a vodka bottle and a blunt roach on the table. Fortunately we didn't have our kids with us.

BEWARE this is extremely POOR quality hotel. If I could give it a zero I would. I wish I had looked at reviews before booking my room. Quality inn customer service told me this was a great location. Wow were they really wrong. The front desk clerks were dressed in pajama pants and seemed questionable. It was pouring rain and the requested me to pull around back of hotel to park. There were no cars parked out front.? Also this hotel has no elevators. They asked us to climb 20+ steps carrying out luggage. All the doors at back of hotel were propped open with rocks, which is a major safety concern. I am not sure where the advertised photos came from, but it was not this location. The room overall was clean but it felt very unsafe. I would not recommend to anyone. Beware!

Absolutely the worst hotel. This hotel is in such poor condition. Where do I start. When we first arrived the front door to the check in was closed and taped off with a sign, under construction. The hot tub was broken. Our room needed a lot of maintenance. The bathroom door stuck closed. Our AC make a loud noise every 30 minutes, which kept us awake the whole night. The bathroom floor was sticky. The landscaping is unkept. We are heading to the free breakfast. I'm anticipating more the same. I do not recommend this hotel. Poor, poor, poor.

Got the jacuzzi suit for only 100$ awesome. But since I checked in at 4 am and I have to still be out by noon is totally ridiculous.

PLEASE READ BEFORE EVEN CONSIDERING STAYING AT THIS HOTEL *PLEASE REFER TO PICTURES POSTED BY ME FOR PROOF* Let me begin… First off the bathroom, toilet seat was not attached, causing a hazard for people especially the elderly or children. There were stains all over the walls in there also, the sink was missing stone panels and the vent above the shower was FILTHY I would fear for my health if I showered in there. There is also no water pressure on one of the sinks. We got a room with an external bath tub, it had a NAIL sticking out the side. My sister caught her sock on it. Can you imagine what would have happened if it was her leg? The smoke detector had a bag over it, I assume because it was a smokers room. Blood looking stains on the lamp by the bed. The pool is a total DUMP, first off it was Memorial Day weekend and the outdoor pool wasn't even open… The inside pool well, the walkway was flooded. Literally. Flooded. The pool's hot tub didn't work. The normal pool was warmer than the "hot tub". The pool area had self-contradicting signs. "Must be 14 to swim without an adult" and "Must be 12 to swim without an adult". I mean really. The front desk lady had spaghetti for diner. How do I know this and why am I putting it in my review? Because I could see it all over her face. The maids were helpful… BUT they don't speak any English. So if you need help, like we did you are out of luck for the most part. It's a huge hassle. Filthy. Broken down. Non-functional. Hotel.

We just stayed here for Nascar weekend. Very clean rooms, friendly staff at check in & out. Good hot breakfast for our drive home. It has been hard for us to find a hotel in the area for Nascar weekend that we liked but now we have. We'll book here again next year.

The hotel overall was good price and good as far as cleanliness. We were put in a room with an adjoining door to another room. Apparently the neighbors had 2 rooms, but were for some reason not given the adjoining room. We were in the room long enough for the kids to change into their swim suits and then went to the pool. Apparently someone called the front desk complaining about the "noise" even though the kids weren't loud. We got back and the kids got changed and we're getting snacks. Again, not being loud and the front desk was apparently called again. The front desk came down very rude and accused us of being loud. I have never had someone be so rude. If they didn't want to hear their neighbors they should have gotten a room other than the adjoining one and probably a quality inn wasn't the best choice if they were hoping for a nice quiet space.

We checked in around 10pm and thought it would difficult to acquire a room but the lady at the front desk was wonderful. She checked the computer system for available rooms and found one left at the same price in which we were quoted on the phone. We had a good night sleep with an excellent breakfast the following morning. Quiet hotel with great helpful staff. Will recommend to our family in Garden City, Kansas.

Way different in person from online its an undercover ghetto motel from hell I almost died from to many bug bites from this ghetto motel never in my life staying here again my husband got ripped off nicer fancy hotels cost less than here paying over 2 hundred feeling ripped off.

Comfortable layed back some of the service was cool good breakfast. Very nice indoor pool I would recommend people to go.

I needed to stay here as I waited for a ride. The room was clean, bed sheets were spotless, and the pillows were something you would want to take home. Super comfortable and AC was spot on on the hot day. The manager is a great guy and made sure I was well taken care of. The breakfast was hot and fresh and unlike other hotels, their breakfast drinks were great tasting. (Other hotels usually run out of concentrate or have cheap plastic forks and such. ) Unfortunately people leave bad reviews if they had a bad day, but few people leave good reviews if they had a restful night. I don't know about others, but my time there was clean, comfy, and great! I'll stay there again when I'm in the area for sure! A BIG THANKS from a weary traveler from Brazil!

One of the worst hotels I've been to. Stayed there just for a night. When we checked in, the manager was sarcastic and rude. Other staff members were nice and helped us around. When we got to our room, it smelled absolutely horrible and the bathroom fixtures were falling apart. We were forced to stay in a smoking room, and it seemed so dirty and unkept. Burn marks on furniture everywhere. Do not stay here. Find something else.

This is my idea of a terrible hotel. The only good thing I can say is the people at the fronnt desk tried to be helpful. There is no microwave inn the room. One of the lamps doesn't work. The front desk says it is the lamp, nnot the bulb, and there is nno mainntenance man. I stayed here because other Quality Inn's I have stayed at have been very nnice. The people whho own this shouuld lose their franchise. They obviouusly donn't care abouut good value for their custommers.
