D Eastern Hotel

Staff is very Friendly. Room is clean and the bed is very Comfortable. Unfortunately, Inside the room can hear outside Room sound. Location is the town. Walking Distance to the chicken rice Shop and night Market.

Rooms are spacious and beds comfortable — hotel staff were very helpful with allowing us to leave our bags as we arrived too early to check in. Bathrooms are a huge standout as they're big and have a separate shower which is nice! All in all a great place to stay, very much recommended!

We are from Australia. We stayed at this hotel for 5 nights in January 2026. When we first arrived we met Mr Ho at the reception desk, he was very pleasent and helpful. Later on during our stay we mainly dealt with 3 staff members. Sheila from Housekeeping took care of our room change etc. Prasad & Devi from the reception desk went out of their way to help us in many aspects. We were having trouble booking bus tickets to Melacca, Devi helped us out.
Contrary to what people say, there is a lot to do in Ipoh.
There are good eating places nearby. PS: Good hot shower.
If we visit Ipoh again, we will be staying in this hotel.

Through observation and one night staycation here, this hotel gives a pleasant and experience of good accomodation and a comfy stays.
The reception are friendly and accomodative my thumbs up to their hospitality. This hotel are a non smoking establishment. This is one of the great value for this hotel. The room are comfy and accomodative most of the amenities required are available in side the room.

They’re lacking a lot of basic stuff that’s expected from a hotel: there’s only one single hanger and they don’t have handwashing soap (? ), also the water heater is super hard to adjust. Expected for the price though. DO NOT DRIVE OUT OF THE CARPARK AT SUNDAY you won’t be able to go back in there’s a flea market that blocks the road. Hotel staff are efficient and nice, very hospitable. Honestly there’s not much to do in Ipoh though.
Engine sounds are SOOOO loud at night. I know it’s not the hotel’s fault but omg.

This hotel is clean and tidy. The space of the room and toilet is big. Their price is reasonable.

I recently checked in at D Eastern Hotel Ipoh. Even though it’s an older hotel, the interior looks newly renovated and is very clean. The staff are friendly and helpful, and most importantly, the price is very reasonable. Overall, it’s a great value for money stay!

We had a very nice stay. The location is good. Nice, clean and specious room. The staffs were supper friendly and caring.

Location: Walking distance to most popular eatery place.
Parking: Designated first come first serve car park at the back of the hotel.
Price: Very affordable.
Cleanliness: Need to improve. There are many ants and gecko in the room. Bedsheet and towel have stain and turn greyish.

I've stayed in this hotel twice recently. I was given a room on the 1st n 3rd floor respectively. Both of the room hd the same issue. There was this sharp edges protruding from the floor trap in the shower room. Parents with young children should take note of this. Your kids can easily/accidentally get their feet cut during showers.

This hotel have a great location with short walk to the night market and old town area. Staffs are friendly and helpful. Reasonable price. Room are big with basic facilities and acceptable clean. Some room have problems with soundproof at the hotel is right at the corner of streets. In overall, this is a good place to stay at Ipoh.

Hotel is very strategic, staff are very friendly and polite.
The room has some musky smell and got ants. And the mattress is too hard for our liking.
Water pressure was okay. Have ample parking behind the hotel 1st come 1st serve.
Overall, it was a good stay for the price.

Very friendly staff here! Recommended!
This hotel is nearby to the city centre.
Memory lane (open every sunday) with many stalls of old-historical stuff is in walking distance from this hotel.
Good place to stay if you visit Ipoh.

I had a fantastic stay here for 2 nights from 24 to 26 Oct 2024. My standard room with a double bed was clean, comfortable, and most importantly quiet. The staff were friendly and most responsive to my requests (i. E. More mineral water and paper toiletries). Thanks for the excellent service and for kindly arranging a quiet room for me. 🙏😊

This hotel have a great locations. It nears the main road, places and the bus station. For the room is really good not the best but it’s already fine, but what I love the most is the services from the owner and the worker there. Thank you so much for the services.

The room is clean and tidy for triple room. The staffs are supportive. Reserved car parks available for customers. The hotel location is very strategic in which it is less than 10 minutes drive to tourist hotspots. Bottled water is provided. However, it would be better if the water dispenser is available at lobby or each floor. Overall it is a great stay.

This hotel is good if you dont drive as parking is a problem. The good points — location very good, kopitiam, dimsum restuarants, etc within walking distance. If you decide to go Pusing Public Restuarant, that very popular place, you walk from behind hotel through reception, is shorter route. The ladies at the reception are friendly, polite n helful if you ask for directions. The room is very spacious, we get a Ttiple toom of 1 Queen n 1 Single. The single bed is super single so the 2 single beds room beds same super single. The room is very clean, comfort with electric kettle, coffee packs n simple basic toiletries only. The bad — the bathroom wall has no shelf or tray for u yo put yr shampoo, etc n you end up putting up the high wal1. There is no mini fridge but for that low price you cant complane.
