This hotel is awesome. I love everything about it. However, there is one very big negative. Constant dog barking. I have stayed here two weeks. I have been traveling for 30 yrs and have never had a problem with dogs parking. It is a constant here. I have notified office several times with no change.

Room was clean. Rooms book up fast and the rate was more than fair. Safety was not a concern for me as most people in my opinion keep to themselves.

Good hotel, stayed 2 nights. Front desk attendant was nice and friendly. Everything seemed clean and decently used. Beds were comfy & good breakfast. Couldn’t get much sleep first night, was on first floor and heard steps coming from above.

Pretty quiet during our 2 night stay, didn't get to use the pool but other guests were. Rooms were clean and staff was friendly.

Great service and great staff. Made us feel at home when away from home. Decent Continental breakfast and clean time. Could not ask for more. Would definitely come again. Manager runs a great hotel and is personable.

I've stayed for 2 weeks and the rooms are clean. No seen little critters and new furniture. The housekeeping has done a great job.

A/c didn't work in our room, had to sleep with window open. Questionable stains on bed, slept on top of the covers. Downstairs smelled like gas. The walls we're thin, could hear every thing in Hall and room next to us. The room keys took forever to read. Brown stains in the toilet and bathtub. For what I paid, I should have just went to a 5 star hotel. Pass.

I stay here every time I come to Kansas City. Good location near stadium, shopping and restaurants. Hotel staff has always been friendly. Ok breakfast in mornings. Rooms have plenty of space. Hotel is easy on/off from highway.

Great staff they are friendly and very helpful. I had a horrible experience with the hotel in front of this one so they made sure my stay here was 5 stars. And it was I stayed a extra couple nights because the rates were reasonable and staff was awesome.

I enjoy staying at this location very much, It is handy when i'm in the area for business and leisure, Kym at the front desk is very helpful and friendly, sociable and attentive. and will make fresh coffee for me if there's none! She's an asset to Super 8 and deserves a raise!

I have never stayed at a hotel where I had to pay a deposit of 50.00 on top of the room itself. When I booked my room by phone never once was told about a deposit on top of room charge. I would have stayed elsewhere. But staff very friendly. J.

The price was reasonable. Location was perfect for our needs, just off I70 and about 20 minutes from downtown. Front desk attendant was wonderful. Rooms were standard for a budget travel motel, clean but very basic. Would recommend for a traveler who needs a decent inexpensive place to stay.

This is the best maintained super 8 I have been to in years. The staff show real pride in there work and production. Becky was amazing in her efforts to make the room special.

Was easy to find, right behind Best Western. Was clean. Breakfast typical motel, but no bacon, ham, or sausage. Bedwas Ok, although could hear a broken spring. Would stop there again because it was clean safe area.

This was such a good hotel. I couldn't believe my luck so close to the city. Great everything. I'll definitely be back.

Staff is always very nice. Accommodations have been updated and were nicely done. The air in our room was damp during our stay — even with the AC on. Didn't mention it until checkout. Front desk was genuinely interested in the details of what was going on and I got the impression the issue would be looked into. Enjoyed our stay.

Very reasonable rate. Kim at the desk was always helpful with a smile. Would recommend for sure! Biscuits and gravy before we hit the road. We will definitely stay here again if in the area.

I stayed here for four weeks after a fire destroyed my camper trailer. It was not a dirty place. Very well kept. My mom bought me pizza and they delivered it to the front desk and clerk brought it to me. Awesome staff.

This is my second time staying at this hotel and their service always exceptional. Newly renovated and nice room décor. The service is exceptional. The management is great and staff is amazing. Breakfast has bunch of choices and different protein options. Overall I will give this hotel a thumbs up for the exceptional everything. My family and I enjoyed our stay.

I've stayed here many times and never had a problem. Actually loved the place! I was always well accommodated and my stay was always comfortable and relaxing until this last time I stayed there and it will be my last. They charged me a 50 dollar deposit and never refunded and then tried to blame it on my bank for not releasing the funds While I was on the phone with my bank telling me that it was in fact the merchant that had not released it. I had to file a claim against them and it still hasn't been resolved.

Very friendly staff (unlike some other local motels), upgraded bathrooms, very clean rooms, good AC, great breakfast. I would recommend this place over others in a heartbeat. The biggest impression was the kindness and willingness of the office staff.

For the cost, the Best Western next door is way better. Same price, better amenities, bigger, more modern rooms. Staff was VERY accommodating, if the facilities were on par with best Western, I'd say go to the super 8. If their prices were better, I'd say go to the super 8, but they aren't, so here's my review.

Super 8 independence I highly recommend for all the right reasons. I travel for work often and anytime I come here, I'm never disappointed. Staff is more than polite, very respectful and clean. The rooms are really comfortable, clean and that helps for a great night sleep. I'd stay any day.

Rooms and hotel were very clean, hallways and room did have a strange smell but once we turned the ac unit on it was less noticable. Beds and pillows smelled clean and we're very soft. Overall great stay. The hotel is also in a nice location, lots of stores, gas stations and restaurants nearby. Area seemed very safe.

Kind of a dank smoke filled older hotel. The floors kind of shake when guests walk up and down stairs. Nice staff tho.

Convenient location. Clean and modern rooms. Small but adequate breakfast bar. Overall good place to get a room.

Wish I have 0 star for this bec this $59 price didn't say for week only. There was sign say device upon request, Walk in ask for room device for deaf and was told none and cost 139.00 for one nite. I walk out disappointed.

My stay here wasn't very welcoming, we walked in and the front desk person seemed very annoyed. The rooms are very small and the bathroom gets very wet, EVERYWHERE. There's no way to keep the water from getting so much on the floor than you have to use a bunch of towels to soak it up. Plus they don't have conditioner, only shampoo. A bottle of water is a DOLLAR. Like really, hotels should offer free water. Another thing is after coming back around 10, the front desk again not being greeter friendly, I went up to the second floor and could very much smell weed which was very obvious it was weed.

The staff were very friendly and greeted me with a smile which made smile. When I first walked in the guy was on the phone but asked them to hold so he could help me. There is a $100 deposit that they don't tell you about until you read the multiple signs at the front desk but is refunded after you check out in accordance with your bank's policy. The last Super 8 I stayed at was only a $25 deposit. I had reserved a standard queen non-smoking room through a third party, which is what I received. I later called to ask if I could request a room with a mini fridge as I wasn't sure if all the rooms had them (she was friendly and said most do and she could put in my request but she couldn't guarantee it, which was fine). My room did have a mini fridge in it even though I forgot to ask again when I checked in! The room itself smelled of old cleaning supplies but I got use to it. The bathroom lighting was old and the a/c only worked on fan or heat but it was fine on fan for it being 65-70 degrees out. The bed was fine, not super comfortable but clean. Despite the few cosmetic issues, I didn't have any problem that disrupted my stay in any way and the staff were quick to help.

Clean, nice, not too in your face or nosy — only complaints would be that it gets pricey quick due to hidden charges and front desk staff kinda awkward.

My reservation requested ground floor and I requested not to have to use elevator due to lots of luggage from ski trip and coming in very late… I am mad so I am reviewing this at 156am local time. First they gave me the ground floor but after calling twice and them confirming my request they failed to explain there are still some stairs and sharp corners to navigate … thus I selected my most valuable bags to actually unload and bring Inside… which brings up another issue… fortunately the heavy rain had just stopped but they did not build a covered driveway to unload… instead they Installed parking spaces in front of the check In area… poorly designed… and not so budget as one would think super8 to be. You decide!

I stayed at this Super 8 and left my wallet in the nightstand with $900.00 in it. I got down the road about 2 hours and realized I forgot it. I pulled over and called the front desk and she called the lady who stripped the room but did not get an answer so she went and checked for me only to tell me the room had been cleaned and no wallet was in there. If only 2 people had been in that room why was my wallet missing? And to add to that I filed a police report but they did not come out to search her or the property. The manager was adamant about his staff not stealing but some of the employee's said she got it her name is Teresa. She stood in my face and told me no wallet was in there when she went went in yeah right. Yes I know I should have checked before I left but I forgot we all do but it doesn't merit her stealing. Still angry with the way they handled this situation.

Great place to stay. Would highly recommend. Close to downtown (10 minutes) and maybe 2/3 miles from Royals Stadium. People at front desk were very friendly and professional. Breakfast was good and the rooms were clean. For just over $50 I think this place holds it's own against higher priced competitors. I've had worse experiences at places that charge twice the price. Only complaint is the Wi-Fi. We were on very east side of building and it never worked. They may want to work on that for future guests as it seems to be an ongoing problem. Surrounding area is fine with lots of places to eat and or shop.

The beds were super comfy. The halls smelled like smoke. The pool was too cold to go into. The shower didn't have enough water power, I could hardly feel it. The waffles at breakfast were good. The rooms look way better than the pictures online do. Nice 40 inch lg tv's. Would maybe stay again if it didn't cost as much.

Don't stay here at this place the staff are very rude. They force you to only take a taxi company name by checker which they will rip you off tell you one price later on it will double down the road stay a way from this place and checker at all cost.

Came in from California to visit fam, Stayed here for a week and I loved it. I think this is one of the best hotel's I have ever stayed at. The staff is really nice and the rooms are really clean and have lot of room, and there's a lot of parking, and the breakfast is Free and really good. They have a good variety of things for breakfast waffles, oatmeal, boiled eggs, yogurt, fruit cinnamon rolls, coffee, juice, milk. I really Recommend anybody to stay here.

Beware of this hotel I will not stay the stuff is very rude and what to tell you what company that you can use to get pick up to go places like the game or any where the company they are using is an joke please stay away from this hotel.

I've been coming to this location for a while now and all I can tell you is that the staff is very friendly and willing to work with you in many scenarios.

My husband and I checked in on our way to visit with family. Amanda at the front desk was really nice and helpful! The room was very clean, clean sheets, nice towels, and our stay was great.

Just move into the area and my place was not ready, my family and I stayed at this hotel for 20 days. Clean, reasonable, pet friendly, staff friendly, only problem I encounter was how the front desk bill your credit cards but the staff explain the hotel billing processing. Over all good service.

Not so shabby, but if you're driving a truck, there's room to realistically park one tractor trailer on the street. Thankfully I made friends with the manager at K mart who let me drop my trailer there.
