Picked for price & location but it ended up being a lot more. Was well maintained & clean, desk staff was very friendly, the bed was very comfortable, and last but BEST… the shower. I warned my husband he was not going to want to come out of it & he said exactly right. We have never had a motel shower so perfect in every way! Neil the manager visited briefly in the breakfast nook & invited us back! Don't let the room rate & outside view fool you!

Decent hotel for the price. You get what you pay for. Not fancy by any means but it's a hot and a cot. Room was very clean although dated. The reason for the 3 stars has got to be the beds. The two beds in my room were very very VERY firm. Not really my bag. I was in town working and didn't spend much time in the room but it was fine enough for my simple self.

Great place to stay for how inexpensive! Late check in staff was very friendly and knowledgeable about the local area, road conditions, etc. Clean rooms, good ac, newly updated, comfy bed, fast Wi-Fi. Monster tv. What else could a weary traveler want?

For $50, probably one of the best hotels I've stayed at. Where you're paying a low price all you're looking for is a nice best and cold A/C and that's what you get with this hotel. Breakfast isn't great but that's to be expected. Awesome hotel for the price and great location.

Pleasant surprise. I stay at Hiltons most of the time, but we just needed a cheap, clean place to sleep for a night and decided to give this a try based on reviews. The room was recently updated and clean. The bed was a bit firm but still reasonably comfortable. I would definitely stay here again.

Check in was quick. Rooms were very clean. Staff very helpful. Breakfast was great. Very quiet and comfortable.

I always have a great stay when I stay at the Horizon. The rooms are always clean and the staff is always nice. They go out of there way to make sure you have a great stay. I will always stay here when I come to Lincoln.

This is a great place to stay if you're looking for a cheap, but still a newer look room and clean place to stay. The gentleman at the desk is the man! He is foreign, but speaks phenomenal English and will go above and beyond for you. We were a few minutes late for the breakfast in the morning, but he still allowed us to eat privately inside breakfast room. He also offered us more waffle batter if we would like. Like I said, he is super friendly and wished us a safe trip home. I would definitely recommend this for a cheap stay near Lincoln or Omaha area. Less than $140 for two nights. Rooms are updated with brand new beds (a little on the stiff side), brand new TVs, fridges, microwaves, blow dryers, new paint, and they have free Wi-Fi, satellite channels with free HBO and CINEMAX. I would definitely stay here again. No pool or hot tub though if this is a need for you. It was not for us or our group. Just wanted a cheap, nice, clean place to stay, because we were going to basically use to sleep and shower. Oh and the free breakfast was a plus as well!

This is a good hotel. It doesn't cost much and you get breakfast for free. People are friendly and help when they can. I would recommend it for everyone. The rooms were clean and just replaced most of the furniture. It's a good hotel.

My parents stayed here and thought it was great for a 2 star. They said the room they stayed in was brand new, bed was comfortable, breakfast was good, and the motel beyond the normal for the price. Neil, the gentleman who check them in was friendly and helpful.

Great motel! Was passing through Lincoln and stayed at the horizon; great price, and the room was very clean! Big flat screen TV and breakfast in the morning. Cant beat it.

I loved this place. The rooms were so very neat and clean. The staff was great. I have zero complaints. The only change I'd make is maybe cups for hot liquid in the rooms. I would recommend this to anyone and everyone.

Location is decent, got to out event downtown in less then 10 minutes. The rooms were good, the extremely friendly front desk manager said they had recently done a lot of work, and it showed, lots of new paint and carpet mixed with some worn but still clean furniture and appliances. I was pleased at how clean they were, especially considering they have pretty low rates. Only complaints we're the blankets were pretty thin and the bed was not very soft, but considering the overall value, I will definitely be back.

The horizon inn has thus far received an unfair wrap, the service was friendly and timely, the rooms were clean and free of any bugs. The beds and sheets are new as well as the television, the shower stayed hot and fully pressurized the entire time. Free breakfast was the classic waffle maker/bagel options with hot coffee. I travel a lot, and have stayed at plenty of cheap hotels. The horizon inn is no cheap hotel, but rather an inexpensive oasis from the cold Nebraska roads. The rooms all have working heat and air, and cable tv. The front desk persons both at day and night are super friendly and helpful. Will definitely be making another stay here next time I stop in Nebraska. Very professional and well recommended staff/facilities.

This isn't a 5 star hotel but it has so much going for it and we always stay here when we are in town. They have upgraded beds and tv's. There is a basic breakfast and the rooms are clean. The staff is friendly and remembers us. The rates are unbeatable for a good night sleep in a nice safe place.

I would have given this hotel 5 stars except when we got in our room the heat was not on and it was freezing. It took the room a couple hours to warm up thoroughly. Fortunately for us we got in late and went right to sleep. It was a great room in general exceeded expectations for the price. Clean furnishings, friendly front desk help. The breakfast looked to be the typical light continental breakfast. We would definitely stay again.

The desk clerk was great in getting us a ground floor room, ad I couldnt go up stairs very well. The room was clean and newly remodeled. The bathroom fixtures need to be updated. The hotel was very quiet and we got a great night sleep. The air conditioner was already on when we arrived and room was very comfortable as temp outside was 100. Manager was very helpful and very nice. We would definately stay here again.

Good value for price. Friendly owner who has made many upgrades and cared about our comfort and satisfaction. On I-80, a quick drive downtown.

This motel was very clean, and you can definetly tell almost everything was recently remodeled. It was a nice, quiet place to spend the night. I was pleasantly surprised by the graciousness and hospitality of the staff. Think, your best friend bought and remodeled a small motel and is doing a better job than you ever imagined. We booked a great deal online, too. Would definetly recommend as a quiet place to rest for a weary traveler. I just had a great waffle breakfast, too!

Very nice staff, clean spacious room, felt like new. Comfortable bed and nice room accents. I would definitely stay here again. Breakfast selection was weak, fruit, oatmeal or boiled eggs would be a great addition.

We were taking a trip with our family and we needed a place to spend the night. We booked Horizon based on other people's reviews. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. We had a problem with our first room and even though they were very booked, they helped accommodate us. The owner went out of his way to help us, even though he had family visiting. The rooms were clean and there is definitely value for money staying at Horizon Inn.

I chose the Horizon Inn primarily because of the rate. The staff was very courteous and pleasant. The my room was clean and comfortable. I think the only negative to my stay was that the pillows could stand to be replaced. The bed although a bit firm for my liking, was clean and comfortable to sleep in. If you're looking for some place that's wallet friendly and not high end but very clean, this is the place. I would easily stay here again and recommend the Horizon Inn to anyone.

Very welcoming and friendly at the front desk. Rooms have been updated since my last stay in July 2016. I was very satisfied with my stay. I wouldn't hesitate to refer them to friends and family.

Rooms have been recently remodeled. Clean and a great price. AC unit in my room was loud when it shut off, but not loud enough to wake me in the night. Friendly night staff. Would definitely stay here again. Awesome price!

Nice new remodeled rooms. Beds are comfy and the staff was awesome. Always friendly and helpful. Would stay here again. Also good prices for the room and it's only 10 minutes from downtown, as well as the Pinnacle Bank Arena. Also very close to the airport and interstate.

Love staying here. Neil is a very caring man and bends over backwards to help anyone. We were running late and had run into detours due to bad windstorms that had just went through and he called us and was letting us know to drive safe. The room was cooled down and waiting. He even made sure we were on the first floor because my husband and I have such bad knees. He was helping doing laundry one day to help the staff as they were short handed. We have family here so when ever we come back this will be our stop. Very great and reasonably priced! Thanks Neil!

We are traveling from TN to OR and the Horizon Inn is a pleasant little gem right off the interstate that provided us exactly what we needed for an awesome price. We enjoyed talking to the friendly staff and found every convenience food and drink wise was within delivery or walking distance. If you're looking for a clean and comfortable place to stay at a cost less than any big chain hotel, this is your stop! We will gladly stay again.

The Horizon In Motel was conveniently located just 10 minutes from our concert venue (Pinnacle Arena), and is fortunate enough to have a gas station immediately adjacent to it. While small, the rooms were clean and sheets appeared to have been laundered. The pillows were rather stiff, but not so uncomfortable that one wouldn't be able to fall asleep. The TV, shower, and vanity areas all worked as intended with no complaints. The service was friendly and the cost was quite reasonable (I believe we only paid $60 for an overnight stay). You will need to put down a $50 security deposit upon checking in, so as to insure the hotel against the use of any smoke-products in the room by the guests. This deposit will be given back to you upon checkout and an quick inspection of the room by the manager. Breakfast consisted of cereal, make-your-own waffles, juice, coffee, milk, and bagels. Everything but the juice was up to par with typical motel food; that is to say, it was quite edible. Unfortunately, the juice was rather watery and unappetizing. Overall, considering the price, the Horizon Inn Motel serves it's intended function and is not unclean or unfavorable, as one might expect a motel to be when priced so reasonably. I would gladly stay here again.

Friendly staff, decent room size. Pretty good deal for your money. All I can really say is, don't expect a luxury bed when you're ballin' on a budget.

Bathroom was very dirty. Shower had hair in the drain and you could scratch the soap scum off the shower wall. Didnt even take a shower because didnt want to get in the shower. The wallpaper was coming off the wall paint was chipped and coming off the wall. The Bed was very hard and uncomfortable two sheets and old scratchy blanket and very flat pillows. One of the worst hotels ive stayed and in and not to mention it was expensive I thought for such a bad experience.

Clean, affordable motel where the owners are friendly. Continental breakfast was adequate. Didn't include any fruits but served its purpose fine. Enjoyed the waffle maker, I did.

Pros: Good price for the area Very clean Friendly staff Breakfast was decent Comfy bed Cons: Limited parking — they wanted us to park across the street at Perkins, ended up waiting for a spot to open up AC didn't work well, luckily it was a cool night and the fan was sufficient. The couch cushions are too small for the couch. (see picture) — It didn't really bother us, but if you want to watch TV it might be a problem.

Stopped at this hotel on our way across the country after reading the reviews but I have to say the previous reviews just didn't match up. It is very easy to find, seems kind of sketchy around it but we didn't have any problems even with stuff attached on top of the car. The man at the front desk was nice. They are apparently working on some renovations right now but in the hallway to our room they had mini fridges, multiple mattresses and couches all leaning up against the wall… it was kind of like a maze to even get into our room. Place had an interesting smell as a whole but our bathroom smelt very moldy! When I was in the shower I was able to see the toilet bowl at a different angle and there was a bunch of black mold growing around the top rim of the toilet bowl… most likely where the smell was coming from. Didn't stay for breakfast so cannot comment there. Maybe when this place is done with construction it will be more pleasant. On the plus side it was cheap so if you're just looking for a bed and a roof over your head it's alright.

Location was easy to find. Rooms were nice and clean service was over the top. A little dark for my taste in color and the A. C. Needed to be fixed. But for the 6hr stay it was worth the 60$

So I gotta say, it's not often that I write a review for a place but I felt the need to here. I am driving across the country from the eastern side of PA to the western side of Wyoming. This place has been great. The guy at the front desk was super nice and helpful. Not only did he give me a discount on the room but he also pushed my check out time to noon so I could get some extra sleep before hitting the road. My room was nice and clean, shower was clean, bed was clean. It wonderful. My only complaint is that the shower was a little small for me but being 6'2 and 260 pounds every shower is small to me haha.

The good: conveniently located near the airport and highway, the entire staff is super friendly & accommodating, easy parking, and every room has a nice TV, refrigerator, and microwave. The bad: very minimal breakfast selection, weak shower head, slow draining tub, soap & shampoo are of low quality, and it's easy to be disturbed by neighboring rooms because of the floor layout.

The rooms had been renovated very nicely with new TV's, interior decor and beds. The manager was very friendly. New carpeting was also to be added in the near future. Breakfast was adequate and in a clean environment. I will stay there again the next time I travel through Nebraska.

Very convenient to downtown, about 6 minutes. Clean rooms and lobby. Staff was friendly and helpful. Not the most comfortable room, but perfect for one or two nights stay. Seperate keyed entrances on the sides of the building was handy. Small, not too noisy.

My stay at the horizon motel was excellent and provided all the amenities. I stayed in lincoln ne by the airport. The rooms were cozy and quiet. The service was excellent.

This place was great. Easy, quick check in, all new furniture and mattress. Quiet and a decent place to stay. Will use again next time I am passing through Lincoln.

We had a great time, Neil was wonderful to us, the rooms were very clean and the beds were comfortable, slept great… this was the second stay here, this will be are home away from home when we come to lincoln, highly recommend, give them a try next time you need a place.

The folks running this nice little hotel were very very friendly and accommodating. The rooms were very clean, the bed was very comfortable, and the breakfast was just right! I wish it'd have had a little coffe maker in the room, but I survived! It was all around very nice. I would highly recommend this hotel!

If I could stay in 100 of these I would. Great and friendly place. Clean rooms newly renovated, Wi-Fi breakfast and a nice flat screen TV. I would recommend this hotel in a heart beat. If I am ever this way again I will be booking here. Great rate for everything you get! Front desk helped me with directions and carried my bag down the stairs!

The beds were VERY NICE. The room smelled but the staff was very courteous and my kids enjoyed the breakfast. The management is trying very hard to upgrade this motel. Very close to the freeway and we got a discount at the Perkins Restaurant across the street. If we had to travel through Lincoln again, we would probably book it again because of the price.

Clean, comfy room, good location. Very courteous. We have stayed in for hotels at this exit, this was cheap and I prefer to Luxury or Econo, and it's cheaper than Travelodge. However, they use an awful lot of Febreeze and we had to air out the room for hours. And wish they wouldn't use Styrofoam for breakfast.

Nice and clean. I would have gave it a 5 but the pillows need upgraded still a good deal.

Brand spanking new beds are very comfortable. Felt like possible memory foam. New big flat screen TVs. I could hear my neighbors TV when I wasn't running the fan so might want to bring ear plugs just in case. I appreciated the fast and free Wi-Fi. Close to the interstate and a few restaurants. I would stay here again. The breakfast had a waffle maker, cereal, toast bagels, cream cheese, and a juice machine.

Horizon Inn sets next to a train track, near the airport which I flew from the next morning. When I arrived the reception agent was kind I brought my belongings to the room and left 30 minutes later for a meeting downtown. At about 9pm I returned to do some follow up work from the previous meetings that day, I determined the internet was not working I alerted the new reception agent on duty who kept brushing me off I felt ignored as he failed to supply me with helpful answers. I brought my laptop out to the reception desk and it continued to not work we made sure I was on the correct network and the internet consistently was spotty and non responsive to a working manner, as a result I had to sleep in my car and continue my work from a café near by, I should be compensated I never stayed in the hotel and the amenities were not as promised Horizon should be forthcoming with their guest is they cant meet certain accommodations I will not be referring this location to any colleagues and regret I made a reservation with this Inn.

This is a newer pretty clean motel. It is right off the freeway next to a gas station. The manager was very helpful. The free breakfast was very sparse.
