Very clean and nice stay.

The hospitality customer service of the staff and seeing momentum pics of priceless pictures, the food too.

The breakfast buffet was very good but this is the first time I’ve ever had to pay for breakfast at a hotel. And I’ve stayed at quite a few hotels. Overall the hotel was nice, clean, friendly and reasonable. I would stay here again.

I don’t stay in hotels often but here are my thoughts. Desk staff was pleasant, dining staff very friendly and rooms clean. Not to mention decently done. We had breakfast ($10) one of the two mornings which was good. The only con’s I could come up with was I thought there should be ventilation fans in the bathroom to be rid of shower steam and odor. Beyond that, the hallways and elevators were too warm. (Not climate controlled)

Parking was decent. Room was very nice (TV is a little outdated though). Service was phenomenal, with a special shootout to Skip. He was awesome.

Amazing experience. The hotel was beautiful and the room was nice. But, the highlight was Skip the breakfast chef. We had the best conversation and he made a delicious omelet. If you have the pleasure of meeting him, remember to try the sausage gravy. I cant wait to visit again.

This hotel is not good at all. I had reservations for 2 rooms next to each other and when I got here the rooms were not next to each other, one was all the way down the hall and around the corner. I went straight to the feont desk to fix the problem and waited for another room closer and they stated the room would only take 30 minutes to clean. I have waited an hour and still no room. The rooms were already paid for amd the supervisor does not want to comp us for our rooms. This is totally unacceptable, they have no problem taking my money but wont fix the problem, this property is not worth the stay at all.

The staff was amazingly helpful & friendly! Very nice rooms and atmosphere. Will be my "Go To" hotel when I'm in town.

I was so impressed with not only the staff, but the rooms and pool. My room was much bigger than expected. The pool, though I did not use it, was bright, big and clean. It was surrounded by floor to ceiling windows that had an outside view. You could also walk out of the pool onto a grassy area with tables and chairs. I will be going back in about 2 months and I promise you, I will be staying there again.

Kind and caring staff. Very professional. The room was very clean and comfortable. Would definitely stay again. Breakfast was great. Especially the chef's homemade sausage gravy!

It is quiet because it sits back from the main road but very close to 64. This made a short commute to the coliseum area. I was close enough to walk to dining, shopping and a movie theater.

Nice location. Clean rooms. GREAT (unexpected) breakfast. Skip was "the man" and has the best biscuits and gravy around. Worth a stop just for this.

Clean rooms. Decent price. Well trained front desk people. The rooms can use a little updating and the finishing touches are missing from many areas. I didn't get to try out the pool/spa nor the workout room unfortunately but they seemed in decent order. I would recommend this place especially with the senior discount.

The breakfast is good, the rooms are clean with poor sound insulation. Pool is good, chlorine not salt water. Hot tub was green, and smelled funny. In a very walkable location. Overall not the best.

We stay here a lot. The hotel is nice. About a 4 outta 5. Only because it’s not a five star hotel. Hotel staff is accommodating and beds are comfortable with the added benefit of personnel adjustments. Lots of choices for dining within walking distance. Also movie theater if it’s raining and you’re stuck in the room. Uber or Lyft to beach and historical areas is between $9-$17 depending.

Didn't really care for it. Was there for work so when it was time to relax I couldn't even watch tv, cable was in and out. Window fan wasn't working properly and when I reported it nothing was done. Sorry, I'd stay elsewhere.

The staff was wonderful, above and beyond. I went out to clear the snow off if my car and scrape my windows and Calvin (member of the Hilton Garden Inn team) had already took care of it for me and other customers — 5 stars! Breakfast was great, the GM was filling in for one of his members due to the inclement weather — clearly he is able to cover all responsibilities. The waitress Lynn was very nice and made sure everyone was taken care of and the 2 ladies at the front desk were great as well! Would definitely stay again, especially when there is inclement weather!

Cocerige guy was very nice and helpful. I did not stay overnight.

The rooms are comfortable and spacious. It has a good gym and a small bar. The customer service is very good. I recommend it.

Nice big room with king size bed. Breakfast was smooth with a cook on hand. I was happy with the stay and the price was good too.

I wasn't there for room and board but I have experienced some of the amenities of the hotel and I must say that the Great American Grill was very nice. The service was fast and competent, the atmosphere was serene (albeit a tad outdated) and the food was delicious. I will return to this location.

No Hot Water! We checked in on Saturday 2 Sept for a four night stay. The hotel was beautiful. Check in was easy. The hotel appeared to be full with my family. They all had smiles. The room appeared clean. Then I noticed there was no bed skirt to take away from the elegance of the room but what was shocking was the temperature of the water in the shower. Took seven showers and only two were hot. The shower water was COLD! I called the desk Sunday morning and the desk clerk told me she was going to inform the manager when he arrives in the morning. In the morning my shower was colder. I called the desk and received the same message. The desk told me they had received many messages about the cold water but they hadn't heard anything regarding a repair. They said the would contact the manager and inquire about a repair. I took a cold shower Monday morning and went to meet the manager. No manger in site again. I got his number and left a message. I received no response. I checked in the morning. I was very uncomfortable taking a cold shower. Can you imagine making a child take a cold shower? The water from the sink was cold too.

NO HOT WATER! Staff is very friendly but I could not enjoy my stay because I could not take a proper shower. This is a health hazard and I am tempted to report them to the Health Department because they are serving food in an establishment without hot water. After doing further research, I realize that this is a problem that this property has been dealing with for a while but they are still checking guest in daily. Disgusting and I'm not going to let this rest. Im going all the way to the top if I have to so that future guest will not have to suffer like we did.

It's fine. The food's alright and the rooms are clean. I find it hard to give five stars when expectations are merely met.

Descent rates, clean room, and great service. The new Chef Emily in the cafe is fantastic (as is the rest of the staff).

Wow! Was in town for a conference. Absolutely the most fantastic staff, made each day start beautifully with their kind words and outstanding service. Nice room, great breakfast that was worth the price, the nicest employees. When you hug staff as you leave, that says it all.

We were able to use the app to choose our room and set a check in time, which I set for 3pm. Unfortunately, the room was not available until about 4, which was a little annoying after a long drive. Room was clean, hotel is right off 64 and easy to get around. Plenty of dining nearby. Pool is pretty small, but it is indoor and heated.

Easily accessible location. The room was clean and welcoming. Didn't care for the restaurant. Would give the hotel 5 stars and the dining facility 1.

Hotel is nice. Nearby the airport and close to local attractions. Rooms are clean and modern. Staff is nice and they have a good breakfast (not free). Of you have a long stay it is next door to a movie theatre.

The hotel has a lot to offer. It is responsible and very clean. I have no complaints!

A little overpriced, but it's Hilton, what can you do? The room, while registered as non-smoking, sort of smelled like smoke. The bed seemed to sink the longer you slept in it, giving one the feeling of a slow descent to the floor — not completely comfortable. While the staff was helpful and nice, the prices in the adjacent 'store' as well as the room service menu and provided television channel options, left much to be desired, forcing this guest to pick up supplies and food elsewhere. While not a total loss, if I were in the area in the future, I would find a hotel truly worth the price that Hilton demands. One that truly earns what it asks for.

Staff are great and will bend over backwards to ensure their guests are satisfied. Rooms are clean and breakfast is wonderful. They cook eggs to order and have a wait staff if you need anything. Indoor pool is nice because the hot tub is right by it so you can watch your kids while relaxing.

Very nice hotel in a location convenient to CNU, 64, and the airport. Looks recently remodeled and a much better deal that the Marriott in City Center.

We had a family reunion in Newport News and nearly 40 of us stayed at this hotel. It was very clean and the staff couldn't have been nicer! The lounge area was perfect for our gathering place and the breakfasts were wonderful. The hotel was easily accessible and a good value. We would stay there again without hesitation.
