This morning I went to make coffee, and realized that the coffee pot had old, molding coffee in the pot, and an old coffee filter still inside. My husband “moved in” to the room on Friday, and I myself came yesterday (Sunday). My husband by the way does not drink coffee. I immediately went to speak with the front desk about this incident in our room. I expressed how it did not instill much confidence in me that our room had been cleaned properly, according to regular standards, let alone the standards that should be upheld during this time of the Covid Pandemic. She immediately started getting defensive and said "I don’t know what you want me to do, I’m sorry. I can go switch it out for you. ” I said how I was happy to clean it myself, but that I just wanted to make sure that the management team was aware that the rooms weren’t being cleaned properly, and she cuts me off at the end and said, “I am the manager” and walks out on me talking. She goes on talking about how they only clean the rooms once a week and they don’t have the staff. I informed her again that this was left from the prior residents, not our family, thinking that maybe she misunderstood me. She says “Oh I know. ”. I can tell she is getting upset, so say, “I realize this isn’t your fault directly, I just wanted to let you know that maybe your team should be briefed better. " She comes out crying and still very defensive and says, “Oh I’m aware. I have to check the rooms after their done”.
