Great for sports groups. Hot breakfast for whole hotel. Near airport. Updated. Immaculate. Very nice staff. Housekeeper recognized me in the lobby and asked me to wait while she went and retreived the phone cord I left behind in my room! Negatives: tiny pool… but the kids didn't care. No restaurant but one across street has great food.

Clean nice people at counter.

Loved it! Comfortable beds, 2 bathrooms really came in handy for 3 people!

This location is AMAZING! After a terrible experience at another property in the area this SpringHill Suites was kind, generous, and most importantly understand! When I return to this area there is no place I would rather stay but here!

116 has a very weird smell in it like body odor or really bad soap. Couldn't figure it out, but was not pleasant. The up keep on this Springhill not great. Bunch of sticky stuff on floor by coffee. I bumped this to 4 stars because of the polite response. I hope it helps for the next guest.

Room was excellent, spacious and comfortable. Even the fold out bed was comfortable. Pool is small but very relaxing. Hot tub was the perfect temperature.

The service is outstanding. Two complaints, the fire alarm went off and they removed the alarm. Still yet to be replaced. Other composing is the fridge door does not close all the way. I used gum packs to set the door on so I can use it.

Newly renovated, with bar in the lobby and a good breakfast. All good. Kathi, the delightful desk clerk made the check in a breeze, and she granted my request for a first floor suite. And not only that, she gave me a menu to the restaurant across the way.

This is my temporary home for a few weeks while working here in Romulus. Must share it's pretty amazing. Management treating us like gold.

Staff is awesome… Great little bar. Workout room is good. Rooms were very nice and comfortable.

Decent hotel for a Springhill Suites. Staff wasn't all that helofuk when asked for a few things. Not rude, just not very helpful.

Remodel is nice. Breakfast can be a lot better. Interesting room layout. Would stay again.

The customer service from walking in the door until we left was phenomenal. The suite we stayed in was well laid out and roomy. Our room had a mini fridge, microwave, tv, office desk and chair. The room could have been slightly cleaner, but it was fine for just an overnight stay. The fridge wouldn't get very cold, but it worked. My main reason for not giving 5 stars would have to be the fact that they had the front desk woman also running the bar which just didn't seem professional. Also the pool is TINY. If you're just looking for somewhere to stay overnight, this is a great spot. If you're bringing family for a while I'd look for a place with a nicer pool area.

Clean, well organized, and very friendly. SHS is my favorite Marriott brand and this property is a prime example of why. Good value for spacious room; all the amenities you need. Helpful dealing with cancelled flights and airport shuttle.

We stayed here on 3-14-18. We woke up and noticed Bed Bugs in the bed (Yes disgusting). Upon checkout I let the desk clerk know and she asked me to send her a email with pictures attached which I did. She stated she would forward this message up to management and someone would be contacting me. Which never happened. I Returned to Michigan on 3-23-18 and again contacted the hotel to complain since I have not heard from them since I left & explaining the issue and the desk clerk took my name and # and said someone would contact me later that day… which once again didn't happen… It is now tbe 25th and it seems they do not care and don't follow thru with what they say.

Springhill Suites by Marioyt Detroit is a wonderful place to stay. It was clean and the staff was extraordinary. We had a great time.

Airport Shuttle: KEVIN DRIVE. Van every 30 min from lobby. Must call for p/u at airport. Follow signs and cross pedestrian bridge to hotel shuttles. Check which brand shuttle it is. They frequently use Four Points and others. Free Breakfast: Breakfast at Springhill Suites 0530-0930 Fridge: In room. Microwave: EVERY ROOM with plates and utensils Gym: Good size, dumbbells up to 50lbs, cardio equipment (4 treadmills, 2 ellipticals, 2 bikes) is vintage 1990s, yoga mats, closes at 10pm daily Pool: Small pool w/hot tub. Adjacent to gym, and just like the gym it closes at 10pm daily.

Susan was AWESOME and went out of her way to help us on 3/1/2018. We were desperate and she helped rejuvenate my belief in the kindness of strangers. Our story: Our flight was cancelled on 3/1/2018 due to snow storm. We called Wyndham and they charged by credit card and gave us a confirmed reservation number (and e-mailed). We arrived at the Wyndham to find that they had no rooms for us or about 40 other people trying to check-in. They yelled at us and offered no help including they wouldn't take any of us back to the airport. I started calling every hotel and finally Susan answered and told me she had just received a cancellation and could give us a room. She told me specifically to not to try to walk from Wyndham and to call back if I couldn't get transportation. Well I tried to get Wyndham or Uber but "no go". I called Susan back and she sent her airport shuttle to pick us up. I will forever be thankful for her kindness and that we didn't have to sleep in the airport.

Stayed here for business for about a week. The room was nice and clean. But my room AC didn't seem to be working. In the middle of winter it was putting out cold air even though set to heat at 75. It was below freezing outside. Thankfully the room stayed fairly warm, warmer with the AC off. My bath door didn't seem to deal well and there was always water on the floor after a shower in the morning. Not to mention the shower took a good 5 minutes most of the time to warm up. And there seemed to be a price of ceiling missing over the shower.

Beautiful hotel! Clean, spacious rooms and amazingly comfortable beds. I love the way the rooms are set up. I would definitely recommend it and come back again.

The rooms are spacious, the beds and pillows comfortable, but had a very difficult time regulating the heat. Floor was quite cold. The breakfast is mediocre at best. The same scrambled eggs every day with half cooked sausage patties. Ran out of their one brand of yogurt by 6:30. Apparently, they don't plan ahead. Other than the size of the room, it's a disappointment!

Location was great, right by the airport, easy to find, ample free parking. Check in was quick and easy and employees were friendly. Rooms were beautiful, fresh and clean, free Wi-Fi and we could even watch our Netflix account. Wonderful night away.

This is one of the newer hotels in that area. Continental breakfast and great staff. The rooms are very spacious, clean, and the beds are comfy. Rooms have a microwave, fridge, and a separate sitting area. Tv's are newer and offer internet TV (YouTube and Netflix with your own subscription). Clean, comfy, and quiet.

Beautiful remolded! It seems like the remodel was recent, mostly everything seems new. But the thing in the shower that holds your soap was broken in two spots and the seal around the shower door leaks. Also the light behind the big round mirror wasn’t working. If they don’t stay on top of maintenance it’ll go down hill real quick! Check in was fast and the lady that checked us in was very polite!

Great location to metro Detroit Airport. Their sleep and park worked great for us. Got a room and 7 nights of parking included in the price.

Very busy but helpful staff. Be patient, they do care but are spread a bit thin at times. The coffee was super hot and fresh. The hotel has some wear but generally comfortable.

This place is very great to stay I like this. The bed is very comfortable.

Weird room layout. Toilet and shower in different tiny rooms. Large windows in doors to shower and toilet disturbed sleeping family members when I got up early. Needed key to turn on lights, which was annoying. Room was clean. Not enough glasses or cups for our party of two. Will probably not stay here again.

Convenient to airport and highways, Clean and comfortable. It would be nice to not have the UBER and Lyft drivers not use the parking lot as a waiting area for the airport. Or at least not utilize the parking spots closest to the hotels.

Marriott hotels are always nice but WOW! This place is nice! I love the updated interiors, room layouts etc. This hotel is in a whole other league compared to the other hotels around the DTW airport.

The breakfast lacked variety and the housekeeping was horrible. It is a nice room but we were there for a week and the room was only properly cleaned twice. They never put towels in the room and we had to buy our own soap because they never left any. The staff at the front desk was very friendly and apologetic. The pool was warm but there were no towels near the pool or the exercise room. You have to use the towels from your room and as I mentioned above the housekeepers never left any. So you have to constantly request towels from the front desk. Shower door in bathroom leaks so the floor is constantly wet after each shower. Stay somewhere else!

Very nice — clean, modern decor throughout. Bed was very comfortable. Upscale bathroom design. Good breakfast. Pretty quiet, considering it's right off the departure end of a runway at DTW.

Location of this hotel is really easy to get in and out of. Our room had a very comfortable feel to it. Very contemporary design and a lot of thought was placed into the design and functionality of the room. Parts of my room were not as clean as I would expect from a respected hotel name and a couple minor things were broken, which is why I would give this 4/5 stars. There was a high turnover rate while we stayed though due to local power outages so I can't really fault them for it not being perfect. Great price though for the quality and service. I'd happily stay again.

The staff is not friendly. The general manager doesn't care about his guests. If you have to stay by the airport stay somewhere else.

New Springhill Suites with a more modern design. This place even used a green, eco-friendly system to control lights and heating/cooling in the room. You have to insert your key card in a slot by the door to control the lights just like in a cruise ship stateroom.

On a positive note, the rooms are spacious and clean with modern decor. That's as far as it goes though. I always request a top floor quiet room because I'm a light sleeper and I always seem to land under a room where the kids above are practicing their hurdles for a future Olympic career. At check in, I reminded the staff member of my request. She told me no 4th floor rooms were available. I was put on the 3rd floor and Olympic trials were immediately heard above me. Fine. I could handle that if those rooms above me were all booked ahead of mine. My son and I ventured down to the pool… which is about the size of a cheap inflatable I could put in my yard. Sign says to shower before swimming. Attempted to do that with the pool shower but it was broke. No clean towels either. Have to leave the pool to tell the desk staff. I almost hit the floor in the hallway outside of the pool due to it being wet. No caution sign is in place to warn guests. When I am waiting at the desk to request towels, a couple is checking in and I hear that their room with be on the 4th floor. Not happy to hear this. After they leave, I ask the desk staff why they were given a 4th floor room when I was denied. The desk staff told me its because I'm not a Marriott rewards member. I am. No apology. No offer to make things right. Won't come back here and certainly won't stay at this chain again. Last minute observation, the hot tub is disgusting.

Rooms have been recently upgraded with very nice accommodations. Minutes from DTW with pretty much anything you need within a ten-minute drive. Pool is small and typically chilly, but the adjacent hot tub will get you warmed back up in no time. Rooms are spacious and very comfortable. Plenty of work space and LOTS of outlets for all of your devices. Sporting News restaurant across the parking lot has excellent food. Definitely my favorite hotel in the area!

Would go nextdoor nexttime. Check in was choatic. I think front desk staff was brand new and wasnt sure of what to do. Our room keys did not work which required a second trip to the desk to get the correct keys. Luckily I wasnt traveling alone which would have required carrying my luggage back down. Issue number 2. Hotel required a deposit via creditcard in case of room charges. So I had them put the 100.00 deposit on my card. As of today it is 8 days, I have called hotel twice andnot getting any satisfactory answers as to why it isnt refunded yet. I travel alot and keep this card just for travel expenses and it makes it easy to account for my expenses. Because of the failure to refund the deposit I was required to drive home from chicago instead of staying. Issue 3. When checking the room when we were getting ready to check out I found items and garbage items that did not belong to us under the edge of the bed. I would not recommend this gohotel to anyone and if you do decide to stay at this hotel put the deposit in cash so they have to give you cash back and checkthe room over good because I know I dont like sleeping in someone elses garbage.

Great location for an early flight out of Detroit. Room was huge, plenty for our family with 3 little kids. Great breakfast spread. Parking for the week is a drive across the street so figure it out the night before for a smoother morning. Swimming pool is SMALL so don't plan on doing that if u were trying to wear ur kids out before bed.

The pipes had busted open when we stayed there. It was dedicated an inconvenience but the staff was so friendly. It was only a couple hours without water so no big deal. They were giving out complimentary water bottles. The beds were comfortable and breakfast was great.

Usually we love Springhill. We love that they have 2 excerise bike, a great heated whirlpool with strong jets, free breakfast and they just redecorated the carpet and wallpaper. We stayed one night (2-14-16). The whirlpool was warm at best. We complained, the lady said the maintiance person was off work so nothing was done. As we left the whirlpool was still broken. We called the day of our stay to make sure that the whirlpool was up and running, they said yes. Running yes heated no. The next morning we checked the temperature of the whirlpool and it was as cold as the unheated pool. We ask for a discount and the person who I talked to said that is nothing he could do. Very disappointed!

Springhill Suites at the Detroit Metro airport provided a much-needed place to stay after a delayed flight caused me to be very behind schedule. Their beds were very comfortable, and their complementary breakfast was not bad at all. Although I didn't use it, the pool was basically a big bathtub. It didn't even look large enough to swim laps in. I was somewhat disappointed in the shower as well. Water pressure was good, but the door did not seal and as a result, my bathroom floor was soaked. In spite of these weaknesses, my stay there was not at all bad and I would recommend the Springhill Suites to anybody traveling through the Detroit Metro Airport area.

The rooms we got before our flight were nice with comfortable beds. The pool is small — almost a big bathtub, but that didn't make or break our stay. The early morning breakfast was slightly better than most hotel's breakfast, but was not excellent. The hotel staff also helped us out by giving us a voucher for cheaper long term parking across the street. All in all I would recommend this hotel for people needing a stay near the airport.

Nice clean modern looking hotel. Comfortable rooms and beds. The breakfast is just adequate. In my opinion a good place to stay if you find yourself in Detroit.
