We have stayed at this hotel probably 4 or 5 times over the past several years. It is definitely not a high end facility… But it is affordable and the accommodations are very good. We were also impressed with the continental breakfast. This is a place that we would go back to again on our next trip to Rockford. Staff has always been very courteous and accommodating.

Wanted some comfort and a good night's sleep after a very long motorcycle ride. The woman behind the desk would not allow us to park our bike under the overhang (this was a week night) and our bike got soaked. Never had that happen to us even at an upscale hotel. Room felt stale and dirty. Couldn't get it cool enough to sleep comfortably. Wouldn't dare walk on the carpet without shoes on. Actually chose this hotel because it was a little more expensive so we thought we'd have a better experience. And what's the idea behind the dumb half-pillows? Is it really that much mire cost effective to only wash half a pillowcase? Won't ever stay at that location again.

I'll start by saying that I stayed here a lot of times and haven't come back mainly because one particular staff member was rude to me and my family. Manager did address this which I appreciated bit as long as she is employed there we will not return. Other then that Id say this is the best value in Rockford not fancy but clean room better than average breakfast. They have a small pool but they filled in hot tub a few years ago. Seen some sketchy guests but that's expected at the price point.

What a nice surprise! Very clean, large room. Breakfast was better than average. Coffee was much better than most hotels. Excellently value. Staff even left me a personal message requesting that I enjoy my stay + though they spelled my name wrong).

Clean large rooms. Good breakfast but eggs were barely warm. Breakfast area has little counter space so we had to search for some items and found them all. Some nice items like adjustable led night light and USB/electric plug/clock cube. Price was as promised. Would stay there again.

Room was clean and comfortable… The common areas could use a refresh and the hot bar for the breakfast was ice cold. Everyone getting the free breakfast had to microwave eggs, bacon, and sUsage.

Walked into a very spacious room and was pleasantly surprised. Included in the room was a refrigerator, microwave, ironing board with iron, hair dryer and desk. They do have free Wi-Fi as well. The beds are comfortable but hubby thinks they are a bit too soft (I disagree! ). The vanity and sink is separate from the toilet and shower but it's spacious enough to hold all my items. The shower was very hot and had a nice showerhead. The bath towels are thicker than other chain hotels but still on the small side. There were extra towels in the room already so that was a nice touch. Shampoo, conditioner, soapsoap lotion we also in the room. Again I loved the spaciousness of the room which allowed us to have room to walk around, lay out my yoga mat and store our cases out of the way. Air conditioner worked great and our room was very near the ice machine. The facility is located near enough to Rock Cut Park which allowed us to take a quick drive there and ride our bikes for a few miles around the lake, then order Gerry's Pizza (see my review on their delivery). UPDATE: We did have breakfast here because they offer eggs, sausage, bacon, and then the usual bread/cereal items! We didn't use any of the amenities so I can't review on any of those, sorry. For the room itself I was very happy with it and the desk staff was very helpful in telling us the pizza place and where the park was for riding our bikes.

Great service, good location for what I needed and close to shops and fantastic food. The rooms are a little worn and could use some newer upholstery, but that's just being picky. The ladies at the front desk are awesome.

Great place to stay, the pool is usually occupied and breakfast needs bacon added to it. That aside very friendly staff and a great location, totally recommend it.

Bed was comfy, and the pillows were soft. Person working the desk was super nice and informative. Room looked a tad dated, but its not a deal breaker. Didnt get to try breakfast, starts at 6am and had to checkout before hand. Would stay again if I visited the area again.

First and foremost, the front desk staff are rude and racist. The woman spent about five minutes explaining — in a very condescending tone-to an African American couple that the place was non-smoking even after they agreed to the rules. It was very obvious and made everyone in ear shot uncomfortable. The woman who was checking us in seemed very annoyed we we're here at all. Luckily we didn't have to deal with them much. We were in a third floor suite. Bring your binoculars, because the TV is about twenty feet away from the bed and jacuzzi, and about 32", we actually ended up unplugging everything and moving it. The bed was super soft, like my hips are on the ground soft-no support, my back is killing me. Everything smells like a hospital-i mean at least it's clean, but still, ugh. The place needs some updates for sure. But at the end of the day, it's a cheap 2 star Hotel in Rockford Illinois, and eating pizza while watching movies in the hot tub was pretty dope.

I was a guest, in the room for about 20 mins in seen a roach, OK by me living in different states and having to deal with different people I did not complain, after killing 3, I figured it's time to call downstairs, the clerk to me that the manager would be in in the morning. OK as I am leaving explain to the 3rd shift clerk how many roaches were killed, she went on to tell me that she is there every day and never had a complaint. By the way she is a family member unknowningly. So I guess we brought them from home.

We did not stay the night of the 16th of February. The women were rude due to the fact that a fishing tournament was in and most rooms were already vooked, but had rooms available according to Google maps. The front desk clerks would not honor the prices online because they could get a higher price from others in the tournament. They kept asking me degrading questions like. … do u have the right date typed in, or the right location. I said isn't this the only Baymont inn here? Yes they stated. I showed them several times in my phone the rates of all these travel sites and they still paid me no mind, the travel sites said $68, they said $119.00. Then they told me I couldn't book on the Web because they could sell them to the last few people behind me in line. I feel this is not only rude, degradation, but inappropriate for an establishment as such. Later I read the reviews… I'm not the first. We had drove 8 hrs and needed a room for one night. Please do not stay here. I can't tell you if they were clean or anything to that effect because we didn't stay at this hotel. S. Frick R. N.

Friendly staff, clean rooms, comfy beds. The rooms are a little outdated but a great hotel for an amazing price! Plus pets (max of 2) are allowed for a flat fee of $25 a night.

The smell hits you square the moment the doors open. Room was large but cheap appearance. Location is good but wow, not liking this place.

Second time here will not come again the staff is extremely uptight and judgmental. The list of rules that they have you sign is a complete fallacy. It's not a boarding house it's a hotel I can't believe that they are representing Wyndham came here with cash as I was having the normal after holiday problems with credit cards and was scolded like a child in front of my family and turned away after a long day of work. The gentleman behind the counter was disappointing the staff in front of me and another guest. Had actually filed a complaint with Wyndham corporate. If you're looking for a relaxing stay track down the street or spend the extra money somewhere else.

The stay was so comfortable and nice. My wife and I had a great nights sleep at such a good rate.

Stayed in a two queen ved standard room. The room was clean and contained a mini fridge and a microwave. The only slight negative to the room was how cramped the bathroom felt but for the price of the room it definitely isn't a deal breaker. Can't say much about the pool because I didnt use it. Public computer is a single desktop out in the open in the lobby. For breakfast when I was there they had a waffle maker, bagels, muffins, biscuits and gravy, cereal, and a few more frozen things that you could heat in the microwave. Overall for the price I was very happy with the hotel.

Regularly Terrible Experiences! For the past few months I've been traveling for work, and they often have me stay here. I will be sure to ask for a different place going forward. The staff was incredibly rude, and they charged me almost double their rate for checking out a few hours late due to a sickness. Only two floors have ice machines, and the elevator is definitely in need of some TLC. If you want a comfortable stay, look elsewhere. This place doesn't appreciate their customers, or have competent maintenance available.

I spent two nights on my way to and home from another destination. The staff were great, friendly, and helpful. The rooms were clean and the hotel was quiet. And I love that there is an indoor pool. After a long day of travel, it's the perfect end of the day to a good night's sleep.

Decent place. Kind of dated, but the staff was very charming and helpful. It was clean and there were no bed bugs. It was affordable and within our budget, so I would definitely stay here again.

Room was smelly, my wife and I got a non-smoking room and you could tell there had been smoking done in it. Also we where told one price over the phone and in our email and when we got there we were told there was no military discount on the weekend so the price went up by $30! I would not stay here again.

We only stayed for a couple nights but for the price we were charged I thought was way too high! Granted we had a free night, and thankfully we did. The room was mostly clean but the hallways could use new carpet. The breakfast was very weak! We paid for one night, and most likely won't stay again. You could do better at a cheap hotel.

Room was nice and clean. Breakfast was good. Staff was friendly and helpful. Staff went above and beyond to help us with directions.

This place has gone down hill in a hurry. The large outdoor sign is laying on the ground. They filled the spa with cement. The breakfast is terrible. Won't be back which is disappointing because we have stayed here for years.

The staff was excellent! They know what customer service is. Very friendly and helpful. I'm pretty indifferent about the room. It's pretty much what you would expect. But I would definitely choose this hotel again over any other in the area because of the positive experience with all the staff!

It was a little more on the noisy side, it seemed easier to hear outside our room than I'm accustomed to. The breakfast area is small which made it awkward to move around while others people were dining. This want helped by the eggs and sausages being precooked, wrapped in plastic wrap, and then put in the fridge. This meant I had to grab my packaged food, walk to the single microwave, heat it up, then walk to the bread and toaster area if I wanted to make it a sandwich. Again, the small area made this awkward with other people trying to do the same thing.

Decent hotel for economic price. We stayed a couple nights recently and had a good experience overall. Pros: clean beds, spotless bathrooms, nice small pool, friendly staff, good continental breakfast. Cons: older fixtures (toilet overflowed on first flush), elevator & stairwells smell of old smoke, hallway carpet looks dingy & old.

Staff was awesome room and bathroom very clean and smelled fresh. The room was very comfortable and quiet. It was a very busy weekend when we were there and it was still quiet. Pool water was warm very nice. Pool and hot tub area clean. Convenient spot, restaurants and shopping close by. Thanks Baymont — Rockford for relaxing quiet getaway!

I must say that the stay here has been great! From the time we checked in to the clean room and cozy beds, this place is a nice one. The only thing I would change is that the pool side water could be warmer but the hot tub was nice n hot. I would definitely stay again. My kids enjoy it and they would definitely like to come back.

I cannot believe how I was treated. This is a 2 star hotel. I simply asked if I could use the work out facilities at 1200 am and the front desk clerk, who needs to shave her face btw, snapped at me saying no Way I cause too much trouble she will call the cops on me … For what,? I said. She refused to talk to me. Really? Did they forget who contributed ti their salary? Bullshit… I am filing a formal complaint… Don't go there. The staff is nasty and condescending. They just messed with the wrong one…

The workers are friendly and professional. The room was clean and smelled good. The pool area was clean and its indoor. The fitness room was nice. The location of the hotel is great. You are at walking distance to places to shop and eat.

The hotel was OK, not great, but not bad. The decor was dated, and the pool had a lot of chlorine in the air, but it was clean and the staff polite. For the price, it was what we expected. I found the breakfast to be slightly above what I am used to with this kind of hotel.

Nice large room which was excellent for traveling with our dog. Room was clean and location was perfect for traveling to visit family.

It was a single night stay but everything from the clerk who checked me I to the TV in the room were fantastic. It even came with a nice clean microwave and fridge unlike a lot of the hotels in the area. I would definitely stay there.

My husband ask nicely tonight if they have vacancy the second door was lock and the women that is in this time duty at 1 am answer my husband in a very RUDE way I hope the wyndam give an action if you guys want a goid bussiness.

Stayed here for 4 nights and it was a great place to stay. The staff were very friendly and the room and hallways were kept clean. Staff was beyond friendly, they were always asking if we needed anything and housekeeping was great, we often were there when they asked about cleaning but they politely said they'd come back later. The bed was comfortable. Unfortunately we didn't get a chance to go swimming but the pool looked clean. We were on the 3rd floor and for the most part it was nice and quiet. We'd definitely stay here again if ever necessary.

Secured stay for my wife while passing thru. They treated her well and the room was great. She only said good things about it. She's a tough critic but sensible too.

If you book online and you're going to stay at two seperate times be VERY CAREFUL that you don't get downgraded. I stayed 3 days with 1 day in a different city when I checked on for my 2 day stay I got a completely different room. The front desk person told me there was NOTHING she could do. No microwave, smaller bed and very noisey. Not good when you get in at 3 am in the morning and you ask for a room away from the noise. Not good p. R.

You can do better for the money.
