We always TRY to stay at Comfort Suites but so many are not pet friendly or all their pet friendly rooms are filled.

Stay if your gonna stay for all the amenities otherwise find somewhere cheaper. I was staying just to sleep and get up early. I asked about breakfast because $102 should get you something. The time did not work out but I was told I could get a sack breakfast of muffin n fruit to go. Got up and was told no sack’s on the weekend. Ok thanks for $102 I get to go buy a breakfast. I will not stay again as I travel thru.

Comfortable & nice — everything you need! Suites are spacious enough for 5 adults and a dog! Good breakfast & dog friendly — the staff are friendly and helpful! We were there with 2 respectful well-behaved basketball teams. Good experience!

We stayed here on our way to our daughters PIR from the Navy. We stayed in a handicap room… it was nice and clean and oh so great. I'm always picky when it comes to hotel rooms for handicap cause not everyone is actually handicap friendly. Def recommend especially to handicap people.

We stay at Comfort Suites whenever we travel. They are always clean and well kept. We appreciate the breakfast in the morning so we can start on our way the following day. The staffs are always very friendly and helpful.

I wish I could somehow get the word out to only stay here. This hotel was amazing. The breakfast-fabulous. The pool is awesome too and the sauna. I'll make this a destination in the future.

Excellent place to stay. We only stayed one night but the staff was welcoming, the room was clean and updated, the bed was comfortable, and breakfast was good. I highly recommend!

It was a great stay! All of the employees were extremely friendly and welcoming! The room was so clean to, cleaner than any others I've stayed in. The front desk has sonenof the best cookies to yumm!

Get an odd number if you're on the ground floor. Truck noise. The room and service were great.

What is there not to like about a wonderful clean room with the best beds and pillows anywhere? Plus they allowed our two dogs (family members) for a modest extra fee. We have always enjoyed our stays at Comfort Suites and Effingham did not let us down. We were placed in a room of our choice, near the stairs, so we could take our dogs out without having to use the elevator. When we forgot an item it was sent to us quickly and in good shape. The staff is accommodating and very friendly. Parking was plentiful and easy to navigate. The pool and workout areas were very well maintained. We enjoyed the breakfast and the snack center where we could get a small meal without having to go out into town. Thank you Comfort Suites, we remain a loyal customer.

Hotel is great only stayed one night I had my dog with me and everything went smooth clean Hotel good area I would recommend it.

This was a very nice hotel. The bed was very comfortable and the room clean. Breakfast was standard, but there was something for everyone. I would stay here again if visiting the Effingham area in the future.

This is a very nice hotel. I had a King Suite. The only thing I would do differently is get a room on the west side, the trains and trucks will be quieter.

Great place to stay. One of the better hotel experiences I've had. Newly renovated rooms, all suites, pool, laundry and free breakfast. Staff is always nice and friendly. Will stay again.

It was amazing, typically I stay in my room at the hotel, but this time I spent a lot of time in the dining area. The front dest clerk was helpful and kind, going above and beyond what I expected. I wish I had caught her name so she could receive proper praise.

Clean, comfortable, friendly desk staff, awesome free breakfast. There was Belgian waffles, eggs, bacon, gravy, yogurt, fruit and more. Home away from home.

Rooms were great, very nice and clean. Towels were of good quality. Price was the best part! Staff had the room keys ready and made it quick and easy to check in with over 30 people at once. Walls maybe a little thin when the folks next door got up early to leave.

We stayed 2 nights over vacation. The location was pretty great & the staff was friendly. The rooms had been newly renovated. The bathing area of the room we had was split in half with the toilet, bath/shower in a small closed off room & the vanity was in the room where we slept. The usuall in room amenities were there. There was an indoor pool that was well heated. Breakfast was okay as far as free breakfast goes… All the hot food was from freezer/can except for the waffles you make yourself. There were 2 kinds of dry cereal, 2 kinds of milk, white & wheat bread for toast, begals, mini muffins & a small assortment of Danish. There was also fresh fruit, orange & apple juice.

Very nice! The rooms are so big! Love the decor. We had a king suite and they have some nice options. Nice bathroom, I didn't have to go ask for more towels! Great a/c. The bed was awesome! Good breakfast, too! I didn't interact with the staff. Would definetely recommend this hotel. We would stay here again.

Kind and friendly customer service. Very clean rooms with plenty of space. Smells clean too especially with being a pet friendly establishment! Some parking seems to be shared by neighboring businesses, yet still has plenty of lit parking. I highly recommend this place! They seem to want to take care of their Choice Hotel members.

The woman at the front desk was wonderfully helpful. She answered a quick fire of questions for me (I was moving across country with a 26 ft truck and trailer towing a car, 2 cats, and was looking for vacancy with less than an hour's notice) and was incredibly nice and helpful with a smile in her voice. When I got there she signed me up for the rewards which turned out to be very helpful because I stayed at a Choice Hotel the next night too. I can't brag on her enough, she was just wonderful letting us know where everything was, which was handy because I did need to use the provided washer/dryer that evening (cats, man). I loved the iced lemon water that was out in the lobby too — very nice touch! I would definitely stay there again if I needed to.

I've been traveling South down I 57 for work and been staying at the Choice Hotels and am extremely pleased with the Comfort Suites. The Sleep Inn in Decatur was very disappointing. But every Comfort Suites has proven themselves. Second time here in Effingham and it's even better than my last stay 3 months ago! Well done…

Very clean hotel moderately priced. Service is outstanding. Seems to be a safe area. Back parking lot has no lighting, though. My son loved the pool area. DON'T park in parking lot of the restaurant. They are strict about towing… hotel parking is not exactly ample because they are remodelling and a lot of the parking area is taken up by storage and contractors. Overall pretty good for the money.

We stayed at the Comfort Suite in Effingham, IL for two nights. The staff was very accommodating and polite. The room was neat. The free breakfast was tasty, fresh eggs, waffles, fruit, and more. Overall we scored it 4 out of 5 due to the ongoing construction.

It was located in a good area with lots of shops around. There was no fan in the restroom leading to muggy rooms. The air unit was also not working up to par also contributing to the mugginess of the room. The staff were helpful and did a good job overall.

This location was in Effingham, IL. We stayed in a very comfortable 2 queen-sized bed suite. The service was great. We weren't there very long, so we didn't use most of the amenities. The building is being remodeled, which didn't affect our stay. Actually, I appreciate when companies take care of their properties to make them look nice & appealing.

We had zero problems. Room was clean which is my number one priority. Room was spacious and staff was polite.

Everything was great; the pool and room. Then when our family was going to bed there was a flea or tick in our bed. Fantastic for our family trip. Staff allowed us to move to another room but disappointed no discounts were offered due to the inconvenience.

Very much enjoyed our stay here for a conference in town. Clean, large rooms easily housed four comfortably. Will definitely return here the next time.

DO NOT STAY HERE! The rooms are filthy, the carpet is stained and gross, there is mold around the bathtub. They use a very strong "fragrance" to overcome the stench. The a/c unit blowed musty-smelling air and froze up overnight. Overall, just rundown and filthy. Go somewhere else. Seriously.

We stayed there this past weekend and had a terrible time, some of the staff were priceless, but the front desk people had no personality what so ever. There was so much noise from the rooms next to ours, above us people were running and thumping, Friday we got no sleep at all from all the noise we were so exhausted Saturday we had to cancel our plans. We will not be sending any friends to this hotel and we will not be staying there again, we will find other accommodations in that area. I think we should get a refund for the entire weekend we stayed there!

Love this hotel, stop every year on the way home. Friendly, helpful staff, great rooms, comfy beds and they allow pets too.
