Do not book this hotel for a room block. They were completely disorganized and incompetent. Many of our guests arrived to our wedding frustrated and inconvenienced. A few examples:
My friend had booked her room for two nights. Despite providing a confirmation number and email of proof the receptionist insisted that she only booked one night and would need to find another place to stay the night of my wedding. Mind you, this was one of my bridesmaids. Eventually they realized there were two people with the same last name and they had misread the information.
The hotel had a list of over 35 rooms booked for my wedding. They knew we had a shuttle leaving at a specific time so our guests would arrive on time for our ceremony. It took over an hour for some of guests to check in and they were not able to get ready at the hotel for our wedding. One receptionist in particular was not able to find people’s names or rooms! How? Who knows. Especially since they had months warning in advance for this day.
Another friend had been told the only room left was with a jacuzzi and paid extra for this room in our room block. Upon arrival at the hotel her room was just a normal room with no jacuzzi.
My family had booked several rooms under one name. When we attempted to change the name to individual people’s names for when they checked in, the same receptionist changed all the rooms to one guest’s name. I’m not sure how they are that stupid.

Woman at the desk through a phone at my sister when we found out housekeeping came in our room without permission and started yelling at us because we were complaining I'm very appalled at this.

Shout out to JoAnn at the front desk is a absolute doll. Another woman that works there I'm so sorry I can't remember her name she's a doll too. Great hospitality! the little blonde lady in the AM doesn't have any hospitality probably change that one out. Great rooms great food great time. Come around 3pm anytime after that your going to get great people and a great time. again JoAnn deserves a raise for her hospitality seriously.

Very clean hotel, staff is very nice and helpful. Food is good. Pool area is nice just needs to be cleaned.

We are very well pleased with our stay here so far, everything looks and feels fresh and clean throughout the hotel and our room. The shower is very clean with a nice little bench inside the stall and the bed was very clean. Loved the free breakfast they even have something that makes fresh pancakes on the spot. The coffee could have been better but everything else is awesome! We're excited to try the heated pool and whirlpool later!

Clean, quiet rooms. Super soft sheets. Delicious complimentary cookies in the evening. Delicious warm cinnamon muffins at the complementary breakfast in the morning. Nice pool and whirlpool. Close to Starved Rock.

Nice little hotel, front desk staff was great, concerns were addressed, pool was small but satisfying, bed slept pretty nice. Would definitely stay here again.

The hotel is adequate, easy to access from I-80, and clean and comfortable. I've stayed here several times before, and it's located across the street from a small shopping center with a Starbucks and a Walmart in case you forget anything when you travel. The only complaints I have are that the treadmill has been in need of repair for a couple years now, and the breakfast selection could use some healthy options.

Seems like it’s right on the edge of going bad. Mattress was about done, overall room cleanliness was just ok, bathroom cleanliness was poor, shower. Pool area could use a good cleaning too. Breakfast was good, girl doing the breakfast was very nice. Staff was friendly. My guess is either housekeeping and maintenance is understaffed, not trained, or just doesn’t care. Several other hotels at the exit, I’ll try another when I’m back in a couple weeks.

I didn't get the kind of room I requested but they went out of their way to do me right. The problem might actually have been with their reservation line, where the guy taking my reservation tried his best to steer me. Maybe that was more important to him than passing my room request along.

Very helpful, got us a crib for baby, great breakfast, very clean.

Great pool and Hot tub. I frequently stay here just to get away from the kids. Quite and peaceful.

They charge you all your stay when you arrive.

Rooms were nice. The hostess was great too. The pool is used for swim lessons and the guy who teaches the lessons let's his dog loose in there. Wasn't a big fan of that.

Love this place. We make it our go-to when passing through. Rooms are spacious, pool and hot tub are fine, good breakfast, and staff is accommodating.

The bed I had was pretty bad, in the time I could not fall asleep I made a joke about it. So here it is: Fred flintstone: ahh that was a nice bed we had last night. Wilma flintstone: Really?!?! I thought the bed was rock hard. Fred flintstone: Ya, I got chronic back pain from it. But everything else was good. Though I did not go into the pool.

Stayed here for a night after several hours of driving. The hotel was very clean, the room was very clean, the bed was comfortable. The water pressure in the shower was amazing! They have a gym, business center, a pool, pantry with things for purchase, free breakfast. The hotel was quiet while I was there. The staff was very nice. Would stay again if ever passing through.

We really enjoyed our stay. Clean, friendly and accommodating staff, enjoyable breakfast, great pool/jacuzzi. Great location, close to restaurants. We liked the fall decorations, too. We'll be staying again when we visit Peru in the future.

Beautiful rooms and comfortable bed. Tv options didnt work that well. A couple times I had to adjust the cable to fix it. Other than that superb.

The desk attendant was amazing! Jake had a huge line of people and queue of phone calls when we checked in, and handled everything swiftly and professionally. The room was nice (two firmnesses of pillows on the bed! ), but the luggage carts were very hard to maneuver. Swimming pool was warm but underwhelming, and the hot tub wasn't all that hot either. The windows in the pool room were right along the street which was uncomfortably un-private. I also found a lot of grass and a dead beetle in the pool room, mysteriously. The tap water tasted disgusting but I don't think that was the hotel's fault because it was nasty in the businesses across the street too. There was a keurig in the room with some complimentary coffee, as well as a fridge and microwave which are always nice to have. The toiletries had a very strong fragrance. It was an inoffensive scent but something to keep in mind if you have fume or skin sensitivities. Breakfast was very good! Lots of options and the employee taking care of the dining room kept the food fresh and hot on the buffet. Overall the building was not great, but the staff and service was wonderful.

The rooms were underwhelming for the price, and the swimming pool and hot tub were very overchlorinated. At our check in time which was around 9pm, many people were checking in at once and the one (1) employee working the entire hotel on a weekend evening in summer (! ) was very overwhelmed by check ins, phone calls, and guests needs. Breakfast, however, was very good, with a wide selection of good food.

Nice large room. Great breakfast selection. Decent staff. Comforter had a huge urine stain and housekeeping kept reusing our old sheets, even after we asked them not too.

Room 330. Was Amazing. Hot tub for 2 in bedroom was a complete surprise. Pool was nice temperature but very cloudy. Breakfast was nice and lots of great choices. Wonderful place to stay!

Terrible experience. I've always had nothing but positive things to say about Holiday Inn Express locations, but this stay was awful. I was sent to occupied rooms twice in a row, given very slow and unresponsive service, and never received my bill / receipt. The only positive thing I can say is that the people I dealt with were all polite and genuinely thought they were doing the right thing. Maybe just a one-off bad experience? Let's hope so.

Not the best quality, but not dirty. Rooms weren't as clean as they could be. Rooms have a lot of noise. But, the hotel is decent location, staff was friendly, prompt. Breakfast was good.

I wasn't a customer. I was dropped off by state police after a highway accident. Lobby staff were very gracious and allowed us to collect ourselves, wait for a cab and even use the restroom.

I always stay here when traveling to and from Michigan. It is very clean, I get a top notch suite and the hot tub is huge. The breakfast is excellent and the staff is very friendly. There is a great restaurant just across the road called Cabin Fever that is excellent. Super happy staying here.

People were incredibly friendly, bed was very soft and comfortable, room was clean, shower was hot and breakfast hit the spot. Great experience.

Great Holiday Inn Express. Staff is very friendly. Hotel is relatively new and has nice furniture as well as lamps with electrical outlets in them, so you can easily find beside plugs.
