This hotel is in the heart of Downtown Indianapolis. I stayed here with my sister and three kids. The room was enough for us to hang and sleep comfortable. I had small kid size air bed for infant. They have a parking structure that is free with stay. They are within walking distance if the downtown area and offer a great continental breakfast. The elevator is small but doable. Great location for friends to stay they have outoodr seating and a nice sized lobby. They also offer coffee, tea, and water all day in lobby.

This place was such a great find! It was in a perfect location. We could walk to the Theater and the center of town where all the food and entertainment was. The room was nice for the cost with a fridge, microwave, and coffee maker, which are amenities that are not given in more expensive hotels. The on-site parking was super convenient. But was the absolute best was the customer service! Both Erin and Melinda were amazing. Erin welcomed us in and got us settled for our one stay while Melinda welcomed us back after our night on the town. It was definitely a place I’ll come back to, if I come to I Indianapolis in the future!

Conveniently located close to Banker's Life fieldhouse with parking on site. Easy walk to downtown. Staff was friendly and courteous.

The entire place was comfortable. We enjoyed the patio in the evening and the lobby for watching baseball. Breakfast was neat, hot and orderly. The staff were very polite. The walk to downtown was short.

We ended up having an extra person join us in our hotel room for a 3 day conference and so I took the sleeping bag on the floor. Came back tonight for our last night and they had put a rollaway bed in the room without us having even asked (must have seen the sleeping bag on the floor) … now that's great customer service!

The hotel seemed nice form the extior and the lobby, however once we got to our floor it was aparent that the hotel was filthy. There were sitcky and mysterious spots on the carpet in the hallways and rooms, and vomit on the side of a bed cover. Soon we found out that the elevator was unconventional, we pressed the button for the first floor and it took us to the third not to mention the elevator was very small; only fitting two or three people. To our disappointment there was no pool contrary to what was advertised.

I was not a guest but visited a friend that was staying there. Front desk staff was super friendly. The elevator was extremely tiny and the rooms we just ok. I wasn't impressed with the rooms honestly.

Place is a complete dump. It's literally falling apart. The toilet doesn't work the sink doesn't drain they won't fix it because they don't have maintenance. The lobby bathroom is also broken. They've been doing renovations for over a year. I know this because it was this exact same way last year except now there's a new coat of paint on the building. This place is the worst you can do in downtown Indianapolis.

The staff was great the breakfast not so good. At 3 am I was woken up by what seemed to be a headrd of drunk buffalo running through the hallways. Other than that okay…

Simple hotel at a reasonable price. Downtown within 10 min walking distance.

Very nice and polite staff. The hotel and rooms need some upkeep but they are clean and tidy. The breakfast is very good. My only complaint is the creepy elevator!

Parking sucks. Got there and the lot is small, one way, and difficult to navigate. There were no spots so I walked in and the guy said I could park next door. Fine. I move my car. I go to check in and he says you need a pass to park next door and they need the license plate. So, I go back to the car to get that info. And once I get the pass, I go back to the car to put the pass in the car. Stupid system. Elevator is small and clunky. This place is barely a 2 star.

The rooms are serviceable at best. The place is under renovation and according to their reviews it has been for a year at least. The building is old but they have updated it quite a bit. Our room was clean, the bed was nice but our room was small. We each had one small suitcase and I had a book bag, we put them over by the window and it seemed to eat up half the space in the room. Then the toilet kept running, or it would fill up and randomly drain. Tried to fix it, called the front desk they said about 30 minutes, and I never saw a repair person before I checked out. All in all, it's not bad for a no frills room if you're just looking for a place to sleep, shower, etc etc if you want plush or the bells and whistles this is not the hotel for you.

So my S/O and I are traveling cross country and had made a reservation at this particular La Quinta location. During our journey we not only got caught in a snow storm, but got caught in a two hour delay due to a semi truck that flipped over and started leaking fuel AND to top it off, during that time waiting for the semi wreck situation to get resolved, my S/O suddenly needed urgent medical attention at the hospital. I figured that considering the countless hours of unforseen delays, the hotel was going to have issues with our late check in and check out times likely leaving us with only a measly 3 or 4 hours to actually sleep after driving for over 10 hours straight only to jump back on the road immediately after. So after a nightmarish day of travel, I called and spoke with the ever so caring Tish at the front desk to inform her of these delays. She was extremely kind, attentive, and sympathetic to our long and difficult journey. Shortly after our initial conversation, I received an incoming call from Tish who informed us that she was able to adjust our reservation at no additional charge which allowed us to actually spend a full day to rest and recoup before getting back on the road versus the 3-4 hours of hotel time/sleep we had originally anticipated receiving because of our late check in due to all the delays.

Front desk staff was very helpful. Breakfast was average. Rooms were clean but definitely older. Overall decent stay.

Great location for the value. There were a few minor issues with my experience. First, the room smelled of mildew and the windows are not sealed which allows moisture to develop on the window. Second, the ice machine did not work which may be a non issue for people. Very close to downtown and had a limited breakfast with one hot item. Overall satisfied with my stay!

There was a lot of construction going on when I was there, which is understandable, but it did influence my perception. The room was clean, but dated. The staff were friendly. The parking was very tight and limited.

Helpful staff, clean nice room at a reasonable price. Parking lot inadequate for the amount of rooms. Located right near downtown. Decent experience.

Clean and very quiet. Decent sized rooms. Free coffee and breakfast in the morning. Only complaint is there's no signage and building is easily missed from the street. Also, while I was there only one elevator was usable, the rest we're out of order. But great place to go if you like clean and quiet.

Don't leave your tablet behind at this location. They won't send it to you unless you pay for shipping (not a big deal) and file a police report after they lie and say they sent it but don't. They say they gave it to shipper and it's off their hands. Amazing how once you call corporate and police involved it miraculously ends up still at the hotel and shipped the very next day! Otherwise it served its purpose. Mediocre cheap place to crash near city center.

The lobby was nice, but the rooms seemed like they had attempted to update them using the cheapest contractor they could find. Not quality work at all. There is very limited parking at the main building and if your car is larger than a Geo metro, it will be hard to maneuver around the garage. There is a secondary garage less than a block away. The hotel staff were nice. Would not stay there again.

Great location! Very easy to walk to most everything downtown. They are under construction so it doesn't look like the Ritz at the moment. Parking is limited. Vending machines broken and empty on some floors. Besides that overall a good place to stay for price and location! Staff was friendly.

They are currently remodeling the outside of the building so it was hard to find without the signage. Other than that the hotel was decent. Very close to everything downtown. Rooms were adequate and rooms were quiet enough. I would also caution that the parking lot is fairly small. We were able to get a space, but I imagine there's a lot fewer spaces than rooms so depending on how full the hotel is you might have to find another parking structure and walk your bags over. Of course there are nicer places in downtown Indy, but they are a lot more expensive. For the money, this is a great deal.

Kind staff and clean, modestly updated rooms. Hotel-style breakfasts available in the morning. Downtown easily accessible on foot or by vehicle. Parking is tight and limited, although we did not have an issue finding a spot during our stay. Access to major road network, particularly heading south, was good (i. E. The location did not add to the commute).

Close enough to walk to downtown attractions but we did get an uber twice… however it was only $5. Convenient FREE PARKING! The first room we had the bathroom vent fan didn't work and the ac fan wouldn't stay on. However when I called down to the desk at 330 am the gentleman was very nice and upgraded us to a suite for no additional charge. Breakfast was good. We would definitely stay there again. Nothing overly fancy obviously but for what we needed: cheap, clean, safe place to rest our heads… it was great.

The rooms are decent and fairly clean. The beds are a little on the firmer side. It's a good location if you don't want to rent a car since it is within walking distance of most of the stuff down town. It's very affordable.

Small rooms. The walls were peeling and/or moldy in the room (325). Had a distinct smell. TV had only local channels plus like 3 cable (dont know how thats possible). Carpet was dirty. Overall terrible experience. Not worth the price at aaaaall. ($179+tax a night).

The parking was not the best and we had to park away from the hotel. The elevator was very small and had to take multiple trips. Our fridge had melted ice cream in it.

Pretty good — comfortable pleasant room, good breakfast, close to downtown. Elevator is really old and small and the stairs smelled funny. Limited covered parking available.

Not super impressed. The front desk is friendly, but the room and bathroom was very small and could have been cleaner (found a pantiliner cover behind the chair :/). Parking was not good. The air conditioner kept us up all night and the heliport, ugh. Spending our next night in Indy at The Westin. Spend a little more, you'll be glad you did.

Everything was amazing. Staff was friendly. Only a 10 minute walk to downtown. There was some construction near the entrance, making it difficult to walk there from specific sides of the street. The towels were uncomfortable, not that big a deal though.

When I arrived, about 11p, the front desk guy wasn't around. I waited, but then had to call him! He eventually came over from the bar where he'd been hanging with friends. My room was quite large, albeit sparsely furnished. A couple things needed repair, and it was pretty dated, but it was generally clean. Found 6 outlets by the desk, but none worked! The others in the room were blocked by the bed. I guess I'd come back if I wanted something cheap downtown, and everything else was booked, but not likely.

The desk clerk was completely awesome but the hotel itself leaves a lot to be desired. The air conditioner didn't work properly and the fridge didn't work. The bathroom was smaller than your average closet and the room smelled terrible. Parking situation was horrible as well with a Ram 2500 truck! Also if you are freaked out by tight places don't get in the elevator!

Staff smoking by only entrance. Floor full of noxious painting fumes. Phone was unplugged at wall (broken clip so it didnt stay in). Breakfast had no healthy options. Bathroom all wet upon arrival. Otherwise room was very clean. Large hole in wall near toilet. Access panel opened and would not close properly. Weird bathroom layout. Shower tub unusually narrow, had to stand with feet together. Seemed unstable/dangerous for anyone older. Bathroom motion sensor light switch installed outside bathroom. Adjacent to Indianapolis heliport. Helicopter traffic woke me up frequently during the night. Parking lot layout and markings incomprehensible for many. + Very friendly and apologetic staff. + Bed was comfortable.

We originally booked a king size room, got there only to find that the television was on the fritz. It was Circle City Classic weekend, so the only other room they could move us to was a double. And by double, they meant "two twin beds. " So here we are, my boyfriend and I, sleeping like the doggone Honeymooners. Add to that an elevator out of American Horror Story… On top of all of that, the guy at the front desk double-billed my boyfriend for the room, lied about it, then said he "couldn't do anything about it" when he finally admitted he screwed up. The other manager was very accommodating and apologetic, and removed the extra charges from his account. The room was reasonably clean, and they acted quickly when we complained about the noise level of the people next door. But we won't ever stay there again.

Average LaQuinta except what makes it great is it has complimentary breakfast, coffee all day, exercise room and it's SO close to downtown. It is literally minutes to lots of restaurants. We got a room with a refrigerator and microwave at a decent price. There is lots of parking, a small lot under the motel or you could ask for a permit and park directly behind the hotel. They accept dogs and do not charge which is one of the main reasons we stayed here, location was a huge plus! I'd recommend this Laquinta and would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Great place to stay, a little dated as far as decor with a few blemishes but very comfortable beds and pillows! The breakfast was actually delicious (typical hotel food) and the staff was always very friendly/helpful. About 8mins walk from Circle centre/downtown so very convenient. Parking was always available for my mid week stay. You can hear outside noises so if you're a light sleeper bring a fan/speaker for a white noise app and you'll be set. There are blue Indy cars and bikes for rent on the way to downtown. For the price you are getting a deal to be so close to downtown. Will stay again.

Great location. Walk to everything in downtown Indy. Excellent price. Very friendly and helpful front desk staff. Updated/remodeled lobby and rooms. Stayed 2 nights on a Friday and Saturday and it was a wonderful experience. We would definitely stay here again!

Good location in within walking distance to the monument circle, which is the most center of downtown area yet without paying the premium price. My Husband, Father, and I stayed in a Double Bed room for the MotoGP. The hotel is not luxurious and needs major updates. The elevator is seriously small, Rooms were Musty and cramped but beds were comfortable. The staff was the BEST part of the hotel, they were pleasant and always attentive. Micheal at the Front Desk always had a smile on his face! The Free Breakfast always ran out of eggs and fruit, and didn't stay out till 10 am. It is safe and great walking distance from Downtown restaurants.

He told me the direction to the nearest bus stop, the next morning I was surprised to find a printed direction slipped under my door.

+Very dirty rooms smells bad sheets dirty and stain sheets even my pillow had nasty golden ring on I would never go back this hotel. Makes the trip to Indianapolis seem like a very dirty place to be. Thanks for nothing.

UPDATED REVIEW to MINUS ONE STAR (if possible) from TWO STARS BEWARE! What a rip off! Once we received our credit card statement there was a $250 charge for "cleaning vomit". According to the manager, it was "all over" but they have no pictures, nothing to prove it. It's the first time in my life we had an experience like this (and we have traveled a lot! ). We stayed a week there. Do you think that is reasonable to think that the morning we left we "vomited all over"?. I definitively don't recommend this hotel to anybody. The staff is as mean as the crumbling structure of this hotel. — — — — — — Rooms are in the small side but clean. The building has been updated to keep the business running but the structure of the hotel is old. Some of the updates are falling and showing these problems. Our room had a funny smell. The toilet leaked and did not stop running. The breakfast area was quite small for the crowd. Service was kind, attentive. It's a good value but I'm dubious to book it again.

The hotel is dated, but the staff is AWESOME! Cost less than half of some of the newer hotels, but is still in walking distance of downtown. The hotel also has a deal with a cab service for an affordable ride to the airport and around downtown. You also get breakfast.

Great staff, mediocre hotel.

I stayed here briefly during my stay downtown in Indianapolis, IN and although there were some drawbacks, there are some significant benefits to staying in this hotel. First, the drawbacks: Large cars beware: It is a bit of a squeeze to park in the lot provided! The hotel room was rather basic-looking and the computer/work desk was too high to sit at comfortably. The chair provided adjusted upwards but was not able to get high enough to be able to use the table. The elevator looks like it was installed in the 50s and maintained ever since. It also smells of old oil and polish. No laundry service was available during my stay. The network connection quality varied, with disconnections and lag randomly occurring. Wi-fi only, no wired connections available. Now, onto the good stuff: The TV was — very — responsive and changed channels quickly. Typically, most TVs have a 2-10 second delay before sound and picture shows up while changing channels, however the TV that was provided in my room was fast. I was really impressed by this. The shower's controls had 2 settings: One for temperature, the other for pressure. This setup is absolutely fantastic and gets around having to play with the handle in order to get the temperature just right before hopping in for a daily rinse. I want one of these for when I renovate my own shower! The location of this hotel to the Cultural Trail is very convenient and I would recommend anyone that comes through Indianapolis to check it out!
