Room was clean. The staff was available when needed, and friendly without appearing fake. The continental breakfast was very very good, even though the pancake machine was broken. The swimming pool is kept clean, with clean towels in the towel racks at all times. Each room has a Keurig coffee / tea machine. I'm not sure if each room has a Jacuzzi bathtub, but minded which was very nice. The beds are very comfy pillow top mattresses with six pillows per bed. Large flat screen television. A very good size refrigerator, and microwave… Both which appeared to be fairly new… The carpet was clean, I was able to walk on it with white socks on and still be white after a couple of hours of walking back and forth on it. I was able to book the room for $67.10 from a Hotwire which was an extremely good deal, so if you are going to just pay directly to the hotel it will be between $120 — $150… You use a online mediator to locate and purchase your room through.

We chose this hotel because they offered the Family Fun Package which was tickets to the Children's Museum and the zoo. We were emailed the confirmations, but once we were here we found out they had NO tickets for us, but we're going to give us a discount on our room, which at this time doesn't look like it will make up the difference for us buying the tickets. If I was buying the tickets myself, I would have chosen a different hotel. It turns out we are not in a nice neighborhood, and the hotel leaves A LOT to be desired. The hotel is old, the rooms and beds are small, the breakfast is one of the smallest I've seen at a Holiday Inn Express, and I've stayed at quite a few throughout the US. This is the first night so I'll write more later.

We chose this hotel because of them offering the family fun package, included in that is the tickets to the zoo and children’s museum. The stay was not positive, bed was in unuseable shape and my pregnant wife couldn’t sleep. Breakfast was a nightmare as the one person staff couldn’t keep food out quick enough for the guests. But the reason I’m giving this experience 4 stars is GM Reid McDaniel. I called him the next day and he was overly understanding and pleasant about our experience and made sure to do his due diligence in his power to correct what we went through. I came away impressed with his leadership and management of this Holiday Inn. I will come back if Reid is still the GM.

This was not a good experience. I am on tour. I stay in hotels all the time. I have stayed in many Holiday Inn Express before and have had a good experience in the past. I decided to stay here. I stayed at the hotel for 3 weeks. First night, there was a mouse in my room. I changed my room that night. When I got to the new room, the bathroom was like a sauna and the bathtub faucet had a stream of hot water coming from it. I closed the door so it wouldn't keep me up all night with the dripping faucet. The next day I requested maintenance to come take care of the water problem. When I got home from work, it had stopped. The next day, I took my shower and the water started dripping again. It was more than a drip. It was always a small stream, of hot water. Plus, the faucet handle was installed the wrong way. Instead of cold to hot, this went hot to cold. I requested the dripping be fixed 3 days straight and each time, the same thing. When I would take my shower, it would continue dripping after. I gave up asking and just left my door closed each night. But what a waste of energy cause of all the hot water. My guess would be that about 3-4 bathtubs would be filled each night if allowed to. That's how much was dripping. The bigger problem was getting my room serviced. Due to the mouse in my first room, I said I did not need my sheets or towels to be changed each day, I just wanted my trash to be removed so I wouldn't run the risk of seeing more mice.

After calling ahead to assure room availability, I went to the desk with cash in hand and was told I needed to give an additional 200.00 for a security deposit. What kind of BS is this? So I pull a credit card out to cover the deposit and they told me they could not take mixed methods of payment. Now I've missed dinner with my coworkers. Needless to say, I did not stay there. The king suite at the FAIRFIELD is spectacular! After explaining to them what had just happened to me, they were and absolute delight. They even bought me a pizza dinner for enduring the fiasco I had just been through. Go FAIRFIELD INN! I'll be back.

To say we had 2 BB teams the service was excellent bcuz having that many boys in an hotel can present challenges. When we needed service such as additional towels & other things it was there immediately. When we needed more time before checkout it was already granted before asking due to the front desk thinking ahead. Thanks for such great service.

My family recently stayed at the Holiday Inn Express Indianapolis South on March 27, 2018. Actually, I would not consider it a stay, as we checked out after just a couple hours after arriving. I planned a mini spring break getaway for my children and this establishment completely ruined our trip. I booked at this specific location because it was affiliated with the Children's Museum and Zoo, a bundle deal for a night's stay and tickets to both atrrattions. It seemed like a great deal, and now I know why. Upon check in, a delivery man addressed the front desk staff. He handed them a bullet, a very large one, probably a. 45, which he said he found right outside the entrance. I was very concerned about our safety at that point. Then we got in our room and my concern for safety increased. The room was disgusting. There was dust and dirt in every corner of the room. The carpet was ripping at the bathroom threshold. My son walked where it was tearing up and poked his foot on something sharp. The ceiling was dirty and decaying. The room also had a stale, smoke-like smell to it. My children (they are 2 and 4) were eager to swim, as we had just traveled from Illinois. We went to the pool and it was just as disgusting. The ceiling was littered with large water spots and decay. The hot tub was out of order. The pool water was cloudy. The swimming pool area was cold. The towels had hair on them.

Hotel was dirty and our room had ants everywhere. Pool was warm but needed cleaning. Hotel needs updates. Staff were pleasant, but we did not stay due to these issues. Will never book there again.

I am not one to complain, but I can’t think of any positives really of our stay. We arrived roughly 45 minutes before check-in (3 pm) in hopes our room would be ready because we had two kiddos ready to go swimming. It was not ready, which we understood and left to grab some food. We came back at 3:45 and our room was still not clean. We were clearly upset and the general manager went and personally finished cleaning our room himself, which we appreciated. The hot tub was closed, there was no water in the vending machines, our room phone did not work and some type of alarm went off multiple times early in the morning and woke our children up. We will never ever stay here again and do not recommend it to anyone.

Friendly, and helpful staff. The room was clean and fresh. Breakfast was great and plentiful, even though the place was extremely busy. I was pleased and satisfied with my experience. I would definitely go back!

Would only stay here if it was the only reasonable priced option again. The HIE downtown is much nicer. Overall the rooms were decent but could use an update. Bed wasn't the most comfortable. Heater worked but had a smell. Ran out of coffee at 830 in the middle of breakfast and the person was on their phone in the back. Ended up fixing the printer in the business center myself since I used to work in IT (wasn't configured correctly).

Hotel is old. The room was not fresh and there was some garbage in the trash bin. No soap / shampoo, had to go to the front desk in the middle of the night. The lock on the bathroom door was not working. And they forgot to leave our receipt under the door — the only thing I like holiday Inn express for. For such price they should have done better.

Very Disappointed. I acquired a 2 night stay at this hotel through Hotwire. The front desk asked me for my debit card for incidentals at check in, where they informed me I would see a charge but it would drop off again in a few days. I did not charge anything to the room or break anything in which incidentals would have occurred but they charged my card the equivalent of a third night's stay. The hotel did not inform me they were charging me for an incident either. When I called to ask what the charge was for they had no answer, but said they will have the general manager call me. I have called 5 times and this is 3 weeks later; it is clear they have no intentions to respond. I will report this hotel to the Better Business Bureau.

This isn't a four star spot, it's a little rough around the edges. But it was a perfect 3 star experience. Great price. Everything was good enough. I liked having microwave and fridge in room. Bed was nice. Everyone I talked to was nice.

Great location close to interstate. Nice buffet. Great water pressure and temperature controls. Will plan to stop here again.

Nice place to stay and the staff were very friendly and attentive. They do have a swimming pool and serve breakfast every morning. Our room was clean and adequate as well as the Hotel. It is conveniently located to tons of shopping and places to dine.

This was a clean hotel with friendly, competent staff. The price was reasonable. No one attempted to harm us while staying there. Overall, a satisfactory stay.

Room was clean. Bed was comfortable. Front desk person was friendly and helpful. The breakfast was a good variety and tasty.

It is a decent hotel. We just had extreme difficulty getting into our room because of my card was prepaid. I had already paid for the hotel but they refused to put it under the card I used online. It took over an hour to square away the issue. With two young kids in the car. This can be frustrating. Bit the lady helped us and the rest of our stay was pleasant.

We really enjoyed our stay. I made a mistake and they were very helpful in fixing it. Front desk women were great! Room was clean and comfortable. Whirlpool tub was clean and operational. Bed was comfortable but pillows were not my favorite. Breakfast as standard with hot items like eggs and biscuits and gravy.

It was Okay, we drove from 12 hours away and because we pulled over to do bathroom breaks and for food our trip turned into 14 hours. We arrived at 4 and the room were supposed to be ready by 3pm. They had 2 room ready out of 7. My feet got swollen from the trip and all I wanted to do was lay down but we all had to wait another hour just laying around their lobby for our room. This was a group of 24 people. The room service also didn't do your bed if one item of yours was on it. Every other hotel does the bed and places they shirt or whatever you had over the fixed sheets but not here lol. They left you a paper stating that because you had (insert item (s) on bed here) They could not fix it. Items on my bed do not stop you from taking out the trash, which was not done. So because we had stuff on our bed our room didn't get done at all. Spoke to the rest of out party and they said the same thing those who also didn't get their rooms cleaned.

16 reviews 5.0 star rating 8/25/2017 I was in Indy for a few days in August and I was looking for a comfortable place to stay that was also conveniently located. Luckily, I found this Holiday Inn Express! It's right off of the highway, close to a lot of great dining choices and just a few minutes from downtown Indy. The front desk clerk was so friendly… my check-in took a matter of minutes. Maybe they could tell how tired I was! When I got into my room, I was pleased with how clean and fresh the room was. The decor wasn't outdated and everything was great. Then, I found the hidden jacuzzi tub. This made my stay! Now, the three things that I am most concerned about when staying in a hotel are, the bed, the shower and the Wi-Fi. This Holiday Inn Express passed with flying colors on all three! One of the best beds I have ever slept on in a hotel… great water pressure in the shower with plenty of hot water… and blazing fast internet. It was a perfect stay. I tend to sleep in when traveling, so I did not get a chance to try the free breakfast, but I'm sure it was on par with everything else this hotel does right. I will definitely stay here again… I'm actually looking forward to it!

We are very happy to stay here every time we perform in Indianapolis. The rooms are awesome, quiet, and comfortable and the staff is top-notch! There's plenty of shopping and restaurants near by and there's a nice swimming pool. Oh and the free breakfast before check-out is great!

I always stay at this Holiday Inn Express when I do the Bob and Tom show. This facility lives up to all of the holiday in express standards as you would expect. It's clean and well-maintained. I almost wanted to inquire about what kind of mattresses they use because I had one of the best nights sleep I've had in quite a while. This hotel is located only 15 minutes from downtown Indianapolis with easy access to the interstate. It is very close to shopping and nice restaurants. The comp breakfast is awesome! I found the staff very friendly helpful and efficient. This is my second time staying here and you can bet I will stay here again when I return to the Indianapolis area. This place is a value if you want to get things done. Hotels downtown are nearly twice as much and this is just as nice and only a 15 minute drive.

The staff is great. If it weren't for them I'd give this place a 2 star because it is in disrepair. It is clean and maintenance responds quickly — like our door lock falling apart and not allowing access from the hall, ice machines that keep spewing and ceiling leaks. Jenna was at the front desk when we checked in and she is amazing. Friendly, efficient, accommodating, unflappable and the queen of multi-task. Hopefully major renovations are coming soon because the staff needs a place to work that is worthy of them.

I walked into this hotel and immediately felt the warmth and sweetness of the front desk clerk. The room unexpectedly had a hot tub in it which was like the gift of the century. Parking was plenty, food options were abundant, and the room itself was wonderful. Highly recommended, I've always been very pro Holiday Inn Express but now I'm very VERY pro Holiday Inn Express.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. They really went out of their way to accommodate us. It is what you expect from a holiday Inn, free breakfast, pool and hot tub, comfy bed. When we take our children with us to stay somewhere, Holiday Inn is always where we go. If it is just the husband and I, we stay at a more upscale Marriott. I have never been disappointed with Holiday Inn.

We sent one of our engineers to Indianapolis to record a comedian at the comedy club downtown and he stayed at this Holiday Inn Express. It was perfect. He was able to do everything comfortably during his stay. It was close to downtown, and he loved the big room. We'll definitely be sending our guys back. Thanks Indy!

Loved it here. Amazing service from the staff. We travel a lot on the road and its a pleasure to have a clean friendly hotel to rests one head at night. The property was loaded with amenities and was very modern. We will definitely return.

I stay in a lot of hotels when I'm performing comedy on the road. It is part of the job, and sometimes can be daunting. I was traveling back from Minnesota to Pennsylvania and needed a place to stay halfway so I could get some rest. The Holiday Inn Express Indianapolis South hotel was perfect. I checked in at a weird time due to my travels, and had no trouble at all. The desk clerk was friendly and gave me some good directions to get back on the highway for my trip home. I was given a King Whirlpool Room. I enjoyed the whirlpool jets on my sore back from driving so much. The bed and pillows were heavenly. Everything was clean and the microwave, refrigerator, and coffee maker were useful as I made myself comfortable. Wireless internet was fast and free, and I got some work done on my laptop as I relaxed watching some television. The night manager also gave me a late checkout, which I truly appreciated. I am sure the breakfast was great, but I was too tired to get up and eat. Although my stay was short, it was enjoyable. The staff was excellent and gave me a warm welcome, everything was clean, the room was very comfortable, and I couldn't ask for anything more in a hotel. I definitely will stay here again when in the Indianapolis area.

Beds are always comfortable. Good breakfast & great coffee. But the best part of staying at Holiday Inn Express Indianapolis South is the Customer Service. The employees are all polite. In the dozen times I have stayed here, I've never encountered a rude employee. Cudos!

Horrible experience! I left one of my belongings in the room while I went to swim, and lost track of time and it was past 11am. I had most of my things in a bag with me except my wallet because I didn't want to take it with me. When we get done and can't get into the room, I went to the front and asked if a wallet has been turned in from my room. The lady calls the housekeeping and they said no. Well who has it?, I asked. The lady in the front did not help at all, nor ask if everything was going okay or if I found it. The supervisor was there also and I did not get no help from her neither. I stayed there for about another hour sitting, getting no help. I lost everything I had in my wallet today. This hotel has very rude and unhelpful staff and thieves? I do not recommend this hotel what so every. How are you supposed to feel comfortable leaving your belongings in YOUR room and it goes missing without anyone going in there? Mhm. I could have slept in my car and woke up knowing my things would still be there. It was such a horrible stay. Worst one yet!

Convenient location at I 465 but south East street has a lot of hot rod drag racing on it, loud bikes, hick pick up trucks, souped up cars. Now I know it has a race bar near here and a reputation for drag racing vs the police, I would not stay here again. I understand there was a fatality accident and arrests made near here for drag racing. Too bad. This is our 4th noisy night here.

When my 4 year old daughter, my cousin, and I arrived Saturday night around 9 PM we were exhausted and really looking forward to relaxing in the pool. Unfortunately, the pool at been closed due to someone getting sick. Jaclyn, at the front desk, saw how disappointed we were and offered to let us rent a movie for free and told us we could check out late Sunday to make sure we got time to swim once the pool was up and running. She really made our night! We appreciated her so much!

The bathroom had water issues (visible with the bubbling wall paper). The rewards program is not great. IHG makes you have one card per member as opposed to one card per household. (Meaning my better half and I could not have one joined reward card) The staff was very nice. Breakfast options were wonderful. However, when choosing hotels, I will go to where the rewards program is best fitting.

Myra is fantastic… Calm, hospitable and genuine. Very nice property. Google directions do not route well to property… but the building is hard to miss. Right next to CVS.

Everyone was accommodating and professional. Check in and check out was made stress free thanks to the attentive front desk staff. Loved the room size and its amenities. The bathroom was clean and the shower had nice pressure and stayed hot. I would highly recommend it here.

Loved this location! Great friendly staff quick and easy check in. The room was spacious and the bed was great. The location in really close to the interstate and shopping. Hotel was up to date and well maintained. Had a great TV with lots of channels plus free fast Wi-Fi. The breakfast was great as well lots of food to choose from plus a magic pancake machine. Doesn't get much better than that. Would recommend to anyone.

This is a great hotel. The bathroom was really nice. The shower had great water pressure with a tall shower head. The indoor pool was also very clean. All and all a great experience. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone.

Such a clean, comfortable room and bed too. Love the extra pillows. Fridge and microwave are convenient. The bathroom is very roomy and spacious. I felt very relaxed in this room. Will come back.

There are pros and cons at just about every hotel out there — with a select few locations that stand at one end or the other of the spectrum. This particular location had more pros than cons but the cons were a bit aggravating. No matter how often I read the "fine print" on websites when booking, I can never seem to find the part about my rates going to be much higher than advertised. I booked 5 nights here at $104.99/night. I arrived on a Sunday and was told that my rate for the first 2 nights would be $209/night. I was informed that this was because the Colts were at home that night. Sooo what about Monday? The young lady at the front desk was very quick to offer a lowered rate for the misunderstanding online — although the new rate was nowhere near the online price. The next thing was the TV. As I've stated in several hotel reviews, I believe a 37" (ish) is not adequate for most rooms. The only other negative (and the hardest to deal with) was the Wi-Fi. It disconnects randomly throughout the entire day and evening. And at other times it will go into Limited connectivity. Considering I have quite a bit of work to do online, this was a nightmare to deal with. I mean, hotel Wi-Fi is almost never very good but this was difficult to deal with. Ugh… However, I will not dwell on those things due to the rest of the stay to be nice. It is very close to everything and is surprisingly quiet. A little road noise but nothing too bad.

This hotel was fabulous! Big, comfy bed and spacious room. My room was particularly cool because I had a jacuzzi tub in addition to my shower. The staff was so nice and accommodating to my late check out. I'll definitely be back!

​ This place is everything Holiday Inn express advertises and more. It is clean, offers all of the facilities and amenities, free Wi-Fi. The location is very quiet, but located less than a quarter of a mile from I 465. It is less then 20 minutes from everything in Indianapolis. The staff was very friendly, very helpful! The free breakfast in the morning is in a nice clean facility and it is well-stocked including many healthy items. For value, this is the place to stay in Indianapolis.

Nice, clean room with great A/C. We had a double king room and were there for three nights. I highly recommend.

I called down to the main desk and the phone wasnt working. Then I get down there and had to wait for 10 min b4 someone came and helped me. They claimed they Had no fresh pillows and blankets. Had to use towels just to sleep on the hidabed… Not pleased at all… Especially since it was a $175 room.

Nobody's perfect, but to me when you try hard to make up for mistakes you deserve to be recognized for it. During my stay I had an unfortunate thing happen which was the result of an associate mistake. My immediate reaction was harsh and brooding not knowing the facts but as the dust settled and the full picture came into view it was hugely apparent what a great team works here. Yes, the hotel could use a little updating, but its safe, its clean, there's breakfast, the staff is extraordinarily friendly and when things go wrong they do their best to make it right. I would put this group up to any 5-star hotel team any day… It's not always about the facility. And as a side note… If you post something and it turns out to be false, you should probably update your post or delete it. Kids and tablets… I'm tellin' ya.

Cleaning staff stole a tablet computer out of my room and hotel management did nothing to hold employee accountable or reimburse me for the obvious theft. Said it was my fault because I didn't put it in the safe and they they are not responsible. Also there was trash in the room when I checked in and carpet was dirty. I would stay away! Go to the HI Express Southeast. It is a short distance away and much nicer.

Dirty moldy bathroom, stains on curtains and lampshades, dusty lamps and a strange odor I can't explain. I touched the table in my room and it was sticky… The pool looked and smelled old and moldy. Nothing about this hotel felt clean. Sure the staff is nice, helpful and accommodating but it doesn't make up for being the dirtiest hotel I've ever stayed at in my life. I DO NOT recommend this hotel to anyone.

The staff was excellent. They helped us book our room and when I left some items in my room they called me to let me know. I didn't have to call them. Super nice and helpful.

I was a little disappointed that room I reserved was not available: however were comped night of charge. Very friendly staff.

Great service, comfortable bed, amazing breakfast, but our last night of our stay our o2 sensor was cut out from under our truck, that was the 6th time it had happend in their parking lot and still no cameras or anything.

Clean rooms. Friendly staff. Easy access in the morning to the airport. Also had a decent shower. Too many places put in way too low of a flow showers. I would stay there again.
