Rooms are cramped and look like the inside of a jail cell with the cinderblock walls.
I dropped a friend off there and the place is filthy.

The worst. It started when I booked online at In-town motel, which looked bad, but I never got there. They said they'd given my room away but could put me in Soy City Motel at the same price. Since I'd already paid for it, I said well what could I do? The person who had obviously gotten my room had a stack of 50s when he paid for 2 weeks of staying and offered to sell me some "good stuff" which I turned down. So I walk down to Soy City and check in. Now on to the "motel" "free" Wi-Fi didn't work. Phone didn't work. Didn't allow me to make a phone call at the front desk either. I was just trying to call a cab which I guess isn't allowed. Cinderblock walls that felt like a prison. The air conditioner was noisy and the room was humid. The shower was broken so that it was either freezing cold water or scalding hot water. I got woken up at 2 in the morning by a "where's my money" speech and a woman hitting a guy's car. Threats of death and swearing went on for about 15 minutes with what might have been fighting. The cops never showed so I guess if you're into that, you could stay here. Checking out was also fun because there was no one there at 10 am after pressing the call button multiple times no one showed up. I was treated with disgust when the woman finally showed up at about 10:30 am. Anything over 1 star by anyone else is either fake or must be high or something. Avoid both Soy City and In-Town Motel. You'd be better off sleeping outside.
