Rude staff, especially wendy cozzi the general manager. Hotel is overpriced, filthy & they don't care! you'd be better off camping in lincoln park, downtown chicago — anywhere else but there. hotel has been undergoing a remodel for over 3 years. Only 1 of 2 elevators are in operation & it hasn't been inspected since december 2017! room we stayed in, toilet was overflowing when we walked in. Had to go down to the front desk ourselves to get a plunger. bedding had dog hair & stains all over the sheets, pillows, everything. only 1 hand towel & 1 washcloth in the bathroom & a half used roll of toilet paper. hotel should be closed (temporarily, at least) or condrmned until the building, including elevator have been inspected. The disgusting rooms should not be made available until they have been completely sanitized from wall-to-wall / floor-to-ceiling. the general manager should be given her walking papers & attend an extensive anger management training program — at her expense. don't believe me. I've had to rescue a Vietnam that out of the elevator because he was stuck in there and staff was very slow to respond so I had to try that utilize information that I had learned years ago when I was doing construction and demolition on elevators and buildings downtown. That was the only reason I can remove him from the elevator. Then I found out he was a Vietnam vet and he was disabled and has a disabled wife. We've had issues with customer service since we got here there's an overcharge going on and I'm asking for a total comp of room. I will post the TripAdvisor I will post everywhere I need to to get this resolved.
