Stunning hotel, incredible views even from the room, awesome rooftop pool & bar, amazing staff. New favourite hotel in town! Will definitely be back! 😍

We so loved this beautiful hotel during our recent long weekend getaway! It was so nice to come back to a luxurious feeling space after a full day… to relax & chill out. The room & bathroom were spacious… and staff was great! Beautiful views & a wonderful neighborhood… lots of restaurants & shops within walking distance. It was my favorite area… the energy was great! 😃 We would definitely stay there again & highly recommend it! 🥰

Such an amazing experience! I can’t talk about this hotel enough to be honest. Literally the best hospitality I’ve experienced & smack in the middle of all the action! You’re surrounded by all the designer stores but even with that, you still won’t want to leave the comfort of your room.

Beautiful clean rooms, service is excellent. Patrick the front desk manager was extremely helpful in recommending places to see & in making restaurant reservations. We were very impressed & would stay there again.

Yep good views. A 20 something birthday 🥳 came up and kept us up until 3am. Called the front desk 3 times and they would come up it would be still for 10 minutes and then a loud crazy party. Not one response by staff or management. Stay at the Ritz or Peninsula.

Excellent hotel. Fantastic room, decor, service and location. My first time here 6/29/21 and have been pleasantly surprised.

They double charged us for a room. We stayed a night on our anniversary.
We are from Chicago. Hotel was empty. Door person said he would upgrade us a room for X dollars. When I went over my bill the charge was double. I called the hotel, basically told I was out of luck. Better choices in the city. Buyer beware!

Very friendly and kind staff. Dog friendly. Rooms were beautiful and clean. They were so sweet gave our baby girl a cute little goat stuffed animal when we arrived.

We always love staying at Viceroy properties and the one in Chicago did not disappoint! The retro glam rooms are definitely photo worthy and the rooftop pool and bar has the best view of Chicago's Gold Coast. Everything from the service to the food was so on point and we felt super safe there during covid — the staff took every precaution to ensure cleanliness and social distancing. Bruch at Somerset was also amazing and they have the cutest outdoor greenhouses. Thanks Viceroy, we'll definitely be back soon!

Loved the ambience in a friendly and secure environment. Nice touch with the outdoor dining greenhouses. Lady at the front desk was first class.

Celebrated my husband's birthday. The staff made it special by providing complimentary champagne and chocolates. The stay was wonderful. We have no complaints at all. Great location, staff and pleny of restaurants to indulge in. The perfect getaway.

Charles at the front desk was beyond amazing. He is one of the best to ever do it. He is definitely a major plus to Viceroy Chicago and he needs a big raise. He was so helpful on giving great advice on restaurants and making sure our stay was enjoyable. The room was top notch and the bathroom was breathtaking. I loved every aspect of Viceroy and when I visit Chicago again this is the only hotel I will consider.

We had SUCH a great time here this past weekend. Special shoutout to both Matt and Drew for making our experience at the pool everything we wanted and more. They are both so accommodating, funny, and quick. The pool is gorgeous, as well as clean and warm. The outdoor furniture is also really comfortable and clean. Since the bar and restaurant are closed, you can bring your own beverages and Matt and Drew will pour them for you! 100% recommend this hotel, especially for the pool! Also, please don’t forget to tip the guys if they are keeping your white claws cold and coming for you.

Horrible customer service! I tried to cancel a reservation because a concert we were going to was canceled due to COVID-19. We are from out of state. I contacted them 45 days before my reservation. They informed me I am in luck they are going to give me back 50% of what I paid! I was told that this is all they are willing to offer. I went on to the website it says that they only have 2 rooms left for the weekend I was going to be there. So not only are they going to keep 50% of my money they will most likely book the room! The Airlines, the rental car and tickets for the concert all refunded of my money. At this point the only problem I am having is with Expedia and the hotel room!

Had an amazing time at this hotel as a COVID-responsible mini-vacation over 4th of July weekend. The rooms were beautiful, had excellent storage, and the entire hotel was clean — we felt great about their safety precautions. The location and amenities were also fantastic. The staff — especially Charles at the front desk, and Matt at the pool — were incredibly helpful and friendly. There were plenty of other amazing staff, but we didn’t catch their names. I’ll note the pool — which was luxuriously appointed with a phenomenal view — had a few COVID restrictions. There’s a limited number of deck spaces, and only 6 people can be in the pool at one time. There’s also a two hour limit. We were only turned away once, however, the actual pool was frequently full of kids and guests who weren’t particularly interested in sharing. The staff did an amazing job keeping everyone in line with the rules, but having an adult swim or a timed turnover to allow more people actually in the pool would be great. Last thing — we were incredibly impressed with Matt as he handled multiple issues at the pool caused by drunk and high, loud, selfish, and obnoxious guests. You dont frequently see that level of exceptional service in the face of such negatively. He minimized the disruption to other guests while effectively handling multiple tense situations. All that said, this really is a wonderful hotel and we felt genuinely cared for by the hotel and it’s staff.

My granddaughter's bridal shower was in the Cedar Ballroom on Sunday, September 15th. From the moment we entered the lobby staff was there to welcome and direct us. The venue is absolutely beautiful and access to the terrace allowed for gathering and amazing photo ops.
The staff was very accommodating and courteous and the food was delicious. It was a beautiful venue, outstanding food and a day the couple will remember forever! Compliments galore from the guests!

Incredible experience from start to finish. We arrived for a wedding and it also happened to be a anniversary for ourselves and they sent us champagne and chocolates! The service is incredible and the location is perfect. Will be a must for trips to come.

Definitely a great hotel in a great location. Very flexible at check in (my reservation was kind of screwy — totally on me! ). Staff has positive attitudes and very professional. The rooftop pool is very well-maintained with an excellent service staff and a good crowd. My only complaint is that on the second day of our stay they closed the pool for a private event. They could’ve handled this much better and notified guests ahead of time. Instead you had to find out on your own after having gone with the expectation of enjoying a great time at the pool. But I don’t want to be too dramatic, I mean, there’s plenty to do in Chicago! I will definitely return.

A new, fancy and nicely designed boutique hotel in the Gold Coast District of Chicago. The staff was friendly. Our room was small and clean. The king bed was comfortable, but the pillows were way too soft! We asked the front desk to bring a set of firmer pillows but they actually were the same that were already in the room. The Viceroy is certainly not a typical 5 star hotel. You find many restaurants and food stores around the hotel. It’s not far from the Lakefront Trail, Chicago 360 and the Magnificent Mile.

What a fantastic hotel. Staff was friendly and helpful. Small pool on roof turn into bar at night. Views from roof top are good. Room was good size, very clean and comfortable. Bathroom had door for toilet area vs rest of bathroom. Workout room was clean and had plenty of treadmills plus free weights and some other machines. Lobby was nice but not very big. Stay here if you can!

This is by far the best hotel in the city. Customer service is beyond expectations of anybody. In the middle of everything. Definitely the only place I would recommend to anyone anywhere anytime who is visiting Chicago. It's clean the staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Excellent on everything I'll give you 10 Stars instead of 5

Fantastic staff. Rooms were pretty small but bathroom is huge (just as big as room). Perfect location for walking around, eating well and doing some people watching in Chicago’s Gold Coast. Great area, felt safe at all hours of the day.

This boutique hotel was a nice place to stay while visiting Chicago for a weekend. The location was perfect for our planned activities around town. The staff was hospitable and attentive. The hotel was clean. The rooms were modern and had good amenities. The bed was very comfortable. I would highly recommend this hotel, and I plan on staying there again.

I was pleasantly surprised by this trendy mid-century modern hotel. The staff was amazing, and the hotel mixed a front of an old Chicago style hotel, with a modern Tower behind. The rooms were small but very well decorated with very modern features and amenities. By far the most impressive part of the hotel was the rooftop pool & cocktail bar. This was the epitome of the Gold Coast, a kind of hidden gem of a cocktail bar, packed to the gills for a beautiful sunset happy hour on a Thursday during the Chicago suertime. I would highly recommend this to friends and it will be a first choice for my next visit.

What a gem! Everything from the food, staff, and accommodations were top notch. Our 17th floor suite simply put, was out of this world, and the view priceless! A special thanks to James who made sure everything was perfect. We will be back! Guy & Lou.

I got our room on Hotwire and had never heard of it. LOVED it is an understatement — the modern decor reminded me of Mad Men and the rooms are great. The staff was amazing — from checkin to the upstairs lounge to the restaurant/bar. We got into the city, dropped our bags at checkin and ran out the door to get to our dinner reservation. The staff dropped our bags in our room & Alex the concierge was so helpful in getting cupcakes delivered for a birthday surprise. I can’t say enough fantastic things about this hotel — we will definitely be back!

Thank you for the wonderful hospitality in such a beautiful hotel this weekend. We were so excited to be some of the first guests to experience Viceroy Chicago. As you walk in to the hotel, you are immediately struck by both the beauty of the design and a scent that soothes to welcome you "home". It was clear that all of the hosts at the hotel — from Tyler at the front desk to Etienne at the concierge desk to the housekeeping crew and everyone else we met — were genuinely excited to have us there and as friendly and helpful as could be. Our breakfast at Somerset was incredible — the Rosti and Baked Eggs were the best I've had. Best of luck on your ribbon cutting this week — your team is ready!
