Nice place, good location. Seems to be well managed (like most Hampton Inns). The breakfast could use some attention, but this is consistent for all Hampton's (the fruit is always decent). Having coffee and water out 24 hours is Handy (and the coffee isn't that bad).

We had somewhat low expectations upon booking this hotel, but after our late arrival and great access to early check in via Hilton Honors website, we had a speedy check in, wonderful, quiet and comfortable room by “ANY” standards. As a global frequent flyer, this hotel ranks on my top ten. The staff is 1st class, knowledgeable, and very polite. The location is absolutely fantastic, only a few blocks to the most popular attractions Chicago offers. Try the steak at the attached restaurant… wow! Service was excellent too!

The staff is great. And loved the fact that they offered to hold our luggage after we checked out since we had a later flight! I highly recommend this place.

Website says they have a hot tub. I called the reservation line and they confirmed so I spent $220 when I normally only budget $150 for an overnight stay. I got here and asked where it was located and they informed me they don’t have one, and anyone I talked to would’ve been aware of that. I showed her the number I called and she confirmed that it was correct, but all employees are aware there is no hot tub. I asked if I could cancel and she said she didn’t think I could because there is a 24 hour notice for cancellation. I told her I’m aware of that but since I was misquoted by an employee of the amenities maybe they could make an exception. I was then told yet again that every employee is aware there is no hot tub. The old me would’ve made a scene, demanded to speak to a manager, and asked for my money back so I could find a hotel with the amenities I desire. I must be getting old because nowadays I just write scathing 1 star reviews. I’m tired boss…

The Hampton provided a very enjoyable experience. Continental breakfast in the morning was delicious and the rooms were very nice and clean. Nice pool. One downside is that it is located right across the street from a Chicago Fire Department station so they go throughout the night. Another odd note, our room always ended up at 72°F, even though we changed it everyday.

Small Hotel in the middle of the city, nice and clean rooms. Attentive and respectful staff. Great breakfast, free (buffet). Good to go for a walk and enjoy the view and beautiful places.

Nice hotel, and a good spot just north of the river. Clean rooms, and clean lobby. Breakfast is free, and has a meat choice, waffles, and an "omelette". Not really sure if I have tasted "egg" like that. But free and satisfying. Staff was very pleasant. And loved the free coffee and hot chocolate. As is the issue with the other Hampton on Michigan Avenue north, the elevators are a mess. There are three, but only one is ever in use. At breakfast and checkout, it is nearly impossible to use an elevator. You can use the stairs, but you can only go down. A locking gate prevents you from using them to go up. And that scares the hell out of me. If for some reason I had to get back up to the room in a hurry, there is no way to do it with the elevator situation. The main reason for the three star review. In the hotel's attempt to lock down the hotel for safety, they seem to have created another safety issue as a result. This could easily be solved if they would allow all three elevators to run at all times.

This is a nice, simple hotel. We were able to check in quickly and a bit early as well. The staff was friendly and the room was clean. The hotel was very busy when I stayed and I felt that everything was still running very smoothly. The free breakfast was wonderful and there was plenty to eat, even towards the end of the breakfast time. The only downside was that the hot tub was not working, a major bummer for me.

This was a fantastic hotel. Our room was very nice, clean and roomy. We had a suite. Breakfast at the hotel was great. Lots of choices and very convenient. Hotel was close to lots of great places to eat!

This is a great hotel. Nice breakfast, roomy rooms, great location. Only minus is the pull out couch in king suite. Planned on having the king bedroom for ourselves (me and hubby) but pull out couch is unusable… so bad. So, that makes 4 of us on the king bed: (word of advice, if this is your plan with your family, the suite is great but you really can't use the couch as a second bed.

Very nice for a city hotel. I tend to find hotels in big cities as less personable and losing that extra touch of hospitality due to the high traffic. The staff was very friendly and the room was spacious and clean. Easy to get to and in a great part of the city. Breakfast was mediocre but better than most free hotel breakfasts. Would recommend.

Very good location, close to the Trump Tower, central downtown position. Very good service and great facilities.

The staff is friendly at the front desk, kitchen, and in cleaning services. The breakfast has a nice waffle bar and a lot of fruit. The eggs and meat could be a bit better but the potatoes are quite delicious. The room was clean upon entry and the bathroom was well stocked.

The location of this hotel is excellent for the price. We easily walked to the Hancock building, Millennium Park, and the House of Blues. Breakfast was included and decent. The only complaint was we got there to check in at 4:10pm and were told our room would be ready in 5 minutes. We decided to stay in the lobby and the receptionist said she would call us when the room was ready. An hour later, we checked with another person at the desk and they replied, "Yeah, it's been ready. " Not thrilled about that, but no complaints otherwise.

Nice hotel with, friendly helpful, staff. Room was clean. There was a yellow stain on the ceiling, from what seemed like could have been a water leak. The complimentary breakfast was delicious. Security was friendly and helpful.

When travelling I like to stay at Hampton Inns. They always nice, and this place did not disappoint me. It actually was one of the nicer I have stayed at. Great beds with good linens Nice size TV with big selection of stations Room was nice size Breakfast was delicious with good coffee Best part of all the room was a great price.

Great location. There are so many things to do right outside the hotel. The staff was great with no issues with the room. The room itself didn't have a fridge and the water pressure was kinda light. Other than that is a good room.

I liked the Hampton Inn except for one thing: there is a fire station that woke me almost every hour during the night.

Location was convenient, very close to lots of attractions. The room was pretty basic, nothing outstanding, but nice and clean. Breakfast had all the usual continental suspects. Coffee was out though. Front desk was really nice and very helpful.

Nice, comfy and clean. Guest services was professional and polite. Good spread for comp breakfast. Easy access to shopping, dining, etc. Just bring your earplugs if you're not used to sleeping in the city — some nights can be a little loud outside!

Rooms are comfy and clean. Complimentary breakfast is not great. Hotel staff is friendly. We got there early and they checked our baggage and said they would call us when the room was ready. Never called but when we went back at check in time our room was ready.

The double queen rooms are exquisite. Bathrooms are super nice and staff is super poilte. The breakfast is good but variety is slim.

The hotel room was nice, the breakfast area was a mess, out of four hot containers they were out of 3 for about Five minutes, they also ran out of oatmeal and pancake batter. I don't know if they were just not expecting this many people but it was not a nice breakfast experience. The rest of the hotel was fine.

My husband and myself have been at this hotel for a month. Great location, great restaurants, movie theater, Starbucks and close to Woodfield mall. Everyone at the hotel is great, front desk, kitchen and maid service. They're Very friendly and professional. Couldn't be happier! Home away from home. When I return this will be my home.

Old tired decor. Plastic cutlery very noisy at night with the fire engine enough CHLORINE to burn your eyes out in the pool paid for the suite plugs didn't work in sink and didn't look like it had been decorated since maybe the blues brothers stayed there. Plus side it's pretty central other than that I wouldn't stay there again.

Great views and complimentary continental breakfast. Rooms are very clean and well accommodated. Polite and courteous staff with valet service.

We traveled to Chicago for a mini getaway from 8/09/17 — 8/11/17. Although we've stayed in many luxurious 5 star hotels, Hampton Inn never disappoints and Chicago-Downtown was no exception. The front desk and housekeeping staff were amazing and our king suite was lovely. If you're willing to sacrifice a skyline or water view, then I highly recommend this hotel. The amenities and comfort make up for the view.

The sisters of Dorne work the desk here and that's the best thing about this hotel. Breakfast is worth mentioning. AC only goes to 68. There's a firehouse next door so prepare to hear sirens all day. The carpet in my room was sticky and the elevator takes 10 minutes.

Good value for money, breakfast included.
Very well located halfway to the magnificent Mile and the Chicago River.
Only negative: Do not end up in a room overlooking the fire station, the sirens at night rhythms the sleep in an irritating way… but at the reception you are offered… earplugs Balls!

We stayed the night and was very nice. Clean and very freindly staff. Breakfast in the morning was great. Highly recommend.

First attempt at hotwire. We got Hampton and loved it. Free upgrade to king suite. Great staff and great breakfast. Room was clean and we'll presented. Would definitely recommend.

The holtel was great articles By Dave Bryan The food was is the you are a good boy. Eat more food at the holtel because it was good. I liked it a lot. It is in Chicago which sucks because the cubs play there. I don't like the cubs.

I was a little worried when we got to the hotel because they couldn't find my reservation, then they didn't have the room we specified (we asked for a king 1 bedroom suite and ended up with 2 double beds instead), but it was still a fabulous room. Very large, separate areas for the kitchen, living room and bedroom (with a door). It was very clean in the hotel itself as well as our room. There was some sort of odd banging sound by our room, but it wasn't loud enough to keep us up through the night, just odd. Parking my seem pricey ($59/night), but for the area it is actually on par if not cheaper. We took the VIK (Very Important Kid) package so our daughter received a nice little goodie bag for her with fairly healthy snacks, an activity book and floaties. The package also included parking, which made it well worth it. It's in a great part of the city as far as local attractions, restaurants/bars. Breakfast was included, which was okay but not great, but hey for free you can grab any of the cold stuff (bagels, cereal, fruit, yogurt) or a make it yourself waffle and you cant really go wrong there. *Tip for the valet, they can take 15-20 minutes to bring your car around, so call down ahead.

Very well located. Restaurants and bars nearby. Facilities very good. Abundant breakfast. Very clean and very good care. Unique hits, station of firefighters in front, that generates some noise of sirens punctual.

Some vacation time in downtown Chicago. Hotel is a little dated. The staff is outstanding. Everyone so courteous and very helpful. Good equipment in the fitness center. Great location with proximity to Navy Pier.

The staff is professional and helpful in suggesting places to go. The rooms are clean, beds comfortable, and the staff seems to spend a lot of time cleaning. Breakfast has a wide variety and is delicious! The only negative thing is when arriving back at about 1:30am from a show on Friday there were a lot of sketchy people outside. You have to use your room key to get in after 11:00pm however the people will come behind you where you are stuck between two doors with the people. So either, you use your room key and they get in or you stand their awkwardly with sketchy people right beside you.

I am still checked in as I type this and the longer I'm here the more disappointed am. When I came in the floors was dirty and stains on the chairs. I was told by housekeee6that the floors are just stained. The soda machine is broken. Tissue holder is broken, stains on the ceilings, the hot tub and pool needs a full restoration! I almost broke my toe on huge filters popping out the floor! I stayed over night at the hampton suites in Madison wi and compared this is a motel! The elevators are dirty and the hallways need updating asap! It's terrible I paid this much and I have so many complaints.

My fiancé birthday is always a big celebration. He wanted to go to Chicago for his birthday getaway. Last year we stayed at the hotel for the first time. It was great experience. It was so good that when I asked my fiancé what would he like to do his birthday. He response was lets go to Chicago and stay at the Hampton Inn Suites again. When I called Ines to help me with a group of 10. She was very helpful and nice. When we arrived we were pleasantly greeted with huge smiles. We stayed in a suite, very spacious and clean. All the staff were all very accommodating. This hotel absolutely delivers nothing but the best. I love this place and will recommend this place to anyone looking to stay in Chicago. Dameon and I would like to thank Ines, Damian, Janessa and the rest of the staff for another great & wonderful experience.

I enjoyed the services offered, except that the train passes not far and it makes noise especially in the early morning.

I stayed here twice. Both times were an excellent experience. I'm from N. C. So I'm very well aware of hospitality. This hotel absolutely delivers! Great job Hampton Inn!

My husband and I really enjoyed our trip to Chicago and were pleasantly greeted by the valet and the front desk upon arrival. Our bed and pillows were wonderful. The room decor was fabulous, relaxing color scheme and very inviting we stayed on the 6th floor. The shower was a little narrow even though the shower curtain was the bowed type it was still a little claustrophobic in there. The water temperature and pressure was great. No refrigerator or microwave but we were only staying one night. The staff was very kind and helpful. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone. Just fair warning the valet is $60/ day and/ or walk 3 blocks to park so wear your walking shoes or bring the extra dough!
