Best Hampton Inn I have ever stayed. Nice and very clean. Complementary breakfast. Specific breakfast item was made according to my request in no time. Valet was excellent. The attendant pulled my car and dropped me off to a location since I was getting late. I would’ve missed the tour otherwise. Very close from Millennium park. Overall it was a pleasant experience staying with them.

Stayed for a one night quick trip. Easy check in, helpful staff, clean room, convenient for walking to attractions but is attached to CIBC theatre which is the highlight. Awesome hot breakfast options. Will definitely stay again. Only suggestion is to hand out a map to the parking garage for those of us directionally challenged and whose maps on phones didn't want to update very well.

We had a wonderful experience for our 2-night stay in Chicago. Conveniently located to the “L”, the Loop, safe location, beautiful & spacious rooms. Staff was helpful & exceptionally friendly. Oscar took time to show us a map & help us maximize our one day in Chicago. If our daughter ends up attending school here, this will be our go-to hotel! Most definitely recommend! As soon as we arrived, the staff were extremely friendly. Everyone from the bellman, front desk workers and housekeeping staff were very helpful. We loved the convenience of the theater where Hamilton was playing on site. Hotel is conveniently located and we walked everywhere we wanted to see. Definitely will stay here again.

The room was very nice and had nice amenities and a comfy bed. Centrally located downtown. However, our maid service rarely did anything but most our bed. We had to go to the lobby every day to request towels and toiletries. And the lobby staff was often in a bad mood.

The staff was friendly and the rooms were clean. We came to Chicago to see Hamilton and stayed here. The staff was so helpful! We were able to use the hotel entrance to the theater and didn't have to wait in line to get into the lobby!

The room was spectacular! I am sort of thrifty. This was an amazing room for the price I thought. Hampton has the best continental breakfast ever! Most chains will give you cold cereal and a bagel. Good morning! Hampton goes out of there way to give you a very delicious cooked breakfast. Eggs, bacon, sausage, pancakes…! Warning! No parking available! Period! When I booked here I thought could park nearby. Not the case at all. The have a company that parks your car in there lot. It took 45 minutes to get my car back after the other company parked it where? Thank god I had insurance. Great place to stay! Without a car!

Very clean and a great location. Staff was helpful and were able to suggest close restaurants. Located in the same building as the majestic theater. Able to walk to magnificent mile, we walked to navy pier but wouldn't recommend that.

Great place, close to everything. Older building but, well maintained. Lots of outlets in the room with USB ports! Very clean, housekeeping team does a great job! Autumn, Angel, Marcus and Harman deserve shout outs for great customer service. Gals that take care of breakfast were great and guys at the door are always nice. You have to keep your eye out for the entrance or you will miss it and the traffic on Monroe does not watch out for you when unloading/loading your car. The hotel entrance is literally on the corner next to the Majestic Theater. We have one more night but, an enjoyable stay!

The staff at check in were friendly and efficient. The room was spacious and comfortable with a single king bed. The cable television was more comprehensive than usual abbreviated hotel offerings. The Wi-Fi was consistent, and the Hampton Breakfast every morning was solid, as always.

Our first time to Chicago and this property did not disappoint! From the valet to the front desk to the cleaning staff all were super helpful & informative. Hotel location could not have been any better — close to all the great attractions as well as shopping & restaurants. Room was perfect & oh so clean — bed was a dream. We will definitely stay here again on our next trip to the Windy City!

Hotel was beautiful inside. Rooms were really nice, definitely nicer than I expected. Great views of millennial park. The rooftop restaurant and bar was great. Really enjoyed our stay. Convenient location.

The room was fantastic as was HAMILTON, my only complaint (which is why I rate +4/5) was an employee at the front desk who lacked in hospitality and knowledge. He could have been a new employee but his coworker, Sonya was wonderful! The breakfast was wonderful as well with multiple waffle machines, oatmeal, cereal, pastries, grapefruit, and my favorite was the thinly sliced almonds provided! The batter for the waffles was sweet and perfect. I also loved the marble walls, and the original "letter box" located where the elevators are to enter/leave the building.

The staff and lobby are great! Room needs to be remodeled, but isn't too old. If you are seeing a show in the theatre, this place is awesome! We saw Hamilton while there and even got to jump the line. The valets were awesome. The hotel is very close to the finance district and millennium park (the giant bean). Will stay here again.

Had a queen size bed with a sleeper sofa. Nice earth-toned room. Was great walking next door to see Hamilton! Didn't even have to go outside.

There is no other place I would stay when visiting Chicago! I took the subway to the city from the airport and there is a stop right in front of where this hotel is located. This is truly a magical place. I stayed here over three years ago and I think of it often. Chicago is my favorite city and this historic hotel was the most perfect place to stay. The staff was incredibly kind, the hotel was absolutely beautiful, and it was within walking distance of major attractions. You can't beat the price for the location and modern yet historic atmosphere. I look forward to returning here in the future!

Hotel is in excellent shape and looks great. Everything is comfortable, accessible, and well-maintained. Great value for the price you pay.

We had an issue at check in. It was eventually resolved though I feel it could have been handled much better. It is still not clear to me if this issue was a corporate issue or a branch issue. Either way, it does not negate the fact that there was an issue. Breakfast was included, but their offerings seemed below that of other hotels. Additionally, the dinning area was not large enough to accommodate enough guests. Both mornings we had to bring our food back to our room to eat. The best part about this hotel is the location, but I would look at other options in the area before returning.

A good 3 star hotel. Parking is not cheap, though it is quite nice. Did not exceed expectations, but they did meet them.

My boyfriend and I stayed for a long weekend at the Majestic. The room was clean and the bed was super comfy. The location was great! We were 5 min from the Blue line subway station and there were lots of fun restaurants and shops within walking distance of the hotel. The giant sign for their theatre made it easy to find at night, too. I would definitely stay here again!

I recently traveled with a friend to see Hamilton and spend some time is Chicago. My friend chose the hotel because of the proximity to the theatre but also said it was not all that expensive. The service was excellent! It did not feel like we were staying in a big hotel chain at all. Everyone was personable and friendly. My friend was celebrated as the Guest of the Day and we were treated to snacks and beverages. The complimentary breakfast was extraordinary and of restaurant quality. It was fun to share breakfast with other hotel residents the morning after the show and compare notes. Thankfully, as it was very cold during our visit, the hotel adjoins the theatre and we did not have to even bring our coats down from our rooms! We also had dinner and drinks directly across the street at the bar and grill — very good! I highly recommend this Hampton Inn! Whether you are seeing a show or just visiting downtown Chicago, this hotel is great! Close to Millennium Park and the Art Institute and many other amenities — it's a winner!

My daughter and I went to Chicago to see Hamilton. The Majestic was perfect for this occassion. We had the perk of not having to wait in the outside line because we were guest of the hotel. HIGHLY recommend this hotel… very quiet in the rooms. Best Hampton Inn I have ever stayed in.

Excellent room. Bed was comfy. Unfortunately, our plumbing got backed up right before check out (maybe due to cold weather) so bathroom sink got full of nastiness and room began to have a sewage smell. Notified front desk & hopefully it was taken care of ASAP! Would stay again!

Dingy, dirty, cramped. Dirty room, window leaked entire weekend (not raining, it was condensation). Super expensive and not super nice! The only reason we stayed was because supposedly it was connected with access to theatre. Well it IS. But it was roped off, had to go outside and wait in line anyway. Or cut in front of everyone else already in line to get into theatre. Very bad set up, rude desk clerk and concierge.

I took a trip to Chicago for a few days to take in some sight seeing. I have been to Chicago several times and have always stayed in major brand hotels and have never received the treatment that I received at the Hampton Inn Majestic Theater. Make sure you are actively looking for this hotel, because it is a small door within a large theater. The hotel loby is very inviting and clean. The staff is very welcoming and helpful. Upon checking in they provided me a water and a list of nearby restaurants that they recommend. I went to 4 of those restaurants and all were very good. The lobby also offers cookies in the afternoon and they are delicious (butterscotch chocolate chip). I was surprised at the quality of these cookies being that they are from a hotel and free. I was always able to ask for a bottle of water and they always happily gave me one with a smile. I have been to Chicago twice before once at a similar branded hotel and another at a higher class hotel and both rooms were the size of a closet. This hotel room was very large and very spacious. Which is nice, it was like staying in an airport hotel, but in the heart of the city. The hotel has good access to State Street, so if you need quick shopping it is within minutes, red and blue lines are within a block and most major Chicago attractions are within 5-15 minutes walking (Any sporting event you need to take the subway or cab/Lyft).

Great location except kind of hard to get parked without getting hit or clipped on the street. Tons of place to eat/see within walking distance. Rooms were great and there was plenty of food at breakfast.

Everything and everybody was great from the moment we pulled up and the valet guy explained parking options to the maid who showed us how to use the tricky safe elevators. We chose the hotel because it was close to my daughters college DT and was about $150 cheaper then last time we stayed DT so if your looking for a DT hotel in a nice area, safe, clean and nice place with very nice professional people then I suggest giving those place a try.

Nice rooms, excellent location, just loved it… The only thing, our room smelled a little of cigarettes… But staff were super friendly and helpful in every possible way. Would totally come back.

Very nice desk staff at check-in and check-out. Pretty standard everything for a Hampton Inn. Only complaint is the room windows had so much dirt/residue on them that we could barely see out.

We got here and the front desk staff was incredibly friendly, allowing us an early check in so that we wouldn't have to carry our luggage around with us while waiting. The hotel is very clean, quiet, and the AC works very well at keeping the room incredibly cold. My only complaint, and this is really reaching, is that the windows have some sort of old leftover adhesive or maybe dirt stuck to them which clouds the view of outside.

We stayed here because we were going to Hamilton at the Private Bank Theater and the hotel is right upstairs. Great hotel, clean rooms, nice breakfast buffet. It wouldn't have killed them to have a few more pillows that actually had some substance to them, but I can deal.

I stayed at Hampton Inn overnight for a musical at the PrivateBank Theater the next day. The stay in general was comfortable, and not too bad. I had a few general complaints. I had to wait 10 minutes for someone to show up at the desk for check in. I think the person staffing the desk was in the bathroom; they should make sure someone is always at the desk. What if I needed something and it was important? Some other guests that I presume had already checked in were waiting when I arrived, and got fed up and left in the meantime. When I finally got checked in, we found that two of the four card keys we got didn't work. Luckily, our first try was a busted one so we were able to find which ones were OK. The external antenna on the TV on the room was also not functioning, so I had to unplug it and pull out the stand to change channels. I would stay here again if needed. I didn't have any other issues, but I'd say that after a day of traveling and needing some destressing, the compounding annoyances didn't help. Hampton has a higher chance of being better the next time around; this just wasn't the stress-free experience I expected.

Great location! It's right on top of the Private Bank Theater and an easy 10 minute walk to Michigan Ave and Millennium Park. 4 stars because the room doesn't have a minifridge or safe.

Very close to Grant Park, next door to the theater playing Hamilton! Breakfast included was nice. Not much of a view available because the window has a very thick ledge. But loved the proximity to so much!

We stayed at the Hampton Inn Majestic. Every employee I came in contact with (from Danny the Valet attendant to check in/out and breakfast servers this morning) were wonderful. The room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was really good.

The staff is wonderful! Everyone was kind, courteous, understanding, compassionate and Icould go on and on. The rooms were comfortable. The breakfast is good. Always coffee, hot water, and fruit avalable in the lobby. We stayed because of the proximity to the PrivateBank Theater. After the lay we were able to sit in the lobby area, have coffee and visit for awhile with friends. I would definitely stay there again. Yvette was outstanding as well as the rest of the staff.

Spacious rooms. We were on the 20th floor and the room had very high ceilings. Nice breakfast in a nice space. Very secure.

The staff at the Hampton was friendly and helpful, and the rooms are clean and comfortable. A short distance from my conference hotel (and significant more reasonable), this was a great option for an overnight! I'll be back.

Excellent location and super helpful staff. Given the size and shape of this @1905 theatre-district building, I was pleasantly surprised by the clever way they've managed to squeeze in full floors of spacious and well-appointed rooms. Mine had king-size bed, love seat (plus two storage-ottomans), larger than usual bathroom, a full-size desk and lots of easily accessible power outlets … including an ethernet cable. The main floor lobby holds a simple but comfortable seating/eating lounge directly adjacent to the modest but functional DIY breakfast area. For history buffs, don't miss the spectacular, vintage brass drop-slot mailbox located near the 1st-floor elevators.

Both Hamptons in downtown Chicago are honestly the worst hotels I've ever stayed in. They cannot seem to ever get their things in order. Call for my car, need it in 30, car is not there. Valet proceeds to tell me I didn't call. Next day call for a bell hop to help with bags, no one shows up. I'm late for business seminars 2 days in a row. They try to repair the damage by offering me a free stay. In town on business again and go there. I show up late night, no valet, no bell hop. Doors locked at 11pm. I'm standing in the rain and after 20 minutes someone shows up. They give me my room key, I go up to my room, the key doesn't work. I get another set of keys, those don't work. Someone opens the room and yells at me! They tried to put me in a room that was already occupied?! What?! Unbelievable the level of incompetence, and torture I go through every time I try to stay here. Never again!

Great staff, fantastic breakfast. Room was very comfortable, beds were amazing! If you are going to the theatre can't beat the 10 step walk. Would not hesitate to stay there again. And price for downtown Chicago was unexpectedly low.

Nice chain hotel in downtown. Fresh modern updated rooms in an old building. Pleasant doormen and front desk staff. They do offer room service from two local restaurants as well, makes it easy when getting to the loop Sunday evenings.

We stayed for C2E2 and this hotel was great! Awesome customer service, clean rooms, great location, and very cute place to stay! We are definitely coming back next year!

We took our girls to a R5 concert. A weekend they will never forget! This hotel was the perfect location. I have stayed at many high-end hotels and have never experienced a staff so welcoming and friendly not just one — but all! The valet staff were so nice and helpful! Most of all my daughter fell in love with Howie, the manager, he told our girls to call anytime, big mistake, because they did! He would take the time to come meet them ask them about our night! The girls said wow! This is the nicest place! The rooms were clean. Breakfast was included, it was so nice to come down in the morning talk about our night with a friendly staff and of course, the girls had to see Howie! So many places lack customer service these days! Not here it was top notch! A++++ Thank you for giving our girls a weekend they won't forget!

The building this hotel in is pretty cool. The room I was in was pretty big with comfortable beds and big windows. The bathroom was also a good size. Overall I would say it's a great hotel with a convention location especially for the price. The only draw back is I though the breakfast was a little subpar even for a Hampton inn. The eggs were a bit crusty, but there were plenty of other options and it's free so kind of a wash. I'd come back here again if I needed a hotel in the area.

I have never had a better customer service experience before staying at the Hampton Inn Majestic. Upon arrival the valet kindly and promptly came to our service and directed us to the correct floor to check in (the hotel is above a theatre). The concierge was welcoming, polite, and a fountain of knowledge for nearby attractions. There was also complimentary hot chocolate, tea, and coffee available 24 hours! Another feature we appreciated was the hotel's value for customer security; their elevators can only be operated with a hotel key — — this made us feel very safe. We stayed on the 19th floor and had an amazing view of the city. The room was pristine. There was a closet with a full length mirror door. The bathroom was clean and well-stocked, and the bed was comfortable and warm for the cold January night. The TV even had four channels of HBO! Beside the bed was a charging port with USB connections in case you forgot a wall-plug for your charger. Though we did not use it, the hotel does offer room service from "Italian Village, " a chain of three Italian-style restaurants in Chicago. Every staff member was cheerful, friendly, and always ready to help. I would highly recommend this hotel to anybody who wants to be in the heart of the city or be near Millennium Park and the shopping district. 10/10 would stay again!

This is way above the typical "Hampton Inn" location. The rooms feel luxurious, the staff is top-notch, and the location is excellent. Great furnishings, beautiful bathroom, perfect climate control, and clean. Good internet too. The only thing I can possibly fault it for is that there aren't refrigerators in the room. I also wish for windows that actually open (even a crack) but hardly any hotel seems to have that these days.

We recently stayed at the Hampton Inn Majestic. We arrived early due to a Skype interview scheduled for that day at noon. The staff was extremely helpful and kind. They offered options in case the room was not ready early but actually were able to get us checked in early so the interview could be done in our room. While all staff were extremely helpful and the room was very clean and nice, one employee in particular stood out as going out of his way to be helpful. Angel, who worked the front desk, was extremely helpful! Thank you so much for making our trip to Chicago much better.

Although the location is pretty good, I wouldn't want to stay here. This hotel has two of the features that annoy me the most. One is having to use a key in order to access the guest room floors via the elevator. This is incredibly inconvenient. Combine it with the fact that every other floor has soda or ice and it makes it very annoying to get something you might want. The other thing was that the lobby isn't on the ground floor. Something that I also hate. Now that I think about it as well, the shower was extremely touchy. This made for an extremely funny shower experience where I was going back and forward from the water being icy cold to scalding hot. The bed was nice and though it's not a bad option, there are plenty of other Hilton Hotels in the area that I would rather stay at.

Great location right in the heart of the city, very close to many attractions and parking. If you are smart you will save on parking by utilizing the millenium park underground lot and take the Monroe St. Exit and walk to the hotel 3 blocks down on your left. The room was comfortable and perfect for a weekend stay if you are planning to spend most of your time out and about rather than in your room.

I must say this: What a great staff this hotel has. I mentioned once that we were visiting because of our wedding anniversary. The staff went above and beyond to make our stay extra special. Getting us reservations to restaurants that I had tried and failed to get in. They even got us a happy anniversary card, with some late night snacks and drinks, waiting for us in the room when wet got back after a show we went to. ps. I read some of the "bad reviews" some other people wrote, and they must have been on crack or definitely on another planet. This is a Hampton Hotel franchise and it shows the quality. Marko.

Horrible experience from the moment we walked inside the hotel. My girlfriend and I stayed at this hotel during our first trip in Chicago. We arrived a bit earlier than we thought so we called the hotel to see if we would be able to check in early. The guy said there would be a room ready for us and we could check in as soon as we got there. He was very friendly and helpful! When we arrived at the hotel, a "bellman" started shouting something about how we couldn't check in yet and that our room wasn't ready to be checked in and we needed to stay on the ground floor. First of all, he didn't even greet us or introduce himself, therefore, it felt like some random stranger was just shouting at us when we first walked into the hotel. My girlfriend felt attacked because how does this random bellman know if our room is ready or not? He didn't even ask our names or anything. My girlfriend had just gotten off the phone with the front desk so we knew we could check in. We ignored him and went upstairs to check in anyways. When we got upstairs, we were greeted and checked in. The front desk was very helpful and friendly! They did not give us any trouble about checking in at all. I have no idea what the bellman's problem was or why he felt the need to say and do what he did. Wait, it gets even better. We get breakfast the following morning and there is this obnoxious guy at breakfast.

Great Hotel! It is in a perfect location; within steps of the Blue and Red lines and very close to Grant Park for our trip to Lollapalooza. Everything you need from stores to restaurants nearby. Staff was nice. Room was great, with a high ceiling, and was really well done. Lots of character in this building. I'd recommend it to anyone who wants to visit the city.

Very overrated! Brought my family here during a three day sightseeing trip and it was quite truly a train wreck. Upon check in they had my reservations completely messed up. After a half hour of "discussion" they finally got us into a room. During much of the night we were subject to the noise of college kids partying it up next door. When I went to the front desk there was no night clerk; only an extremely overweight security guard sleeping in the lobby. After the desk clerk finally showed up, she was dressed very unprofessionally and not particularly receptive. It took her three attempts to rouse the security guard who waddled his way upstairs. While his warning to our neighbors brought an end to the party, it did not resolve the situation much. Within 15 mins my family including a 12 year old daughter, got to enjoy listening to a headboard slamming again the wall and rather enthusiastic moaning. (Luckily, the young man in question either lacked skill or stamina so it didn't last long. ) Through bleary eyes we made our way downstairs in the morning to a notably disappointing breakfast. Cold eggs, runny gravy for stale biscuits and wilted fruit salad. The final insult was arriving home at the end of our weekend to find an additional charge of $60 on our credit card. After more unnecessary "discourse" the matter was resolved. Admittedly, none of the items listed above was the end of our trip but they certainly did make it less enjoyable.
