3 days into our 6 day stay the manager tried evicting us at 11 at night, cussing, screaming and swearing at me because we were being “too loud”. We apologized and told him we knew we messed up and sincerely apologized for our wrong doings. He told me “you’ve got 15 minutes to pack your sh*t and get the f*ck out! ” and told us we would not get a refund. I asked him why didn’t we get a warning if we was really being too loud and he point blank said “I don’t need to give you a warning” so the 7 of us FRANTICALLY packed our entire room in 15 minutes, loaded it all in our car and went to hand in our room keys and he told my sister he wouldn’t f*cking talk to her because she wasn’t the one who made the reservation. Also told us in other words we was sh*tty parents because we had two kids with us. He was so arrogant, disrespectful, and degrading. I was able to talk calmly and get it resolved, but he made it very clear that the only reason we was able to stay was because we had a 5 year old and a 7 year old with us. Here we were at midnight unloading our car again. Aside from that huge mishap, the sheets were stained, no maids came to vacuum, no replacement of toliet paper and towels. When we would ask for more, we got crappy attitudes. Worst hotel I’ve ever stayed at and it costed us almost $2, 000 for 6 days.

There were blood and piss stains on sheets and mattress. Lamp shades were burned. Tub would not drain. Put us in a room they were still fixing. Our 4th room was cheaper than the room we booked and I got told there was going to be a refund but it’s been over a week and nothing has came back.

We stayed at The Crystal Beach Hotel over the Memorial Weekend. It was DIRTY AS HELL! I had a very uncomfortable stay. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

On the 3rd floor of the newer hotel. We have a balcony, and is considered partial ocean view, photo attached. There is a mini coffee pot, fridge, microwave, hair dryer etc. All your standard stuff. I especially liked the air conditioner vs anywhere else I've stayed recently. It has an actual thermostat, photo attached, and the unit is on the ceiling by the door, photo attached. It's cold, really cold. And its quiet. You dont even hear it all the way on high. Plenty of outlets in room, closet, dressers. Very clean! The couch area, photo attached, is a pull out bed, but still comfy as a couch. We had no issues here, its quiet and clean for a good price. Plenty of parking made it all that much better.

The review posted by Izzy Fabio is true. The response from the hotel is false. The police were involved but there were no arrests. I apologize in advance for the length of this review but everything that I am writing is 100% true. I have never posted a negative review about any hotel but I had the worst experience with this one which involved the hotel's supervisor named KEVIN. I'll admit that I complained about a few issues with one of my 3 rooms. He was very rude and short with me. After I threatened to file a complaint about him, he was visibly upset. My issues were resolved and I decided to keep the rooms and stay. A few minutes later I received a phone call, from KEVIN, saying that I am being evicted. I asked for an explanation and he refused to give me one. He called the police and said "you know what you did". I asked again what he was referring to. He made up a completely fake story. I couldn't believe what was happening. He also made a remark about English being my second language. During our exchanges I never spoke any language other than English. Perhaps I was not "American" enough to stay here. I apologized, begged, pleaded and nothing worked. I came with my family and we had 6 children with us. He threw all of us out. I asked that if I left, could he please let everyone else stay? He said absolutely not because the reservations were made under my name. The police came quickly. Just a few minutes after he called them. They explained that I had to leave.

Decent hotel for the price. Barracudas was very good, comfy beds, upper level ocean view over a few 2 story buildings, its pretty far from the pier but just a quick tram ride away. Only real drawback is the housekeeping. Not very thorough or reliable.

Nice looking hotel, good amount of parking. Two pools, one right on the boardwalk which was cool. We had a side ocean view that was beautiful. Buffets and plenty of attractions with in walking distance. Hotel is on the high end of the boardwalk. To get to the action you should take the tramcar/ or drive futher down and the walk. But soon as we arrived in the room my allergies flared up very bad. There was black mold spots in the bathroom ceiling. Housekeeping could have done a better job. Not sure if I would stay again!

Nice place for a 2 star hotel. Room was clean and ready when we arrived, check in was fast, bed was comfortable, view was fantastic. Only area needing improvement is housekeeping during the week. It was sporadic and they never had all towels (shower, hand, face cloth, pool) but we eventually got what we needed. They were training summer help so that made things harder. This hotel is almost at the end of the Boardwalk at 25th. If you want closer to the action, this is not the place. Overall we had a fantastic week. Would stay here again.

Newly renovated, clean and attractive decor, very friendly and helpful staff! Love that all rooms have balconies with full or partial view of the ocean. All our requests for additional linen were addressed immediately and delivered to our room within minutes. Small line at check-in time, but we will definitely be staying here again. Also, their rooms with 2 Queens and a pullout double are great for larger families!

Just stayed her in the end of May. Rooms were clean and spacious. Beds were comfy. Love that all rooms include a mini kitchenette This was a huge help especially since I was traveling with 2 children. Kid friendly. We stayed in the older building. The new building is absolutely beautiful. The pool has a 6 inch section if you want to just get your feet wet or have small children that just want to splash around. Only have it 4 stars because housekeeping wasn't great during our stay and the envelopes left for housekeeping tips were unprofessional. They had 3 or 4 different names of current housekeeper on the envelope crossed off or scribbled out. Same thing in my sister's room rite next to ours. I just thought it wasn't nice or good for business. Putting out a new envelope with only 1 name on it looks better. Also our trash sat outside the door for almost 2 days before it was picked up. So that is another reason for the 4 stars. Other then that it was a pretty quiet place. The lobby staff were friendly. Rates were pretty affordable for the time of year we went and I would definitely stay there again with the kids and family.

It was my first time in OCM and this hotel helped make it an amazing trip. Newly renovated rooms, great food, convenient parking, and such nice staff. What more can you ask for! The highlight of the trip was definitely eating at their restaurant “Barracudas Bar and Grill". The wood featured wall behind the bar displays such great decorations that go with the beach theme. The pizza… one of THE BEST I have had and I come from New York. You honestly can’t go wrong with a place that provides great food and exceptional service to their guest. I highly recommend and will be visiting again soon.

We were treated very poorly by the manager, Kevin. We complained about a multitude of things that were wrong with our room including the air conditioner which was not working, towels left on our balcony that room service did not clean up before our arrival along with an empty bag of what looked like drug paraphernalia on the balcony which our 2 year old touched. The air conditioner was fixed but when we spoke to the manager about all of these issues he immediately got defensive and said, "What do you want me to do about it" My husband said he wasn't looking for a hand out but I WAS because I believe we deserved to be compensated in some way for the inconvenience and poor service. However Kevin, the manager said that he didn't think we deserved any compensation and refused to give us the name of the owner of the establishment. We came to this hotel with hopes to have a good time with our children for my birthday and the way we were treated completely ruined the whole trip.

The staff has been outstanding, so friendly and helpful! The food at the restaurant was great, the rooms were nice. It would be nice if there a comfortable chair or 2 in the room to sit in, but other than that we were very happy. There were 2 chairs and a small table in the room, the chairs just weren't that comfortable is all. We had an oceanfront room with a balcony and a couple of chairs, which was nice. The weather sucked, so we didn't try the pools, they had 2, both looked nice! We'll be back!

Convenient to convention center. Odd cafeteria room for breakfast. Looked worn like it had been built pretty recently but not pristine in upkeep. Our room was clean and adequate. Loved the little balcony off our room with a partial ocean view.

I would give 5 stars if it were not because it does not have breakfast, but the rooms are very nice and they are friendly at reception.

Check-in was quick. Staff was very friendly. Rooms were very nice. Hotel was quiet and we got really good rest while we were staying there. The view is beautiful right next to the boardwalk. I would definitely come back and I plan on it.

Our room was just as big and clean as the rooms at the other bigger chain hotels where we usually stay. We had two queen beds, a sofa bed, with a balcony and partial ocean view! very clean I might add, nice clean bathroom, big tv, mini fridge, micro, ironing board. The hotel staff were so nice and helpful! They have two outside pools. I was disappointed there was no indoor pool but there is a community indoor pool up the road for a small extra fee.

Not only was the hotel in a a perfect location, it was outstanding. Very clean, tastefully decorated, great amenities, warm, and the staff was extremely friendly. Two thumbs up for this hotel! I can't wait for my next visit! The ocean view from the balcony was amazing.

On check in the Male staff member was surly. Looked at his computer screen the whole time he was talking to us. They do have elevators which helped with luggage. We got an oceanfront room so the view was wonderful. The room as well as the hotel was a little run down. Although they advertise they have a kitchenette there is nothing in it. Just 2 coffee cups with the stickers still on them so they have never been washed and nothing there to wash them with. They do give you prepared coffee but we laughingly called it the coffee flavored water. Fortunately I brought coffee. Our room wasn't cleaned well as evidenced by the dead bug in the bathroom on our arrival and after they allegedly cleaned. Then they leave an envelope on the desk with a note asking for a tip! The bed was hard as a rock and the sheet barely fit with no mattress pad. For what they charge per night I expected a lot more. I loved the area but won't stay there again!

Kevin the front desk manager is friendly even with New Yorkers, I arrived with a bunch of Cheerleaders. He immediately ask if I wanted to move and upgrade my rooM at no charge. He told me about s good Mexican restaurant. In the evening it got cold, I ask for blankets within 15 minutes I had them. Nice exercise room. 2 swimming pools. It was to cold for outdoor. March 8th. He even reserved a spot for me to park my bus at no charge. I will bring my family up here in June. Crystal Beach Hotel, good prices, nice and clean. Thanks brother Kevin your new friend G7

Microwave looks like something exploded in it & ceiling above shower looks like it has asbestos on it. Just got here & can't wait to leave. Don't stay here! If it wasn't cold I'd sleep in my truck. Front desk staff sucks! Will NEVER return to crystal Beach.

I can say that the gentleman that booked Us and got us set up with a room was absolutely the most polite welcoming caring wonderful hostess however the housekeeping and the overnight worker slept in a chair complained about people interrupting his TV Time by calling the office or coming into request items I was cussed for asking for an ice bucket and spent 2 hours trying to get assistance from housekeeping my first impression was I would never visit another hotel in that area again however after being treated so poorly by the overnight worker and housekeeping I'm not sure that I will ever visit there again the gentleman that checked us in deserves to be assisted by employees that are the same as himself.

We booked thru booking. Com and when we showed up, we didn't get the room we planned on due to the hotel having extra guest who they had to move from another location. Because we really wanted the room we booked (an ocean view) Kevin at the desk and another lady who's name I missed, went above and beyond to switch us to another location at their other hotel, and were completely understanding and apologetic. It actually turned out to be even better for us. So since we did not stay here I can only review the customer service alone and I give them 5 stars for that!

My wife and I stay here when it is just the two of us. When we have our bigger extended family of 10-12 people we go to The Coronet Apartments. Crystal Beach is a quaint little hotel. My wife and I find it charming. The price is great. It is well decorated. The housekeeping staff is always quick to fulfill any request. It's clean, good location, nice staff.

I have no complaints. I had a very good experience. Afraid of finding bed bugs and other nasty habits in hotel room I stopped at Walmart and bought pillow cases and bed sheets of my own. (Which I returned because I did not need to use them. ) When me and my family arrived staff was very nice and helpful. The rooms where clean and new. I would recommend this place and I will def. Return. Thank you for great weekend.

The first room we were given was in the boardwalk building. I was not impressed by the lobby of the boardwalk building. There was moldy ice stuck in the ice machine and the floors were not clean. The room they put us in was very dirty and was not maintained very well. Even my 7 yr old son was grossed out by the room! We immediately went back to the front desk and asked to switch rooms to the newer building. The lady at the front desk was very helpful and accommodating! Our 2nd Room in the Baltimore building was excellent! Very clean! You could tell that it was the new. We had a few issues. While staying there our safety latch somehow got shut after we excited our room so we could not get back in when we returned. We had to have maintenance get into our room from the room next door and unlatch the safety latch. I don't know what they would have done had our room not been adjoining to the room next door. I thought that this was very odd. They said that it was probably not opened up completely and the draft from the door being shut forced it shut. Seems odd to me that this could even happen! The other issue was that the water pressure in the shower was horrible! Based on these things I would not stay at this hotel again. I do want to say that the staff was very helpful and friendly! If you do stay at this hotel make sure to ask for the Baltimore building.

The hotel is beautiful! I initially booked a Jacuzzi room but I didnt like the view so I switched to a standard! Both rooms were beautiful & very clean. Good cable selections. I like the fact that they have balconies! Definitely would book here again! Front desk was very professional!

Stayed here for 3 nights during Cruising week. Stayed in original building on the boardwalk. First the good. Location is excellent, right on the boardwalk and 25th street close to everything. Rooms are spacious and well equipped with a flat screen TV, mini fridge coffee maker etc. Beds are comfortable. Everything worked well and I had no issues with water pressure or the A/c unit as other reviewers had. The price of the rooms was very reasonable especially mid-week but was about double for Friday night. Now the bad. The hotel is old and you can tell, carpet is frayed and faded, even the Floor Tile in the elevator is badly worn. The only issues I had, and they seem to be common complaints is 1/ not enough towels. We had 2 med bath towels and 2 tiny face towels in our room. It was only myself and my wife so it was not a disaster but the rooms are made for 4 ppl so they clearly should have more. I called the front desk to ask for more and he said "I'll pass along your request to housekeeping" but each day we got the same allotment. (On my last day I saw a guest in the room across the hall carrying about 4 towels into his room — — wish I had thought of that) 2/ When I arrived the check in guy (check in is in the other building) gave me two room cards. Get to my room and they wont open the door.

Booked the place last minute for fairly cheap during cruising weekend. Figured for the price it wouldn't be great but boy was I wrong. The beds were great the rooms were clean. Great location. Nothing to complain about at all. We will be back. Thank you crystal beach.

Too nice and the rooms are pretty comfortable and spacious.

Great location, close to the beach. Easy parking and check in. Service is not so good — we asked for an extra towel and sheets as we are 5 in the room, but did not get them. Restaurant is actually a bar with limited sitting. Cannot set room temperature. No extra towels at the pool or the gym. Pool is small and divided so there's a part for babies which is nice.

By far one the best service I have ever received! Mario and the entire staff was beyond accommodating, they made sure all 14 of us had a great time and we will definitely return! Make sure you go see Bobby at the bar for one of his amazing adult beverages!

Staying in this hotel 3 nights. Got a normal Bay view room. We got to check in an hour early! (3pm) The room was perfect for 4 people. They beds were comfy. The couch pulled out into a bed so you can have 3 beds and no extra charge. Room service is kind of lacking if you have a request. We were in the new building, the A. C. Is built into the roof and even had a nice climate control. The view was very nice and right above the newer pool. The Bar and Grill had very good food. The staff we encountered was very friendly.

DONT STAY HERE! The staff is friendly but the place is gross. Mold in the bathrooms, cock roaches on the floor, bugs everywhere, there was construction going on from building another hotel so there was nothing but noise and the balcony view was horrible. You pay all this money and they don't offer breakfast or any kind of room service (not like you would want to eat there anyway after seeing how dirty it was) … it's far from the heart of the boardwalk, at least 20 blocks. Please look into something else before considering this place.

Don't stay at this hotel. We paid over three hundred dollars for a beach front view. The patio balcony was a cage. We could not see the beach at all. The staff was extremely rude. Horrible experience! The water was ice cold while taking a shower. It took forever for repairs. Save your money and pick a better place.

Couldn't check in till 4pm. When we got our room it was literally 5 steps away from the front desk. The plumbing was very loud anytime you ran water. The matress made mine and my boyfriend's lower back hurt because it was so stiff. Oh and did I mention the 276$ fine we got for my boyfriend smoking out on the balcony one time! Even though you were allowed to smoke right outside their doors which again was only five steps away from our room. We were told we could get a fine for smokey not that we were going to get one. Till the day after we left my credit card was charged. Dont think we'll be staying here again for the price we had to pay.

We stayed at crystal beach hotel for one night, in the jacuzzi room which had a mini fridge and microwave, the hotel room was super clean and for the Sunday price it was definitly worth it. It was quite a hike from the pier, almost 2 miles but not a bad walk. The front desk women and gentleman were all super friendly when we arrived early to park, and checked in alittle early. I would have given this a 5 but our room was right off the front desk which was alittle odd. But honestly not a big deal. We would definitly stay again!

My family and I spent the weekend at Crystal Beach in Ocean City, MD. Once arrived, the staff was very pleasant. The parking garage was extremely tight but we managed to get in and out. Once we arrived to our room and opened the door, it was clean. Didn't get ocean front but we had ocean view. I asked not to be put on the side with construction and that was honored. Thanks to reading the reviews before booking to know it was a construction site directly next door. The only thing I didn't like was there was NO telephone in the room to call downstairs for more blankets. But all and all, my family and I enjoyed our stay and would stay again at the Crystal Beach Hotel. Good job staff!

When yame hotel and ask wing person who answers the phone if someone Spanish abla told me that we are in the United States that here is English abla and short I call what I can say is that it is a hotel which has poor service and person with that attitude should not be working in a place like this I ablo both languages on Saturday, may 28 12 10 am at night time.

The service was great, I really enjoyed the stay.

For the price the hotel is unbeatable! Under 100$ a night for an ocean view. The rooms are not brand new but they are well maintained and clean.

The hotel seems like it has seen better days. But okay for a weekend at the beach.

Front desk receptionist was extremely rude and obnoxious when I complained that Oceanview room I booked does not have any Ocean view from the room, One had to walk to the balcony to see the partial Ocean. I checked in on 5/9/2015 at 5PM. I stayed in many properties at OC never seen so bad service anywhere. Not recommended, if you are looking for nice clean place.

We stay here 2 nights in Aug of '15. We picked it for location, value and good reviews. Very good, clean, friendly, not noisey. Attached parking garage. It is on boardwalk, and busy in summer.

The place is a dump… dirty water in tub wouldn't go down the drain… bathroom filthy with mold on ceiling and smelled nasty, couch was filthy carpet filthy… microwave to small for food floor mopped with dirty water, very unsanitary. What do the maids do? never ever again worst place I've stayed in my whole life. And I stayed in many hotels just awful we left a day early just to get out of there.

I don't even give this horrible place a 1 star but I have to! Was just there the other day and the front desk lady was nothing but rude and nasty. You would think if people are going to your place of business with their money, you would treat them with the upmost respect guess not, I will NEVER be back to this filth of a place they call a friendly beach motel. Highly disguest.

I stayed at Crystal Beach for the summer of 2013 for a family vacation. The room had a excellent Oceanview, it was very spacious comfortable and cleanly. The staff was friendly and accommodating. It has a private pool in the back and the beach/boardwalk is literally 10 feet away.

Horrible just horrible. Dirty rooms, greasy carpet and anyone can just walk in to the hotel without being questioned. Our room was next to the fire exit door and you could here people walking in and out all night long. My experience was very bad. Honestly doesn't deserve a star.

The employee are nasty and they promise you things they cant give you. Dont go there. The rooms have things falling apart in them.

Just came from july 4th vacation. The staffs were friendly, and it was very nice that so close to the beach. this is a quieter board walk, just hotels near by. If you want the excitement, you have to go to 25 blocks down. pros: beach cons: dirty carpets, old mattress over all it was ok.

Nice place for the price. If you want upscale look elsewhere. But a really nice place to stay. Oceanfront view was awsome.

Here is the deal. If you are looking for a luxury hotel like the Hilton, then stop reading this and look for another hotel. This is a BASIC two star hotel. Absolutely nothing is high class here. The place is clean. Ocean view is wonderful even in most side rooms. Unmatched beach access. Quiet. Large rooms and balconys. North side of boardwalk — not many shops or food up here. But if you like the quiet then the short walk or tram ride is worth it. Bed is terrible. I mean the matress is like sleeping on springs. I would stay here again though.
