Stayed in room 174 and it was dirty smelly and hot. Found a bedbug running straight at me on the bed covers. Let the desk know. I was told I’d receive a call from the owner. That was 2 days ago. There was no real concern about people having to deal with bedbugs after leaving the hotel. I am thankful I noticed them before we infested our home.

Great space for large meetings, but catering needs a new planner… keep running out of food items, placement setup impractical.

The hotel is reasonably priced and it's about a three star hotel in fairness my room was clean and the staff was very friendly and even took their time to walk me around find an ATM lunch time I let my daughter take a quick swim because there wasn't very many people in the pool and everybody that was walking around we're wearing masks at those who were seated but I wouldn't recommend using the pool at night because there looked to be at least a hundred people in the swimming pool area of walking around without mask the meal and the lounge was tasty and it was good service and more than fair price I would come back here again.

Great place to stay! Quiet rooms, decent bed. Spacious rooms. And recently updated. And the pool is awesome too.

Very dirty. No housekeeping. Hair all over bathroom, trash and food under both beds, chunks of dirt on floors, complimentary lotions all open from previous renters, hot tub doesnt work, chains on door installed wrong and wont work. Dog friendly though.

Had a very good time, rooms were clean and amazing, pool was indoor and very big and clean. Housekeeping were on their toes. Hotel Manager was amazing at helping us out as well. Enjoyed our 8 night stay and will definitely be coming back in the near future.

I WAS STOLEN FROM AND THE HOTEL REFUSED TO DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT! The managers lied for the cleaning lady who stole from me and refused to call me back or give me the time of day. It’s DISGUSTING! Don’t stay here if you want to walk out with your belongings!

We did not feel safe staying here! Read the other reviews before booking. We didn’t check them, and wish we had! There were no cars in the front parking lot and the main entrance was closed, so we check in next door. The clerk there took out a map to show us where our room was. She said the exit door closest to our room doesn’t work, so park down by the next door and go through that way to the hall. The lot she told us to park in was completely empty. We went through the door she indicated, which we thought would have a key swipe lock in it. It has no lock, so anyone could enter at any time. The stairwell we had to walk through looked like it was being used for storage. We walked down a dimly lit, musty smelling hallway with stained carpet to our room. The room itself seemed like it had been cleaned, but still smelled musty. We also checked out the atrium and pool area, which looked really cool in the photos online. It was very dark and pretty deserted, although we could hear people talking on the other side of the area. We just didn’t feel safe staying there with it being so deserted and open to anyone entering. The fact that there was no front desk staff made it even worse. The movie The Shining could easily have been filmed there!

Amazing stay so far! Huge rooms and nice restaurant.

I booked this hotel based on pictures I saw on Booking. Com. Well let me tell you this is NOT a place I would ever stay or recommend. We showed up and one car was parked in the lot with the main entrance caution taped off and a small sign saying to check in at the adjoining hotel (Aspire) so we went over there and asked to see the room before we were stuck paying for a hotel that looked deserted. So I had to drive back over and we walked in through a stairwell access door to a hallway that looked like something out of a horror movie. Eerily quite, not a single car parked at this entrance, no TV noise, no one at the pool which looked dirty and nasty anyway, and then the long hall with poor lighting and stained carpet with musty mildew smell. We decided to go check the room anyway so we opened the door to dirty carpeting, dirty grouting on the tile bathroom floor outdated bathroom filthy moldy looking tub and stained sheets on the beds and the sliding glass door wasn't able to be opened to access the pool area. Plus there was no one else around so if anything happened or we needed help we would have to drive to the adjoining hotel to their front desk since Eisenhower front desk was unavailable and their "ballroom was being painted" Needless to say we drove back over handed the desk staff the room key back and told her we weren't checking in and weren't interested in staying and we left.

This place needs to be Updated. Fix A/Cs all over, the air quality in pool area was stifling, the linen…, Not handicap accessible, dangerous bathtub and they need to hire more employees to accommodate abundant groups. The workers we experienced were helpful & pleasant.

I have never stayed in such a filthy and unsafe room. Faucet pulling from the bathroom sink. Dust and dirt all over. Electrical outlet pulling from the wall. Hole in wall. Toilet wouldn’t flush properly. Found a random pink pill on floor by mini fridge that I had to throw away immediately. Couldn’t check out fast enough this morning. Was supposed to stay tonight as well, but cancelled and found another room elsewhere. Manager was too busy to talk to me, so I left my name and number. I am sure I won’t hear from him. Appalled.

Disgusting, apparently dog friendly, room not ready, 4 hours room still not ready when check in was at 3! Never recommend this hotel!

First of all this hotel is not in town or really near anything. If you plan on staying here you will have to have a car as Uber is not reliable. The hotel was not in very good condition. The hallways were extremely hot and humid. The carpets were threadbare. They had cones marking off parts of the hotel with signs that said "do not enter. " The swimming pool was an Atrium style but had missing panels and water was coming in as it rained. The hot tub was blocked off with police caution tape. There was a bar at the pool but it was not stocked and clearly no one had worked it in a long time. As for the gift shop it was closed the entire weekend when I was there. I wanted to ask someone at the front desk about the opening hours, but no one was ever at the front desk. I mean literally ever. You had to go to the property next door to check in and apparently that's the only place they kept staff. When I called to the front desk next door I was told that their employee quit so the gift shop would not be open for the entire weekend. With the gift shop closed there was nowhere to get any kind of drinks just like a Coke or anything. There was a restaurant but it did not open until 5. The breakfast buffet was a pitiful display of a breakfast buffet. The entire room felt like something from a 1975 movie set. Sorely in need of updating. The rooms felt dingy and dirty and not a place you really want to sleep. I would never go back to this hotel.

Where to start! The accommodations adequate, however after losing power for part of the evening evidently some guests did not have electricity so the staff moved some of them to another building. The problem is the staff moved with them! We were not asked to move to another building, not notified there would be no staff in the building we were in until the following day. To abandon guests, with portions of the building without lights and electricity? I'm pretty certain that might be breaking a few laws. We were given an apology, not offered compensation in any way. Needless to say even though we visit the area quite often that will not be on our list of places to stay again.

This hotel is a little run down, but under active renovation. Great pool, great beds. No view, a little bit of a musty smell. Breakfast was good. But it has everything you need if you're not into you bed and breakfasts.

It was me and my husband 4th year anniversary. I booked this hotel because it had everything I was looking for. It was nice and quiet the entire stay. What I didn't like about the hotel was the breakfast and the breakfast area. Very out dated. The bathroom in the room needs some upgrades as well. Nice room right off the pool. I loved the fact that I could open the sliding door and walk right out to the pool and garden. Was told they was working on both hotels. I would stay again if I could get the rooms around the pool. Need new games in the game room as well. I liked the fact they had Mrs. Packman one of my all time favorite games as a child. Hopefully the next time I visit the hot tub will be up and running and the areas that need upgrades will be done. Had a wonderful time. Thanks Eisenhower Hotel. I will be returning with my husband and the kid's next time.

Unfortunately, we did not get to spend the night here, but they informed us that there was water damage when we arrived, and upgraded us to a room at the aspire hotel. The hotels are connected, so we still had use of the amazing indoor pool area, and had the complimentary breakfast. The breakfast was much better than something you would get at a standard hotel, but probably could use a few more options such as fruit and bagels. The room was a fairly nice hotel room, slightly dated, but comfortable. The mattresses could use an upgrade for sure.

I generally don’t leave bad reviews. I gave a 2star rating to be nice. I’m sure 20 yrs ago this was a gorgeous hotel, but now it’s a sinking ship. Lack of maintenance is a serious issue. Court yards gardens are over grown, and falling apart. A/c is not working in all sections of the hotel, no ice machines work, cleaning service is inconsistent and unreliable, hot tube not working, hot water temperature for shower is not regulated probably (a small child could be seriously burned). Dog waste cans haven’t been emptied in along time. I just don’t think there is enough work-staff to properly run this hotel. I will not be staying here in the future. Just my two cents.

The overall appearance of this hotel immediately disappointed me. Lamps were broken, walls were stained, and our door even had holes in it. (see attached photos). The latch-lock inside our room was broken, so we were unable to provide extra safety for the belongings we left in our room. The rooms had an old look to them, which didn't really bother me, but might be bothersome to other people. The whole theme to this hotel was that this was probably an awesome hotel in the 70s, but no one has done anything to maintain, update, or repair since then. The bathroom fixtures appear to be original. The front lobby had new, modern furniture with a trendy color palette. I am assuming that they will be improving other spaces because all the way down the main hall to the lobby were tons of boxes that were labeled as hotel supplies and maybe furniture. However, I found this very tacky to have the hallways cluttered as such. We saw a few dozen mattresses in the dumpster outside, so likely they recently replaced them. Ours was comfy, but the sheets were too small and kept coming off in the night. They should have sprung for new sheets with deeper pockets with new mattresses. Two other things that were just awful to behold: the side door to the back parking lot had a stick in the bottom propping it open (see photo) because the card reader by the door didn't work. It made me feel very unsafe. Also, our wing had sliding doors that opened to a center patio shared by rooms on the same floor.

1 star is over rating this place! Worst place I have ever been to. Nothing compared to what was depicted on its website. No one at front desk to facilitate check in. Had to go to the Aspire hotel to do so. Dirty and moldy areas, potato chips on and behind night stand. Dirty cup on floor. Requested a room change as it appeared this one had not been properly cleaned. The next one wasn’t any better! And I had to go to other hotel desk yet again to swap out the door card keys.
Towels were shabby. No towels at pool side. None of the places were open within the hotel. Super desolate. The breakfast was barely lukewarm… and tablecloths on table were dirty. Chairs had crumbs all over them.
In its day it may have been a great place but as of today it’s NASTY! Would never recommend this place.

Motel staff was not present for the MAJORITY of our stay here. The front desk was empty, with a sign that simply told you to go to the "aspire desk" if you needed anything (no phone number or information where it was). When we did see hotel staff, we requested an additional towel (we had booked for 4 people and they only gave us 3 towels) and they said they would get it to us right away. Fast forward to the next day and (after several reminders/requests) we still never got any more towels. We came back from a day out and there was no sign a maid had come to any of the rooms or attempted to clean anything. There were boxes lining the hallway to our room and, looking at old reviews, they've been there for months. The breakfast is fine, the facilities are fine, but whoever took over management does NOT understand or care that they have two motels and therefore should have staff at BOTH properties.

Just outside of Gettysburg there are two hotels joined. The Eisenhower at first look seems rather drab but under the premis of getting a newly renovated room at such a low price with a sliding glass door leading to the pool, it was a no brainier. You walk in and the main entrance has been updated but you can still smell the mustiness of the hotel. We check in at the joining hotel and get our room. When we opened the door we were greeted with a big punch of wet carpet and old furniture smell. The beds were worn out and the sheet on one kept coming off because the mattress was ripping at the seams, everything was outdated, and the door leading to the pool didn't have a lock and the safety bar was just barely held on securing the door. The TV was an old CRT and the cable hardly worked. The room was just not worth any amount of money. The pool area, while also extremely outdated loaded with cheap pool chairs and overly plush chairs in the eating area, it was decent. The pool was clean, and they kept turning on the water to cool it down. Thank goodness this was just a one night stay. If ever we get the promised renovated room, I wouldn't mind returning for another random night to get my family in the pool again.

Good place, currently they are remodeling the rooms and catching up on years of neglect. They are aiming to recapture their previous opulence. Staff are friendly and helpful. Rooms are clean. I’m looking forward to returning in October.

I'm stuck here this year because of my obligation to my position, but I will never stay at this location ever again. From the time I walked into the room I was confronted with filth, no drapes at the windown, no proper bedding, a stench of paint along with must and mildew that employees were spraying up and down the halls to try and cover up the bad odor. One person in our group was able to change rooms but the nice portion of the hotel was booked and they opened up this area to make money rather than keep this closed and turn business away. You can not open the windows to get fresh air as they quickly painted the windows shut and removed the cranks. The carpets are all stained, dumpsters block the handicap parking, there is garage everywhere outside the property. Grass and weeds grow up along the curbs, there is no maintenance crews that can be seen, lot of parking but the lines are so close it is hard to get in or out of your vehicles. They must think the people that attend the conventions held here must be pigs as they try to pack us in with no regards to safety. Talking to the front desk was like talking to the wall. I hope that they appreciate all the help I will be giving them in the form of free advertisement on facebook as I have already posted well over 50 pictures of the filth not only in my room but also the immediate area. This may never get posted as a review but the pictures have been posted of Facebook and are being shared.

This is an interesting hotel. It seems it is 2 hotels that were renovated and combined. End result is a huge, family friendly, resort. Huge indoor pool. Lots of kids but I think that's the point. Good location right in Gettysburg. Prices were best in Gettysburg.

Not the very worst place I've stayed but a dated and sad place. Reminded me of the Overlook Hotel in The Shining. Built by a local developer who passed away and then this property sat in probate court for years. It was once nice apparently. New owners are updating slowly but I would be embarrassed to call this my own. The boxes of ceiling tiles in the main hallway to my room were a prime example. Just no effort. And just put down a few yards of mulch out front and repaint the lobby entrance. Curtains in the room were a complete joke. Bathroom was very dated and could have used a good scrubbing. New furniture in the room and an odd linoleum floor. Bad TV reception. It sits of out of town a ways and there is a hotel bar open late to try to forget that you paid $71 to stay there. Locals like it for the indoor pool. Out of town folks stay here because they don't know any better despite mediocre reviews here and elsewhere.

Do not waste your time or money. We booked two nights there but left shortly after walking into our room. The bathroom was dirty; the floors were wet, and the toilet had hairs on it. Our bed's box spring had blood stains, and the sheets were stained. The pool area looked gross. We left about an hour after check-in, but the hotel refused to give any refund. We weren't going to stay a night here with two children. I used to stay here over ten years ago, but the place has declined. Please save yourself from the frustration of booking this place.

This place is horrible, from dirty hallways to a very rude manager. Our very large group was promised breakfast vouchers during our stay only to be renegged on at the last moment forcing us to either pay $10 for their breakfast if we wanted a cup of coffee or driving 5 miles away from our event to get a morning cup of coffee. The first day of our 4 day stay was marred by no hot water throughout the hotel for over 24 hours too construction materials creating a hazard throughout the hotel. All in all, very poor to zero service, dirty accommodations. The only brought spot was the his staff who did an outstanding job of offering a clean as possible room.

Great location beautiful facility, staff was very helpful and professional. Ballroom is gorgeous. Has spoken with customers that were completely satisfied with their stay. Impressive venue.

The place has recently come under new ownership and is in the process of remodel. The bathrooms are older and need some care. The rooms are certainly improving. The staff is pleasant anf kind to the huge group we have for a yearly event. It is evident the rooms are being remodeled and things are happening to improve the guest experience in the rooms and in the pool area. I would say In a couple years this place will be looking and running well again. Price isnt bad at all for the area. I have definitely paid more to stay in worse places.

Decent hotel in gettysburg. Reasonable rates. Room was cold upon arrival. Heated up with AC unit running.

Price was great but the exterior entry to our hallway had trash spilling onto the ground. The exterior door to the inside of the hotel was unlocked and had debris blown inside evidently. The manager was very nice but didn't stay and requested a refund.

Okay venue for conventions attempting to gain traction. Rooms seem a bit over priced, as well as their food and drink. It has a much older feel to it and hasn't been modernized. Lot's of parking though, and their events room is rather large too.

Stayed here for Chess Convention 3/2/18, never again! Tear this place down as it is that bad. Unorganized doesn’t even begin to describe having to go through 5 room changes to finally have a room with 2 beds with a working bathroom that does not smell horribly. The staff are nice but clueless. The rooms are dirty like they are in need of a working vacuum and some serious scrubbing, beds are like sleeping on dirty plywood with STAINED MATTRESSES comparing it to a nasty dirty gym socks for sheets and blankets and tv’s that barely work. I don’t recommend this hotel to anyone! Even the breakfast buffet was a disaster as there was a line out the door and a find your own seating system. People jumping in seats as soon as you stand up even if you’re not done! 45 minutes in line and trying to find seating, Complete fail! Manager no where to be found and no apologies given. Go somewhere else!

Very out dated and creepy, the pool is really warm but it was also creepy and the water smelled as old as the pool and trust me the pool is old looking lol and also there roof was leaking like everywhere! There was no one at front desk! Ok now time for the bathrooms the sinks are really gross and talk about old and creepy! I seen some of the rooms and they look the same really out dated, now I say I looked in some of the rooms because I didn't actually stay there I stayed at the Aspire hotel which is way better our double king room was amazing! (. I do not recommend you stay at the eisenhower hotel)

My boyfriend and another couple and I stayed here in July 2017. Honestly we stayed here because we were in for the Gettysburg Reenactment and hotels were either booked or too far away. This place seemed almost the closest to the Reenactment site so I figured it was worth a try for one night. Everything was fine. I actually loved the old look to the hotel. The only issue was that we had to wait for the one front desk staff to return when we checked in at night and we had to go to their sister hotel in the same parking lot to check out (which really was no bother at all). I LOVED how the pool/atrium area looked and would've loved to have spent more time in there as it is in the center of the hotel. Breakfast was decent and in a giant room that looks like it probably held weddings/conferences. We had a refrigerator, microwave and coffee pot in our room. The refrigerator was great to have to keep cold drinks in since it was July. The room was clean and the beds were fine and the air conditioner in the room worked.

We stayed here during a visit to Gettysburg. We visited during a high tourist time, so the rates were higher than they normally are. They offer breakfast as well as what they call a dinner buffet. The food was good, but an all you can eat dinner would be a better description. The first day we paid for our beverages but the second day the beverage was included. The breakfast was good both days. The rooms are ok.

We arrived on 12/29 for the New Year's celebration, there are 12 of us with pool side rooms… when we arrived the temp outside was 27 degrees, inside the hallways & pool area, it was 55 degrees! It is now 12/31 & it is STILL freezing! We begged the front desk for heat, heaters are a disgrace & nonfunctional, maintenance is also nonfunctional! They ran warm water in the pool for 5 min… you can't swim & you can't hang poolside because you'll freeze! They finally broke out a small propane powered jet heater… ONE, for this huge atrium! If a code inspector came, he'd close this place down! The place is dated, the breakfast buffet is subpar, no towels, broken curtains, ripped bedspreads… we keep referring to this place as the Overlook Hotel from The Shining! I do not recommend this place… ANYWHERE else would be better! Stayed at Super 8 down the road in November in a Jacuzzi suite for $75/night… you would be much happier!

Our room in the Aspire was very nice! The beds were absolutely yummy and the room was very clean. It was very convenient to the events we were attending at the conference center. The breakfast buffet could use a bit of help. Overall a very nice place to stay!

We stayed there October 13-15. Room overlooked the pool. Very loud. People swimming at midnight. This was the only hotel I've ever stayed at that didn't make the beds. Given one bar of soap to be used both in the shower and the sink. Big hole in the lampshade. Floor didn't look like it was properly vacuumed. Free breakfast was decent.

This hotel risked my health and safety. It is literally the worst hotel I've ever been at in my entire life, and this is the first review I have ever written because I feel that I need to warn people. It was absolutely filthy to the point where I am now washing every item of clothing that I took with me because of the smell that remains on everything. One of the wash cloths I was provided had a stain on it that appeared to be blood. Several of the people in our group didn't even have hot water, and I had to leave the water running for more than ten minutes before it became warm. I almost ended up sleeping in my car, and on my way out of the room I discovered a roach crawling along the wall. I have been feeling sick all today the day after staying at this hotel. For safety every exterior door to the hotel is unlocked so anyone can enter the hotel, and without anyone at the front desk there is nothing stopping anyone from entering. It is completely unsupervised. There were people wandering around and making noise at the pool in the middle of the night. In addition to the people making noise at the pool both during regular hours and when the pool was "closed", the pump from the pool was making a noise every couple of minutes that kept me awake since many of the rooms overlook the indoor pool. It is unbelievable that I was charged $119 + tax per night at this hotel, and that was considered to be a group rate.

Absolutely horrible experience for the price! Never again! I don't even know where to begin. From the complete miscommunication of the staff for check-in to the courtyard looking like a third world war zone. Everything in between, including the price, isn't worth mentioning. Hate hate hate this place! Should be ashamed for using the names of our nation's great generals in such filth!

Where to start? First, you have to go to a different hotel to register. It would help if you were told that with the conformation. Then there are 2 computers at the registration desk, but each only processes one hotel. So if there are 5 people in line for the Eisenhower Hotel, and none for the other, the other desk clerk cannot register you. What a waste! Then you find out that there is no complimentary dinner, since there is new management, there is only a complimentary breakfast. The room was dusty, the upholstery badly stained (to the point that I put a towel on the chair to sit down. The wallpaper was beginning to tear from the wall and the paint was badly chipped on the baseboard. The only really good thing about the room was that the AC worked. Which was a good thing, because it was 90 degrees that day! Since there is a restaurant I figured I would have dinner there instead of driving back into town. Big mistake. There is a very limited menu… maybe 10 or so items. I was seated in the bar area because the restaurant proper was "booked for a private party" I was told. Before my meal even came some one put on the jukebox which was so loud I could not hear myself think. I ordered the chicken Marsala and a salad. The salad was worse looking than what I could get at a fast food place, and the main dish did not look very appetizing. I couldn't even finish it. The cost for this mess… almost $20. The breakfast was another mess.

Outdated, rundown and unkempt. Hotel was understaffed and in desperate need of maintenance — There was a gun show and coin show going on there this weekend which must be what keeps them afloat. The accommodations were less than expected for the rate we paid for our room — $159. We booked at the last minute and really paid a penalty as there were no other options. Room was outdated and dark — bathroom was gross — they could barely spare one tiny bar of soap for two sinks and a tub — and minimal towels. There were also some weird stains on our room door. You would think they would wipe those down or repaint them if they looked that bad. I didn't want to touch anything. Ancient TV with a bad picture. I couldn't wait to leave.

I am sorry I had to give a star at all for my rating! The worst customer service known to man kind! We had a booking problem. Our reservation was booked wrong online. When we repeatedly called the hotel five minutes after our booking and one day during the work week, later to fix the problem, they refused to help make the problem right. They blamed us and told us to not take their time up on the phone even though we already paid as a customer. The lady manager seems to not understand people skills at all. They were not understanding at all for a family trying to plan a trip with three kids! Save your money and time by avoiding this place. Customer service is everything. If they can't rectify a simply problem how can they possible manage a hotel filled with guests!

This was the worst hotel I have ever stayed at. To start when we went to check in at 4 PM the front desk was closed with a sign directing us to a hotel next door. We check in and inquire about the free dinner and breakfast that was to be included with our stay. We were informed that they no longer did the free dinner. The hotel itself was dingy with stained carpet. We get to our hotel room and there was a immediate odor upon entering the room. The room has obviously not been cleaned. There was a unidentified black substance all over the bathroom sink and mildew in the grout. My ten month old promptly discovered the used Chinese food wrappers and beads on the floor. The furniture was scratched and broken. The bedding on the bed was stained and torn. There was also exposed wires and a outlet plate hanging off the wall. We went out to find something to eat in the hotel and again were disappointed. The deli type restaurant was unable to provide us with a menu and the barroom had a limited menu. While ordering the other guests there were redeeming the coupons that we were denied for a free dinner. We ordered $11 cheeseburgers that were disgusting. The buns fell apart and the burgers tasted like something from the freezer section at Walmart. The next morning when we went down for breakfast we were denied entry because we did not have coupons. I requested to speak with a manager. I was told to go to the front desk if I wanted to speak with someone.

Looks like it was built in the 70's and stayed that way. On the good side It is clean and comfortable. And the staff is polite and accommodating. On the not so good side the building looks like it has been maintained but not been updated. But for the price that includes breakfast and dinner and proximity to Gettysburg. I think it is a decent place for the money.

I'll start with the good — the staff was very friendly and helpful. The amenities offered was also top notch, the pool was clean, the breakfast and dinner was excellent and the game room was pretty cool-however there were some really important issues that would prevent me and my family from returning or even recommending this hotel. The Bad — First, the rooms were very dingy and dirty; not what you would expect from a hotel, but more of what you would expect from some cheap motel. Discovered a few stains on the sheets that was addressed immediately. There was also dust, hair and fingernails along the edges of the floor — just not a very clean room. The room security was also very poor, as the safety lock was broken to the inside door and the lock on the slider that went out to the pool area was broken. I really want to like this place because of the way the hotel is set up, the really super friendly staff, and the history behind the hotel, but cleanliness and safety are my top two priorities and this place failed with both.

The staff was rude and very unfriendly. We were there with the AMO National convention. I have never encounter such rude, incompitant, and unhelpful staff at any event I have ever attended or helped with. Example… we were told they were going to set up a food tent that participants could purchase food and drills during the day… BUT they were closed from 12-4. Gee guys, think closing at lunch time and stating closed during heat if the day is to your best interest? That is the type of staff cooperation our convention encountered. Have you ever had a hotel staff tell you you have to repark your car because they think you parked to close to the white parking space line? Again this is the staff at the Eisenhour Inn in Gettysburg. Would not recommend to anyone, just the opposite, would recommend they stay away.

The hotel Is very big I liked that about my stay I also liked the pool area the ceiling is glass but moves so when I rains it's indoor and when it's not its an outdoor pool. When we were their it was raining and very muggy smelly and hot inside but the water was beautiful.

The hotel is in a phenomenal location… close to the battlefield and almost attached to a sports complex that has go carts, golf, laser tag, video games and much more. The hotel itself is average. It needs some tlc but the staff is very friendly and accommodating and the hotel breakfast was very good.

The hotel is dated and over priced. I would expect to pay those fee for a cleaner, more centrally located and a room with modern TV. The place was clean which is why I stayed. The hallways were dark and smelly. It wasn't horrible, but it isn't any place I'd be going back anytime soon.

Kind of run down. Terrible landscape. Not what you would expect for Gettysburg! The staff however was very nice and helpful. But it smelled funny and was super dark in the hallways…

Very clean. The workers were friendly and stayed on top of everything. Definitely a great place to rent out for a special occasion.

The Eisenhower hotel is a little out dated. The rooms were very small with incredibly old tvs. The amenities were lacking. The pool looked clean but the pool area was very hot and humid. The rooms and hallways had a smell. The hotel is located conviently, but not many places to shop or eat in walking distance. The restaurant in the hotel had horrible hours and very inconvenient. The gift shop was not open during the day when I went to check it out. Also the hotel had no brochures or info on any attractions near by. When I called inquiring about the newer part of the hotel called aspire. They told me there was no way to change my reservation but after seeing the rooms at the Eisenhower and determining there was no way I would stay there they switch my reservation to the aspire.

The staff was very nice, and accommodating, but the rooms were old and could use some updating. The sink in our room was leaking. The food at the breakfast was unimpressive for the cost.

This is a low cost conference center as such you shouldn't have high luxury expectations. Rooms have low ceilings and minimal amenities. Including old non-HD tube TVs. Rooms around the pool tended to be warm and humid. The facility appears to be clean but worn and dated.

Ok, so, after reading all the horror stories, I REALLY wanted to give it a higher rating (figuring it must not be THAT bad). How awful for the poor place to have so many mean people giving it a bad reputation with all these 1 star ratings! Well, … with old rotten food caked on the inside of both the fridge and the microwave, DRIED sewage engulfing the entirety of the tub, a VERY worn toilet seat, yellow stains on the towels, filthy carpet in the room, and a smell of mold quite strong in the room, alas, I've gotta do what I've gotta do. 1 half star for the "amenities" 4 stars for the nice person at the front desk 4 stars for the lobby and halls I entered Overall… (drum roll please) … I just could not get myself to give over 1 star! I know how to calculate averages but I'm spending so much more time in the 1 star room than I am talking to the girl in the lobby, so, factoring time spent in each place, I just CAN'T give any higher. : — ( Perhaps all management and employees should be forced to stay a week in a Hilton to see how it should be done? … or, stay a week in a North Korean concentration camp to see how it should NOT be done? Come to think of it, that concentration camp might not be all that bad…

We stayed in the newer, three-story section of the hotel which gave us a quite large room with small fridge and microwave. The room itself was satisfactory, but we'll take points off for the quite painful water saving shower head. Using it is like being sandblasted with water, and since it tries to make up for lost water volume with air, the water cools very quickly. This means a hot shower will burn your head yet still feel cold on your legs. Also shower related, the combination shampoo/conditioner and cheap soap provided were not a welcome surprise. Other than that, it did suit our needs for the weekend being decently close to town and the battlefield.

It is a lovely classic hotel. The staff were friendly and very helpful. Loved the little market inside. Hotel prices in Gettysburg are outrageous, but this was a good value in a precious historic hotel.

I tried to be fair with my opinion of this hotel. The first thing that went awry was there was no mention of a dog show when booking. I don't dislike dogs. However, the hotel reeked of wet dog. While swimming there was a dog on the loose in the pool area. Unacceptable in my opinion. My grandchildren were scared and my wife freaked out. She was attacked by a dog at one time. Once bitten twice shy, right? There was a leftover sandwich left in the ice box from a previous guest. There was trash left on the floor from a prior guest. The carpets throughout the entire complex were filthy. The bathroom reeked of roach spray. There were stains on the sheets. I don't know if it was rust or from not being laundered. The sink in the bathroom drained poorly. The freezer door to the mini frig was broke. The access panel to the a/c was broke. I slipped in the pool due to a slimy bottom. The broken bath tub finished it for me. My wife wanted to give our Granddaughter a bath. The stopper was broke. I had to plug the tub so she could have her bath. I am not the maintenance man. I'm not pleased with having to do this while on a mini vacation with my family. The description on the web as one of Gettysburg's finest is laughable. I paid over a hundred and fifty a night. This has me feeling entirely ripped off. I was unable to get extra nights at The Wyndham. They were booked up. The few positives I found were overshadowed by the negatives. The front desk staff was cordial and helpful.

This is the worst place anyone could stay in. So the room was very large, it was dirty, musky smelling and outdated by at least 20 yrs. The hotel knew that several buses were coming in, yet the restaurant was closed to a private event. Nothing nearby. The guest laundry was broken as both washmaschines were out of order. The staff had no idea of anything and management was completely unavailable.

Room Furnishings from the 1980's or 1990's. Bathroom fixtures from the 1970's No toothpaste, no mouthwash. No Microwave or Mini-fridge in rooms. Non Flatscreen TVs,. Odd smell. Knew within the first hour that I would never go back. Pug Breed dog show in the hotel. Advertised Wi-Fi is spotty and only worked well enough for me to accomplish anything on the Second night of our stay, Likely due to the number of guests overwhelming their system connections the night before and leaving for home the next day. There for a banquet, the beef roast was blackened on the surface, and the portion was too huge to eat at once. What I was served, It would be half of a roast I cook at home to feed 3. Had to send some of it away when I was done. Hope a Pug got it. Entrances are lettered next to the ground in the corner of a window, hard to spot them when you don't know to look there and kind of dangerous to try to spot it while driving in the lot. Glad I was someone's guest. I would have been Irate if I was paying.
