I've stayed here twice, love the morning breakfast, it's more than enough! Rooms (we stayed in the Jeremy Room both times) are very clean.

Love the beer garden, lunch was great! Staff was wonderful!

Here now. We didn't come too hungry, we like to try new beers/wines/ and the peanut soup caught our eye. The place is absolutely beautiful. Inside and out. I could sit here all day for sure. What stood out the most was our waitress Savanah. Very very very friendly, welcoming, and funny. I am a bartender myself and am here for vacation and I am more than impressed with her personality we adore her! I highly recommend this place. Best stop during our stay.

The Outdoor Beer Garden! Every server is kind, courteous and works really hard to get your order to you in a timely fashion! They go above and beyond and put their heart into what they do!

The stay was really nice. Food was absolutely delicious and the staff were super friendly! The shower water was extremely soft as opposed to the hard water I’m used to at home. Definitely will be returning!

My fiancé and I stayed for my birthday weekend. The staff, Mr and Mrs Schulz and everyone were absolutely wonderful and welcoming. The inn is clean the rooms are beautiful and the food was fab! We will definitely book again, and are already planning our next trip!

My Wife and I spent our 31st Anniversary in the Sweeney Room. We had a fantastic time! The staff and owner are Great. From the room to the bar it is 5 star. We will be back!

You’ll love hanging out in the beer garden around the fire. The staff is friendly and fun. Love the burgers.

Absolutely wonderful place to stay. The staff are so friendly and enjoyable tontalk to. We actually got to chat with Mr. Schultz the owner, and what a truly nice man. He gave us a signed copie of the book "Gettysburg Haunted Addresses The Farnsworth House". And yes the place really is haunted. But all the spirits we encountered seemed very sweet.

Everyone who works here is very friendly and helpful. Mom and I always look forward to seeing Vivian.
Mary was another regular we seen but was told she no longer works at Farnsworth Inn. This will always be the place we will stay at for Gettysburg love it here.

Stayed in the McFarlane room 2/12/21! Absolutely loved it! Enjoyed the Valentines dinner. Food was delicious and drinks were perfect. Friendly staff and awesome tour in the basement. I could’ve stayed for hours listening to our guide Ken. Very knowledgeable of the houses’ history and the battle! Will definitely be back again!

My boyfriend and I spontaneously decided to spent a night in Gettysburg. We decided to stay at Farnsworth House Inn and fully intend on staying again in the future. The staff were super nice and the rooms are beautiful. We had breakfast brought to our room in the morning, the food was great. We look forward to trying out the Tavern next time we visit.

Our first time in Gettysburg we stayed at B&B. The staff was AMAZING! Our breakfast waitress took us on a small little tour of the house. We will be back.

Love coming to the Farnsworth House. This is my third time here. The tavern drinks and food are very good and reasonable. The staff, especially Vivian and Mary are absolutely great. Will come back again.

My wife and I love the farnsworth, the food is amazing, as well, as the atmosphere. We love the outdoor garden year round. We always make sure David is working! We always stop if he is working, he gives the absolute best service. He loves his job and the history here. He makes it a wonderful experience with how much he cares and how much time he puts into each customer!

Really enjoy the casual and relaxing atmosphere of the Beer Garden, interesting place to meet people from all over the country.

Awesome experience! It was a bit of a wait to get a seat but it was more than worth it! The pretzel was arguably the best we’ve ever had. The game pie and meatloaf were phenomenal! The service and ambiance were exceptional as well!

We come very regularly! The sweeny tavern is amazing with period type foods and great service. Our most favorite experience is the beer garden. We always look out for David! He is our favorite! We always make sure to make several stops when he is out bartending! He makes you feel like family and makes each and every patron a top priority! If you aren’t staying at the inn or dining inside make sure to stop at the beer garden for a drink and appetizer and visit with David!

We stayed in the Lincoln room for our 10th wedding anniversary. There were a couple quirky things that come with staying in a (very) old b&b, but overall it was a fun experience. We ate in the fine dining room once for breakfast, in the tavern once for dinner, and in the garden once for dinner. The food is great — especially enjoyed the Game Pie and wine slushies!

We ate in the garden of the tavern. Great atmosphere, and a very nice friendly waitress. The pretzel is amazing! Our meals were delicious, except our sons mac and cheese. It had no flavor, but he ate it anyway. Overall great experience and would definitely return if we came back in the future. We wish we had done the house tour.

Excellent food and service! Highly recommend! Our server Libbey was great and gave us excellent service. The food was cooked perfectly and the environment was very enjoyable. We will return!

While visiting the battlefield a group of us decided to stop and take a tour of the Farnsworth House. The tour was great and they gave us coupons for their restaurant! The restaurant was like going back in time as it was very authentic of time period. Even the staff dressed the part. The food and service was excellent and the prices were very fair.

This place is absolutely amazing! The atmosphere is wonderful, very authentic and charming, and all the servers dress in period clothes. But the food! I can't remember the last time I had a meal so delicious! The game pie and pumpkin fritters are just mouth-wateringly good. We didn't have room for dessert, there was so much food and it was all so good, but we saw them bring some out for other tables and it looked as good as everything else had been. Do yourself a favor and go have a meal here. Get a reservation, apparently they tend to book up, and give yourself plenty of time to enjoy the full meal and experience of Farnsworth House.

Rented 2 rooms for our party this past weekend. This is our second trip staying here. Our room smelled terrible on Saturday due to sewage issues. Same problem we had the last visit in a different room. It was unbearable to be in there during the day. This was reported both times with management doing nothing but saying sorry. The tavern food was ok. My sandwich was cold and not as good as the last time there. A really big issue is all the tours that come through. We went with our ghost hunting equipment and could not do it because tours were coming through until midnight. Also unless we book a tour we have limited access to some areas. I think for as much as we pay to stay a night we should be able to investigate the whole house (aside from the other bedrooms. ) also the gift shop was very limited as this time. They had ghost hunting equipment, sage, and so forth related to why people come there. They had none of that stuff this time. The employees told a person they were fired while we were checking in right in front of us and that he was fired due to his drawer being short 40 dollars. This should have been discussed in private. The rooms are clean and the decor fits perfectly. Breakfast staff was very friendly. All in all management needs to look into a lot of things there and definitely customer care.

Our dinner at the inn was excellent, one of the best meals I've ever had. I highly recommend the game pie, which is excellent. The beer is very inexpensive, and the staff is pleasant. The tables are quite close together, but that is not a problem since this a cozy place.

We rented 2 rooms for the 4 of us traveling together. The rooms are as expected for the reason one would stay at the Farnsworth House Inn. Old, but CLEAN! The A/C could have been a better window unit. They are very loud. The Bathrooms in the rooms we stayed in are old Claw Foot tubs. Perfect for the ambiance of the rooms, but I did have concerns about the safety of getting in and out without any grab rails, and the towel type floor towel doesn't have any anti slip stuff so just be very careful. Again, very authentic, but a few safety features could be added without compromising the look and feel of the rooms. And better window A/C units would go far for the overall comfort. The Owner who we had the privilage of meeting was a fine gentleman. I got the sence that this man really does care about customer service. We've been visiting Gettysburg for many years, have eaten and yes, had a few adult beverages there, but this is the first time we have stayed there. I would recommend it.

My first time to Gettysburg, this was a perfect centralized location. I stayed in the Custard Room, very spacious and cozy! I loved the beer garden, very friendly staff all around always helpful. Lovely court yard and garden. Breakfast was good and filling, great way to start the day. I took the ghost tour both nights because the guides were so amazing! Can't wait to come back again to stay at Farnsworth and see more of Gettysburg.

Nice restaurant. Very friendly staff. Food is good but not great. Salad was very fresh. Good value for portions. Historic value is great. You can dine outside in the courtyard, which is lovely. We really enjoyed dinner here.

We went there to celebrate Mother's Day and show my visiting Daughter in law the sites of Gettysburg. We had a ball. Our waitress Connie was wonderful and let us have fun taking pictures to hopefully catch a resident ghost or 2. We did get some pretty interesting pictures and loved the atmosphere. Thank you to the staff of The Farnsworth House for a memorable Mother's Day.

We come to Gburg often and make it a point to eat at Dobbin or Farnsworth. We elected to eat at Farnsworth this past Remembrance Day. After a bit of a wait (only to be expected) we were seated. Our waitress that night had no idea what she was doing and had little knowledge of the menu. The hostess kept taking dishes off our table, even though we weren't finished with them. It finally came down to the point that we were only left with our water glasses. No one asked if we wanted anything else, drinks, desserts. What they were trying to accomplish was to get us out of there as quick as possible. Dinner for 3 is NOT a cheap affair and we did NOT appreciate being rushed through our dinner.
