Being accountable for their mistakes and learn customer service is important. This was the worst experience, I have ever had. The front desk person and general manager do not possess any Customer Service skills. We called the corporate office while we there, had a rep on speaker phone and the front desk staff refuse to even talk to Red Roof corporate office. The issued started because the front desk ran our checked us in, we went to our room for the night. The next morning we get a call claiming our credit card was declined from the front desk. We called the credit card company and was told the card declined because the front desk ran the card 3 times using the wrong expiration date, so they blocked the card as potential fraud. So the credit card company unblocked the card, so we are thinking okay problem solved. Guess what no problem not solved the general manager BK Patel is on the phone with his unprofessional front desk staff who tells we better give him cash money or get off his property. I couldn't believe what I was hearing, mind you I was on the phone with Red Roof Corporate office while this was going on. I didn't even think hotels took cash at the beginning of your stay. The corporate office tried calling the front desk and they wouldn't even answer the line. They knew they were calling because I told the front desk person. The corporate office couldn't understand why the card simply wasn't ran again or the front desk person wouldn't contact the credit card company.
