Best place to stay when visiting Murray Kentucky! Great owner, clean rooms and great prices!

Very clean quaint little place. The owner, Helian and her little dog Channing are very sweet and most accommodating! Great coffee along with breakfast! We’ve stayed twice and every time we are in the are will stay at the Inn! We LOVE the place.

Only issue was internet and cable were out due to outage in area. Owner was very apologetic and keep us up to date on the situation. Room was very charming and comfortable. Loved the dispenser for soap, shampoo and conditioner in shower. Will definitely stay here again when come to visit my daughter.

5 stars! This place is fantastic! Quaint, quiet, clean and completely comfortable. The owners take very good care of the property and it’s very reminiscent of a nostalgic era long past. It’s my absolute favorite place to stay and with a more than reasonable price, I can afford to stay as often as I require.

The Proprietress is warm and engaging. And she’s accommodating! The gazebo areas at front are lovely for morning coffee. The artworks are her originals.

Basically it’s a quaint 50’s style motel. The hotel I usually stay at didn’t have tell rooms available so I got two rooms here based on the reviews. The girls room was OK. In my room the coffee pot still had a coffee pod in it, the creamer was gone and there were hairs in my sink which made me doubt the room had been cleaned. Yuck. I won’t be going back.

This is a cute little place. Very quiet even though it's on a main street. Helian is a perfect hostess, and her staff is soooooo nice. Decor is vintage, I love vintage, property is clean with comfy beds and pillows. No breakfast, but there is coffee in the lobby in the morning. (Lots of great mom and pop restaurants around for food. ) I will most definitely be back as my daughter is now a student at Murray State. Oh and if they are booked in a particular time frame, they will put you on a cancellation call list. You don't get that treatment from a "chain" hotel. I believe pricing is fair as well. They do offer various discounts, such as military. If you stay here that you have just as a nice time as I did.

The Murray Plaza Lodge was adorable. Everything was very well taken care of and looked freshly painted. The proprietor was very friendly and easy to work with. The towels were SOFT! The grounds were adorable. Very meticulously kept and beautiful!

This place is amazing and the owners are very nice. I would recommend this place to everyone. Very reasonable on prices too.

This was like stepping back in time. Something you would expect to see on route 66. Close to everything. Convenient parking for boaters. Clean afcordable lodging with cold air. Friendly staff.

While I would normally rate this (and any usual Motel) 4 stars due to the price and size of room, I’m giving them a well deserved 5 stars. We travel from South MS to Murray for my husband’s job. We weren’t able to stay in his semi so we needed a place to stay for the night. The overall look of the outside is charming and the inside of our room is adorable! The thing that won me over though to give this 5 star review is the bathroom! After over 7 hours of driving, I really wanted a shower but didn’t have any shampoo/conditioner or body wash. I looked inside the shower and was overjoyed with the discovery that they have a dispenser on the shower wall with shampoo, conditioner and body wash! The icing on the cake is the blow dryer as I didn’t have one of those with me either! Very happy we chose to stay here!

Clean, safe quiet motel. Always stay her when bin town.

My boyfriend and I stayed two nights. Our room was really nice and perfect. It looked, smelled and felt clean. Our only complaint was that the pillows were very flat. The office closed at 11 p. M. And so we couldn't ask for more when we realized how flat they were. The next day they brought us 4 more and it was perfect. They even brought them quickly! I would stay here again. It's a very cute little place! The staff we dealt with was very nice and friendly as well.

I stumbled into the greatest little motel. It is the Murray Plaza Lodge. It's an older motel that has been completely redone. The rooms are spotless with a lot of amenities. The staff is very friendly. The place is a steal for the price.

Always enjoy my stay at Murray Plaza. The rooms are very clean the beds are comfortable and the staff is great. The location is very convenient. My family and I strongly recommend staying here when you are in Murray.

I would make a trip to Murray for no other reason than to stay at Murray Plaza Lodge. It's adorable and comfortable. Some other reviewers use the word "outdated, " but it is actually freshly updated in a retro style. You wouldn't believe how clean it is.

Very nice landscaping and grounds, with gazebos and English ivy and tall shade trees all around. The room and bathroom were utterly spotless. Staff were extremely pleasant. I have to say that I was surprised, in a very good way.

The rooms are very outdated but if you're looking for a nice, quiet and most importantly CLEAN room then this place will do just fine. Basic room, all non smoking and no pet's. No breakfast.

Great hotel, very clean and well maintained with beautiful landscaping. The best way I can describe it is the way hotels looked 30 years ago, but in a good way. Would stay there again without hesitation. My only complaint is no breakfast and old TV.

It was a last minute need and so we looked up local reviews. Saw this place had good rates and great ratings. Both were true. Nice, no frills room that had a nice shower with great water pressure. The owner (Roy) I think was cool with our service dog. We are here yearly, so will be back.

The location was quite convenient, located next to a family dollar, little caesars, and a family video. The rooms were nice, though the Internet was fighting me on my handheld gaming device, yet worked perfectly on my laptop. The service was very nice as well, reliable and easy to work with.

Very nice rooms. The owners are Fantastic. I stayed there a few times when I was working and stranded in town because of icy roads. I Highly recommend. I see the new pictures and all the work they have done and I am still In awe at the improvements.

Me and my family came there to this place a couple nights ago and there was this reallyear old man at the front desk. He asked if we would rather wanted smoking rooms or nonsmoking rooms, well when we said smoking, he said there is some at the hotel down the street and started to walk away and we had told him that we could step outside to smoke. Then when we asked if it would be cheaper to rent 2 single bed rooms or 1 big double, he started to yell at us asking a stupid question then through our credit cards and IDs back at us and told us to leave and that they were full. So we went to the quality Inn down the street and they were much much kinder and was cheaper, had free breakfast and a swimming pull. So just go down the road, it'seems right beside the goodwill store.

Me and my fiancee were in town to visit friends and wanted a place while there it never felt like a hotel room more like a private master bedroom. The staff was wonderful the only thing to make it better would be updated tvs.

While the rooms are in fact very clean, There was a strong smell of mildew in our room. Not sure if it came from the AC unit or from something else, but it was hard to ignore. The carpets also felt damp and the room was overall very humid. Otherwise, it's in a convenient location and appears to be safe.

Cleanest and quietest hotel/motel we have stayed. Will definitely return when in Western Kentucky. Very friendly staff and owners. Has updated ammenities, great location too.

We have stayed at the Lodge twice a year for the past several years and have always found it very clean and the service excellent. Before trying the Lodge we had stayed in two other motels in Murray, one of which had a bed bug problem, which proves that bigger is not always better.

Stumbled onto this motel and was very lucky to do so. The room was absolutely wonderful, clean, secure and well appointed. The staff was so courteous and helpful (I intially had trouble logging on to their Wi-Fi, but management had that resolved in short order. Comparing the rates with others in Murray showed the "Lodge" was the winner, hands down! The only possible issue I had was the lack of a tub mat or rubber anti-skid stickies. I came close to falling, BUT, one mention to management and they took this issue very seriously and vowed to resolve the problem. I believe they will fix it. All in all, a wonderful two day stay. Thanx.

On our way to Hazel, Kentucky for antique shopping, my husband and I found this beautiful motel on our right hand side. It was three big beautiful gazebos that caught our eyes. We reserved a room to come back in the evening. It was very convenient to park the car right in front of our room. We didn't need to carry bags here and there to get to the room as in big hotels. The room was very very nice. It was extremely clean and cozy. We told the owners how nice the room was and told them we were going to write a review on the Internet. It took five months to write this review. We also wanted to thank and let them know that we have read the small booklet of "The Declaration of Independence and the Constitution of the United States" they gave us.

His name is Ray. He must be suffering from Alzheimer's, or Hodgekin's or SOMETHING, because he will take down your reservation one day and then erase it out of the book the next and rent the room you reserved to someone else! A co worker and I stayed there for three consecutive nights a week for over a month, and then out of the blue, Ray completely forgets who we are, wants to jack up the room rate and has erased our names from where we made the reservation the week before. He has done this to us more than once. The rooms themselves are not bad at all, except for the showers being VERY slippery and downright DANGEROUS! But if you want a MUCH nicer room for only a bit more money, and NONE of the headaches caused by Ray, who should go back into retirement (I was told he did once and came back), I strongly suggest the Days Inn across the street. Just tell them about the awful nutcase over at Murray Plaza Lodge and they will give you a comparable rate. That's what they did for me! Days Inn is EXCELLENT! Murray Plaza Lodge isn't worth the bother.
