Worst hotel experience I’ve ever had. Booked the rockstar suite a week ahead of time for $1000 a night. Even called and made sure the room was booked correctly. When I got there to check in I was given a regular room and told “The wsu basketball team just got in so we downgraded your room and gave them the suite. ” Needless to say I got my money back and left. Will never be back. Terrible management. Absolutely disgusting customer service.

We love the Ambassador. We live in town and when we need a night away from the kids, we choose this hotel. Highly recommend.

Stayed this weekend, the staff was amazing and the room was wonderful. I love that they are remaking older, existing places into something new and beautiful. I would stay here again in a heart beat.

I have been here the last 3 nights and this hotel is absolutely stunning. I did not get a chance to check the wine bar or the Speak Easy out, but to have those hot spots available is pretty incredible. They are really accommodating and do everything they can to provide you with what you need. 10/10 would stay here again.

I had the honor of officiating several weddings at the Ambassador Hotel on August 28th 2020 during their MicroWedding Event. The ceremony area & design were created by Le Luci. It was absolutely perfect! The ambience created was excellent for each couple & their moments. The moment I arrived until I left everyone from the front desk to Richard that was with us during the reception were extremely polite and ever so helpful. Their smiles were authentic which made me feel welcome! In today’s busy world with all the COVID craziness it is really nice to find those that still take the time just to focus on your immediate needs. Ariel has been awesome and I can not thank her enough throughout this time I’ve worked with her. If you are looking for a Wedding venue in the downtown area the Ambassador will definitely be worth taking a good look at. Btw their rooms are absolutely gorgeous! I would AVOID. I have never met a hotel that has such terrible customer service (especially to their Platinum Elite members)
I stayed there October 16-17, and everything was great until I noticed a charge on my company card while doing my expense report. I called to ask why and they said it was a “pillow charge” and they would get back with me. After no one got back, I called again. Same response… and again… So I called back to speak with a manager this time, and the girl took the charge off prior to me speaking with a manager, and sent over a new receipt.
As I’m looking it over… I noticed the notes on my folio… GUEST DID TAKE PILLOW. Wow.
I am honestly shocked and a little blown away by the boldness of this hotel staff. If you’ve stayed there I highly encourage checking CC to make sure you weren’t charged as well. My issue is how this situation was handled by hotel staff and management.
AND. If I was going to spend $80 on a pillow, It wouldn’t be a used hotel pillow.
And… I wouldn’t put it on my COMPANY CREDIT CARD that I have to turn in expenses for. Stay at your own risk I will stay a Marriott member for now. I just won’t be returning my business to this hotel. Happy travels.

Our room was large and home like. It was very clean and the AC and bed were amazing. Staying here was like staying at home. The room had normal light switches and better than standard furniture. The wall colors were cool neutrals instead of the loud wall colors you sometimes see in hotels. We liked it and would return!

First class experience from arrival to departure. Friendly staff, great rooms and just an excellent property. The restaurant had great food and service and both bars offered a large variety of drinks and atmosphere. If your in Wichita this is a great place to stay.

Stayed for the weekend, unable to sleep most nights past 12:30 am as drunken party goers cheered and celebrated next door. Hotel management was unable to reduce the volume of the guests nor were they willing to refund my stay. Would not recommend staying on a weekend, certainly not a Friday or Saturday night.

Everything a hotel should be! We had a huge executive king room, with a beautiful bathroom. The bed was super comfortable and even though there were 2 weddings happening in the hotel, we never heard any noise. Highly recommend!

My stay at the Ambassador Hotel Wichita was fantastic. I stayed in a corner room on the 7th floor which was incredibly spacious and featured a luxurious bathroom with walk-in shower. The bedroom had enormous windows offering a nice view of the city and streets below. Additionally the hotel included a speakeasy in the basement for late night drinks. I definitely recommend this hotel.

Beautiful historical hotel. Great restaurant and bar on first floor and cool speakeasy style bar downstairs. Rooms were clean and nicely decorated. Will stay here again.

Large corner room, used points to stay here. Furniture was old and dated. Health Club was small and equipment was in disrepair. Had a great dinner at the Sienna Steakhouse. Negative experience with the front desk and billing error follow up. I was billed for a dinner on the date after I checked out. Four calls to try to resolve this with hotel and they are not responsive. Today was told I needed to change my tone — perhaps I will change my choice of hotels next time.

This is a long tale, bear with me. A friend of mine booked a suite for her wedding, we used it to get ready in and spend the night, our first issue arose when we were no one in our party was allowed the early check in we were promised. Second issue became apparent when we walked into the room and none of the cots we were offered and had reserved were there, we went down to the desk and the people working there told us the reservation of cots was more of a “request” (? ). We asked them if they could bring us up extra bedding, because we had expected multiple cots we assumed they would be willing to bring lots of extra bedding, they said sure, and promised to be up in fifteen minutes. Three hours later and surprise! We are still bedding-less. We call down again, and they tell us they’re sorry and they’ll be up in another 15. Wonder if wonders they were not, we did finally get bedding in the form of two comforters and two pillows about 2 hours later, the last time we called to check up on the status of our bedding, the man told me, “sorry we’re busy”. They did offer us a $25 voucher for the downstairs restaurant which one of the girls used as a pillow. Also, if you don’t mind everyone in your room definitely hearing, and potentially seeing what you’re doing in the toilet, book a room right away, the doors are floating AND frosted! And a new fun update, we’ve been charged $20 for hotel snacks that no one ate. Cheers.

My overall experience comes at the lack of attention to detail that I felt that they took in making a long term guest feel as if my money was well spent. The housekeeping staff made me feel as if I was an imposition to them and it was impossible to get a room service order when I called to the front desk. Once I was able to speak to someone and place an order they were curt and again made me feel as if I was imposing on them, I felt like the staff saw all their guests as burdens to be dealt with as opposed to guest that should be cared for, this room service order did not arrive and after nearly one hour after I placed the order I called to have it cancelled. There was a dirty glass left in the room by the ice bucket, I intentionally moved it across the room in the hopes that it would be replaced. I returned to my room and the same dirty glass was put back by the ice bucket. I asked for the room to be kept cold and there was a note saying that it was not possible and the curtains were drawn open. Again it was as if the staff had zero regard for the 1k that I was spending over the course of my engagement in Wichita. I have received much better and more courteous guest experiences at every Hilton hotel that I have stayed at and will make a concerted effort to abstain from patronage in any Marriott and Ambassador hotels in the future, they have lost a client that travels extensively for work and for pleasure.

A lil pricey, the valet cost, the snacks are all $3 no matter the size. At least they have prices marked near then and all the drinks in the lil fridge in the room, they'll do your laundry. Very clean rooms, they think of pretty much everything, right down to make up remover, and Q-Tips, lighted mirror. They always offer water when u come in. They help with your suitcases, and bags, they have elevator's. They have a great bar downstairs!

Stayed for a wedding and the rooms were very nice. The bathroom was spacious and Wi-Fi worked well (sometimes you don't get so lucky). They have a nice steak house on the bottom floor. I would give them 5 stars but there was no pool.

Chic hotel in the heart of downtown Wichita. Comfortable, nicely decorated rooms. Attentive, polite staff. Limited activities in the immediate area so having a car is helpful.

Beautiful hotel. My room was very comfy. There is a "chiller" for a mini bar, but it's really not cold enough to keep food from spoiling. Just use it to chill drinks a bit. I didn't leave my room, but I saw on "Around Me" app that there were lots of highly rated restaurants nearby.

Amazing hotel. Great service, rooms are super clean and nicely kept and the breakfast is superb I am a Marriott Platinum member so the upgraded me to the 14th floor executive suite. The room was awesome and had great view of the entire city. Loved the stay and will be staying here next time too.

A really spacious room and bathroom. Wi-Fi access, valet parking and hotel guest have access to a hotel laptop and printer The hotel restaurant is known for it steak and it's delicious. They have a speak easy style bar downstairs that opens at 6:30. Very comfortable bed, worth the cost.

Ambassador is a very nice hotel. We were there for an event in the"hidden" speakeasy bar. We were in what used to be a vault. There drinks were excellent and food great as well. It has great atmosphere. Dimly lit and relaxing. Felt like a step back in time. The parking garage is small with tight turns but that's my only complaint. Definitely worth a visit!

Absolutely amazing. Brooklyn is the best server/host I have ever had hands down. The steak is the best in town for sure. And the desert was amazing as well. I wish I could give this place 10 stars too be honest. And the gentleman at the front desk was great too. This is my new place to go in Wichita for sure.

Easy in, well laid out, hot showers, very nice but not that obnoxious overly doting type — staff… awesome staff… front desk mgr on check in was very helpful… BEST OF LUCK to the great young man who drove suv shuttle to airport as he is joining Army soon — truly a good American young man.

This is my second time staying at this property and I am not disappointed. Having low expectations for a hotel in Wichita, KS, I’m pleasantly surprised with my accommodations. Both times here, I’ve been greeted with a room upgrade at the front desk. The service is great and the restaurant on the first floor is very convenient for a business traveler. Great job, Ambassador Hotel!

Went for the brunch buffet. The food was fantastic, the service timely and friendly, and the live performed music was excellent. It was lovely, although for $30.00 per person I am not sure I got my money's worth.

Beautiful hotel. Staff is courteous and professional. I would stay here seldomly only on a special occasion but since there is a $100.00 hold per night on your room I would prefer to stay at another Marriott hotel in town. The speakeasy is a hidden gem of this hotel and you I cant ask for better food at such a decent price for a 4 Star Hotel. I recently had a hotel visit here and Mr. Hartung was very pleasant to meet with and explained everything about the hotel accurately including the history, construction, prices, management, and knows the hotel inside out. If you are just visiting and need to stay at a hotel, this the only 4 Star Hotel in Wichita.

I’ve stay at the Ambassador Hotel in Wichita, KS several times and the stay is always very pleasant. The room is clean and tidy, not to mention the beautiful set up. The staff is always kind and informative if I ever have any questions.

The Ambassador hotels are very good. This is no exception. The staff is well trained and very professional. The atmosphere is elegant and absolutely comfortable. Our room was spacious and beautiful. Every detail was well thought out and perfectly executed. The on-site restaurant has excellent food and once again, the staff is exceptional. The hidden gem is the speakeasy type lounge in the basement. Our family will come again.

The restaurant is fantastic. Food and service is great but the speak easy is run by a total d bag. I would recommend to anyone looking for a great meal just avoid the temptation to go to the speak easy.

Had a wonderful view of downtown Wichita in a spacious and luxurious room at a similar price you'd pay a normal hotel room elsewhere. Would highly recommend consider Ambassador before booking your next stay in Wichita!

I've never stayed here, but a newly remodeled landmark in Wichita lives on. Since I can't comment on the hotel itself, I'll focus on food & drinks. Sienna Steakhouse on the first floor is one of the best places in town. Great staff, atmosphere & chefs. Folks at the bar really take pride in making great cocktails & they even have some local craftbeer. Food is superb, order whatever looks good you won't be disappointed. If you can find your way down to the basement, you might stumble upon Dockum, a Speakeasy in the lower level. It's a pretty special place, but I think I've said too much already.

What can I say, this place is amazing. Staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Rooms were very clean and very modern. The drinks at the speakeasy downstairs are incredible as well. Great place to stay and we will be returning!

Absolutely love the Dockums Apothecary speakeasy bar in the basement of The Ambassador Hotel! Recently had a happy hour there to celebrate a work event and they were so awesome they even created a special drink just for our group! Couldn't have asked for better service from Cara and the rest of the bar staff!

I had drinks at Dockum which is below the hotel. The speakeasy vibe was exciting and the drinks were very complex, unique, and tasty. If you are looking for a different scene, definitely try this hidden gem.

It is a gorgeous hotel! My friend was getting married and they wanted to make that more special for them and they upgraded their room! Big props to the wonderful service.

I am sure my experience is atypical, but I stayed here for work for 6 nights. In that time, the only time they replaced my shampoo was when I called the front desk to ask for more. Additionally, they didn't empty the trash the last 2 or 3 days. Lastly, my shower didn't seem to mix the hot and cold water properly, and I was unable to find anything that wasn't scalding hot or ice cold. Customer service was great and the rooms are beautiful, but I probably wouldn't stay here again unless my company asked me to. Also, they need fridges in the rooms.

Love, love, love the Ambassador Hotel! The staff were friendly & so helpful. Our room was huge and very comfortable with beautiful decor. Awesome location. Easy walking distance to Intrust Bank Arena & close to Old Town restaurants/shops. One of the best hotels we have ever stayed at!

What a spectacular hotel and staff! Rooms are large and quiet with very nice details. Luxurious in many ways. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Food is great at the on-site restaurant, drinks can get expensive in their speakeasy though.

This place is the BEST! Huge, beautiful rooms and FABULOUS staff. My youngest son injured himself during our stay (through NO fault of the hotel) The staff handled my son's accident like pros! Then they checked up on us after we checked out and sent my kids t-shirts and a wonderful note signed by everyone. This is the kind of service you rarely find anywhere nowadays! I am so grateful! Stay here, you'll love it! And if you have kids, tell them to take it from my son who didn't listen… jumping on beds is NOT a good idea! My son is all healed and just fine and we are all impressed with what a phenomenal group of people the Ambassador has on staff.

Another great Autograph hotel by Marriott. The restaurant has a pretty good happy hour from 3-6 pm. There is a parking garage right near the hotel for $12 a day. The king room is very spacious with a huge bathroom! Would be nice if the bathroom had a tub as well, but the shower was fantastic.

The staff was very nice and helped us out with transportation to our event. The rooms look good and the beds are comfortable. I enjoyed our time there.

Not a bad stay but unremarkable. Bathroom doors are sliding style on tracks and thus don't offer 100 percent privacy. Breakfast took forever. Room was a bit warm. Clean, comfy bedding and great staff support.

We stayed here this weekend and I have not one single complaint. From the wonderful confirmation call from Alex, to the pleasant check in experience with Kathy to the great folks downstairs at Dockum, it was all perfect! We stayed for my sister's bachelorette party and some of it was a surprise, and you all were extremely accommodating in making that a success! She even chose this hotel to use for her stay for her wedding events as Devon was extremely helpful and accommodating with that! Thank you for making this such a great experience and can't wait to be back, Ambassador!

This place is one of the finest Hotels we have ever stayed in from the incredible room to the Siena Tuscan Restaurant and Bar to the basement Speak Easy Bartop notch and we will be back many more times. Chef you have got a unbelievable talent and your food is to die for.

We had a great experience at the Amassador Hotel in Wichita. It's a beautiful place to stay, the staff is very friendly and the rooms far exceeded our expectation. They are also pet friendly which was a huge help to us. I would definitely recommend the Ambassador to anyone looking for a great place to stay at a very good price.

We stayed in an Ambassador suite on the 8th floor, facing East. The suite was truly top notch, most especially for the price! and certainly for Wichita. We have stayed at many, very nice hotels both in the US and out of the US. The hotel and our room were equal to and better than many! We had wonderful service, a fantastic dinner at Siena, the hotel restaurant. The suite was extremely nice, large, very new, very clean, VERY WELL laid out and functional. The view, for Wichita, was actually pretty impressive, and you could see forever it seemed. We also had a view of the arena (which is short walk). The mini bar prices were excellent, non-alcoholic beverages were free and they had keurig coffeemakers instead of that positively awful "hearth room" coffee found at many Marriott brand hotels! I recommend this hotel to ALL out of towners and for a first class get away for locals! I want to add that I am shocked some other reviewers think this hotel is overpriced, I completely disagree!

Way overpriced and stupid room design. I would love to say that at least the staff was helpful and nice which generally in nicer places the staff is what makes the trip the most enjoyable, but no they were less than helpful. Hated it. Make it right Ambassador!

The hotel is truly beautiful but for the price you can do so much better in Wichita. The only thing that wasn't a hassle was checking in. My room was cleaned but they don't replace or fill supplies like coffee or shampoo or even towels. They take the dirty towels and don't replace with clean ones. I asked a co-traveler and they confirmed theirs were not replaced either. So you have to call for more shampoo or pack it. No mini fridge. Tv stops working at night and early morning (I tried at 5am). I had an issue with the corporate rate and the front desk was clueless and instead of getting me out of there for my flight, he chose to explain why he can't help me. I finally had to just leave and I still don't have a bill emailed. I'm not sure what is up with plumbing but I was woke up every@ 30 minutes by some rushing water and vibrations in the wall.

Tremendous service, but the gym doesn't have the necessary equipment for the amount of people that use it.

Was rudely interrupted by staff during my marriage proposal, no privacy AT ALL. Was unbelievably disappointed with the level of service we received, especially when we complained to the manager. They TOTALLY blew us off. It was over priced & only one handicapped parking space! never staying here again!

We had dinner with our friends at the Ambassador. Thus was second dining experience and the food was exquisite! We will definanatly go back.

Hotel itself was nice. Rooms are big. Restaurant is OK. But over priced. Over all I wouldn't spend that much money again to stay there. Meal was $75/plate. "salad" was two slices of tomato and a piece of mozzarella cheese. No breakfast included and only a $30 credit for meals included in our package. Too much for not a lot of anything. Probably won't stay again.

Unfortunately I'll never stay at this hotel again after many stays in the past. My car was towed from their 15 minute parking place and never to this day has anybody said "I'm sorry". Management at this hotel knows noting of hospitality service. I was welling to stay again for a credit of $250, the cost of retrieving my car, but they wanted to lay blame and not resolve this issue by saving the customer. Really sad. I liked the hotel and have stayed many times and spent thousands of dollars but management doesn't get it. Jack Deboer will be delighted to have my business!

Had the most wonderful experience staying at the ambassador hotel. The whole staff from valet to concierge was warm and friendly. I strongly encourage everyone to stay here when you need a place to stay in wichita!

There is no airport shuttle. There is a car guests can reserve. I arrived At the airport Friday at 9pm, called for the shuttle and was told other guests has reserved it for the evening (read Strip Clubs? ) and I'd have to take a cab. $20. I had an early flight Saturday morning and had to take another cab, shuttle starts at 7am. The place is a joke, no one cares. I was never asked how my stay was. Don't stay here, if you do you'll be sorry!

My wife and I stayed at the Ambassador hotel for our honeymoon, and we had a fantastic time! The room was beautiful, and the hotel staff was incredibly professional, friendly, and helpful! I give two thumbs up and a big recommend!

I travel extensively year-round and stay exclusively at Marriott properties. Hands-down this is the top property I've stayed at this year (including Ritz Carlton properties). The rooms are huge, mine had a walk-in closet. Bathrooms were massive, with granite base-boards. Premium soaps and shampoos were a nice touch. The staff was extremely friendly and attentive. I was highly impressed with the Ambassador brand and wouldn't have found it if they weren't part of the Marriott Autograph Collection. Anytime I am in Wichita I will be staying here without a doubt.

My husband and I stayed here for our wedding night. We were blown away by the decor and how beautiful and modern everything was. The staff was great, and we definitely suggest the french toast for breakfast! Couldn't believe the affordable price for a Corner King compared to other hotels in town. We will be visiting again!

We booked a hotel room for 5 and when we got there after 11 hours of traveling, the lady at the front desk told us that there was not a room for 5 people unless we wanted to put 3 people in one bed. We waited in the lobby for 20 minutes waiting on possibly getting a roll away bed before she told us that there was not one and there were no other options, and as we were walking out of the hotel she had the audacity to say to us "good luck finding another hotel tonight. " Terrible service at what should be a fantastic hotel!

Great staff. Rooms are huge, clean, and gorgeous. Street below can get loud but that isn't their fault. Had a great stay here.

I travel Monday through Friday for work, so needless to say, I've stayed at a lot of properties. This property is definitely at the top of the list. Great rooms, attention to detail, and service.

Very nice hotel, comfortable, clean, good condition. Everything was great right up until check-out! The bartender added himself a very large tip on top of my already generous tip, and they've charged my card numerous times for random without my authorization. Check, double-check, and triple-check your bill upon checkout and make sure it matches up with all their various charges on your credit card bill.

Nicely remodeled hotel in an older building. The rooms are large and comfortable. Did notice some street noise even on the 12th floor but that's to be expected downtown.

The appearance of the hotel is very nice, but when I was asking for some extra towels and I didn't need any room service, I asked one of the maids for the towels and she blatantly ignored me, it seemed as though she did not know English and so I went to a few more maids and asked and still found that they seemed not to know English either. I could also hear maids from a few floors above me talking very loud in another language. I would hope there is English speaking maids for future references.

Our organization hosted an event there, renting a room and ordering catering from the on-site location. The location is convenient downtown, but parking is difficult. The people there were nice and friendly. The dinner was markedly late, cold when it arrived, and unimpressive overall. There was an added fee for almost everything, nickle and diming the event to be over budget. We were also invoiced incorrectly, overcharged by quite a bit. Would not recommend again for a venue.

Stayed for a week for a business trip! Love it and the people who work there are very nice. Felt like a queen there.
