Best hotel stay EVER! Would definitely recommend. Absolutely the BEST experience I've ever had! Upon arriving I was greeted at the front desk and offered fresh and warm double tree cookies for the whole family. The receptionist was professional and just a complete sweetheart. We booked 2 rooms. One king and one double room with queen beds. She worked things out to where they were side by side with conjoining doors which was awesome. Entering the room, I was very impressed. 2 water bottles were set out for us to wash down the yummy cookies. The king bed was freshly made with crisp sheets and pillows and everything smelled and felt clean.
The bathroom was EMACULATE! With a tiled walk in shower big enough for 2 people. Perfect water temperature and pressure. We were in heaven! My favorite part though was the secondary door that led STRAIGHT into the INDOOR pool/spa area with sky lighting. It was amazing! The pool was massive and went to atleast 7 ft and there was a seperate hot tub. The asthetics were beautiful. We didn't eat breakfast but the spread looked delicious as we were checking out. The associate noticed we were skipping breakfast and sent us with some fresh cookies for the road. I will 100% be staying again as well as recommending to everyone!

Nice hotel and room but bed is hard and no microwave in room. Also pool is not enclosed and could hear a child throwing up in pool area while eating breakfast.

What a FANTASTIC EXPERIENCE! The rooms are VERY NICE, ESPECIALLY FOR THE PRICE! The staff could NOT HAVE BEEN FRIENDLIER! I left a pair of pants, they were quickly mailed out to me. Just a great experience!

Great room, service, and atmosphere.

This place is gross. There are much better and nicer facilities in Lawrence. The gm david merrywell is a liar. Completely patronizing and rude. I was overcharged $1900 on my credit card at check in for deposits (1 room) while traveling… huge mess. My whole family flew in to visit our father who pre booked and payed for all the rooms. Tons of overcharges. Review your bills. Especially if you are elderly. The pool was filthy and looked like sewage water. County inspector came while we were there… We chose to all immediately end our stay there early and move to a much nicer, cleaner facility. This place is GARBAGE with horrible customer service. This was a second chance for this place. Wished we hadn’t. First time we should of learned. Do yourself a favor and book elsewhere.

Everything was Great, we live here and did our family Christmas weekend but sadly the Breakfast was $12 and we knew this but it was Terrible. Chef was rude and was missing in action. 9:30 am everything was 95% empty very disappointed. Tables were dirty. Waitress was Nice and apologized.

Wonderful breakfast with lots of fresh fruit, homemade oatmeal with nuts, cinnamon, yogurt with fresh fruit, eggs bacon sausage, biscuit and gravy and much more. Buffet was very clean as well.

This is a beautiful hotel, very friendly staff and comfortable, very clean rooms! Attended a NASA Powerlifting Meet… great big rooms and nice bathrooms! Hope to come back for another meet!

The Double Tree was clean and very accommodating! I have a down allergy and they were quick to bring me non down pillows and blankets. The staff is fantastic. Thank you for your hospitality.

The room was nice, and I really enjoyed the quality of the linens and pillows. In addition, I really liked the lavender shampoos, lotions, and soaps. Rather than just plain toiletries, I appreciated the extra step further to add the lavender. My only complaint would be about the indoor pool. Because the pool is in the middle of the lobby, the view from our window was of the pool down below. I would have liked have been given a choice of being able to look down at the pool or a window facing outside. Without having the view of outside, it seemed like it was more difficult to keep track of time.

We stayed with our dog while making our way home from vacation. We were pleasantly surprised by both the price & the quality of the hotel. It was clean, modern and service was good. I decided to order room service for breakfast as a surprise for my husband. Generally speaking, I don't expect much from room service, but we were surprised to receive restaurant quality food. The poached eggs & sautéed spinach were amazing! We would definitely stay at this hotel again if we were ever in the area.

The hotel room was spacious, beautifully decorated, and very clean. The pool is incredibly well designed in an atrium. The water was a great temp and clean. The beds we're so comfortable and the pillows we're so comfy that I wrote down the brand. I took a star off because there was obvious water damage on the ceiling of our room in several places but it wasn't falling in. The staff, pool, beds, and pillows make it a great place to stay regardless.

While the facility itself was really nice and tucked away near a lot of safe neighborhoods, I feel as if I were put into a room that was not well cared for. I'm not sure if all the rooms are like this or if it's because I redeemed Hotel points because the lobby and all the common areas were very nice. My rooms carpet was dingy like it had not been vacuumed too well, the shower was modified and the tile did not go all around the nozzle so there were open spaces that went into the wall, the toilet did not flush properly, the coldest setting on the refrigerator was fairly cool on the inside. I will admit I did not say anything because these problems evolved over the time I was there and I did not feel like I really couldn't suffer through it for one night. Unfortunately to make things worse the people in the room next to me with the shared door had a dog and they left their dog at 4: 30 in the morning, which the dog started whining and howling and I ended up having to get up and leave because I couldn't sleep. I did order room service and it was delicious! Everyone was friendly on site and it was a nice location, I just wish it had been cleaner or my room had been taken care of better.

I regret not doing more research before making reservation… the price for the room was ideal, but I had no idea that the breakfast wasn't included, or that it would cost SO much, $30 for 2 people!? We couldn't even eat that much, but it was good, just not THAT good. We were beyond upset that we had planned to stay in and eat dinner at the hotel bar&grill, only to find out their menu was very minimal, not at all what was advertised on the internet — the pool being smack dab in the middle of the hotel was odd, and the tile surrounding it was very dangerous — SO slippery! Room was oddly humid, I agree with others, everything felt wet!? Even some candy got sticky in the room, We only stayed for 1 night, thank goodness… location was great & convenient, young lady that checked us in was great, but the whole experience was "just okay". We were expecting more from a Double Tree… what happened…? ugh!

Worst DoubleTree we've been to, hotel is extremely humid do to the indoor pool, clearly the air system and venting is not good, it is giving me horrible problems with my asthma. We have maintenance in our room, this is our first night here, the toilet seat was beyond loose, peeling and should have been replaced before now. The employees have been less than helpful, weren't sure where the ice machine was or the laundry. Good luck if you stay here, we are Hilton diamond members and we will not stay here again. Not entirely sure the humidity is all the pool, there has been water leaks as you can see on the ceiling tiles, we are on the first floor. Also I went to do laundry and the washing machine was disgusting. You need to be 4ft for the toilets or you need a grab rail to get up, my husband is 6'3", long legs it really doesn't work for people like him. On the positive side, maintenance was here in no time, tried to fix the toilet seat but finally had to replace it, great job. Room service was quick, food was very good so it wasn't too big of a deal that there wasn't much close for food choices.

A very nice hotel. The rooms are very clean. The decor in the rooms are very nice. The service you receive from the staff is excellent. They are friendly and courteous! They have a very nice breakfast with an omelet station. We will be back next year for Grand Chapter OES — PHA Kansas Jurisdiction.

I was on the 4th floor and got upgraded to an extended king room! The bed was very comfortable, the temperature of the room was easy to control and I was very pleased with the cleanliness. The only down side was that my room was connected to the room next door and I could pretty clearly hear my neighbors as they ran water and opened and closed doors. I would definitely recommend this hotel or stay again!

This is a beautiful hotel. Has very comfy beds, gorgeous bathrooms, very clean pool BUT for the price, they do not offer free breakfast. I feel that is ridiculous! I am paying hundred and something for this room but you can't offer me a free breakfast? That I do not like at all.

Very comfortable stay. The staff is very friendly and super nice. Restaurant and bar in house is always a plus!

Solid hotel overall. Rooms were nice, pool and gym facilities adequate. Breakfast was pretty good. Location isn't great for a lot, though, you have to go quite a ways to get any food.

Went to the hotel bar for happy hour. Golden was our bar tender. Drinks were great.

Last night our youngest came home after being deployed for a year. We wanted to go out for a welcome home dinner. Your restaurant was fantastic! The bartender and our server payed for our sons meal. I don't remember our servers name but he and his fiance come to Tonganoxie. Fantastic place. We will definately be back. Thanks for a great night!

This is a very nice hotel. Especially if you have children or if you need a conference center for a business event. The location is close to I-70 and the magnificent Massachusetts street in Lawrence. The staff is very attentive and courteous. The rooms are spacious, the beds and pillows are very soft. The room that I stayed in does not have a tub, just a shower. They do not have wall units for heating/cooling in the rooms as most hotels do, but instead have a like central AC/heat configuration. It was refreshing to see and very effective. They have a small shop for snacks, drinks and a small assortment of travel necessities in the event you forget a brush or toothpaste. The only downside is that, as with most places, you will pay a premium for those items versus getting them from a store nearby. Overall I had a great stay.

I have stayed at this location a few times. Standard DoubleTree. Good location right by the highway and not far from food. Breakfast is decent. Exercise equipment is pretty good, for a hotel. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Most likely, I will stay here again when I visit Topeka.

The Wi-Fi works well. The staff is friendly and helpful. I heard a few noises outside my room late at night but overall it was pretty quiet. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable.

Modern, updated hotel with nice rooms. Stayed in a double queen bed room where the bathroom was nice and spacious and didn't have to trip over the toilet when getting out of the shower. Beds were comfortable and the room overall was very modern with a large TV. I checked into the hotel after 1 a. M. Where I expected most people to be asleep, but the people in the room next to me where still in and out of their room and very loud and having the connecting door to their room didn't help. I was too tired to try and request a room that didn't have a connecting door so had to deal with these people. They were in and out of their room and loud until at least 3 a. M. And were up and back to being loud by 8 a. M. If you're staying here, try and make sure you have a room that doesn't have a connecting door since the door is paper thin and you will hear the neighbors talking and opening and closing the door.

I'm only here for a short stay hence the 3 star. Beautiful rooms, nice bathrooms, awesome indoor pool and hot tub. Friendly staff…

They have very nice catered options. The staff is friendly when I do see them. I've been to many events here and the drinks are wonderful. I really enjoy the cleanliness of the building and they have some great artwork on the walls!

Rooms were clean and we were able to check in early. Bonus was a indoor marke. We were able to roam around and sample the food and pick up a few Christmas gifts also. Staff was super helpful and nice. Location was right off the interstate so this was easy to find and is located next to a Phillips 66.

Very clean! Awesome fitness room! Equipment is up to date and in good shape! Wish the lights were not so bright or had a dimmer for fitness room. Pool is beautiful and hot tub is large! Been to a ton of hotels and I’m very impressed!

Good location. Nicely updated hotel with plenty of conference space as well as a pool and hot tub in the atrium. Staff interactions were pleasant. There is a bar and grill with local brews and decent food. Breakfast is buffet or menu order, and there are made to order omelettes on the buffet. Good quality.

The room was clean, and the bed was very comfortable. Staff were friendly and helpful. It appeared to have been recently remodeled.

Great hotel stay! Checked in around 9:00 pm and went to restaurant for some food! Food was great! Room is nice! All the comforts of home! Pool is in front of our room so I’m glad no wild parties in the pool! Mgt nice. GM personally welcomes us at breakfast today and when we got back from KU he was very interested in our day! I was a DT employee in Dallas! Warm cookies always a welcome joy!

I attended a local awards ceremony that was held at the Double Tree. The space was lovely and modern and the food was delicious. Food and drink service was a little slow, but i'll give them the benefit of the doubt and assume it was a rough night or maybe they were short staffed. My only real complaint is the dress that the wait staff were in. I noticed several waiters in sweats and t shirts while serving at a black tie event. In no way did that impact the actual service; on the contrary every staff member I interacted with was professional, courteuous, and working extremely hard to make sure the guests were having a lovely time. I just think Double Tree could invest in some uniforms or something. Or at the very least, spruce up the dress code a bit.

Very nice hotel. With almost every amenity that you can imagine. Breakfast is exceptional. I would stay here again.

Just renovated from a holiday inn. Nice looking room. Bed old mattress with topper thrown on top. Still sloped to center. Toilet would not flush without hittng valve in stand to get it to flow. Lady at front desk ran our card, said it wouldn't go, tried it again, and said " oh it says pending" next day there were three different charges for the room on our card. Took three phone calls and getting the credit card company involved until it was straightened out. Expect more from a three hundred dollar a day hotel. Comfort Inn across road is one third the cost, twice as nice.

Stayed the day for a women's event. Only one bathroom for all the ballrooms, lines were long for ladies. Facility was clean & appeared to be new, chairs in ballroom were very comfortable. Ate lunch in Blvd restaurant; menu was limited but diverse, food was fresh and hot.

Had our wedding party stay here. We worked with the catering and the front desk. Everything worked out wonderfully. We were there the night before and of a football game and still got a good night's rest.

Had a good stay at this DoubleTree. The rooms were clean and we'll updated. The only issue in the room was a poorly draining sink. But the amenities we're good. The in house restaurant, while having high Google reviews, was only mediocre in our experience. High price with okay food.

Hotel was nice. In the Jacuzzi the jets come out of the seat which was strange. Alec working the bar was absolutely fantastic and we had a great time!

I liked the hotel and it's accommodations. There was a restaurant and bar down in the lobby that seemed good but I didn't have a chance to get it this visit. Staff was helpful but needed to clean up outside the hotel area. The back parking lot was not pleasant looking.

AC is only just adequate, unable to cope with the humidity, and the sheets always felt damp. The room was none too large and had a pronounced odor, like it had had a smoker in it before, even though that is not allowed. We requested the room to be made up so it would be ready when we returned in the afternoon. Got back at 2:30 and it had not been touched. Not good. On the plus side, the breakfast buffet was good, with very nice waiters and a young man who made excellent omelets. The front desk staff were also very nice and accommodating.

Great bartenders and good food. Great place to meet with a group. Have seen several wedding receptions held there and they always have fun.

The beds and pillows are the most comfortable I've slept in at a hotel. Convenient location just off of the interstate. Would definitely stay again.

Major renovations being done. Anyone with allergies DO NOT STAY HERE. No where did it mention that the workmen would be sawing, hammering, drilling, pounding, starting between 7:30-7:45 AM every morning. Management should have let us know of the chaos and disruptions. Pool area was used to store tables desks chairs file cabinets computers, nothing was covered so everything had plasterboard dust and saw dust on it, including in the rooms. One morning I awoke to a man outside my window drilling, this was before 8AM. Had a headache for 4 mornings not only the noise but the plaster dust. Will have to really think a long time about staying here again because of Managements Lack of Consideration to the customer.

I thought that using the spare room at the holiday inn is always a great experience! I love having church services there and the kids love it too! I'm so thankful that we have a place to go for church!

Room was okay — not enough outlets though. Everything else was pretty good, especially the areas under construction.

Caleb was super Awesome. And my Daughter thought he was Cute. Rowan also was a really big help. The room smelled but other than that I enjoyed my stay.

If there was a no star, I would post it. We stayed in room 143 & Doritos were in floor and looked like someone had been murdered in there. Red stains all over carpet. Pictures on website, have to be from a different holiday inn. They say amenities lol. Wifi sucks, charged for anything even down to a room key. Worse stay ever. Stay somewhere else.

It was fine. Didn't spend much time in the room and the Wi-Fi was slow.
