My daughter and I stayed at DoubleTree Hilton in Columbus, GA while in town for a swim meet. Every single staff member greeted us, and every single staff member we encountered asked how we were doing and waited for a response. The front desk staff remembered the next morning that my daughter was here for a swim meet and made an encouraging comment to her as we headed out to the aquatic center. Again at check out our experience was personalized as I was asked about what events she was swimming at the meet. Just above and beyond in the best way possible. Genuinely kind people who are clearly proud of where they work and what they do. Super clean rooms and a great night’s sleep.

The overnight Receptionist provided me with quality customer service & accommodated my requests without questions due to the fact of me expressing "how tired I was" from traveling all day from plane to car🛩🛣🚙🙄🥱✋. Thank you ma'am!

Went to the makeup sale there and it was a nice set up. There was so much to choose from. It was spread out nicely. The people were helpful and friendly. I may just go back today to get more items. Oh and the prices were great.

Rooms were unacceptable. We promptly left 35-45 min after arrival after trying two different rooms.
I was told that my card was going to be refunded, however today I got an emailed receipt and when I called the desk I was told that they showed that I stayed all weekend.
I’ll supposedly get a call from a manager tomorrow. However, this is unacceptable. Problems like this should be handled immediately.

This was one of the best places I have stayed! They had everything clean and beautiful upon my arrival. They even had the roses I requested placed on the bed. Very Beautiful and everyone was so nice and professional! I would highly recommend! Plus the cookies were to die for! Amazing!

King size bed was amazingly comfortable. Great location in front a bar and a restaurant. Driving wise it's close to a lot of great places to go to. Construction going on is the bad thing about this location. Woke up with the knocking going on around 7 AM and again around 10 AM.

Staffs enhances pleasant atmosphere. They give delicious and big evening cookie treats. This was our 2nd stay and I have no complaints. Did not give 5 stars because many hotels with same rates offer free breakfast so it would be nice if they did too ☺lol.

The premises are very clean and tidy. Some light renovations we're going on during our visit, but nothing intrusive. The pool is very nice, especially during the hot summer months. The staff are quite friendly and helpful. Breakfast is not included if that is something you are interested in.

Room smelled carpet was dirty. Pool was dirty. Bed had a big dip in it. I've stayed at the red roof inn for 60 and it was 100 x better. Only reason it gets a 2 star is because the staff was amazing and the girl at houlihans went over and beyond for us at breakfast. Never again.

I had a few issues with the TV in my room. Also, the toilet kept running every couple minutes while I was trying to sleep. These are minor issues that were taken care of. The front desk customer service was great. They apologized sincerely when I went down and spoke with them. Specifically, Brittany was fantastic. She represents the hotel well with her smile and kindness. I received a call from the GM, Jennifer, and she was very sincere when she apologized for my inconvenience. She is a true professional who went above and beyond to make sure that I was a satisfied guest. This was customer service at its best, and will keep me as a loyal Hilton Honors member! Thank you Jennifer and Brittany for your excellent customer service!

If I could give 0 star I would. This hotel is only good for the pool in the name. Rooms are extremely out dated doors with wholes in them, beds worn out they sink to the ground if we could've got our money back in changed hotels we would have but we were told we'll be charged even if we left. Bugs, spiders, even roaches OMG the worst experience. They didn't even have anymore blankets so olny received sheets. The toilet kept running, water was coming from the bottom of it. I came all the from Miami for my family reunion to experience a disgrace for 3days I will never stay here or advice anyone to.

My stay was very good! I specially want to thank Bryan for being very helpful and getting us to where we need to go I specially recommend win going to ask for BRYAN if you need any help whatsoever.

The Asian chopped salad in the Thai wings are awesome. Try the firecracker shrimp, you will not be disappointed. Clean restaurant and very pleasant staff.

My go-to place in Columbus GA. Love the breakfast buffet and the late night bar. It's conveniently close to other restaurants and stores.

Love this hotel. The rooms are updated, nice comfortable beds. The employees are nice, they greet you with a smile on their face.

The Hotel was very clean and the staff was courteous, even when I accidentally blew the fuse in our room they had our lights back on in minutes!

The lobby was nice and most people there were very friendly. The room itself was dirty but not because it was not cleaned it was more of a dirty rug. I usually stay at the Hampton Inn and I was expecting a lot better because I know that the Doubletree is supposed to be slightly better however I am definitely staying with Hampton Inn from now on. There was no complimentary breakfast which was also very disappointing.

Really nice hotel with friendly staff. The hotel is located in a perfect spot. All shopping and restaurants are located within a mile or 2 from the hotel. Let's not forget, Houlihans is located downstairs, and they do send food to your room from the restaurant!

Every day the hotel manager parks his Lincoln town car in the driveway to the entrance of the hotel. They also let people park in the drive way at night time so if you are trying to load your vehicle to get out of the rain — you cannot pull through because the staff has all thier cars parked there. If you have to load a bunch if people in the van every morning this gets very annoying.

Fitness center is inexcusably inadequate. They don't even have a place to sit. There is a dumbbell rack, yet no bench! Not even a chair! I guess you could lie down on the treadmill and lift weights… Also, the gym is hard to find. There is zero signage and it's hidden in a corner on the second floor. Seriously, there isn't a single sign. Hope you like adventures! … Other than the atrocious gym, the hotel is normal. Nothing great, nothing bad. The surrounding area doesn't seem too great, but it's not notably bad. Maids are super friendly which is nice.

I was shocked that this hotel was a member of the Hilton family. It is in dyer need of a remodel. The pillow were the size of couch throw pillows. I called 3 times for 2 extra and never received them. Better mattresses can be purchased at Sam's club. The tub was non-existent and the showers doors allowed the water to floor the bathroom. For the price I would have expected breakfast to be included. I think I will stick with LaQuinta from now on.

Check in/out was a process due to only having one person at the desk. I had to wait in line for my breakfast coupon's two times and the second time I waited 15 minutes. Other staff were in and out and didn't even make eye contact with me. I had to switch rooms for my second night and I left my $130 hairdryer in room and when I realized I had left it and called it hadn't been turned in by housekeeping. I asked for a manager to call me and it's been 12 hours and I still haven't received a call. I'm super disappointed in front desk staff and the total disregard for the customer. I do not recommend staying here.

I didn't stay at the hotel. I went to eat at the restaurant connected to it. It was horrible. It took forever to be seated. And once we were seated (near the noisy kitchen) our server came right out and took our drink order. A simple sweet tea and water. We didn't see her any more. We were left waiting so long that we had no choice but to leave.

As always, Robert and the staff are extremely courteous and friendly. The power green salad is my go to meal, but the freshly baked chocolate chip walnut cookies are my secret guilty pleasure. Always a great experience.

Great location. Close to shopping, restaurants and the base. Great have a restaurant and bar attached. Rooms are always clean and staff always nice. Price is good for the area and level of service.

Very friendly staff there. They always say good morning and thank you for staying with us. The breakfast is good over at Houlihans, dinner is great as well. Wi-Fi is very good as I never experienced any issues. My favorite part of the hotel is in the evening around 5pm they visit each room and knock to see if you would like one of their famous double chocolate chip cookies, and they have single servings of milk to go with it! How awesome is that!

It was a very nice stay. The staff are extremely nice, and the rooms are more than adequate. Houlian's, the attached restaurant, was a great place to have both breakfast and dinner! I would definitely stay there again.

We stayed in room 210 and the king size bed was terrible. There was a huge dip in the center of the mattress and it hurt my back to "sleep" in, the short time I was actually able to sleep due to the discomfort. A/C was a bit wonky as well and didn't want to stay on cool the first night. Got it working properly after some fiddling.

Rooms were great. Service was great. Restaurant cooking needs more experienced cook.

Overall the hotel is nice. Very clean and friendly staff. Just weird little things. Not enough towels in the room. No hooks to hang towels. Difficult shower to maneuver but every hotel is different. It would be handy to have something to go for breakfast in the morning. My friend hated the pillows but I liked them. Area is not the best but we felt safe.

I've been a Hilton rewards member for years because i've never had a bad stay. The folks at the DoubleTree got us situated quickly and the pool looked really njce (it was 94 degrees, so that may have been a factor). We had to check out well before breakfast, but one of the morning crew ducked into the kitchen and made us coffee to go. That's awesome customer service. The rooms (Mine was on the 5th floor) had some bubbles in the popcorn ceiling and the wood trim around the hotel is a little beat, but still a darn fine room and reasonably priced.

Went to the Houlihans in the hotel. Very good food, great service. The only downside is the drink menu feels as though it is pandering to the millennial-aged patrons. The Kansas City Burger was great, though.

Check-in was easy. The employees were very courteous. The room was clean. It is a really nice hotel.

The beds are only full size and the dinner menu was extremely limited. The staff here are the best I've had! The beds are comfy, the room clean enough, Wi-Fi is good and the bed and breakfast rate is worth it.

Doubletree Columbus was absolutely wonderful while we were evacuating Hurricane Irma. They assisted us in any way possible. The hotel is very nice, the beds are incredibly comfortable as well as the pillows. They use Crabtree and Evelyn products in the bathroom. We had some special requests being hurricane evacuees and they helped in every way we needed it.

Nice staff. Everything was clean. Pool was a little dirty but nothing major. Good stay.

I really enjoy my stay at DoubleTree by Hilton in Columbus Ga the staff was very friendly. The room, bathroom (tub) very clean. I will recommend my friends to stay I will stay again. Oh yes the breakfast was great also. To make a long story short everything was.

I attended a seminar and lunch was provided. The staff was friendly, attentive and efficient. The room was clean and appropriately decorated for our event. Lastly the food was plentiful and delicious.

We at ate the Houlihans restaurant located in the hotel. The staff was very friendly and we were promptly seated. The food was excellent and delivered in a timely manner. Overall a great experience.

Definitely does not live up to the DoubleTree name. It looks like they got halfway through a renovation and then stopped, almost everything is beyond dated and passed into worn out. During our stay an event was being hosted in their ballroom… and their lobby. It was the opposite of inviting being forced to be part of the party. Because the event wanted everyone going in and out through a certain set of doors, they ziptied the other exits closed. There is no way that zip tying exits doors passes fire code. I alerted the front desk and they did not care. The young man shrugged with a smirk and turned away. The other two front desk employees stifled laughter at my concern. The event's bouncer noticed me pointing towards his party and asked what was wrong, I told him about the zip tied exits, he actually cared and realized the danger. The remodel needs to be finished (or really, started over) and the staff needs some serious retraining. Until that happens, avoid this property.

I have to say my family and I truly enjoyed our 3 night stay. From the housekeepers to managers everyone was truly friendly and professional. The restaurant on the grounds was fantastic! We ate there for breakfast, lunch and dinner and all three times the staff and food was great! We will definitely return.

Great hotel, always love my stays here. Two small pet peeves. There were no laundry bags in my closet, I had to ask for one at the front desk and after room cleaning they still didn't leave any in the closet. Secondly, for as higher end as I consider them the in room coffee is pretty poor quality. They need to get rid of the Cuisinarts and bring in Keurig.
Beyond that, the rooms are always clean, the front desk friendly and helpful. On this stay with the Miss Georgia Pageant going on in town I was having difficulty getting a second night for my stay through the reservation service. I called the hotel and they were able to get me a second night added to my reservation. Thank you sincerely.

Great experience! The staff members were all very helpful and courteous. The shuttle was a bonus for us… thanks, Jesse, and the rooms were clean and spacious. The breakfast bar provided a wonderful selection, and the cookies are delicious!

One of the worst hotel stays ever! Dirty bathroom, towels, recycled bar soap and room not serviced until 6pm. When I spoke to the lady who was supposed to clean my room, she had an attitude and made excuses why she was late. The room was somewhat serviced later but a dirty towel was left and no floor mat was left. The toilet bowl was dirty since I checked in and never cleaned. Also, after I checked in and went to my room, I noticed the desk chair was broken and I couldn't raise the chair up. I called the front desk and they said someone would be right up. I sat "on the floor" for an hour until engineering finally came up. The shower is very badly designed. You have to go into the glass shower enclosure to turn on the water which means you get cold water on you each time. There's no way to avoid it. I brought all of these issues to the front desk's attention on several occasions and when I checked out the clerk didn't seem to care at all about the issues. My recommendation is that you look elsewhere if you want a quality hotel to stay in.

So I have been a Marriott lady for years. I wasn't able to secure reservations recently for a trip my husband and I had to make to Phenix City, Alabama, so we allowed some HHilton fans to take care of our hotel arrangements. To our surprise they did VERY WELL! The hotel staff was so warm, accommodating and helpful! The bellman (Jonathon) was absolutely amazing as well! I don't normally sleep well on my first night at a new hotel, but I am in the bed and feeling safe already!

Very friendly staff. Several members of the staff, including the janitorial staff, asked us if our rooms were suitable. It's a very nice hotel. My only complaint is that it doesn't have any type of breakfast in the mornings.

My favorite place to stay in Columbus. The recent renovations have updated the look. The Houlihan's is great for happy hour. You can get full on just the appetizers. The breakfast buffet is a great way to start the day. Even rooms have poolside views.

HORRIBLE Customer Service! Made an accidental (human) error in booking at this hotel for a specific night, needing to change it to a night within the following week. As a Hilton Honors member, I figured they would have some level of customer service and be willing to work with me. WRONG! Worse experience ever as I repeatedly begged for them to work with me as a 1X courtesy. Nothing — completely unwilling. Will be switching back to Marriott! Never received that level of disrespect there!

After having an awful experience with the hotel we actually booked we came over here hoping we'd actually get a bed to sleep in for the night and we did! The overnight front desk girl was absolutely amazing and so sweet! And the man who helped us with our luggage was kind and cared about us as guests. I believe his name was William Young. Our room was clean and so is the hotel. They didn't have milk in the gift shop but it's so close to everything, Walmart included that it doesn't matter.

Decent hotel, though it is showing it's age, a bit rough Around the edges. Other hilton properties in town are nicer.

Lobby and rooms were very clean. Desk lady was very polit and helpful. Lost my keys and they were very helpful finding them.

The staff was very courteous. Rooms were very spacious with comfortable beds. The shower was wonderful.

Perfect. I couldn't find one thing to complain about and usually due. I wish all hotels were run like this one. Fantastic service. Staff waited on me hand and foot. Wow! The property is conveniently located within the better area of Columbus GA with lots of restaurant choices in walking distance. Although one of the best places to eat is actually Houlihan's which is the attached hotel restaurant. Did I mention the unbelievable great service? Even the housekeeping staff made efforts to say hello. The breakfast reminds me of the day's when you looked forward to eating. The buffet was super fresh with a flow of chefs and staff taking great pride to make sure everything was as it should be. The eggs were perfect and very fresh, the potatoes? very tasty. You can choose Buffet or menu option. Lots of fresh fruits, juices etc. I sure hope Hilton Chain recognizes this property and the extreme efforts this hotel offers making the guest feel comfortable. I still can't get over how well this property is managed and maintained. I couldn't imagine staying anywhere else in Columbus, GA. Wish they were all this way! I travel 200+ days a year on business and rarely find positive reasons to post positive reviews. Great Job guys.

I stayed here because my son is station in Fort Benning. We both have bed bug bites! Please address this as it has completely ruined me from ever staying in a hotel again.

Front desk was great, rooms clean, and located around nice food spots. Needs more TV channels if ur a TV person.

Just got done with a stay at this location and felt that the other reviews caused me to greatly underestimate this hotel. I've stayed in a few hotels in this price range (~100 for a basic room) and I found my room here to be well-decorated, well appointed with quality modern amenities, and being a very pleasant place overall to stay. Additionally, the internet was free just by signing up for the free Hilton Honors program and so was the excellent breakfast served in the attached Houlihan's restaurant. Good location is icing on the cake for this facility. Staff were courteous and friendly as well. My only complaint was that one of the elevators broke while we were there and I was told one unlucky couple had previously gotten stuck in it.

I travel a lot and stay in lots of different hotels and hands down I have had the worse experiences in a long time at this hotel location. The first time I stayed I was awakened by construction workers drilling into the wall behind my headboard. The second time I stayed there were hairs on my my towels in bathroom and half drank bottles of water in the cooler. Not to mention they are priced at the top of the price range for rooms and they do not even included Wi-Fi or internet access. I am a restaurant consultant and do not check in most of the till late in the evening and still have to leave early in the morning, but to ask guests to pay $10 for Wi-Fi for a (no more than 8 hour stay) is ridiculous. If your staying in columbus ga, I would strongly suggest staying in another hotel.
