The staff here is great they’ve done some nice renovations of late and it’s a tremendous location. The sunset views are incredible I definitely recommend if you’re going to be in Tampa.

The dolphin 🐬 watching is absolutely beautiful from the harbor side/poolside. I would definitely stay again. Great restaurants close by. They are updating so I can't really complain about the rooms, our room was gorgeous with a view of Manatee & Dolphin.

Love the pool and the view from pool and concierge helpful with 4equest for dinning. Out and attraction in area.

My friend reserved a room for me and had everything taken care of before I arrived, including the payment and authorization form to process his payment over the phone. When I arrived I was informed there was a small deposit, no problem I could use my card for that. I was reassured by the clerk I would not be charged for anything but the deposit. Upon getting the key I got an alert my card was charged for the full amount of the room. After I expressed my concern I was told it would be refunded. A week later I notice my card was charged again. My friends card was refunded and mine was recharged for no reason! We took all the steps to ensure his card would be charged. This is a horrible practice by their accounting department and I will never stay with Hilton again. My other issue is my room number was said not once but TWICE out loud in front of other guests. As someone who frequently travels alone, I can tell you this has never happened before and any other hotel. The Hilton not only has accounting issues but they truly do not care for the safety of their guests. Never again, I’d rather drive out of my way and pay double at another hotel.

Michael and Caesar were great. Very exceptional customer service. Fantastic. Gave us the whole run down, and got us situated in Tampa. Pretty much our guides to the city.

We paid so much money for a room on first floor with door to pool area never got it. Rooms were small and we set air conditioner to 65 and at night it was so hot. Not worth the stay.

Been staying here for 5 months. Great place to stay. Great location. Easy access to everything.

When we got to our room, it was 80 degrees and the air wouldn’t work. The maintenance guy, Jake, was in our room so quick and had our air conditioner fixed with 30 mins. He was very courteous, funny, and helpful! My husband and I really appreciated how prompt he was, and our room was 70 degrees within an hour! The hotel is beautiful, all the staff are friendly, and the view from our room looks like it came out of a magazine! Definitely recommend this hotel; we are very impressed!

The entire staff is an such a joy up beat and the view is awesome and the heated pool is lovely.

Our wedding was at DoubleTree by Hilton Rocky Point Waterfront on 10/10/20. It turned out to be an absolutely perfect day. The view for an outdoor ceremony there is absolutely stunning if you want a water view but not necessarily a beach wedding. Michele was awesome on our wedding day. She coordinated who needed to be where and made sure the ceremony went off without a hitch. Unfortunately our ceremony had to be moved to an inside banquet room due to the pavilion being taken down due to covid. However, our inside reception still turned out perfect. The food was fantastic. Guests had nothing but great things to say about our dinner menu. The wait staff and Q were awesome. A guest favorite at our wedding was the bartender. The staff was so great to my family and friends. Our room was really nice. It was more than big enough to serve as the getting ready room. The view from our room was absolutely incredible too. Overall, I am so happy with how our wedding weekend turned out at the DoubleTree Rocky Point location.

I wanted to write a nice review for Ashley who was amazing! She allowed for a late check out on Father’s Day and allowed us to stay at the pool as long as we wanted. After we did eventually check out to enjoy the amazing pool and view… She was generous enough to keep our belongings at the front desk until we left, so that we didn’t have to interrupt our Father’s Day by leaving early or packing our car until we were ready… The rooms were not only prestine, they smelt great (please share what you use). I will definitely be coming back. We also wanted to thank the original girl (sorry didn’t catch name) at the front who checked us in for upgrading our room to view the amazing sunset, I explained how we originally booked a room across the street at the Godfrey and upon check in they told me that they were booked and said sorry and chuckled. Their hotel was out of control and very loud, so glad we found this gem it was perfect, clean and quite for our family… Thanks a million for your hospitality and we can’t wait to come back soon…

Rooms are spacious and comfortable, although booking directly with the hotel staff and not being informed about the pool being closed was very disappointing. They also advertised 25% discount if you find a lower rate than they offer, but do not honor it : (

Number one they’re doing construction in this hotel and they don’t tell you number to the pool does not work number three the staff is incredibly rude it is way overpriced number four I didn’t feel the need to have a Chinese fire drill at 3 o’clock in the morning at this hotel. I want to call room service for my daughter and eyes birthday today and was told they don’t do it and the guy was extremely rude the list of reasons why you shouldn’t stay at this garbage hotel can go on and on.

Customer service was excellent, the bartender makes amazing drinks. The food is good and server is super nice.

We stayed here for 2 nights because our son was getting married at the Rusty Pelican. Very nice stay. The room was spacious and comfortable. Staff was professional and curtious. Very large pool and comfortable seating with shade in pool area. Would stay here again for sure. And the warm cookie at check in was delicious!

We had a great time at the Double Tree on Labor Day Weekend. We spent most of our time by the pool, which is beautifully situated by Tampa Bay. The views are stunning! The sleeping rooms are spacious and clean. We will come back!

The location is great. Not sure if there are normally ongoing issues but there are only 2 elevators for a 7 story hotel and one is out of order. I also was informed that self parking is $5 a day. This was not on the Hilton App when I booked. The parking lot at 6 PM was half full so it's not like parking is in major demand in the area but its Sunday night so maybe it gets worse during the week. Fortunately the location makes up for the little annoyances.

The Good: Fantastic, spacious, and quiet room with a nice view of the water. Not better than the other side of the hotel, but not bad. Good location to the main road and a couple great restaurants. The staff were all great. Decent restaurant in the hotel as well. Not the best I've had, but you can tell they're making an effort. Bed was quite comfortable and the room and bathroom were clean. The room was also nicely dark with a little effort. The Bad: The curtains had a hard time closing all the way, and I had to put some effort into getting them to closer and stay closed. The Ugly: Nothing would prevent me from starting here again.

I love this DoubleTree and always have a great experience here! The rooms are great and comfy, staff is always friendly and accommodating, and the cooked-to-order breakfast is quite tasty! The English lady who usually tends the bar in the evenings is one of the sweetest people I've ever met! And the views from the hotel are really nice! My family and I will definitely continue to stay here when we visit Tampa Bay!

This restaurant is at a great location. They have good service and friendly staff, but appliances are old. Perhaps AC was not working so I couldn't sleep properly. There is a Bahama breeze restaurant close to it. I would say a must go.

It was absolutely beautiful. The staff was extremely courteous and knowledgeable. We had a suite overlooking the bay and on the first day I looked out the window and was greeted by the sight of two dolphins frolicking in the bay. The room was clean and comfortable. The bathrooms were absolutely gorgeous. We got some cookies from the front desk that were warm and delicious. There was plenty of parking. I didn't have a chance to stop by the pool, but, it looked heavenly and there was also a restaurant in house that looked wonderful though we did not eat there. All in all it was a wonderful experience and I highly recommend staying here.

4/2018 update: Most perfunctory and dreadful check in from front desk staff. Barely welcoming and appeared to not like their job very much. I’d work on that with some training! OK place for a weekend getaway. Kind of a good location and have semi-clean rooms but have super hard beds. Duvet is very used and looks dirty. This is our return visit and still NOT the most welcoming at the check in desk. We experienced: *trash in front of the rooms from the previous guests. **Super loud AC units. Hard to sleep and deafening. I measured 72 decibels (on my phone app) which is as loud as a party. ***several pool chairs are broken ****please clean the pool. There were hundreds of dead insects (love bugs) floating and at the bottom.

We stayed in a suite for a girls night. There was plenty of space for everyone and it wss very clean. It had a fridge, sink, dining area living room area etc. I wish the beds were a bit bigger but other than that they were super comfortable. The sofa bed was crazy uncomfortable so make sure you have 4 people in the room at the most.

Great hotel and location. Needs updating though. I loved this double tree. Close to the airport and three miles from international drive. You can see the airplanes taking off from TIA. Nice rooms, but in great need of being updated. Part of the floor in the room (near the window) was slanted and appears to have had some water damage. Room had a microwave/fridge/ wet bar. Couch was a pullout. Delicious restaurant on site, which I always love. The views from the room were gorgeous. Nice gym as well. No complaints, except for the old look. I definitely recommend staying here.

Great staff. Super helpful. Rooms need updating and restaurant service is great… food not so great. Pool was great which is why we went and location is great as well. Again, loved the people and location.

The AC unit are way to noisy. The front desk staff is not friendly and helpful. He don't pay attention to my request.

The hotel was nice and clean. The front desk was a little disorganized. Our room was not ready when we arrived. The front desk person offered us some drinks and a call when our room was ready. We were never called. The hotel is in a good location and the room was really nice.

Really enjoyed this hotel by double tree. The rooms were spacious and had nice views of the water. The clubs were great and the free breakfast hit the spot. Eggs bacon coffee so great!

I love this hotel. Right on the water. Easy to get to. They have very good rates. The people are friendly. It's the whole package.

Decent place; great location. Has a 12-16 mile scenic running trail right next to the hotel (see photos). Couple of bars within walking distance. They also have airport shuttle. The coffee maker in the room was not clean, could not use it.

We had an enjoyable stay here. Rooms are comfortable and clean. The heated pool is a nice swim but there is no Hot Tub The restaurant food is very good and staff are super polite. There is Free Parking here as well. Would stay again.

I was in the need of a hotel very last minute while traveling. I stopped by this DoubleTree and the young lady at the counter was AMAZING! She helped me get a room at a great price! She even joked around and was laughing with us! Great service! The room was a bit older but for the price and the service it was 4 stars easily. The rooms are also very large! Would stay again here if in town!

Being a HH Diamond member, we were treated with a smile upon check in as well as thanking me for my HH membership. The young lady at the front desk Christmas Eve was great. Our experience in the lounge was great as well as the girl in the lounge was pleasant and efficient. Our finger foods were very good as well. Our room was upgraded to a suite with a great view. Called the front desk for extra towels and blankets, came quickly.
Only issue with the property was a lack of a hot tub. We would stay here monthly if there was a hot tub.
Also the morning breakfast buffet was so so. Lack of variety compared to other Double Trees. Also, we were never told we could order omelettes by our server. Potatoes were not cooked through as the centers were a bit hard.
Postive experience overall, but the breakfast menu needs some attention.

Very nice place for the money,, nice patios on first floor,,, rooms a little outdated but not bad,,,, loved the views of the water. Also liked using the free shuttle from the airport, the driver got there pretty fast. Seems like nice area and the price was lower than other Hiltons in area. Enjoyed the bar as well. Staff at front desk was very nice. Thank you!

This hotel was quite dated and old. Everything but the bathroom vanity was from the 80's. Bed and couch were the lumpiest I've ever felt! Hair and grime in the sink and bathtub. The shower nozzle broke, leaving us only with baths. The AC was freezing and turning it down turned the dusty heat on. No windows or ventilation to help with that. My wife and I won't return, very disappointed with this visit and the quality of a hilton hotel!

Excellent hotel by Hilton. Quiet rooms, nice pool and very warm staff. We booked using our American Express Platinum and were upgraded to the honors floor! We highly recommend.

The place is in poor repair. A toilet in the women's restroom has been out of order for at least five days so far, and it's causing a problem for our conference group, which is mostly women. I pointed out the need for a quick repair three days ago, to no avail. The only exercise bike in the workout room has been broken for at least five days, so people with foot problems have no cardio options. The business center has had no toner in the printer for at least five days, despite having told our organizers we would have access to a printer. They refuse to just go to Office Depot and get more toner. Our organizer offered to go get some herself, and they said no. The rooms are a good size, and the beds are comfy. But management needs to step it up.

Nice hotel. Huge suite rooms with separate bedroom from nice seated area, large desk/table and wet bar with sink microwave and small refrigerator. Great view over Bay to watch sunset from both rooms. Oh and warm cookies on check in.

Availability was fast considering I reserved last minute. It is a very nice hotel and all the rooms have a great view. The staff was friendly. The room did have a lot of carpet stains, marks on the walls, and a broken toilet. Not the usual standard for Hilton. However, it was still a very good hotel and I would consider coming back.

Very clean and spacious rooms. Quiet with nice views of the bay from the front or from some rooms. The suites are nice with ample working space, microwave and coffee maker and sitting area separate from sleeping chamber. It made hall noise a non-issue. Occasional plumbing noises and a slightly dated look are main reasons I would subtract one star. Not a bad hotel and would definitely stay here again, but not the most spectacular hotel either. More than adequate and comfortable for the money in the TPA area. So convenient from the airport without airport noise.

Ive stayed twice for conferences and both times the staff have been awesome and more than accommodating. Have had some technical difficulties with the rooms and conference room BUT the amazing staff more than makes up for minor inconveniences. Hope I get to come back again! Love the views from the pool!

I called and spoke with Shelley approximately three times trying to explain my situation with her. This is after I already booked their hotel for a room on July 31. I will be arriving early in the morning on Monday, July 31 and departing on Tuesday, August 1 to head back to Iraq to work. First she sent me to the reservationist to cancel because she could not accommodate my request even though I would be spending less than 24 hours in their hotel. I talked to the reservationist who then advised me to talk to the front desk officer and explain my situation and they would be able to help me. I called back and Shelley answered the phone again and I asked to speak with the front desk officer at which time Shelley corrected me and said she is the front desk manager and then put me on hold for about five minutes. What Shelley pick back up the phone, I explained my situation to her again in detail explaining I would not be in the hotel more than 24 hours and I was heading back to Iraq and it would be great if she could accommodate me so I could give her company business. Shelley then went on to explain that if the hotel is not fully booked then it would be no problem instead of before telling me I would have to call that morning which would not be possible. She then went on to say after I asked if the hotels for Sunday night before my arrival she said no, that there would be a $50 charge to let me come early even if the room was available.

We stayed in room 101, which is at the end of the ground-floor hallway. The first floor rooms have their own walk-out patio with some chairs and a table. Some folks had procured loungers from the nearby pool. This is very nice, to be able to walk out of your room and across the grass to the pool. The pool is next to the water, as the hotel is right on Tampa Bay. It's a very beautiful location with lots of nature and very little boat traffic (the occasional jet flying overhead from the airport though). The staff at the hotel were wonderful at both the front desk and dining area. Our room wasn't quite ready so they gave us breakfast vouchers. Parking is a bit weird, but plentiful. Make sure to proceed all the way to the roundabout at the hotel entrance and then you'll see the parking entrance to the left. Don't be tempted to park in one of the side areas as you pull down the road to the hotel, those are metered. Really enjoyed this hotel and the area around it, a very nice section of the Tampa area!

Kind of disappointed with the view, it was supposed to be of the bay but a huge tree blocked both windows. And we must of been under the laundry room because early in the morning there were constant machines running, which made it hard to sleep in. Also the housekeeper tried to open the door at 9a, not sure why. We had only 1 pack of creamer for the 4 packs of coffee. And you had to pay for the breakfast buffet, no thank you. But other than that, the room was decent. The front desk folks were nice.

Amazing expierence ALL the staff was friendly and went out of their way to help us during a bad time in our lives. Patti (one of the managers) was so caring. One of us in our group had extreme allergies and they did everything to make her feel comfortable! Patti honestly treated us as family. Very clean hotel. Great atmosphere. Located on water and just on the outskirts of Tampa; so it is quiet but close to everything! We are so impressed that we are thinking about visiting them again very soon for a staycation! I honestly can not give them enough praise!

I reserved a room in Feb. Of 2016 for May 28th. I called at 11:30 am to see if they had any early check ins avail. I was told no because of a busy night before. The receptionist was very helpful at that point. When I arrived for a 3:00 pm checkin at 2:45 the place was swarming and no rooms were avail. Still being cleaned. After watching hoards of people come in after me getting rooms before me, and waiting for an hour and fifteen min. I thought maybe it was the type of room I was waiting for. Which was a single King Suite with a bay view. Finally after being the last person in lobby my cell rang to let me know my room was ready. I get to my room on second floor and it was a ground view of foliage and the pool canopy. In which I could not see the Bay that I had paid $195 a night for, plus the kitchen fan was 3 feet from my window. I will not be Back. I had the patio and palm tree view not the bay. Totally dissatisfied.

My stay here is phenomenal. The room was a little on the expensive side, but the stay was worth it. Bed was super comfortable, room was roomy, cozy, and my view wasn't a pool side view, but loved the view of the bay and the city. I was on the 7th floor. Another reason why I gave this hotel 5 stars is because of a young lady there by the name of Kyosha. (i had to ask her name and how to spell it). She went out of her way to make sure me and my fiancee had everything we needed. And no matter what time I came down, day or nite, she was always there working hard, and overwhelmed, but no matter what she always had a smile on her face and still ready to help another. So I don't want to really stay any where else when I travel to Tampa or Clearwater. Doubletree Suites will be my hotel there from now on. (as long as the rate are reasonable :)

The Double Tree was a great place to stay. Nice rooms and great views.

A false fire alarm went off at 315am. Only two employees were on site and it took the fire department over 45 minutes to show up and check the building. This not the first time a false alarm has happened here and the management was completely unprepared. Some of the emergency signals were not working on the fifth floor. The fire alarm was not turned off until 25 minutes after we were allowed back our rooms.

Rooms are ok. Service leaves much to be desired for. Complete Breakfast buffet is horrible. Eggs were over cooked and the pans were empty. Tables were dirty. Coffee was cold. Coffee creamer at table was spoiled. What a mess and lack of supervision.

Great location near tampa and clearwater.

Mold in the bathroom, filthy carpet, the headboard was peeling apart, the air vent was completely covered in dust and the crib they brought up for our toddler had stains, was unstable and had holes in the netting.

This imitates is a disaster.

Enjoyed my stay here. Found the staff to be super helpful, rooms were clean, and the shuttle service was very convenient to get to nearby restaurants. Enjoyed the pool area as well, was clean and the service was good. Always love a poolside pina colada. Also, a warm cookie upon arrival never hurts! Would recommend.

The tv's satellite and which it went out at times but you got fresh cookies but the breakfast was ok, got a good view of the lagoon and the pool and the airport, beds were ok, but the elevators looked 80'sish and they go up fast.

Enjoyed our recent stay with our young daughter. They staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel room was clean and very roomy (although the slotted closed doors between the living area and the bedroom didn't afford quite the privacy we were hoping for with a suite room). The location of the hotel makes it very easy to get to Clearwater Beach and points of interest in Tampa. We would certainly stay here again.

I love this hotel. My room with like a suite. It had a king bed, sofa bed, and a microwave. The pool water is clear and clean. The pool faces the sallow water.

I stayed here with a friend this past weekend for 2 nights and we really enjoyed our stay. This staff at the hotel was extremely helpful and polite. When we checked in, Ryan, at the front desk was able to arrange a room with a better bay view for us which was nice. We had dinner at the restaurant in the hotel one night and were pleasantly surprised at how delicious it was! Plus our server, Christine, was so nice and attentative to our needs. We would definitely stay here again.

Very large suite, room very tidy, bed comfortable. Not enough coffee and tea (only enough for 2 cups of coffee! ) bathroom clean and tidy and we had a bay view window and only paid $70 for the night via expedia, total bargain.

The room itself was quite nice. But I paid the extra for a 'Bay View' and we were treated to a view of the pool, the airport, the other wing, and a little bit of brackish backwater that we were informed constituted our 'bay' view. We were also told we should have asked for a 'causeway view, ' but being unschooled in the fine maritime arts, I didn't realize there was a difference. I'd say they need to change their options from 'Bay View' to 'Unspecified Body of Water View. ' You might guess I like views.
