Very friendly staff very helpful. Breakfast in morning was lovely. Room a great size. Perfect for a weekend away and close to shops and restaurants train station about 20 mins walk.

Persuaded to give them another try as this is very unlike the hotel so I did I stayed there 3 nights ago chek tin went to my Room found a toilet full of toilet roll and pubes lifted the cover on the bed and was black hairs on the bed to I had to be moved Room Even the hotels are in a bad month all this is normal for them not what you expect specially as a platinum elite member.

Welcoming staff, quiet comfy nights sleep, lovely shower would highly recommend.

The staff, in particular the duty manager, Paul Smith, have been exceptionally kind and gone above and beyond our expectations. I can sincerely recommend this establishment to anyone contemplating a stay in Birmingham.

Our room was huge, clean and quiet. The staff were brilliant and couldn't help enough! Breakfast was surplus, fresh and tasty, with a lovely dining area to eat it in. We will be coming back very soon!

Upon arriving hotel stated my rooms had been cancelled which they soon rectified. Over all appearance of our room was moderate to good. Some areas had not been dusted also the feel on the room is smaller than say premier inn. Menu basic hence we ate out. But over all satisfaction with stay.

No parking for guests, our room card keys did not work after going up with my family 10 floors. No basic courtesy at desk that I had to come 10 floors down to activate room card keys again. Oriental lady desk staff was courteous and helpful. Room seems nice and clean, hoping breakfast will be good too.

One of the better hotels in Birmingham. Rooms were very big and clean, beds so comfy and the bathroom, clean and out of showroom! The staff were really friendly and it wasn't any bother to replace my room key 4 times as I kept leaving it in the room! Wi-Fi was fast, didn't have the breakfast, but it did smell nice. The lifts may need servicing, they didn't give you any confidence hearing them rattle going up and down! Overall a really good experience.

If I could give it no stars I would. This hotel is the worst sh#! hole I have ever stayed in. I got no sleep, woke up at 1.45am and 3.30am to clicking noises (no idea what it is, coming from behind the walls/boxing) and the sound of water flowing (probably the waste pipes? ). Complained at reception and was given earplugs which are clearly not working as it's 5.30am as I write this and I have to get up for a meeting in 2 hours. Absolutely furious. The curtain doesn't close fully to offer complete darkness and the room is hot and stuffy without the aircon on, but the unit is noisy and clunky. Also, no baths in any of the rooms, all showers. Iv taken sleepers to try and help me get back to sleep. That was an hour and a half ago and I am so p! §§ed off at still being awake, I thought I'd write a review. The menu is rubbish, like 'nuke it in the microwave and serve it up', no actual cooking involved type food. This place is a DUMP. Avoid like the plague.

Rooms large, modern and clean. Good location. One warning don't eat your dinner here. Long wait to order, out of several items on the menu, food served cold. Staff doesn't seem equipped to deal with that part of the hospitality service. Breakfast on the other hand was fine.

Visiting Birmingham for the first time and came to this hotel. Really comfortable room and bed and is clean everywhere. Staff are lovely and service is good. Breakfast was nice and it is included why pay for breakfast? Will be back soon without doubt.

Fantastic welcome by the duty manager Craig. All team were amazing and check in was quick and hassle free. Breakfast was lovely with plenty of choice and beautiful bacon. Car park right next door so not far to walk in the rain.

️‍BIRMINGHAM PRIDE️‍ central location only a short walk to the parade route. Check in was fast and friendly. Lifts were quick and everything was clean. Room on 16th floor and the views were incredible. Staff were amazing and so lovely especially the duty manager Greg I think at the weekend and the girls on the desk who I can’t remember. Breakfast was busy but plentiful.

Wonderful staff members… Caring and provided five star service. In particular Brandon, The lovely manager, Mustafa, and lovely Lady which worked in the kitchen (her head was covered), and all house keeping staff. Thank you for looking after us. Our stay was comfortable and simply amazing! Can't wait to visit again.

Very clean and fresh looking. Easy to book in and the receptionist was extremely helpful. 6foot 4 husband loved the double sized shower and extra large bed. Would recommend. Only thing to let it down was after being told they did a selection of food 24/7 the evening receptionist told us to order in.

Pretty standard to be honest. Rooms are a decent size. Bathroom is quite compact, however does have a large double shower. The evening food was very slow for me, I ordered a burger and it took an hour and a half for it to arrive and the restaurant was quiet. People after me where getting meals first. After food arrived wasn't very impressed as it was very greasy, got 4 small wedges. I've had better burgers from McDonald's! The breakfast was not too bad, small selection of hot food.

Not that great… 3 pillows for a family of 4. One 'new' towel was stained with feaces (looked like it) that my 4 year old daughter almost used. Sink doesn't drain Shower hose split Battery for TV remote dead Good blackout curtains Staff friendly.

Great place if you just need a night in the town… clean, tidy and great breakfast… just a bit far from localities.

Enjoyed a great night’s sleep in a room on the 9th floor. Very clean, huge shower space and sooo quiet :) Staff were very helpful, if a little robotic (long day? ). I’ll def stay here again.

I have given the hotel a two as when I checked in the staff was very welcoming. I got to my room and someone else’s personal details were left on the table and the bed had bottom marks on it as someone was sitting on the bed. The next day they reduced my towels and rang me to tell me that I was only booked in for 1 night and they had to call me because they didn’t want to disturb me later. When I checked in staff confirmed I was in for two nights. I’m disappointed and will be never recommend this hotel to anyone.

Many basic errors. Lots of time waiting at front desk despite staff in back talking. Given uncleaned room with faulty bed, then another room with a faulty bed. Final room good. Dinner poor quality very expensive, beer unpleasant, side salad nice. Breakfast reasonably good, plenty of it, except coffee weak and unpleasant. Would have given 2 but manager very apologetic and returned cost of night and good proximity to hospital. Local parking can be found much less than 12 pounds.

Its OK, pretty standard & breakfast is included. Evening there is always something wrong with the kitchen so no/limited food options. Eating area is always cold at night, in the winter months at least.

I stayed at this hotel with my mum & 2 children after a day trip the Cadbury world. The hotel was nice & clean & friendly staff. After getting slightly lost trying to get to the hotel I contacted the hotel & a member of staff directed me over the telephone. The one moan I have got is the price of the parking as it was an NCP car park. As we are not familiar with the area and it was getting late we didn’t have the chance to find an alternative car park, therefore had a hefty fee to pay when leaving the car park the next day!

First time in the hotel for a Gin tasting. Great value lovely room and breakfast in with the price. Would recommend.

Our room was on the sixth floor which was lovely. The shower leaked and toilet seat was loose when report it was looked at 2 days later. Run out breakfast on two morning even when breakfast was until 9.30am. The TV in our room didn't work as had no aerial but the staff did try and sort but had no joy. The plus side is the hotel is near the centre of Birmingham so they was lots to do. Even those I have stated what happened this time I would still think the hotel is a lovely place to stay.

Clean and comfortable, staff helped me find the hotel by phone until I got there, the downside was it was like a pub with no beer! I asked for Guinness none available, so had another beer, had a couple of red wines with my dinner, my colleague went to get another and they had run out of red wine, unbelievable!

Great hotel for the price, have stayed here many time's as it is close to the children's hospital. All you can eat breakfast and free tea/coffee. Will be staying here every time we come to Birmingham.

This hotel is a fraudulent one, the price I was charged was different to the confirmation I received via the phone. The services during breakfast was very poor, it was short staffed and my kids were hungry as food was coming out very late. Poor customer service, there is no demonstration of team work amongst the staff members. I would not recommend this Hotel to anyone.

This is an ok hotel, clean and tidy but nothing special. The meal choices are limited but I didn't stay there for food. So more than acceptable.

Pretty decent hotel for price. Has a bar and area for drinks, rooms are small but clean and beds are comfortable. Overall a pleasant hotel and would happily stay again in the future.

My experience with this hotel is not good. It was very cold in the room, I was given a small heater, but it didn't work. Breakfast was a disaster. Coffee maker didn't work. The second night I was woke up at 4 in the morning because of fake smoke alarm. I don't recommend that place. One star for service who was doing their best to make guests happy.

Really friendly staff, very clean room, breakfast included, had a top floor room (view was excellent). Everyone helped to make our stay great. Highly recommend.

Arrived early for a business session and was offered a free breakfast! What more can I say? These are the reasons I always try to use holiday inn whenever I go away. Very hospitable. Food was delicious too.

Staff great & helpful. Food tasty. Room small & clean fully stocked with tea/coffee/kettle; iron and board. Bathroom (shower only) perfectly adequate & clean. Would stay again for a 1 nighter.

Excellent hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful (especially lynda). The rooms were spacious, clean, comfy and well stocked (including an ironing board). The breakfast was lovely and in reception they had tubs of extra little milks for tea/coffee in your room… stinginess with little milks in other hotels gets on my nerves! They have obviously thought about the customer experience.

Didn't stay here but sat in the lobby for a bit while I was waiting for someone. Very central Birmingham. Broad Street 5-10 minutes away. Nice lobby. Staff asked if I was okay. I replied yes. Good location if you're wanting central Birmingham. Not sure what car parking there is but if they don't offer it, you'll probably have to pay quite a bit at a carpark because most streets in Birmingham are 2 hours max stay 8am-6pm and cost £2 for 2 hours. It's fine away from them hours though.

Hotel is really nice, staying here for university so I can't comment on the price. Rooms are high quality and beds are comfy. Nice desk to be used for revision etc. Food is surprisingly good, again I can't comment on the cost but the provided meals are tasty and different each night. Breakfast is great too! Would recommend.

Rooms are fine, breakfast is decent but sometimes crowded. Accessing the gym is a quest in itself since it's not indicated and you have to take a different elevator from the lobby to access it. Elevator which was broken so you had to take the stairs to finally find the gym hidden at the end of a corridor of conferences room. Definitely not the best location. IHG elite members don't forget to ask for the points as a welcome gift, forgot and was just given a lame little pack of 2 cookies.

Due to our young daughter needing procedures at Birmingham children's hospital, we use this hotel every time. Always friendly helpful staff. Comfy clean rooms. The breakfasts are always great. We had a late dinner once too and the food was very nice and not too badly priced.

Nice hotel which is clean and fairly new. Breakfast is average at best. Staff are friendly but there has been some confusion between overlapping staff shifts and caused some pain as a result.

Room stunk of mould, bathroom flooding into bedroom is cause. How housekeeping never smelt it as it is beyond me as it had obviously been going on for some time. Toaster will only give you anaemic toast at breakfast. Staff friendly though.

Very polite staff. The room was very tidy and clean and the bathroom was very nice. There was some confusion with the rooms which almost incurred extra charges, but this was the companies fault not the staff of the hotel. Overall it was a very good experience.

Just want to say that the staff at this hotel are amazing! Craig and shellie on nights are amazing and made our hotel experience! Honestly the best hotel staff ever! Dave the manager is fab honestly they go the extra mile! They honestly went out of their way to give us a great stay! The security team were also very helpfull — Imran and sully in particular was great! Many thanks holiday inn express :)

Great rooms & good Internet access staff are really friendly and gym is small but suitable downside is food. No room service and the menu is equivalent to a supermarkets frozen section. Only other issue is that the parking is £13 a night as not their own car park. But still a great hotel for business purposes.

Room was clean, beds comfortable bathroom lovely, only bad thing was our air con didnt work so room was like a sauna but we didnt ask for anyone to see to. It so our fault too overall lovely hotel.

The check in was great, however there was a lack of toilet paper in the room (and housekeeping appeared to have none on the trolley), there was water coming through the light in the shower and we had booked 2 nights and one of these was on a points based reward, when we went to get in our room on the second day we were locked out and reception said we hadn't paid (in other Holiday Inn's the money has been taken before the stay so this has not been an issue. However other than this the room was good, well heated and the staff were friendly and helpful.

Room was clean and furnished to a high standard. Fantastic views over Birmingham, especially at night. Bar well stocked. Staff very friendly and helpful. Will stay again.

This did the job. The room was clean and tidy, good breakfast included and although the gym is tiny for the size of the hotel at least it had one. Room service was not available as expected but the staff wee more than happy to allow found to be taken up to the room. The only thing lacking was a pool, but I couldn't exactly choose as work made the booking. Other than that it did it's job well.

Room was very well furnished. Seems newly decorated. Walls are a little thin, but I slept well. Breakfast choice for cooked food wasnt the best quality but still good for what you're paying. Park in Royal Angus NCP with a discount via holiday inn.

AC/ heating in the room dodnt work very well. Cold when entering room — set to max (25° — 2hrs later still very cold — left on overnight — had to sleep fully clothed. Collegue had exactly the same problem and he was 9 floors above. Breakfast selection was very good. No bath. Parking is expensive. Stayed 9pm — 8am for £12.10, if you dont get it validated at reception then it will cost you £25.

Conveniently located within 5 minutes walk from Birmingham Children's Hospital. Room was small but perfectly adequate for the needs of myself and my 2 children. Sofa bed made up on arrival. Toilet seat did not stay up which was slightly annoying for the boys. Breakfast was fine with the usual selection of toast, muffins, croissants, cereal, fruit, yoghurt plus a limited hot selection of sausage, beans and scrambled eggs (eggs were a bit rubbery and tasteless which I've found isn't unusual in these types of places when made in bulk). On the whole I would recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a cheap, easy, convenient place to spend a night or two. Service was very pleasant and efficient. I was offered a later check out of 2pm next day which was handy.

Have stayed here with my company on multiple occasions. The rooms are clean and nice enough but the mattresses are very uncomfortable and the rooms do not have an iron or ironing board, which is extremely annoying. Reception "don't do room service" so you have to collect your iron and ironing board from them and drag it up to your room with you. Staff are inefficient and generally unsympathetic.
