My boyfriend and I took a "stay-cation" for the weekend of his birthday. Everyone we ran into did not let that go unnoticed. Lamont at the front desk immediately greeted him with immediate attention and made the both of us feel special. They were able to upgrade our room because of the availability at the hotel and of course due to the occasion which made us extremely happy not only because of the thought to do that but because of the fantastic bay view. That was just our initial front desk experience. A housekeeping attendant offered towels to our room, (We "made a green choice" and it was helpful to have a small refresh with that option selected. Sunday we chose to take the jet-skis out for a spin and Tyler and the rest of the staff down there was great. Very informative and made us feel incredibly comfortable on the water. The staff was awesome, but the life vests smelt bad. They could have probably been cleaned a little more thoroughly. Other than that our experience was awesome! Also, the lobby was always kept clean and smelt AMAZING, if there were any events in the hotel going on, the general itinerary was posted in the elevators, and anyone we passed was smiling and saying hello. Overall, we had a great stay.

Again as with finding with most Coastal hotels the Ambience, attitude and mental aura I find in people is in conjunction with the state of mind controlled with the ambient atmosphere. Tranquility and harmony is inspired with the festivities and amenities offered by the hotel. Spiritual well-being is a great Wellspring of healing attributes because of the reduction of stress and resulting in open-mindedness and warm heart receptiveness of spiritual guidance. Presence of spiritual eminence exudes an essence of good.

Nice hotel although a bit older. No USB ports in rooms, refrigerator is stocked so no room for leftovers. Called Express service one night for beer to go along we with pizza we ordered from Pizza Hut. 15 minutes later, still no beer, canceled order as pizza was then gone. Beach area had trash floating in water but no one bothered to throw away. Everyone very nice and shuttle was great option. Mall not far away but should have gotten rental car as nothing in walking distance.

The bellman were warm and welcoming. The pool was perfect! The room was great! The 10th floor had a beautiful view. I loved the walk in shower. We will come back definitely!

Chose to spend the weekend in Tampa and wanted a classy hotel with a well known name and needless to say The Westin lived up to its reputation. Amazing decor. Beds are so soft, separate shower and tub and I also had an amazing view of the bay and city. Only thing I wish is that the TV was bigger, but that's only because I love big TVs.

You will enjoy warm and friendly staff to begin with. The hotel provides a general calmness with a water fall area in front and in the lobby. The room I stayed in with my husband and infant son was very serene and comfortable. The hotel provided a crib for my son which is an extra star for me. There is a restaurant and a bar serving delicious meals. I enjoyed the Tuscan chicken and house salad very much so I had it on 2 occasions. There is also Starbucks coffee on the premises which I found very convenient. The hotel also has a private beach and indoor pool. You will find decent restaurants close such as bahama breeze. Another important thing to note is that a shuttle service is available from and to the airport, malls and a few restaurants for free. The surrounding area is nice to take walks. We enjoyed our stay.

Wow. If I could give zero stars I would. I have been traveling across the country and today was my third day on the road. I called the Westin early in the day and asked if they allowed pets as I am traveling with my two cats. (I specifically said cats) They said absolutely that wasn’t a problem and so I booked a room. 9 hours later I arrive to check in and right off the bat the valet starts grilling me on if I am staying at the hotel and insists that I leave my car keys with him. I asked if I could keep them with me while I just walked in to check in as I had my animals in the car and would park it myself and he said that wasn’t an option and that I had to leave my keys with him or I couldn’t enter the hotel. He said he wouldn’t touch my car because he hates cats. He then tells me I can’t have a reservation there because they don’t allow cats. I told him maybe there was a mistake as I had called and asked early that morning. I walked inside and spoke to a man at the check in counter who tells me they do allow pets but not cats. I was really surprised and told him I had specifically told the person when I called that I had cats. He offered no apology and didn’t seem the least bit bothered and just said that he could cancel my room for no fee. At this point it is now 9pm, I have been on the road all day in bad weather, and now due to their mistake I have no where to go.

It's too bad when a hotel experience sours you in an entire brand. Unfortunately I'm done with Westin for a long time. The hotel experience can be summed up by the parking lot… poorly planned. The lines are literally drawn to accommodate only very small compact cars… in Florida. So get ready for massive trucks next to minivans — it's car ding paradise. The rooms are uber dated and smell smokey. The bathroom was pretty nice and the shower was great. The mattresses and duvets were comfortable but the pillows were silly. One was super thick and hard and the other was paper thin mush. This chain had gone waaaay down hill. This is, at best, a dated 2 star hotel.

Great place to stay. Great location. They also have a small private beach with watercraft rentals available at a reasonable price.

My stay at this hotel was great. The rooms were spacious and clean. The bathrooms are also spacious with a walk-in shower and tub. There's a Starbucks on property and a bahama breeze within walking distance. There were two reasons that contributed to me giving the experience a 4. The first is that we booked on the Club floor and could not get into our room because there weren't any rooms ready. It was 530pm when we arrived and I did a mobile check-in to confirm my anticipated arrival. I was disappointed because we needed a room right away to shower and change for a Broadway show that started at 8pm. We ended up settling for a lower level floor. Secondly the check in staff wasn't personable. She barely greeted us and she didn't offer up any hotel info (breakfast times, Wi-Fi info, elevators). I had to pull info out of her. Overall the hotel itself is worth the price.

Beautiful hotel. Has a private beach on the bay. A nice bar and restraunt. Friendly staff. Boat and jet ski rentals and close to the airport.

Com Booked a room on there and they had the best rates around… This was a great hotel and a great place to stay from the three days I spent in Tampa at my company's conference. The beds were amazingly comfortable, the staff at the front desk were Beyond accommodating, the customer service people went above and beyond anything that we ask for. It's located in the bay and we had a bay view from our room. It was just a wonderful experience. I highly recommend this hotel and we plan on making it our choice hotel for future visits to the Tampa area.

I live at Rocky point and my mother always stays here when she comes to visit. Beautiful hotel, clean, amentities are on point and everyone is very friendly. Restaurant, bar and Starbucks make for a complete package if you're not wanting to venture too far out.

The room had fleas… The Westin is a pet Hotel? Wow. Advised the front desk of this on checkout. They only said as a reply. "you have a 5$ balance for parking. Really? Called corp. Customer service, never heard back. Our last stay there… thanks for the flea bites Westin. Did get a call back from the property manager who again apologized. But still got my 5$ to park.

Staff was extremely friendly you can tell the hotel is very well maintained. The lobby is gorgeous with a wall long waterfall. There is a Starbucks inside and a rooftop to host social events. We are so amazed by the Weston we are thinking about having our wedding there.

This was a great hotel and a great place to stay from the three days I spent in Tampa at my company's conference. The beds were amazingly comfortable, the staff at the front desk were Beyond accommodating, the customer service people went above and beyond anything that we ask for. It's located in the bay and we had a bay view from our room. It was just a wonderful experience. I highly recommend this hotel and we plan on making it our choice hotel for future visits to the Tampa area.

The rooms were clean and fairly spacious. The coffee maker didn't work properly, which is a horrid thing to find out first thing in the morning. But when the hotel staff was notified they fixed it right away. The meeting space was great, with a very easy to use AV set up and good speaker placement. The service staff kept us stocked up on drinks and snacks, necessary for an event like this.

Excellent view of the bay. The staff are nice and courteous. The only hitch is that they should have better choice of breakfast items.

We spent the time in the bar and lobby sitting area. One of the nicest. Customer service and professionalism is superb. Service, desserts,. Are excellent. We haven't stayed there so can't comment on rooms.

Very neat and clean. Everything is overpriced in my opinion though, from breakfast to snacks. But other than that it's a pretty good hotel.

Honestly my wife and I stopped in to grab a quick coffee at Starbucks. It was about 8 minutes before they closed and the valet was more than gracious and park our car right out front. We ran in chatted with the barista and then made our way out. The valet staff is professional and courteous and who doesn't love a good cup of joe.

You can always trust the accommodations and service at a Westin. The Westin Tampa Bay is no exception. Easy check in. A beautiful room with a lovely view and the famous soft and luxurious Westin bed. Room service was fast and efficient. Plus a quick complimentary ride to the Tampa airport in the morning.

Great hospitality and service. Staff very quick to correct anything that's wrong. Attended a conference here and stayed overnight. The food in the conference was great. The food in the bar downstairs not so much. The rooms are very nice and clean. I probably wouldn't stay for a family vacation, but I wouldn't mind returning for another conference.

I have had much better Westin stays. The biggest issue is the AC. I don't know what's going on but the hallways and elevators are saunas. The rooms are cooler but don't cool lower than 80. They brought us an industrial fan that helped some, but was extremely loud. Weak AC is a big problem in sunny Florida. It was an impossible situation no matter how much we wanted it to work because of the dogs. In fact, we would have checked out like many others if we didn't have limited choices because of the dogs. In addition, we tried room service it took more than an hour and then they brought a nearly raw hamburger. It was almost 10 pm before we finally ate. Not good! On the plus side, the hotel has beautiful water views, friendly staff and is extremely dog friendly!

Comfy bed (far exceeding other hotels). Indoor pool is nice so you do not bake in the heat/sun. Tiny hot tub (bathing load 4 people) was odd (too crowded for us to use). Room service burger was blah — not so good.

The room was exceptional as were our views from the room. Staff incredibly friendly. Very clean. It was lacking a certain panache. Also no gift shop so we got soaked as couldn't buy a Pancho before our outdoor event, nor the much needed mosquito repellent or the healthy snacks for our long car ride back home. I would give it 3.5 stars. Would have received full 5 stars if above needs had been met.

Beautiful hotel. We loved the indoor pool and hot tub. The restaurant called Aqua is great with amazing Sushi and a great bar.

Calm, clean hotel near Tampa International Airport. King room and restroom facilities were above average for this type of hotel (eg Hilton/Marriott…) with separate bath and showers. The restaurant, Aqua, is also reasonably priced and serves a fair selection of seafood dishes and Starbucks is located right in the lobby. There is also a convenient shuttle service offered to/from the hotel.

The westin hotel is very bad treatment they give to the hauskipin are heard in the corridors shouting the supervisors do not have education treat staff.

One of my favorite Westin properties. I have been visiting this property since it opened. The inside is clean, chic, and has a decent restaurant at the bottom. The best part of this Westin is that you have a beautiful view no matter what room they give you. The staff is super friendly as well.

I stayed at this Westin from 1/26 — 1/28 for a Sales Meeting. Overall, the property is very nice and the staff are outstanding. There are, however, a few things I did not like and think need improvement. Beach: There is a beach on the property, but it's small and not very clean. I walked past the shack where jet skis are rented out (it was closed the entire time) and down their dock, and there was a considerable amount of trash strewn about and in the water. This is not up the standards I typically find at Westin properties. Also, while it's not their fault, a major road runs right next to the beach, and it's noisy. If you're looking for peace, you won't find it on the beach. I suggest the park on the other side of the street from the hotel. Food: The restaurant food was pretty good, but the food provided for our group was not as good. During our awards dinner, I had a chicken dish which was nicely presented, but parts of it were so overcooked and dried out that they weren't edible. Given that, I did not feel full when I was finished. Snacks were provided throughout our meetings and were generally very good, including the coffee (a rarity in my meeting experience). Lunch on the last day was okay, but none of the sandwiches had any condiments on them and they were not provided. Dipping my roast beef in my onion soup salvaged it, but there's a certain attention to detail lacking.

Sorry, Google prompted me to make this review based on my having visited The Westin. I actually wasn't visiting The Westin, though. I was just at the Starbucks attached to the lobby. They are great. They are not a full Starbucks, even though they have the same menu, set-up, and ingredients. You can't redeem your free drinks there. I would give them 4 stars but I can't vouch for the whole Westin. I live nearby but have not spent a night there. They have a small private beach and they seem clean. For some reason, they rent jet skis you can only ride on a small strip of water instead of paddle boards that you could take all the way around the island of Rocky Point. Their lobby bathrooms are clean. The vegan options at their restaurant suck, as in are non-existent. I have never seen one of their rooms but I'm sure they are decent. Their Starbucks is great, though!

Fast service. Clean room. Nice people. Only there one night but we dont have any complaints. The Aqua roll is great too!

Stayed a weekend, 3 adults 6 kids, the rooms were great, wished they had put us in the higher floor. Traffic noise was really bad on the 8th floor. Don't care much for the attitude of one of the check in clerk, got there early but rooms were not ready; had a late check out policy (loved the idea), but rooms were booked 2 weeks in advanced. Kids were young an restless had to fit into one room till the others were ready. Found it hard to believe 234 rooms were occupied. Once the rooms were ready almost 4pm, got there at 11.30am, took to the beach. Took a boat ride. They loved the ride. The boat rental place was very accommodating. However, the best was the experience in the Aqua restaurant. The kids loved the place, the staff and the food. I can't express enough gratitude to the staff, to Dave the manager and the Chef for making our stay so worthwhile. They had made the children so welcome accommodate the childrens need, went so far as to make special treat for the little ones on our last night. They didn't stop talking about the experience all the way home. I would give 5 stars had it not been for the attitude at check in, very curt. All accolade must go to the rest of the staffs for their patience and kindness. The children were age 14 to 2 years old.

Our stay at The Westin Tampa Bay was fantastic. The accommodations and service were great. Look forward to a second visit!

After staying 5 nights I can't think of anything they could have done better. Room was on point. Location is great. Jet ski and boat rental on site. Ordered room service after a long day and Aqua did a fine job. Would definitely stay again.

Excellent customer service. Guest rooms. Nice restaurant. Great atmosphere. Worth the price. Just not close to many attractions.

Conveniently located between the airport and the beach, with large rooms and views (although obscured by the highway. ) The reception staff went out of their way to be helpful, recommending restaurants and organising transport. It’s a big wedding venue, so the all you can eat Breakfast packs out by 11:00 if you are there at the weekends. Take advantage of the berries, which were particularly big and fresh.

The GM is horrible and only cares about his bonus. I'm sure this review will kill it. He should have listened to us. The lobby looks tired. Staff clothes were sloppy and not a 3 or 4 star. The staff looks over worked. The room was interesting. Supper nice bathroom and meh room and meh bed covers. The worst part is the service. Next door room had routy kids the noise went on for three hours. We called office and the staff came by and agreeed. We all agreed that even if we ask them to hush at mid-night the kids would get rougty again so we ask for a new room and they wouldn't compensate, not even a complimentary breakfast for only getting 4 hours of sleep. We went from beach water views to a view of the roof. Worst part we were woken up at 6am by new routy kids in the am. They don't walk the halls. They pick routy kids over working professionals. They didn't accommodate us in the situation at all.

Is not MILITARY FRIENDLY! Tried to get a room there and front desk was rude and supervisor was even worse. Was not helpful nor polite.

I stayed here for four nights. Staff was very friendly. Nice beach area. Would like it even better if the road wasn't so close by, but can't have everything. Very good location. Easy to get to places from it and easily found coming back to it. Definitely would stay here again.

Worst experience ever so rude customer serice took money off my card and never returned it! wasnt able to check in or get my room gave me such a hassel! never again! rooms were great service sucked.

The staff is nice and friendly. There is a small beach out back where you can lay out or rent boats/water jet skis. The rooms are comfortable and if you can, get a room on the club level with a water view. The view is lovely as the sun sets.

Do Not Stay on this property! The wait staff and housekeeping are fantastic! However, the reservation desk is AWFUL! They botched our reservation 4 times! We booked back in Febuary 2014 for a stay scheduled in June. Thank goodness we checked on our reservations! Then. We were charged for 4 rooms — we just needed 1 room for my husband and I! Names were spelled wrong after the desk used our DL to enter in the information! Cards were charged several times for rooms we never requested! Now our stay is over — we were charged at the restaurant twice and for 3 rooms! So-we are now spending our Monday morning trying to resolve these issues.

Was looking for a stay 'cation in the area for Mother's Day weekend. Narrowed it down to Rocky Point, on the Courtney Campbell Causeway which connects Tampa and Clearwater. I had my eye on this hotel for a while. I read other reviews from the grumpy tourist's (I jest) decided to give it a try anyway. Westin won out becuase it was available (other places were booked) and it's private beach. The person who checked us in Carlos was wonderful. The service was great from the, front desk, bellman and the restaurant AQUA. The maids could have acted more pleasant but whatever. Starbucks heaven, store on site and in the room as well. The rooms were spotless as I expected and was in awe on the rain shower. It better be good for $100 in incidentals and $10 more for Wi-Fi, geez. Now the things I didn't like about my stay, No HBO? come on even 1-2 star hotel's have that. Showtime was there but it did not suffice. I bet all of the 'Game Of Thrones' fans there were pissed. An un heated indoor pool, what is up with that? Luckily there's a spa. Another thorn on my side was despite being a guest I couldn't get reservations to thier Mother's Day brunch. The gym was a nice size good selection of equipment and dumbells and mats but it's time to upgrade the treadmills and elliptical's. The onsite restaurant AQUA is reasonable priced at lunchtime but steep at dinner time. Shout out to the signature drink The Aquapolitan, other than that I'd BOYB.

Buyer beware! Views and location are ideal but hotel staff and accommodations are something out of a bourgeoisie nightmare. The room is not worth the price with the sheets having a total thread count of 2, the bathroom had a carpet of human body hair from unclean patrons and incompetent employees, and the hotel staff are extremely unfriendly and anxious to take advantage of average people trying to enjoy a night away. I would suggest staying at a Hilton or Marriott before choosing this hotel because the value would be greater and you probably wouldn't be treated as a sub-human. P. S. The hotel is as dirty as it's ethics.

This hotel was absolutely beautiful! Tremendous service, staff are offered to find us dinner in the restaurant next to the hotel and not take them into the room. They were very friendly even with my pet that I carry with me. The rooms are beautiful, very nice view, I can not wait to return.
