This is a super cool place to stay if you are gay on vacation in Miami Beach. Great location, friendly staff, very affordable … very clean too! Even if you are not staying at this hotel, you should come to hang out with other guys in the social area, and pick up some tips on night life, beaches and such. They also have a cute bar that gets pretty packed in the evening, by far the cheapest option to get tipsy before heading to the clubs. Highly recommended.

The room is incredible, large and airy, lots of natural daylight. The staff's top notch! Incredibly attentive, courteous and quick to resolve any issues you may have. Free shuttle service to the beaches and a free buffet style breakfast to start (or end your) day. A great, affordably priced, hotel. I will most definitely be back!

I have frequented the hotel's bar for Karaoke with delight. HOWEVER, tonight, 2 of 3 of my songs were interrupted by a practice where patrons can pay to STOP your song, forcing you to sing a random song. This is all fun and games and it supports a chatity, but couldn't it at least be limited to 1 song per karaoke singer, instead of nearly EVERY TIME someone sings? This is just poor planning on the hotel's part. What is WORSE is the fact that once a complaint is filed, it's followed by nothing but defense by the hotel, trying to make a customer feel bad, instead of addressing what is WRONG with their current practices and simply apologizing. If their guest service is similar to how they treat their bar patrons, I expect they will not be in business much longer. Especially with the low rates they are forced to offer because they simply cannot compete in the market. Their RevPAR must be a joke. Haha. I mean, they don't even have a real comp set because they're targeting such a small market, with not enough money in their budget for marketing, I assume. Good luck. I will obviously not return, will work to ruin your Net Promoter percentages, and will complain on other sites. All you had to do was practice the very simplest part of guest service… apologize.

Great place to stay, close to beach and all the action. Hotel staff is super friendly and they have so many events at the hotel. OMG that bed honey! soooooooo comfy!

If you want to have a relaxed and pleasant stay in Miami Beach, you definitely have to go the Gaythering. Mariano, the super diligent/efficient manager will make sure that you have the best experience ever and the rest of the staff (Russell, Allan and Sergio, to name a few) will make the magic happen. It was actually my third time staying at this boutique hotel and I will definitely come back! It is only a few steps away from Lincoln Rd. Which makes the location unbeatable. The rooms that I have tried are spacious, fancy decorated and clean. It is a hidden gem in the heart of SoBe! Thanks for everything!

Great stay. Rooms very comfortable and stylish. Bar drinks were great too. Got a lovely cocktail as a welcome drink free of charge.

The Gathering was very welcoming. It was convenient with the shuttle to Haulover Beach, breakfast, and the bar which made it easy to make new friends. The bed was comfortable and the spa was relaxing (and also a way to make new friends ;) ). This is my second tine staying at The Gathering and I will certainly return.

Wonderful adventure! I would definitely recommend this place. The bar is so much fun. They have free bikes to ride and it is the perfect location! I.

Visited this Boutique hotel with a nice and cozy bar… Great location for drinks and meeting like-minded locals and tourists. Atmosphere very friendly,. Closes a bit early during the week but awesome location (on Lincoln Rd, just two blocks off Alton Rd, close to the bay) and cool staff make it worth the visit. No attitude, unless u arw bringing it yourself…

Gay hotel also straight or bi they don't care as long your not a bigot. Great rooms, awesome bathrooms, good drinks a sauna and I say it's a gem of South beach. Close to restuants shopping and transportation.

Terrible place. To the gay community: do not go to a place where employees discriminate and are violent towards people. I had an accident last night. I fell because the floor was slippery. And instead of helping me, two guards came to take me out of the bar, without even asking me how I felt. Please never go to Gaythering or recommend it. If they made me feel so bad at the bar, the hotel must be much worse. No to discrimination and violence!
Terrible lugar. A la comunidad gay: no vayan a un sitio en donde los empleados discriminan y son violentos con las personas. Anoche sufrí un accidente. Me caí porque el piso estaba resbaloso. Y en lugar de ayudarme, llegaron dos guardias a sacarme del bar, sin ni siquiera preguntarme cómo me sentía. Por favor nunca vayan a Gaythering ni lo recomienden. Si a mí me hicieron sentir tan mal en el bar, debe ser mucho peor el hotel. No a la discriminación y la violencia!

The Place was GREAT! My first visit to a gay hotel! Love love loved it! The staff was extremely pleasant, of course walking in at 9 am and seeing a very handsome young man didn't hurt either! Since I arrived early, I thought I would wait around all day for a room. Sergio called me an hour later and said my room was ready. Prior to my Visit, I sent numerous emails to Matt, the Hotel manager, asking questions about local attractions and such. He was amazing, great info and emailed backed with minutes. I met one of the owners, Alex spoke with him for a while, what a nice guy too!. He explained the entire process of starting up the Gaythering about four years ago. Was so sweet to! Props to the housekeeping staff as well. Room was promptly cleaned and done perfectly! I have to def send a great big thank you to Robbie, the Bartender. What a great guy! I actually love trying out different drinks when I travel, I explained what I liked. He concocted this drink that I could even tell you the name of, but I will say as soon as I walked into the bar, he had one made. He defiantly made the trip so worthwhile. I also read one review where some one said were quite expensive? I found quite the opposite, but who know where he lives. I booked this placed based solely on reviews and it did meet each and every one of my expectations. I will def be back, met a number of cute young men and were all planning on returning again as a group! Oh and I forgot to mention the location!

I attended an event at Gaythering during Art Basel week on December 9th. To show my support, I bought two pieces from Artist Jonathan Kent Adams. To my surprise, I received a refund of my payment under the pretense I didn’t pick-up the pieces. I am a collector and have my own gallery at the Design District. This is not a regular business procedure but rather a breach of contract. As a matter of fact, most galleries deliver and install your pieces for a fee or complimentary. I still have pieces in some of the galleries that I acquired during Art Basel. So shame on this amateur and unethical artist Jonathan Kent Adams and Gaythering for the lack of professionalism.

Relaxed atmosphere. Excellent drinks. Friendly crowd. This is a fun place to meet friends or meet a new friend. Definitely worth a stop by to check out the scene.

Cute bar — friendly crowd, nice design, very welcoming place. Drinks are a bit pricey but the crowd is worth it. Even a game room in the back. I recommend a stop here for any gay man looking for a nice time with like minded individuals.

Nesecitan staff Spanish, I have a group of friends who come soon from Spain by 15dias and would be a good place but could not have good communication because the staff does not speak Spanish.

One of the best gay friendly hotels around. Hot tub is amazing, can fit up two four guys. Brunch was amazing. Love the music playing in the pool and gym. The steam room wasn't working, but I was able to get a pretty good steam ;) A special thanks to Fernando for his prompt backdoor service.

Best hotel/bar in Miami. This hotel is amazing. The staff provide superior service. Highly recommended. Absolutely incredible! It's the only place to stay when visiting Miami.

Nice, non-smoking bar catering to locals and tourists alike. Busiest nights are Fridays and Wednesdays (trivia night). I like to go when it's a little less packed — Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Just want to share poor, disrespectful and rude client service at the bar of this hotel. I understand it’s Friday before Halloween and the place is busy. I waited in line for a drink for almost 20 min. I was situated between the two bartenders so I was not attended to though other people on the sides were being served more promptly. I asked the bartender (big guy with a beard) when my turn will be. He flipped out and started telling me that it’s too busy. I asked him whether him or the the other bartender is responsible for my drinks since I was situated in the middle of the bar. He continued yelling and told me “if you don’t like it go elsewhere”. I respectfully left the bar area and as I was leaving he childishly said in a loud voice “bye”. Being the respectful professional I am, I ignored him and went to the manager to report the incident and asked to talk to the owner. He couldn’t find him but I was later able to find him and told him what happened. His response was shocking to me to say the least. He second guessed my story implying that it couldn’t have escalated had I not said something else. He then said that this is his best bartender and therefore there is nothing he can do about it. He then asked me if I was gonna report the incident on social media. That’s all he cares about! I asked him back what would you do if you were me? He replied “I don’t know what you would do. We are just trying to have a nice time”.

This is a hidden gem on the beach. The bar makes delicious specialty cocktails and they have awesome creative nights of trivia, karaoke, crafts, etc… almost every night of the week. Alex the owner is incredibly welcoming and hospitable, and all of his staff I have interacted with have been the same. I highly recommend the Gaythering for a fun night or a weekend getaway!

A very noisy party hotel.

My go-to spot whenever I go out. The bar is cozy with great staff and outs a good place to meet the locals. I really love this place. Karaoke on Mondays is always fun.

It's okay, cool vibe. Bartenders could be more proactive. They struggle if more than 10 people are there.

The room was large and inviting, I loved the decor throughout the entire hotel and also the room, it is fun and cheeky. This hotel may not be for everyone, but if you're a little cheeky and naughty it is most welcomed. Seriously, who says to not use the white towels and provides a specific black towel for makeup, shoes, cum or whatever?! The staff was phenomenal, thank you Kyle for all your help day of checking out! Russell was a great bartender and makes an amazing drink! The spa was very clean and a great place to relax and unwind. I wish my stay in Miami was longer, one night here at the Gaythering was not enough. I will be back, and soon I too I hope!

This hotel is unique, chic, and treats locals quite well. The cocktail menu is ever-changing but always delicious.

Clean rooms, friendly staff, great activities, cold drinks, hot coffee. Amazing place and looking forward to returning.

We decided on Hotel Gaythering because they offered yoga classes throughout the week, and the classes did not disappoint. Joseph, the instructor, was excellent. The entire hotel staff was welcoming and helpful, specifically Carl and JC. It wasn't convenient having to bother the front desk every time we wanted let into the spa, but I understand the need for traffic control. Overall, great visit.

First gay hotel I've been and I we loved it. Expended the week with my boyfriend in Miami and stayed two nights at this hotel. Very nice rooms. Beautiful Decoration and great customer service.

Super nice rooms, nicely decorated! Downside, if you came by car you have to park it a few hundred yards away and pay $30 over night! day spa opens only at 11am! So not for early birds! Anyway it must be nothing more than a gay sex fest! Staff quite cold!

Beautiful, industrial and super cozy! The staff was very nice to my bf and I. I love that this is a pro gay place where they educate guests over other gay friendly bars and spots in town. Yey to positive energy humans! Thumbs up! :D.

I needed a hotel to overnight in Miami and found this treasure. The rooms are spectacular, the service was heart warming and the other guests there were pleasant and welcoming. I ended up going nowhere that night because I hung out with the other guests in the small garden in front talking till the early hours of the morning. I would absolutely stay here again given the chance. Do not let the fact that it's a gay friendly hotel stop you. I'm not and had a very pleasant stay. On a final note. I totally disagree with the review posted by Mr. Mann. I neither saw nor experienced any of what he says he did. I paid my deposit and board in cash and got a receipt with no problem. When I checked out, I got my deposit back in full without any issues whatsoever. Smoking is allowed right on the porch and in the garden. There were ample tables with ash trays available. And ALL the staff were pleasant and courteous with me at all times. I have stayed in a ton of hotels and I can categorically state that this is one of my top 20 stays I've had all over the world.

Hôtel Gaythering If I could choose no stars I would. For a "Gay" Hotel/Resort that has a seedy typical orgy forming "Day Spa" with hot tub, steam room, lockers etc. Of course a waiver is requested to be signed before your enter. However, I paid a $150 deposit which i'm sure I won't get back, they accused me of smoking in the room. Which I did not, but am curious if I'm breaking a rule, today I was to check out but they took my money to stay another night. After I checked in is when the smoking accusations started, so they already had my money. I immediately said I guess I'll checkout / cancel the transaction we made minutes before, however the "NO REFUNDS" policy is also strict apparently. I will say a few of the staff have been somewhat decent, but it does not make the owners whom where on property, And seem to be a bit pretentious. In a hotel you expect to have privacy, instead you have staff whom gossip, draw inaccurate conclusions and make me the guest uncomfortable. I could go on. Deposit is a scam, they have UNREPORTED construction going on while here. Cutting tile, Hammering and renovating other rooms. However we are supposed to tolerate that with no recourse. In other words this isn't a Hotel and Far from a resort. More like a short term nightmare. No parking, no amenities (unless you want sex) but plenty of Attitude, rude and unprofessional staff. I also find it convenient that they didn't give me a receipt for a all cash deposit. Just beware this hotel.
