Just want to share poor, disrespectful and rude client service at the bar of this hotel. I understand it’s Friday before Halloween and the place is busy. I waited in line for a drink for almost 20 min. I was situated between the two bartenders so I was not attended to though other people on the sides were being served more promptly. I asked the bartender (big guy with a beard) when my turn will be. He flipped out and started telling me that it’s too busy. I asked him whether him or the the other bartender is responsible for my drinks since I was situated in the middle of the bar. He continued yelling and told me “if you don’t like it go elsewhere”. I respectfully left the bar area and as I was leaving he childishly said in a loud voice “bye”. Being the respectful professional I am, I ignored him and went to the manager to report the incident and asked to talk to the owner. He couldn’t find him but I was later able to find him and told him what happened. His response was shocking to me to say the least. He second guessed my story implying that it couldn’t have escalated had I not said something else. He then said that this is his best bartender and therefore there is nothing he can do about it. He then asked me if I was gonna report the incident on social media. That’s all he cares about! I asked him back what would you do if you were me? He replied “I don’t know what you would do. We are just trying to have a nice time”. This is the way the owner of the place handles and contains a situation in which his bartender was obviously wrong. Even if the bartender wasn’t wrong which was not the case, usually the client is always right but it seems that this applies everywhere else but at this poorly run business. I’m surprised at the way the owner handles complaints and at his poor ability to contain an unsatisued customer who was disrespected by his own employee. That speaks for why his bartender was rude in the first place. It’s because he knows he I’ll get away with it as his boss will always take his side even if he tells customers to go elsewhere. Needless to say I will never give him my business again.
