We booked a bungalow (living room, kitchen, fridge, four beds), and when we checked in they put us in the wrong room which was just 4 beds, no fridge and no kitchen. When we talked to them the next day, they explained there was construction and no more bungalows available, but never emailed us or told us before hand, and the guy who checked us in never even told us he was putting us in the wrong room. I'm assuming they never told us about construction because they wanted to keep our business. They only reason we stayed here was for the kitchen to save money on grocery bills while we were attending a music festival. We ended up having to buy a cooler and ice in order to keep a very small amount of drinks cold, but couldn't keep any food, and we ended up having to eat out for nearly every meal paying a lot of extra money. They refunded the difference of the rooms, and gave us "$100" worth of free drink coupons as compensation, but we went to the bar a whole 2 hours before closing, and all they could give us was 6 terrible beers worth probably $6. They said the bar was closing early due to bad business, and refused to make us any cocktails. The extra cost of food ended up being so much more than the value of this compensation. On one occasion housekeeping left our door open the entire time we left for the music festival, but thankfully nobody came in and stole all of our stuff. All we got was a "sorry about that". They would take our towels but never replace them, and we would have to walk down to the main lobby every time the four of us wanted more. Honestly the only good thing about this place is the people who attend it. Every guest there was really nice, and the some of the people at the front desk were friendly, but I have never seen a more poorly managed hostel in my entire life after years of travelling.
