Hotel

At 1am we were woken with the fire alarm. Hotel was evacuated. No member of staff was present. A guest had to call fire department. No one from the hotel was there to do roll call. Two fire trucks and 6 police cars attended.
Luckily there was no fire, and no one was hurt.
Reception confirmed to me that the hotel is unmanned at night!
It is all above retail units, one of them is a pizza shop (this is where you have breakfast)
It left us very shaken and unable to sleep.

Unauthorized charges on credit card.

Very nice little place. Very Miami, and a block from the beach.

My friends and I stayed here early April for one night. It was a wonderful experience from start to finish. Beautiful rooms and VERY hospitable employees! AMAZING customer service! I will be back, and I will be recommending this hidden gem to all my friends!

Very good reception, staff very freindly and the room is spacious, very clean! perfect location and good breakfast! I recommend this hotel as very good value for the price!

This hotel is wonderful! Quaint, but really fit what we were looking for! In a great location in walking distance to the beach, restaurants, and shops. The staff was extremely helpful and nice. The rooms were lovely, and kept very clean! We will definitely stay again when we come back to Miami.

This place was fabulous for the price. Awesome customer service. Very accommodating. The continental breakfast was very filling as well. The rooms were a amazing and very clean. Just watch where you park. Valet parking was $30 a night and the parking deck was $100. Watch for the flat rate at the parking decks.

I truly enjoyed my stay this weekend with Ithaca! The location is fantastic in South Beach and the service was wonderful also. Aimee and the rest of the staff were kind and respectful. The room was cozy and very nice. Thank you so much for having us and I can’t wait for my next trip to Miami!

Hotel location is very convenient. They provided a great value for money and made me feel relaxed. Friendly staff and superb customer services. Rooms are spacious, clean and modern. Will revisit there.

Nice hotel and good customer service. Although not like any other hotels since its in between ar deco district but very nice and very nearby to south beach so really pleasant stay we had. They even allow you to keep your luggage before and after checkin and checkout respectively so really nice service.

Very nice, small hotel with good service. Don't expact to much from breakfast, but rooms are good. There is water during the day in the lobby and in the evening you get some wine and cheese. For your visit of the beach you can take chairs, parasols, etc… People there are really nice!

The food and drinks were divine.

Returned for the second consecutive year and very satisfied. Very clean and comfortable rooms Friendly and smiling staff, always willing to help. Breakfast included, something rare here in the states, tasty and abundant. Wine to socialize in the evening. Excellent location, close to Ocean Drive and restaurants. In short, we found our hotel for Miami Beach, when we return this will be our choice. Really five-star.

Stay in Ithaca for the second time: For me it is a great solution. Spacious and well-equipped rooms; Spotless; Breakfast The hotel provides beach equipment, towels, armchairs and parasols, just a stone's throw from Ocean Drive.

Good location. Prices are better than many others. Rooms are small but so are most others. You pay for location.

A very clean building with a lot of tranquility and cozy wish there would be many for seniors with those features.

Prime location, in the heart of south beach and good staff. Very close to shopping, beach and restaurants. Good for couples.

While the front door is not nice, the rooms are lovely, very helpful the staff and the location very good.

Location Mega between Collins Ave and Ocean Drive. Hotel is located on the first floor. There is a cargo elevator for luggage. Our room had a decent size and the bathroom was renovated. Very quiet, except for the air conditioning … Breakfast ok and is taken in the floor in front of the said cargo elevator; No joke! Many have had breakfast in the room.

A small but cozy hotel, the attention and its location the best. I'd be back!

Kind of difficult to find even with GPS. Lighted sign would help. Small hotel. Elevator for luggage only. Must use stairs to walk up to check-in and rooms. Rooms are large and very modern looking. Our stay was not very pleasant. A couple next to us had a party till 1am. Very loud music. The front desk told us they were supposed to cut off at 11 p. M. This is the reason why I'm giving a 2 star rating. I would have given a higher rating because the evening wine and cheese was good also the breakfast was nice.

I was here at this hotel a month ago. These people are extremely strict. They watch every move you make. You have no privacy here. Cameras are everywhere. I had my sister over visiting me who lives in Miami and the manager at Ithaca claims my sister stayed over. She came to help me with my luggage after 10pm. They made me pay $100 saying I had more than 2 people staying in their room. You cant have visitors after 10pm. Also I needed a towel. The towels were near my room. I grabbed one to use. They called my room immediately and said we are stealing towels. Although the room was clean and small. I am sure I could have found another hotel that didn't harrass me like this one and wasn't so strict. I could have enjoyed myself better as a visitor to Miami. I would never stay here again when I am in Miami.

I have to say that this place is very wonderful. The staff is great and the location even better. The breakfast isn't extravagant but it provides healthy essentials that will definitely jump start your day. They allowed us to check in early so we were able to enjoy the beach and the sites. I give it 5 stars because I didn't have 1 bad experience… Yet, I'm leaving at 11 so we'll see.

Very large rooms and friendly staff.

Excellent location in the heart of South Beach, excellent staff, and beautiful spacious, huge room! Loved the art deco decor and chandelier, plus the European style breakfast and the evening wine and cheese!

From the beach, and has everything you need in the area. Modern clean rooms. A little breakfast in the mornings for your start… Juice tea coffe toast sweet breads fruit etc
The old style little elevator takes your luggage up to the second floor. A great little place! I recommend the Ithaca for Sourh Beach!

This is such a great place to stay. Lovely spacious rooms, very clean & comfortable. Ideally situated for everything especially Ocean drive which is just about 1 minutes walk away. At night it's in a nice quiet area. The air-conditioning in the rooms is brilliant & the staff are very helpful. I would highly recommend anyone to stay here. My wife found this on
TripAdvisor at the beginning of the year. Blink & you'd miss the doorway to this hidden gem.

Our stay at Ithaca South Beach was amazing. The rooms are beautiful and comfortable, not to mention spotless. The location is close to everything we wanted to do, and most of all, the staff is amazing! Brian and Maria were both so helpful and kind to us during our visit. It was like staying with an awesome family member. The beach equipment really came in handy and made our beach outing just perfect. I would highly recommend Ithaca to anyone looking for a place to stay near South Beach. I hope to return many times.

Absolutely fantastic place. Great treatment from Luiz to know everything you need to know. Rooms are extremely nice. Very modern and with plenty of space. Location is simply perfect. Very close to Story and to the beach restaurants. Plus you get a little wine/cheese time everyday in the recepction. So far the best experience I had in the USA.

For my first time here in south beach I felt as though this was the only choice I had for a hotel that wasn't full of bugs and other issues. The rate of the hotel was 160 understandable for a room in this area, however charges kept piling up after the fact. Valet, room charges, charges for things in the social room etc etc. This "boutique" also does 3pm check in, so between whenever you arrive in south beach until 3pm be aware that parking your car will be either 4 dollars per 1/2 or 30+ dollars for the day which this hotel also charges for the "valet" of your car to a garage across the street. When we finally got to the "boutique" and signed the paper work we were told everything in the mini bar is included in the rate, then he elaborated later and said the mini bar is empty however a bottle of gray goose and a bottle of "smart water" is on top of it with price cards of 30.00 and 6.00 when that bottle of water is easily. 99 at a target or grocery store. The room was nice, it kind of looks like IKEA exploded in it. The pillows smelled great, the soaps and bathroom stuff seemed to be high end products however I never use this stuff as I travel with my own soap and shampoo. Social hour; coffee and snacks, nothing to scream about. Most of it was pretzels, keurig coffee, tea bags that are in Spanish, and Chex mix. "Complimentary breakfast" — this was the saddest hotel breakfast I've ever had. Bagels, desert breads/cakes along with fruits and yogurts.

Great hotel and amazing service. While the enterance to the hotel is sketch and the rooms are a little noisy, we would stay here again in a heartbeat because of the service, value and room and location.

Great hotel! The head concierge knows everything around the area. Spent few days in there it was lovely! I was greatly welcome. The breakfast was good. The room I stayed in was luxurious! It is an excellent hotel with low prices for the location which is only a block away from south beach!

Came here for a weekend for my best friends birthday, and we all LOVED Ithaca. Great location, first off. Close to everything so don't even worry about driving too far since so much is within walking distance. Rooms are beautifully decorated. The hostess, who provided champagne when we came in ;D, also mentioned that a lot of the rooms are different, so I'm sure they're all cool. The people were exceptionally nice too. Did I mention free champagne upon arrival? Definitely wow'd. Would come back, would recommend.
