Spacious and bright room but we had asked for a baby cot to several recoveries before our trip and nothing was done. Not cool level security for the little cabbage.

Great choice near everything, right rooms, comfortable and always clean. All the staff could not be more friendly, always well willing to answer queries. That the Parking is included in an area where the public parkings can be worth up to $ s20 the night, is not a minor data. We recommend it and we will come back.

To stay one or two nights it's OK. As it is affordable and only 5 minutes from the oceandrive. The beach is also only a 5 minute walk away.
The rooms are simple but could be better furnished with some love. The beds are soft, not to say, and the shower head is also refreshed.
Nothing for a longer stay. Staff is nice.
Cleanliness could be better. Nothing for meticulous people.

They'll treat you well. You are asked to tip for service there is little parking but there's predisposition to help you. Speak Spanish.

I booked 2 double bed room to spend a night that has everything in it microwave, fridge, tv, shampoo towel etc. Walking distance from beach and other local shops. Bathroom was small and need upgrade. “Cheapest hotel with parking”

The hotel is in a good location. Parking is included in the hotel fee, which is definitely a plus. The decor is eclectic but the rooms / beds / bathrooms need serious upgrade. Amenities are spartan.

It smells everywhere for mold and it lacks hygiene.

Zero recommended. We found a bedbug alive on the bed on the half-hour of being in the room of this hotel. Of course, we didn't spend the night because we were not willing to sleep between bed bugs and wake up full of bites. The receptionist at the hotel informed us that the manager we would return the money if we came back the next day. After busting on several occasions by the hotel and perform many other calls (with the expense of the foreigner), we get the manager we did the alleged return. It seems to be that he did it fraudulently and have never come to receive the amount that we pay. We call them several times to return back to our country and wash their hands. A shame. Zero recommended.

We would have expected more for the price. The hotel is within walking distance of Ocean Drive. The price was by no means justified. The room was large and we could sleep due to the very quiet location also with open window. However, it was filthy. The bedding was filthy and full of hair. The room overall made a dingy impression. If we had a cheap price, I would have said OK. But this room was more expensive per night than a good clean central Hotel in Manhattan. Conclusion: Location top. Eyes to and through. You must be able to overlook dirt. I'm afraid you can afford Miami Beach.

The hotel is the worst I have ever stayed at. Some hostel offers more.
The rooms are so dirty and unkempt, you hardly think that if I hadn't checked in at about 11pm I would have done more theater and reception. Dirty pillows, Harre in bed and in the bathroom ancient Tesafilmstreifen on the floor are just a trifle. Mold on the windows. Glued remote control etc. I don't even know where to start and stop. The beds are quite hard but covered with a kind of foil, so that at night Yemen's rustling when you turn around. Very uncomfortable, also you hear the water pipe for the others and especially good the adjoining rooms. The hallways are dirty spider weaving on the water pipes and in the rooms.
The service for a free late checkout was unfortunately also the only good thing about this stay. Also negative is that there is no ice machine in this hotel, there is otherwise in every small motel. The answer was go to CVS because you get ice. (5 kg for $3, what should I do with 5 kg of ice? )
Unfortunately not a nice stay.
PS Some have also criticized the need to leave the car key at the reception. Just for info that make a lot of hotels that belongs in the US.

The hotel was great. A little rundown so not something for everybody. The staff were very nice. Simple hotel but solid. It has its own parking place which was very handy since otherwise you'd have to look around all Miami Beach for a parking spot.

Very close to the beach, walking distance, very clean, the hotel owners and staff are very nice and helpful, unique furniture and design, close to the Lincoln Road Mall, feels like home away from home and also has free parking. Would recommend staying here. I will definitely be coming back to this hotel the next time I come to Miami.

The Hotel is nice and well located. Cleanliness is fair. The mattresses had plastic covers and the sheets were set upside down. The staff were very friendly and helpful. There Are parking included in the price but with limited places.

Staff was friendly and helpful, astmosphere was colorful and nice, the first room I saw was old and dingy, I ask for another room which was a little better but still everything is old and worn out, cheap furnishings. Bottom line they need to up grade their rooms. Its a good value for the money for the area with free parking, but a very short term stay is the way to go. They need to spend some money on these rooms for a more comfortable stay.

Deserves 5 stars for its location and treatment… best choice in south beach and close to everything… I am hosted at the hotel and walk you go to all sides… I am going to return it!

The James hotel was very welcoming to me, the staff were great friendly me and my friend stayed here from 10/08 until 10/12/2017, I made memories on my first trip to Florida! Because of the James I want to come back, they have reasonable prices and the hotel has tons of personality, with their decor it almost tells a story, like reading a pop up book in elementary, really felt great in here! And the owner is such a great person! I will be coming back here every time I book a trip back to Miami ❤️ -your new friend and Customer from NY Amanda!

Very good location. Very good customer service. Free parking which is very important. The decoration of the entrance is not nice but is the least important.

Awful, smelly, nasty place! It is EXTREMELY noisy and offers no comforts of a hotel. If I could give less than one star, I would. Please don't waste your time. The bathroom was not cleaned AT ALL prior to arrival! This place is clearly unsanitary and not suitable for anyone who wants some small semblance of decency.

We would recommend the James to anyone who values cleanliness and affordability! It is a very cute "art deco" family run hotel, within walking distance to just about anything you'd want to do in the area. We will be coming back.

Pretty good hotel. No swimming pool the guy that sits in the lobby is very rude. The location of the hotel is everything though! right around the corner from everything. If you are just wanting a place to sleep after a long day I would recommend! stay away from the older guy that just sits there he could be very rude. Hes there everymorning. I do not mean to be so abrupt about him. We did not deserve him being rude to us!

Cute and quaint hotel located in the heart of South Beach. The hotel has a very cozy and authentic Latin feel, and there are great shops, great eats, and entertainment nearby. Upon arrival to the hotel, my guest and I were greeted by James who was truly welcoming, amicable, and very hospitable. Cleaning staff were wonderful also and did a superb job. We were truly satisfied with the level of service and I would definitely return to James Hotel… hopefully sometime soon because Miami is mesmerizing!

I loved the ambiance and how clean the room was. The proximity to the beach and the included parking make this ideal for anyone with a car (all other hotels charge extra 40 USD) ocean drive is 0.3 miles from the hotel also. Proximity to everything important in Miami Beach and included parking make it a must.

Very good hotel, Casanova (owner) is a nice man. Free coffee in the morning in the lobby, but the man who makes the coffee always makes very strange looks to me I recommend because of great location free parking, friendly staff.

Clean rooms, funky decor. A fun place to stay. Bathroom has been recently redone, Flat-screen TV, full size fridge and microwave and great working AC. Location is walking distance to everything. Plus free parking! Will stay here again, everyone was nice and friendly.

Quiet hotel a block away from the convention center where we would be attending a convention. Great staff, small but clean rooms (exception of faint cigarette smell), great price for the location. My only negative was that they do not have parking and the lot across the street charges $30/day. Was lucky enough to have family near by to park at. Otherwise it would have cost us $60 in parking to attend the convention and stay one night.

Were 6 nights in the James Hotel, three and three interspersed with a cruise by Bahamas, the location is excellent, them rooms spacious, is a hotel quite old, and not is of it best but at least worked the wi fi and us kept them suitcases that us unfilled free of charge in the week that spent in the cruise. Only it used to bathe us and sleep, sometimes ate in the room because all have tables, chairs, refrigerator and microwave. Not is the best of the area but is 100% ratio price-quality.

Now, James Hotel is not the place you want to stay if you like to live fancy, eat breakfast at the hotel and be mentally at ease all the time (I found bed bugs in my bed three times the last two days we stayed there).

Very central. Awesome staff. Clean rooms. Lack of bar fridge was the only let down. Also no exhaust fan/ventilation in the bathroom (only a slightly open window)

Warning: do not stay at this hotel, we found bed bugs in room 318. We check in around 9pm then went to dinner, we come back hotel around 10 straight went to bed, as soon as went to bed we got bit by bed bug, We check out imminently and find another hotel. But when I ask refund from the owner Torre, he is very rude and refuse to refund any money even though I show him the photo of the bed bugs and the bits on our body. He threaten me that made me fell very unsafe in Miami. After long negotiation he refund me $100, but I paid $330 and stay in hotel less than a hour. I lost $230 and got many bits, a very sad experience with James Hotel!

Great location but my room wasn't that great. I have coworkers rooms that I went to look at that were quite nice, but mine was kind of sub par.

We were staying a week. The location is strategic. Near Lincoln Road, of Ocean Drive and of the beach, there are supermarkets and pharmacies to few meters. Has a parking just opposite (quite expensive, $30 per day). We reserve one bedroom Suite, it is quite wide and correct for the price. The maid service was very good. It only that is could improve is that the air conditioning is quite loud, you end up getting used but is a good point to improve. The pool is girl but complies perfectly with the purpose, by its location the Sun lasts little in the sector. The Wi-Fi is very good in plant low, so if is priority request rooms it more closely to the reception. In the rooms of the third floor not is connected. In the rooms which overlook the alley, it is inevitable to hear the noises of the garbage truck that are quite annoying early morning.
In summary, the hotel met with our expectations, were very well attended and here highlight the attention of Angel in the reception.

Hey. The naysayers apparently don't get Miami and its cray cray pricing where rates are over 600$ on average a night. For a 100$ this was an AMAZING DEAL! Especially being across the street from the Delano and kitty corner from Lincoln. Location location location :) No bed bugs found here. Boutique is older but clean and quite artsy in a quirky manner. Room had a full size fridge, microwave, and flat panel TV. Was worried it might be a hostel. IT IS NOT! Manager guy was very nice and apologetic for running out of parking spots (arrive early). We found public parking in the garage off 16th 3 blocks away for $15 FLAT per 12 hours (uber cheap for the beach) BoOM! I would stay here again. Cheers.

This hotel is a gem in a perfect location. I've stayed in many places in Miami Beach and every place had rude staff, but this place has an amazing staff, and the price is great and anyone who complains obviously hasn't seen the prices of other hotels in the area. If you want a peaceful quite stay in miami this is the place, with a short walk to the beach. A lot of the other hotels have bars and clubs below which make it very noisy. You get what you pay for and this place I was satisfied.
