Reviews of Beds n' Drinks 3*
It's a good place, clean and organized, maybe not your roommate.
Really great experience. The staff is really nice, the hostel is really well placed and it's a great place to meet other people.
Very clean and relaxed atmosphere, place to make friends and enjoy the rest of your holidays with. Staff are really nice and friendly.
The best thing about the hostel is the location, just steps from the beach and from Lincoln Road. The hostel has a bar but it doesn't have much atmosphere. It also includes breakfast, but it is very basic and not enough. The bedrooms are spacious but not very comfortable (the air conditioner sounds very strong, day and night). Activities are organized to go out in the evenings. It's a good choice for a tight budget trip.
Rooms and lobby and whole hostel is very clean and environment is hygienic. Hotel staff is very friendly. Breakfast is delicious. Overall rate is cheap. Location is very good too.
LOCATION: It is located half a block from Lincoln Rd, pedestrian street full of commercial premises. It is also two blocks from the beach. They lend you towels to take them to the sea.
INTERACTION: Each day have different activities proposals, for example Thursdays is free Hot Dogs day in the backyard. They also organise discos with transfer included and free drinks.
ROOM: Although it is not too wide, it is well laid out and has lockers for each passenger. The bathroom is inside the room and separated from the sleeping area, in an anteroom. You can change personal towels every day.
BREAKFAST: is included at no additional charge. It's a bit repetitive, though complete. Every day it is a fruit, yogurt, toast or begles with butter, jam and dulce de leche, tea or coffee. Some days a cereal bar.
CHECK IN: We had a little setback as we wanted to charge double what our reservation said in booking.
BAR: Although it has a wide variety of drinks and beverages, there are no discounts for hostel guests, and it is a bit pricey.
PLACE: At the time of breakfast, there was little place inside and most outside, which if it rains you have no where to have breakfast.
Excellent Hostel in a key and busy location in Miami! Very cool people and facilities, the only thing we always had problems with was with the Wifi.
The Incredible rest!
I don’t know why I keep booking at this place as I regret it instantly every time I check in. Lots of hidden costs, tried to charge me tax twice. An resort fees? This isn’t Vegas! Tired to justify it by saying it’s for things like hair dryers and towels which every hostel I’ve ever stayed in will charge per use rather than charging you for stuff you don’t use. Not backpacker friendly at all. No facilities and require credit cards or take MASSIVE cash bonds and clearly Clearly a place for spring breakers and those jersey shore type party people. General bad vibes from the staff there too. Seems this hostel is more focused on making money than letting people have a good time. Should have gone to freehand.
Great place who take care of your leisure activities. Every day they have an event, also games room and a cinema. Free breakfast provided. And a lot of affordable guided tours around Miami by the land and by the ocean.
Very good location. Good price with for hostel conditions good breakfast. Rooms are clean and spacious.
It is a nice place, very nice to share with people from all over the world, very organized, 3 minutes from the beach, and close to all the most important bars and restaurants in the area.
Good attention. Excellent condition. Rich Breakfast. No discomfort.
Unfortunately they ran us unjustifiedly from the room. For no reason a staff member broke in. Pushing and daringly took our ipod. Talking to more guests who were witnesses. We are told that this is not the first time that this situation has happened and they have called the police several times in situations like this. Staff who broke our privacy and assaulted us is called "Criss" the shift manager is a young man. That did not manage the situation and proved to be an unprepared person with very little attention to the customer… ill service and attention will never return and my recommendations are null… additional our room had small cockroaches I have photo of that even a Video.
Very good hostel to stay in Miami Beach. Is super well located. The rooms have a private bathroom, air conditioning and lockers (you must bring your own padlock). The breakfast that is served is of good quality. Would I choose.
Without doubt what visitaria again, excellent attention, clean rooms, good atmosphere and located in the best area of miami beach… Totally recommended.
I don’t know why is here low rating maybe room was good and cleaned enough for 8 people sleeping in one room… Basically room were clean enough, price is fair, location is awesome, it just worth for what you pay, bring your own lock to lock locker, bring sandals to hang inside room, might be dirty because 8 people walking inside, restroom was clean, bathroom was okay, breakfast is okay and better than I expected anyway… clean environment. Bar at lobby. Balcony, second floor seating area… but there is dirty rooms depending your roommate not to company. So it is up to you to choose staying with strangers or you can get private room too…
What I found nice was that they had bathroom and shower in every room. Also perfect location to be close to everything on the beach. Pretty clean. I didn't have high hopes for breakfast and so it was eh, but ok. However there was a security/harassment incident that was not necessarily the hostel's fault, but it was handled very poorly by the administration in the beginning in order to, what I assume, avoid bad publicity. They need to train staff how to respond and escalate things properly instead of lying to residents that they "took care of it" while actually doing nothing.
The experience you have at this hostel and perhaps any hostel is greatly impacted by the fellow guests, staff, and facility. I read nearly 2 dozen recent reviews before making my informed choice. I felt concerned about cleanliness, theft, and comfort. But most importantly, transportation and location were large factors as I did not have a rental car this trip. My experience is that for this price point, it is impossible to hire the staff and pay for upgrades to make this place equivalent to a nice hotel. While I agree that in my 8 person shared room, I felt slightly grossed out by the facilities, they were still within what I expected. This hostel sees a lot of traffic and it would be very hard to keep up with so many people coming through. They have very small lockers to secure your valuables-the size of a gym locker. However, I managed to unlock my backpack and lock up most of my belongings. There wash basin, toilet, and shower area were the last flattering in my room and I tried to touch as few things as I possibly could. My roommates kept snorting, coughing, and hacking up phlegm… And I wished I had a face mask. There are a lot of electrical outlets in my room but being in the top bunk made it difficult to access because the lower bunk guy was always sleeping and I couldn't reach the wall. The free breakfast was appreciated but very simple.
Several things to say of this place. Let's start with the good… the staff is excellent, always with good manners and willing to answer the questions. The place in if it is well kept, outside and in the hallways, but there are things in the rooms that do not work. In the room that we stayed, the curtain was broken so the sun at 7 am you gave in the face. The hair dryer was broken. Should of put more plugs, especially for the bed above. The cleaning left a little to be desired, especially in the bathroom. Need to put in cabinets larger to fit even the bags of hand. The air-conditioning outside of the rooms was too cold! In terms of the people that stays there… note that there are several people who spend a lot of time in the place, that is to say that do not have houses and they go from hostel to hostel… the worst thing that happened is that they stole an important sum of money inside of a locker locked with a combination lock. We had stayed in a mixed dormitory room for 8 people. Unfortunately we were not able to solve nothing because, by law, cannot review the belongings of other people, even having made the police report. Obvious that this is not the fault of the hostel, but it is to take into account if you are staying at one.
A Great hostal, the Best I ever been… I made some good griends here, is save, secure, so close to the beach and all main atractions. The people here is so kind and helpful, you will have a great time.
Excellent location. Very friendly Staff. Nice Bar. Cleanliness is far above, no care. They Must improve that Point. There Were cockroaches in the room.
I've traveled to 10 different countries in the world and have stayed in many different states in the US and this is probably the worst place I've ever stayed in. Main issues: 1) Not safe — People just come and go when they please. There was a guy that was following me around and there was no security to report it to. There was one girl staying in my room that was hiding from management because she hasn't paid for a couple of nights. If they let someone like that stay in the room, how can I be sure that my things don't vanish? I left one day earlier than what I paid for because I really didn't feel safe. 2) Cheap — They don't even provide napkins for breakfast and are disgruntled when guests asks for napkins. 3) Staff just don't care — One night I accidentally left my phone on the Lyft ride and they won't do anything to help me. They pointed at a drunk male guest near the reception and to ask him for help. That is so unacceptable. 4) Fraudulent — Never got my $20 deposit back even though I returned all three things (towel, room key, metal thing to mark your bed) and checked out 1 whole day early. Final verdict: Spend a few more dollars at a more reputable hostel that won't give you headaches. AVOID at all cost.
Beautiful and complete place. Breakfast is half poor.
Service was excellent, all employees are very nice and flexible with their services. Also they a quick problem solver or to change something you are not comfortable with.
Close to Lincoln Rd and Beach! Free breakfast (2 slices of bread, jam, nutella, banana, yogurt, granola bar and coffee) every morning from 7:00 to 9:00. Very friendly staff. Despite a bar being in the entrance area it's not extremely noisy at night. Bathroom could be cleaner (got "visited" by a small cockroach the first night I took a shower, but that was the only incident involving small animals). Not enough plug-ins to charge electrical devices overnight. The bar serves reasonably priced drinks (at leats the coffee, compared to the Starbucks-equivalent).
I stayed here for 3 nights while in Miami. I travelled alone and stayed in a female dorm. The hostel is located near to Lincoln Road mall so you are walking distance from shopping, restaurants, bars etc. The staff at the hostel are very helpful. There are also a lot of activities including visits to clubs on Wednesday night to Saturday night. On other days there are activities on site. There's a bar with cool staff as well as a patio and garden area to relax. They also offer a shuttle from and to both the Miami and Ft. Lauderdale airports.
The staff is friendly, but the rooms are not very clean. The breakfast is edible, but don't expect a buffet. Everybody gets the same amount and the same stuff, every morning. They should definitely change that concept. All in all a nice and price-worthy place to stay in Miami South Beach, as everything surrounding the hostel is just veeeery expensive. Welcome to Miami Beach.
Perfect hostel for the typical Miami party kinds. If ur the quiet ones like me you will love the back patio.
The staff is friendly, but tge rooms are not overly clean. The breakfast is edible, but don't expect a buffet. Everybody gets the same amount and the same stuff, every morning. They should definitely change that concept. All in all a nice and price worthy place to stay in Miami South Beach, as everything surrounding the hostel is just veeeery expensive. Welcome to Miami Beach.
Spacious rooms, comfortable, good people wave, clean, the breakfast is not the best but pulls away. Recommended, would return.
Everything I look for in a hostel and more. Very basic rooms, which I expected considering the cheap price and fantastic location. The staff were incredibly friendly and always happy to give advice on where to go. The breakfast was also an added surprise.
Old building, so be prepared. But the accoustic isolation is great. Air conditioning too. Morning coffee needs to be improved. The best of this place is the location!
Amazing staff! They really know how to make you comfortable… People who stay here are mostly international and they are mostly cool! If you are looking to experience hostel scene, Beds N Drinks is a must-go place!
The staff is amazing. The beds are comfortable and it's fun seeing new people from all over. The people are very nice and it's easy to communicate if you need something or have questions about anything.
This was a pretty cool place to spend the night. The dorms were sizable, beds were very comfy, and it had a great ambiance. However, the bag storage procedures were very odd and it left us waiting for 5-10 minutes at a time and the staff were clearly frustrated with us every time we needed our bags. The system that was checking us in broke 3 times and so that meant we had to show them our I. D. 'S and credit cards 3 times, and the guy checking us in didn't really seem to know anything about the hostel or the activities. Overall, there's obviously a lot of money invested in the building and not a lot in training or check-in services. However, 11/10 stars for Alexandra. She went a bove and beyond and was the sweetest person. Alexandra, gave us the fantastic advice to go to Wynwood walls, which is a graffiti and art district.
Stopped in for drinks and games. They've got ping pong, a beer pong table, and corn hole boards (that are admittedly way too close together and the bean bags are pretty bad). Inside the bar manager (Amit? I think? ) was super awesome and made us some great drinks. No idea how the rooms are, but I would stop by for a chill drink again.
For being a hostel I will give 4 stars. The staff is awesome in every aspect, everything that I need they were promptly and friendly. Been there for a week in a shared room, the cleanliness was OK, depending of the guests. Location is a plus. If you are looking for fun and a place to sleep in Miami this is the place.
Location is great close to the beach. Bar is super nice and makes for a good place to meet others at the hostel. Friendly staff. Little bit pricey for the drinks and hookah. Can get hectic when drunk people barge in the room when people are asleep. Overall positive experience though.
The atmosphere is very nice, for people who are travelling alone or with friends em plan party, because the bar is very Good. However, the negative aspects are, The rooms very pequenhas for so many people, and the breakfast is pretty bad. In terms of price is quite Good because it is Well located.
One of the better hostels that I have stayed at. Its in a great location, close to the beach and a CVS and tour guide around the corner. We had a private room and the room had nice windows, bathroom was outstanding, and the bed was a king size bed and felt newer. I would highly recommend this place. I would give it 5 stars but the free breakfast was more of a free snack bar. You got to pick from a banana, honey bun, oatmeal, or yogurt. That was my only complaint.
Bathrooms are nice. The sink is outside of the bathroom which is good because you could brush your teeth while someone showers. Beds are comfortable. Close to a TD bank and CVS which has everything even late night liqour. Try Groove's pizza. It's right beside it. Also there is giy named Jorge that is just super chill and cool. If you're into fashion definitely talk to him.
Excellent location, very cute place, and very modern in comparison with hostels nearby. Located in the heart of Miami Beach, close to everything and in an area great. It is a hostel remodeled, brought in new and is the best compared to other hostels nearby (that are kept without fixing their designs old)
The price is very good compared to the hostels nearby, and to the level that you have, and even if you go to several you can arrange a better price. The only "problem" is that they are accustomed to make their holidays very early for an argentine, so when one is returning from the beach or a stroll in the hostel have already begun those meetings typically do in the U. S. Yes, the catering, the reception place and the other employees of the place are very friendly all the time and several speak Spanish fluently.
Such a great experience. I wasn't expect all that I have for what I pay. They clean the bedroom twice per day, snacks for breakfast, coffee, nice bar, nice patio and an excelent staff. You also have the oportunitie to meet a lot of nice people from other countries. I definitely recommend this place and will return to spend a perfect time at South beach since this has one of the best location.
The only positive things I can say about this place is the convenient location and the guys who helped with our luggage. The men were very helpful and friendly. On another note… the website does not mention you have to give them a $20 deposit for a dollar store bath towel, no face towel and the room key. As long as you return everything you get your $20 back. I have never stayed in a hostel so I was clueless and shocked by the many roommates that came thru during my vacation. I tried to talk to management about a room change but after waiting 30 min to talk with management she did not seem concerned or cared enough to make my friends and I feel more comfortable. The water pressure in the showers are very low and its hard to take a decent shower. The complimentary breakfast is a sack breakfast! Yes, a sack bag with a mini bagel, yogurt and 1 piece of fruit. Oh yeah and lets not forget the altercation the same mangaer had with another guest who she threaten and called the police on. I watched the whole situation while I was waiting to check-out and the mangager could have done a much better job explaining the situation to the young lady. Other than that, if you are looking for a very cheap place to stay and do not care about customer service this is the place for you.
Pure AWESOMENESS! Especially Mickey at the front desk. Very friendly service and great rate! After a long drive and trouble from delta, Beds N Drinks saved my day and made my day! Best hotel in Miami Beach!
Good dorms. Helpful staff. Kitchen isn't great if you want to cook. No stove/cooker.
Very clean rooms. Seperate bathroom in every sleeping room.
Nice clean hostel with good happy hour specials at the bar. Great patio and organized activities make it easy to meet people.
Every room in the hostel is clean and neat. People are friendly and wiling to help.
Avoid this place. We had endless problems with our reservation, got charged for a night we'd canceled, were treated rudely by staff, our bed was missing a top sheet, etc. Etc. On top of that, our friend left her key-card in her room and the staff refused to open the door for her to get it so they could charge her $20 for a "lost" key.
Great place to stay — Even for couples! Downside -They are super busy all of the time. They could honestly use another person at the front desk. — They ran out of towels. When we stayed the hostel was full. So I just used my beach towel. — If you are a more reserved, private person, I would not recommend you stay here. If you are open to a little uncertainty and adventure then book now! Upside -The location is awesome. It is close to Espanol Way and Lincoln St. Also you can walk from here to Ocean drive. I recommend checking out all three. It is also a short walk to the beach. — My boyfriend and I stayed for 2 nights in the 8 person bunk room. It was wonderful. Everyone was very clean. Obviously people do wake up at different times, so you have to just get over that or sleep with earplugs. — It was all updated and clean. — The staff was super helpful to everyone we met. We forgot a pair of shoes and they helped us find them. — They arrange clubs for you to go to for $35/pp with all you can drink hour. That was a blast. I highly recommend club fifty. — Use uber for the first time and you get it for free. — Breakfast was nice for this American couple. We love sausage, egg, and cheese biscuits. — The price here is fantastic. It saved us so much money staying here! The cheapest dirty hotel in South beach was $145/ night. We stayed here for $120/ 2 nights!
This was a really good and spacious hostel. We had a comfortable stay. The rooms were new, the temperature was also pleasant. What you shouldn't do (especially as a girl), going with the promoter to one of the "clubs" during the week, We went with him on a Thursday and went to a fucked club (with old stalking disgusting guys) which was originally without entrance fee, but we paid 30 bucks for a ride with a party bus which you could have walked in 10 minutes.
This is a very clean convenient and friendly hostel. Right next to all the places you need to get to. Lincoln street which is where all the food is next to it so is a beautiful stretch of the beach. I stayed in Miami international hostel last time and this was much better and newer.
Hidden fees+unfriendly staff!
Great staff, and great hostel!
Waiting for 30 mins for checking. The front desk is soooo impolite.
Good place to stay and cheap! worth it!

RespondI recommended to all my friends! One block from beach and Lincoln Rd, new and clean, free breakfast, free drinks. I stayed in the mixed room, so in my room was two hot girls from Europe :) They made a beer pong at the patio with a free beer, very good preparty. LANNA! Thanks for all your help, I will definitely come back with my buddies this August.
I had fun. I was in town for a wedding this weekend and all I needed was a bed to crash in that didn't cost $300/night and this place fit the bill. Everything was clean and I enjoyed the social atmosphere. My roommates were normal people, and I didn't feel like my stuff was going to be stolen every time I left. Perfect walking distance to the beach and late night restaurants, clubs, and hotel bars. I would definitely recommend this to any low maintenance traveler looking to explore the city, not just relax in a hotel. I experienced 0 pest problems or any other unpleasantness. The beds were actually quite comfortable. If you want your own room and traditional hotel service, stay in a traditional hotel. This is definitely a hostel and I used the hundreds of dollars I saved by staying here to have an awesome time in miami beach.
This was the most disgraceful place I have ever stayed in. First of all, there were 8 people in the room. This number was constant even though people were constantly leaving and coming. My group came and witnessed some food that was on a small table in the room. By the end of our stay, none of the original people were there, yet the food was still there, and it had started molding. The floors were extremely dirty, and one could not walk barefoot without the bottom of your foot turning black. The hostel was supposed to provide a cleaning serviice, but that never happened. Day in and Day out, we saw people come and leave yet no one ever changed the sheets, they merely came in and remade the bed. If you are staying here! BEWARE! Also, there was a great infestation problem. All types of bugs were in the hotel. From roaches, ant, and mosquitos. It was absolutely nasty. The hotel workers are especially rude. One worker made us bribe him so that we could claim the bed we actually booked because the hostel had been overbooked. Worst stay of my life. I will never stay here again nor will I recommend it to others. Several people staying at the time of our stay felt the same way.
HI hostel on Collins was full, so they suggested Beds 'n Drinks. I'm so glad! I had a great stay in the 6-bed women's dorm. Very clean, quiet, and in all ways comfortable — plus light breakfast included (didn't know that in advance). I loved the front patio for meeting other hostelers, brkfst, drinks, and people watching. The location can't be beat, so close to Lincoln Ave, and the beach. (Felt perfectly comfortable walking about alone at night in this neighborhood, btw. ) Quick and easy access to restaurants ($, $$, $$$, depending on your preference), and to the city bus, with routes all over (including airport). The staff was helpful and friendly, and it was great to have lobby staffed 24 hrs. Also appreciated being able to store my luggage safely after checkout so I could enjoy the beach for a few hours before heading for the airport. Although I enjoyed a two for one drink one night, this daily happy hour feature (the "drinks" part of Beds 'n Drinks) unfortunately turns the front patio into 'party hostel' somewhat. That said, the dorm room (facing the back garden) was always peaceful. I will return.
Very nice place! Recomended.
Good price. Nice service. Little breakfast.
Horrible customer service and hidden fees, I always travel and stay in hostels but never seen such policies and attitude.

The whole idea of a hostel can make someone nervous, but this is honestly the best way to travel. Most of the time you can get a night here for 20 to 30 dollars. It’s less then three blocks from the beach, has a bar in the lobby, and super friendly staff. I’ve stayed here any time I’m in Miami and never had a bad time. If you’re into the night life they have awesome packages that get you free drinks, VIP entrances, and transportation to the party. Worth every penny. It’s very clean and safe.
