Facility looked ok for a fishing trip with the guys nothing more. Also, don't plan on speaking with anyone over the phone except the lady at the front desk. And there are no refunds for any weekend reservations. I cancelled AT the hotel IN person 3 weeks in advance and was told that there was a $50 cancel fee, and I had to send an email to get my refund. False. NO REFUNDS, been their policy for "two decades". I was also refused a phone number to contact someone to speak with directly instead of only via email… I was told "that will not happen" Plenty of other better places for less money in that area… just do your homework.

What a Wonderful experience! This place is SPECIAL… I highly recommend staying here. Thank you Paul for the Hospitality. And your employees were wonderful. It is close to everything, Food, entertainment. beautiful room's. Such character to all the surroundings. IF I were to ever get married AGAIN. This is where I would book my wedding. So personal& quaint. And when I return with Friend's again this is where I will be staying.

The place has potential, don't get me wrong but holy cow is it trashy. The lady in the office was super friendly and informative of the area. The cottages, clean enough, but could use some tlc. The hotel itself, how sad. Badly outdated and in need of care. Pool area could be beautiful with its waterfall and deck but has cans, bottles, kids pool toys and chip bags everywhere. I don't think they have a maintenance man as the grounds are a mess. And not just from Irma, it's things a person could clean up daily and make a huge difference in the appearance. We stayed anyway, we only needed a clean bed. But man could this be a grand place to stay if someone put a little effort into it.

My wife and I found this delightful place by the luck of the vacation Gods. We initially wanted only one night and ended up staying for three. After 2 weeks in Key West, this was just what we needed. Relaxing, chill and quiet. My wife started to complain about all the sounds when sitting by the pool, such as three and four radios blasting, one with classical, the other with rock. Sitting by the pool listening to the palm trees blowing in the wind was prefect. No food or drink served so heads up on that front. Great fun bar and restaurant across the street however! Bring your own beer or what not, rooms are clean and cool! great air conditioning. Yes we will be back.

This is a wonderful peaceful memorible place to stay. IF you are looking for a party type of atmosphere, then find another location. No alcohol served, but you can bring your own and walk freely with it on this lovely property. The pool is divine! Yes its cool, but that is what you want in the heat. I was so hot and the cool water was refreshing! Clean pool, enchanting in fact. And to add the Keys charm, a few cats, very very nice sweet cats find this resort home as well. Rooms clean. Friendly staff. REMEMBER that they suffered extreme damage from the hurricane! They are still cleaning up and repairing. It is not run down! I have read some reviews and they are just wrong. Rooms are not dated, they are Floridian charming! Its in the prospective!

This is an awesome resort! Breath taking views right on the ocean. Great staff, wonderful owner, highly recommend!

Pet friendly, including parakeets! Wonderful reception very friendly, helpful, welcoming, & accommodating. Smoke-free buildings. 24 hour pool access, that is super awesome! Located in a pretty area of Islamorada. Pretty, cheery room decor, not sterile & uncomfortable. Window… in… the… bathroom, sunshine & fresh air while you shower… a rarity… love that! Relaxed place, not stuffy, uptight, & stressful, that is also terrific. Gorgeous ocean views right from room window!

This is a nice little resort. I like that the rooms are a bit spread out. The rooms are also small but not too small. It's a great little area to visit.

We had a very awesome wedding at Coconut Cove Resort. The decorations were outstanding, food was excellent and the service was top-notch. You almost feel like you're on a tropical island. Very private. We used the bar for our rehearsal dinner and breakfast the next day. We used the lobby for staging area for hair and makeup.

Stayed here for 1 night during Christmas week, 2017, with the missus. Great location between Key Largo and Marathon. Friendly staff and reasonable prices for rooms. I think they were still cleaning up some minor remaining damage from the last hurricane, but it didn't impact my stay. The room had some very minor fit + finish problems (missing plate on electrical socket) but was exceptionally clean. This is a great example of the type of small "mom and pop" hotels that I grew up with on family vacations to the keys. This isn't some "highfalutin" resort with a circus atmosphere… this is a small, peaceful motel with pretty views of the ocean. I will definitely stay here again in the future.

Post Irma, Coconut Cove has done a good job putting everything back in place. Why 5 stars? Patty, location, atmosphere, fishing on site, clean room, and iguanas on property — in that order. This is not a modern resort, but the rooms are always clean and our reality is that we are in the Keys to go fishing and to do other outdoor activities. We just need a decent place to sleep. Patty is wonderful — always friendly and beyond helpful. We prefer the cottages to the other building. Our room has comfortable beds and we have fresh towels daily. The atmosphere is very relaxed. The waterfall at the swimming pool is pretty and the patio area is a great place to sit when the sun goes down. Please note that this is not an "all inclusive" hotel. If you are looking for a place to have fun in a relaxed atmosphere within walking distance to restaurants, this is for you.

We were here for just over a week with it culminating in our wedding being hosted here. Paul, Patty, and crew are as accommodating as they come. The rooms are mostly older but it's the Keys and I'd be lying if I said we were in our rooms much to begin with. They have done an awesome job cleaning up everything that matters since the hurricane came through. As far as the wedding, they are absolutely as advertised. Everything was executed to perfection. The week flew by and we can't wait until we can go back to visit for a vacation.

Every review listing this resort as 1 star is accurate. I highly recommend anyone considering booking to review all possible information online (trip advisor, etc) regarding the quality of the resort. That way you will either be prepared for the condition (if you have already booked and mailed your check), or you will book somewhere else. Some IMPORTANT notes: — None of my review is tied to anything related to the hurricane. The condition of the rooms and building interior is evidence of years of neglect and abuse. Burned out light bulbs, torn shower curtains, incredibly awful beds, hair in the shower, filthy pool towels… it never ended. There were no drawers or anywhere to store clothing either. And the television was the size of a laptop monitor. The condition of the rooms and my experience was very similar to other reviews pre hurricane. — The resort requires a check be mailed. As a result, either intentional or not, there is no room for negotiation or refund when you arrive and see the condition. — Some guests in our party were required to sign a waiver that no photographs or reviews would be posted, otherwise a room key would not be given. I do not understand how this is enforceable, considering the check for my room had been cashed. Regardless, I did not receive a waiver, but I am definitely not judging the resort on the hurricane aftermath. This practice does, however, raise question to the integrity of the operation.

Here after Irma getting pieces put back together. Beautifully redone here after Hurricane flooding with comfy rooms, awesome pool and tiki bar… only a few steps to the blue Atlantic. Staff is very good, friendly and professional. Had a beer with the owner and met his lovely children. Altogether a very good experience.

I am writing this review to express my extreme dissatisfaction with this establishment. Despite the bad reviews this resort has in terms of cleanliness, I had no option but to book a room here for a friend's wedding. Unfortunately, the wedding was called off with more than 10 months notice and communicating with Patty and Paul has been quite frustrating. Do not expect to get any immediate assistance. Paul answered my first email calling me a different name when I clearly signed my name in my email signature. He then didn't respond to my follow up email after more than 10 days later. Patty on the other hand hung up on me after I was calling to express my frustration with the lack thereof of customer service. This establishment is quick to make you write them a check, but forget about attempting to get a refund despite unfortunate circumstances. The lack of customer service is beyond poor and I would never recommend working with Coconut Cove. Stay down the road where you can put a credit card on file and there is a normal cancellation policy. This place is an absolute scam and should be shut down.

This is such a peaceful relaxing secure resort Keys style. The owners are a wonderful, sweet family with adorable children. Patty, the manager, is just awesome, you will feel like she's been a lifelong friend. They are nestled on Oceanside with great views, and comfortable rooms. We've stayed a number of times, never feeling crowded although all the rooms were booked. I will never go anywhere else!

No bar, boat rental, or hot tub. Boat ramp is sketchy on low tide without 4x4, definitely wouldn't want to launch anything over 20' from it. Stayed in the "new" building and it is not in that great of shape with uneven floors at the stairs and outdated furnishings. Small rooms but large shared balconies.

Absolutely perfect! Beautiful, clean, friendly, amenities all kinds of extras in rooms. Loved every square inch of the place! I would love to live there!

Beautiful resort, very laid back… love the pool with the little waterfall. It's my second visit and I am looking forward to coming again as soon as I can. The owner Paul and Patti which is who you meet in the office most days are always so friendly and helpful. I have all good thoughts of this place… can't wait to come back. Horrible! The pictures are bogus! Spend more money and escape this experience. It was my husband and I's anniversary. No waterfall at the pool, no real lagoons and rooms completely out dated. You get no refunds what so ever if you cancel your room, not even 24 hrs notice or if you are unhappy and want to leave. Paul the owner is very insensitive and rude. We had 3 prostitutes next door to us that kept us up the whole night with all the noise and cars driving up at night. Zero stars!

Spectacular rooms, wonderful views perfect location, slightly elevated price but worth it.

My sister got married at Coconut Cove in December. All the staff were very helpful! It has beautiful views too. We stayed for 2 nights and enjoyed it very much!

Very weird setup. Room was just ok, a double bed and a single bed that was on the ground, I guess that adds up to a queen. The bath room had been redone, so that was nice. There is no bar even though it says there is one. Then the worst part is that I was booked for 3 nights and at sign in she said three nights but the dates on there sheet were only two nights so while I was out for the day, they took all my stuff out. I had my reservation which contradicted what there paper said. She then told me they have problems with the online reservation, but that isn't my problem. She ended up putting me in this room that hadn't been redone since 1970, so I got the hell out of there and asked for my money back. For how much they charge, go and find another place to stay. I guess I should have known better when I was telling locals about the place and no one had heard of it.

I am so happy with how everything turned out at my wedding at Coconut Cove. Magda and Paul make it so easy to plan everything with step-by-step guidelines that walk you through everything you need to think about. I also love how many services they offer in-house like photography, flowers, cake, catering, fireworks, DJ, wedding planning, etc. That it makes the whole process much easier — no need to juggle and co-ordinate between multiple vendors. Coconut Cove does it all! I had an Indian/Hindu wedding with multiple events that required a lot of customizing. Magda held my hand throughout the planning process and was unbelievably flexible with everything. She had no problem accommodating my many special requests, and was so friendly, pleasant, and professional throughout. Overall, the wedding turned out so beautifully — the guests were so impressed with the location and decor. Magda convinced me to add fireworks to the event and I am so glad she did because it added an extra level of magic and a month later, our guests are still talking about it! I also highly recommend Magda's photography — she has a great eye for detail and capturing the candid special little moments. Overall it was such a beautiful experience. With Coconut Cove, you get the cozy feel of working with a small family run business, with all the professionalism and expertise of a big company. Thank you Magda, Paul, and Patty for an unforgettable weekend that we will cherish forever!

Honestly, worst customer service experience I have ever had in my life. The website is very misleading. The rooms are way out-dated, and there is rust on all of the appliances. We also found stains on the sheets/comforter and bugs were crawling around our room. At the time, the front desk attendant was very understanding and tried to do what she could. Unfortunately, we had to go through the owners, Magda, and I have never been treated so poorly in my life. She was not understanding in the least and refused to refund us even though we ended up cancelling and having to book another hotel elsewhere. I would rather sleep in my car than in the room provided to me, especially if it meant never having to talk to Magda again.

Perfect getaway, even better wedding venue (we got married there! ) and pet friendly!

I had my wedding here and loved it. Planning my wedding was incredibly easy, a one stop shop. I would highly recommend that you visit this location if you are planning on having a wedding in the keys. The wedding can be as cookie cutter or as personalized as you are willing to make it. The rooms and hotel itself are sub-par but this also make this hotel way more affordable than anywhere else. There are quite a few other hotels within walking distance from Coconut Cove, which make it great for guests who cant fit into Coconut's 20 rooms. I am so happy that I found Coconut Cove for my wedding.

Nice for a family weekend get away. Wish they had food or bar.

Hotel in nice location, boat dock very small, rooms can use an update, but the worst part is the service. The office manger is a snapping finger bitch, she has no respect towards guest, she is racist towards hispanic people and so is the owner. Hotel does not allow guest to have visitors, and when they have an event such as a wedding no one is allowed to use pool or hotel grounds. For the money I would recommend everyone to stay at a different hotel. The marina and tiki bar is a lie.

Excellent place to stay. They have been very nice to us here excellent room very clean. Would definitely come back again.

The manager kicked me out of the hotel just because I was hispanic. Didnt even give me my money back, then she constantly tell me I cant splash in the pool or use my boat. I had a terrible time, she even gave me attitude and told me I can never go there again.

I will give the Coconut Cove one Star and that’s for Patty who is the only Star there! I was recently in a wedding at the Coconut Cove Resort and Marina and I had the pleasure of working with Magda who is the Award Winning Event Coordinator (I would love to see these awards! ). She was a nightmare! I had a zit on my face which I named after her. Once in a blue moon she would return my phone calls to confirm items on the wedding proposal, when I did speak with her she would constantly get me confused with 2 other matron of honors who were having weddings there as well, she hardly ever returned my emails which if she did respond to my email she never answered all the questions only certain ones, she told the mother of the bride that I must be emailing the incorrect email address because she never received any of my emails yet she did reply to some of them (how does that work? ). We scheduled a day to sample the food the Bride and Groom picked for the wedding night one evening and attended someone else’s wedding and sat in the back which was so weird and if we wanted a private tasting it was $300.00 because the chef does not do private tastings, she completely forgot we were coming (we live almost 4 hours away), we didn’t even try the food that wedding couple picked, and let me throw in there the food was terrible! She continued to give me an anxiety attack once a week and now it’s finally rehearsal day!

Nice place to get away. My girlfriend and I had a great time staying there and will definitely be returning. Reasonable prices for what you get. Great Keys venue for a wedding.

It was amazing! so much fun.

Room was not not clean, could not walk around barefoot. This IS NOT A RESORT there is NO bar, NO kitchen and completely empty. It has potential to be as nice as the pictures but it has not been kept up. Balconies are all connected anyone on the floor can access the sliding glass door which barely locked, we were afraid to leave our luggage in the room while we travelled that day. Needs a lot of work. Run.

Love this place. Second time visiting. Very relaxing. My 4yr old son is in love with the pool. Owners are friendly.

Had serious issues with harbor lights (DO NOT GO THERE! SCAM ARTISTS) front desk was very sympathetic and understanding. Helped us out. Property was very nice. Stayed in a king kitchenette. It's not a grand resort but very quaint nice place.

When making the reservation with the owner we discussed the rules of traveling with dogs. I agreed and understood all rules which included keeping dogs on leashes at all times and picking up after them. When we were there, the owner's dog which lives on the premises "got loose" numerous times and even came towards me and my dogs. It was a very unnerving experience not knowing this dogs temperament and trying to get my dogs into my cottage without incident. I was on constant guard and made the moments when I was walking my dogs very uncomfortable not knowing if theirs would get loose again. He growled at their own kids which made me feel even more uncomfortable. There was also dog excrement all over the property even though their rule is to clean up after your dog or you could be "charged". There were small flies in the bathroom constantly which looked to me like sewer flies. We kept putting paper in the bathroom sink when we weren't using it and that seemed to help. Near the end of my stay the landscaping crew was cutting down branches of the trees around the property. That night and the next morning I found two separate roaches in my cottage. I am assuming they were disturbed by the landscaping and wouldn't have been there otherwise.

You feel like you're staying in a postcard! Perfect FL Keys style resort! Great owners and staff and an AMAZING pool! Clean and well kept grounds! My favorite place to stay in the keys.

We were one day and although rained passed it much delicious, the atmosphere is cozy, it is a place of total rest. The care was excellent.
