Perfect room, super friendly staff, and location is awesome.

Good food in a great location.

Office told us to make sure we didn't leave anything in our car, lots of homeless and also was told people have had their cars broken into. It's very clean, but very dirty area.

Loved our stay! Staff was extremely hospitable! Room was clean — view was amazing! Walking distance to the boardwalk — and so much more! We will definitely be back!

Great location, quaint small Inn with nice staff, very clean, beach/ ocean view rooms on second floor, bathroom window looks out towards hills, all rooms step out to patio or veranda, pet friendly, nice breakfast, safe, very short walk to beach. Would stay again.

Rooms are fine, but are way to expensive. Management rude, and dishonest. Go somewhere else. Motel 6 was the best hotel that I stayed at in santa Cruz.

Had a great one-night stay here. It's just off the beach so the view is incredible. The room was clean and fresh and the bed was very comfortable.

We wanted to stay near the Boardwalk but didn't want to pay an arm and a leg. We found the Seaway Inn, right across the street from Dream Inn. We were so happy with not only our accommodations but we also had a great view of Beach St. And the beach. Stephanie was very nice, friendly and so accomodating that she offered us her parking spot underneath the sign, where they're larger than the rest of the lot, since we had a large truck. Our room was clean, fairly modern and nice; and it was the end unit on the second floor — — the best room situated for the view. We will most definitely be back and request room 230.

After spending half the day looking around for a reasonably priced hotel we stumbled upon the seaway in. We could not have been happier with our stay, Alexandra sold us on the place and provided excellent costumer service our entire stay. Highly recommend, we plan to stay again!

Loved our Stay! Rooms were nice, super clean and the staff was helpful! Was was reasonable, maybe the high end but worth it! Would definitely recommend it and will stay there any time I am in town!

The room was a little on the small side but it was good, the beds were a little uncomfortable but its an upgrade from the couch, the hotel was close to the Santa Cruz boardwalk (walking distance), the breakfast was good but there wasn't anything like eggs, sausege, potatoes but they had muffins, waffles, hard boiled eggs (etc)

Great service and people. I had lost my keys and the staff was super helpful.

The place was really nice the maids do a great job the customer service is really good and the continental breakfast was awesome this morning.

Interesting motel, Fifties style. All very clean and careful. The bed is very large and comfortable. Something expensive on the prices and and the sea views are very biased.

Within walking distance of the boardwalk. The staff was friendly and there was a simple breakfast in the morning. Some of the rooms have ocean views… well a little corner of the ocean. Mini fridge and microwave in room as well as a recycling bin.

I love to hear everything is clean. The rooms are amazing. I had no problem checking in and checking out.

We have been staying here for many years now, we are budget minded but try not to sacrifice comfort. the pro's. this little place is very quiet, clean, the room's are comfortable with friendly staff and good continental breakfast with the waffle maker's and lots of other goodie's to eat. It's a short walk to the boardwalk and the west cliff lighthouse and steamer's lane erea. the con's. the water pressure in the showers is verry low. There is limited parking near the rooms and the parking lot is small and fills up in the evening quick, but there is secure overflow parking right next to the motel if the lot is full. we have tried other place's several years back, but, bang for the buck, we have not found any motel within a short distance of the "boardwalk/lighthouse area" that even come's close. GREAT PLACE… we will be back.

Nice clean room. Good size. Breakfast is awesome. Location is a very short walk to Santa Cruz Boardwalk (rides and good restaurants). Beds are super comfortable. Amazing value!

Loved the "family room" setup so that we could put our toddler to bed in another room and us in another. The location was pretty good. Didn't love that I had to park in overflow parking and cross the street to get that parking validated before I could leave. My husband complained that the walls were so thin he could hear what all our neighbors were going on about in the middle of the night. He didn't sleep well. The continental breakfast was one of the most varied I have experienced. Employees were super nice and helpful, check in and check out was very fast.

Great location and price. Not a fan of doors with keys instead of cards because who knows how often they are changed out but no issues thus far.

Small hotel, tiny showers, but close to everything. The room was great for our group and the blackout curtains made it easy for the kids to fall asleep after a long day at the boardwalk. We loved the hotel and would definitely stay again.

Clean and very nice suite, though the two-room configuration was a little interesting, but since we were using it as a place to sleep, it's nothing to complain about. Pet-friendly and includes a breakfast (with waffles! ). Would stay there again for sure!

The Wi-Fi worked great, the location is great and the breakfast area was good and it wasn't too crowded.

CONS: Rooms are nice, but old fashioned. Bathtoom doesn't have any bathtub, Comforter is so uncomfortable, Small tv, Parking problem, PROS: Cheap rate, close to the beach, friendly associates. Great value!

My husband and I stayed here for 4 days on our honeymoon in September and absolutely LOVED everything about it. The room, the service, the scenery, the continential breakfast, the people that worked there. We didnt want to go back to Reno, we just love it here. We will be back. And also they are pet friendly. With our dog we only paid 120.00 per night. :).

Usually I let things slide but. It's not a hotel but a motel. Car noise all night, the walls must be made from balsa wood. Dumpster out the front door derelicts use to dump their beer bottles. Linoleum floor? I payed 160, would have been upset if I payed 50.

Just got back from a 4 night stay at the Seaway Inn. It had all the amenities we needed, minus a blow dryer. Our room had enough space for all five of us. It had two queen beds, and a sofa sleeper. The view from our top story floor was awesome! The continental breakfast was more than ample. We loved the waffle maker! The employees were always friendly and made our stay even more enjoyable. The hotel is near Natural Bridges Beach were we saw tidepools, and the beautiful Natural Bridge rock formation. Not to mention the 10 minute scenic drive along the ocean to Natural Bridges. It's a quick walk to the Boardwalk and Beach! It seems very family friendly! And the renovations make it look nice and clean.

I give this hotel a no star! We paid over $600 for a room that slept 6 it said. The couch for the 3rd bed was very uncomfortable to sit or sleep on. The rooms were cramped and certainly did not have the room for 6 people to walk around or get dressed in. The bathroom was nice but no counter space for makeups etc. The sheets did not fit the beds and kept coming undone. The carpets were very dirty and spotted. The continental breakfast that went from 8:00 am to 11:00 am was almost gone at 9:00 and they did not replenish it. But most insulting was the advertisement of ocean views and balconies! While they did exist, my sister was told that our room would have ocean views! We had a view of a garbage can, a wall and the icemaker. Our shared patio/balcony was on the parking lot with no view! As we were there for my son's wedding we made reservations in Jan for a July wedding and should have had priority of room. The walks to the boardwalk was a killer of a hill and not recommended for disabled or elderly as we had both. Oh and our room had no hairdryer. Thankfully we took one.
