Decent motel near the wharf in Santa Cruz. Rooms are large and clean, the showers were spacious, although the pressure was a little low. We had a second floor room and you could hear every move the people upstairs made, hence I knocked a star off. Breakfast was included and was not bad. Toast and granola available as well as waffles. I thought it was expensive for what you got, but the location was very good, hence the price!

They had a big shower and two shower heads so that was great. There wasn't a wide selection on the TVs but it was big so I was okay. The bathroom was very large that was nice. The bed was nice and firm. They had two hot tubs and a pool which was nice overall I would say my experience was positive it was a little more expensive than what we usually pay for a hotel in Santa Cruz but it was very close to the beach.

We enjoyed our stay. The service was very nice and the people at the office were amazing. The only complaint was the doors did not have latches to stop the doors from opening when the lock didn't work so our 1 and a half year old was able to open the door outside. We were on the second floor. If you have young children, be safe and aware.

Stayed here for two nights and I must say our experience was a great one! We stayed in a nice room with a comfortable king size, clean bed, huge bathroom with a big shower! Very conveniently located with only about a five minute walk to the beach. I personally did not see any bed bugs like some previous reviewers mentioned. I get bit by EVERYTHING so if there were bed bugs in our room, they would most certainly have found me and nibbled on me. Staff was super friendly and welcoming. Will definitely stay here again!

Marie, Bonnie and I love this place. Great weekend getaway for us. We expecially like the in-room jet tub. Continental breakfast is pretty good. Easy drive/walk to beach, boardwalk, pier, and Pacific Garden Mall. Three theaters nearby. Many dining choices. Busy traffic and rooms are still quiet. Attentive staff. Not upscale fancy but clean. Parking is limited. Pet friendly.

We were happy with our room. Easy walking distance to the beach and Boardwalk. It was clean, everything worked and service was prompt. Breakfast included pasties, cereal, fruit, yogurt and you can make your own waffles. Tight parking spaces, but will come again.

Great place. Staff super-friendly and helpful. Room was nice, and clean. Good continental breakfast. Parking is somewhat tight but thankfully we were able to find spots. Will definitely come back next time in Santa Cruz!

I totally agree with others, there is serious bed bugs here. I would consider this place super unsanitary, and it needs to be addressed. Also the customer service. l: HONEY!

Hello good day! My stay at this place was two nights, the bathroom smells bad, at breakfast, we met with an employee with very bad face, she was preparing his breakfast, I created the time to have breakfast is the guest and the employee at the last she even gave us the greeting from the truth with these employees… give very bad aspects.

Customer service was great, right next to the wharf. Was really clean and the beds were amazing… the only issue that we saw was that there wasn't enough parking for all the guests.

We decided last minute to check out the boardwalk and so looked for hotel vacancies last minute. This hotel was the only one we could find for the weekend. Everything was great until the room next to us checked in about midnight and the walls are so thin that we could hear their TV on and the microwave door slamming shut as they cooked their late nite meal. We could clearly here every word they were saying and they had kids with them that were very loud. I guess I cant expect much for a 2 star hotel.

Bed bugs. I was debating writing a review or not about this situation but I think it needs to be addressed and you should be warned. I stayed at the ocean pacific lodge 2 weeks ago it was a nice stay but the day after I had red itchy bed bug bites all over my face and stomach. I called the hotel and they checked my room, they said they did find bed bugs in my room 111 and refunded me for my one night stay. The staff was really nice and apologetic. I find it hard to believe that the bed bugs were only in my room and later researched if there were any past bed bug complaints. I found that this goes all the way back to 2008 this place is infested and needs to be taken care of I would not stay here. I still have itchy bumps from the bugs that have not healed yet. Very upsetting.

Nice room convenient to beach, wharf, and boardwalk. The only thing was no water pressure. But will definately be back.

Very, very nice! Service was outstanding. Room was nice and clean and welcoming with a lot of extras like an Iron and Board, a blowdryer, Coffee/Tea Maker and the beds were so comfortable that my friend I was with asked where they purchased them so she coukd get one, even the pillows and covers were extra special. In the Morning they had a Complimentary Brunch ready for us with just about anything you might want and more. Very Clean, Very Quiet and the Price was Right.

Room was very spacious and the employees were friendly and helpful. Everything was clean. Close to downtown and the beach. Would reccomend to others.

Clean room and friendly staff. Property was clean and well maintained. I used to stay here 18 years ago for work and I must say the remodel is a wonderful upgrade. I will be staying here again.

Nice room, very spacious. A little loud with the train owe by, but thankfully only went by once. Clean, dog friendly, but avoid the breakfast.

This place is located within walking distance to the Boardwalk and downtown. The rooms were okay, nothing to complain about for the location and cost. (They appear to be remodeling the facilities. ) They offer free breakfast. There is a Keurig in the room. There is a soccer field right across our room, so we were able to listen to the sounds of children laughing throughout the day ☺️ The girls in the front office were nice and accommodating and gave us room choices. The only complaint is that the walls are thin. I would say this is a perfect hotel for what you pay. Would definitely come back!

Bedsheets had blood stains, floor also had large stains, bathroom door was too dirty to touch. At breakfast, they had no staff to refill anything, and very few options. At least they could put some effort.

I have gone to ocean pacific lodge for twenty years now its location is so convenient to everything the wharf, boardwalk old town ect. The employees are all so very nice friendly people. The place is just very comfortable. I highly recommend for this to be the place to stay while visiting Santa Cruz.

A lovely place to stay and only minutes walk from the Santa Cruz Pier. The staff here are incredibly friendly and helpful and the rooms are delightfully decorated. Though a little bit noisy I would suggest if you stay on the ground floor that you might want to use earplugs if you're a light sleeper, although our stay was still very pleasant and enjoyable. There is plenty of parking right outside and it's free, they also have free Wi-Fi and there is an outdoor pool with two separate hot tubs. Breakfast is included in your room rate and can be had in a room close to the pool from 7 a. M. To 10 a. M. Breakfast options include croissants, toast, make your own waffles, cereal, fruit and yoghurt as well as hot coffee, tea and orange juice. Check in is at 3 p. M. And Checkout is 11 a. M.

Location was very good, walking distance to both the beach and downtown. The staff was very friendly. The room was clean and met our basic needs. The air conditioning was noisy but they provide ear plugs.

Great place to stay with comfortable beds, quite rooms, quality little breakfast, clean rooms and a friendly staff. The boyfriend and I always stay here when we are in Santa Cruz, super close to the boardwalk. Only a 3 min walk.

We stayed in one of the king hot tub rooms on the 3rd floor. The room was amazing and the hot tub just what my sore muscles needed. We have a service animal, and they were super cool about that. I just had to sign a pet agreement, which is totally understandable, and of course they waived the $30/night pet fee. (Although this hotel is pet friendly, they only allow pets on the 1st floor. ) The staff is super accommodating, and the hotel is quiet. It is very close to the beach, wharf, restaurants, and the surfing museum. They also have beach cruisers you can rent in the lobby for just $5/hr or $20 I for the while day. Overall we had a wonderful stay and I definitely recommend this hotel.

It's about a 10 to 15 min walk to the the boardwalk. Clean rooms. The pool is nice as well when you don't want to get all Sandy. Overall this was a great choice.

We love this place. This is our fifth summer in a row that we have stayed at Ocean Pacific. So clean, contemporary decorating and great pool and hot tubs. The pool is in an excellent location for afternoon sun where kids can swim into the evening. Location is fantastic to Boardwalk and beach. A real fine.

We have been here several times. It is one of our favorite places to stay. Our kids love the pool and the Continental breakfast. It's fairly quiet and clean. The staff is very nice. Definitely will continue to stay here.

Everything was pleasant with the exception of two things. The lights coming in from the pool at night were way to bright. The sheets were pretty stiff and the pillow cases smelled liked chlorine. Other than that it's a great hotel. Close to the beach. Nice staff. I will stay there again.

The rooms are nice. Look like they have been redone somewhat recently. Parking is pretty bad though.

The room was very clean, the staff was friendly, they had a separate breakfast room as well which was one of the largest I have seen in my travels. The property also has 2 hot tubs that actually do get very warm which is a plus as I am from AZ. It's approximately 2 block's from the pier and even better it was pet friendly so we could have our beloved dog with us! I highly recommend this place.

Service was fine, location was great but the beds simply were horrible… that's a big thing for me but if you can overlook that I would suggest staying here. The breakfast buffet had a variety of items to try and the coffee wasn't the cheap stuff.

Nice rooms, great location for walking to boardwalk and downtown. Works out great for a one night stay in the area.

No frills hotel. Very nice staff. Bed was a little too soft for my liking. Things were mostly clean. Breakfast choices uninspiring.

It was a nice, clean and hospitable hotel crew not to mentioned the free breakfast that is highly recommended to any one who's looking for a good experience with your family. We like the bathroom, it has twin showers (front and at the back) with a sliding door, big enough for two adult people. A few minutes walk from t he war, free HBO cable and Wi-Fi not to mention the guest laundry and the swimming pool with jacuzzi,

We were here for two nights, rooms are clean and tidy. Breakfast is good. Wi-Fi could be better.

I've stayed here twice, once for the clam chowder fest and another with my hubby just a week or so ago. Both times have been superbly satisfactory and I will only come back to this hotel. The bottom floor has hard wood floors in the rooms which is better for clenliness and gives a more modern feel, the top has carpet which gives it a warmer welcoming feeling. I prefer the top floor. All rooms very clean and I felt safe my entire stay. Also my favorite, WAFFLES for breakfast! The front desk people are very nice and friendly, they let me keep a pen also, hehe. I will continue to recommend this place to everyone who comes to Santa Cruz.

It is very nice, the location is ideally set between downtown and the board walk. The spa is awesome. The free breakfast is delicious.

Brilliant hotel for the money. Nice pool area and I could watch EPL football in my room.

The staff were very friendly and the rooms comfortable. The board walk is only a 10 minute walk away. The rooms were reasonably priced.

Pretty standart Motel near the beach. Has been a while since I saw a old fashioned non-flat TV. Room was clean but came to age. Would stay here again.

Very nice private pool with 2 hot tubs, the kids loved it! Delicious waffles with other breakfast foods. Good service. Small room but perfect for our family. I would definitely come back.

Clean, breakfast is wonderful, and they are very accommodating. This is within walking distance to everything you need and overall it was a wonderful experience and great price! We will definitely stay here again.

Great place! Fabulous bathrooms double glass rainfall shower heads. Fresh daily breakfast included. Dont waste money parking just walk to the beach and boardwalk. Front desk and housekeeking great staff. My new go to place for sure.

Andrew "at the front desk" as he said his last name was, was very informal and cocky. I won't eve give this place a shot now because some punk kid with a side job at a hotel can't be polite or helpful when asking one simple question. Too bad, looked nice.

Nice motel that is about five minutes from the beach at Santa Cruz. The rooms are average and comfortable. The pool is five foot with hot tubs and is pretty private. If you have the budget upgrade to a room with jacuzzi.

Loved the Jacuzzi room. Was so relaxing in huge tub and hot steamy shower after. Room was huge and such a great value. Slept great. Right near beach.
