The staff was friendly, when you walk in it has a light fragrance that smells good, the rooms are roomie and clean. They have a nice continental breakfast.

Great place. Awesome staff. I enjoyed the free breakfast to start my day.

The hotel was nice enough, friendly greeting, clean and pleasant. The rooms were pleasant and had a lot of space. Pool and hot tub were nice, but hot tub was exceptionally hot. Normally, I would be fine with a hotel like this… BUT… at the rate I paid, about $450/night, I expect a whole lot more. The breakfast buffet is included, but it is like something you would find at a super discount motel — disappointing. The coffee was not good — — to be honest, if they had good coffee, it would've made a huge difference. The beds gave me a back ache every night, and I've never had that experience at a high end hotel, and I don't tend to get back aches at all. Maybe I paid full price when most others don't, but I used rewards to pay for half of the cost, and I still didn't think it was worth $500 for the two nights (and I used all my rewards! ) In general, it was ok, but I definitely overpaid for this experience.

Nice quiet area. As always, Marriott hotel is very nice and always looking new. Comfortable! Everything about our visit was perfect.

Clean and friendly staff. Free breakfast with good alternative choices to the usual eggs and cereal. They offer vegetarian choices.

Friendly service, nice and clean. Decent hot breakfast, nothing fancy, but decent eggs and waffles. No shuttle to any local attractions. The hotel is quiet and close to the ocean.

Hidden jewel in Santa Cruz. It was inviting the moment you enter. Clean, comfortable and friendly staff. And just a short drive to the lighthouse park.

Comfortable room, courteous and accommodating staff when extra pillows and towels were requested. Great breakfast selections though I would prefer larger regular size rather than mini size wafflers. Liked having a microwave & mini fridge in the room. Wi-Fi worked well. Relaxed 2 night stay!

Very nice hotel. The staff were professional and friendly. The rooms were very clean and well stocked. We loved that there was a small refrigerator, microwave and coffee station in the room. The hotel's free breakfast offered a large selection of both hot and cold breakfast basics which were yummy. The only things we wished were better was the free Wi Fi which had bouts of unreliability and being able to better regulate the temperature in the room. Aside from those two things, our time there was very nice.

Loved the location near the beach but not too close to the boardwalk. Easy to get to restaurants also. Very nice breakfast choices. Clean rooms and friendly staff. Highly recommended!

Very nice Hotel, located just a couple of blocks from the beach. The rooms are spacious, super clean and modern. The staff is very nice and provided me with great customer service. The hotel provides free breakfast for all guests, and the options are plentiful.

Nice rooms at fairly reasonable prices. Convenient location in Santa Cruz. I would recommend them.

This hotel is so clean and nice. For the Santa Clara area it's probably one of the better hotels that are still within a reasonable price range. These photos are of a upgraded room that is a king suite.

The check-in process was seamless. The room is super clean. The complimentary breakfast was great as well.

Staff were amazing! They were helpful with finding restaurants nearby, nearby attractions, and more. They went above and beyond. Nathan is so great!

This is a modern hotel located at the north end of Santa Cruz. It's quiet here and the breakfast is good. We had a third floor room facing the ocean and could almost see the sunset, but for the pine tree just outside our deck. The rooms on the NW side of the hotel are not rectangular, due to the external curve of the hotel. This made entering our room with all of my bicycle racing gear tricky, but we managed to make everything fit. We got a good rate relative to other Santa Cruz hotels and I would stay here again.

Super clean and new! Carpet was soft and squishy. Bathroom was the cleanest bathroom I've ever seen in a hotel. Hot tub smelled and looked clean with clear water. Friendly staff. Location is outside of downtown. Plan to drive somewhere for dinner. There isn't much nearby walking distance. Would stay there again.

Room was clean, service was great and more importantly. Quiet. They gave the best breakfast spread I've ever experienced. If I'm going to Santa Cruz this is where I'm staying.

Staff is very nice and attentive. Rooms are spacious. Plenty of parking spaces. The area around the hotel don't allow for good views out the window but I don't see that as an issue. Pool and hot tub outside is small but if you're here alone it shouldn't be much of a problem. The main road near the hotel have plenty of places to eat. Beach is about 13 min drive away.

Our room was recently renovated and very nice! Very clean and the bed was comfy. Misty and the rest of the staff were super welcoming and helpful. Good location. Breakfast was ok, typical of most free American hotel breakfasts. My only criticism is that the A/C was a little inconsistent and slow to catch up to the thermostat on the wall.

Great stay. Customer service is excellent and very welcoming. Only complaint is slower internet (while on business trip) but from other coworkers experiences that doesn't seem to be an issue for them.

Nice, clean big rooms with comfortable beds. Bathroom is very clean. Plenty of sockets so everyone can plug in. Breakfast has a good selection of hot foods. Plenty of parking. Staff are friendly. Nice to have fridge and microwave in the room. Location isn't ideal as it's next to a RV storage lot and not close to downtown.

Clean environment, quiet atmosphere, and excellent amenities. The breakfast buffet was amazing and had a lot of options! The outdoor fire pit on the patio was also very enjoyable. I would definitely return here again and again when I visit Santa Cruz!

It's a nice new hotel which means the beds are pretty good and the facilities are clean and functional. If you're lucky, like we were, the ocean view is lovely, while the view of the RV storage lot on the other side is not. They do need to make sure that plenty of towels are available by the pool to help reduce the wet feet in the foyer and elevators. Otherwise, a nice stay.

Nice interiors but was lacking a decent couch and not of choices for TV.

We are staying 2 nights. The hotel is brand new, the suite we book is very modern and clean. The staff is very nice and professional. The war dept. Forgot her toothbrush and shower cap and a quick call to the front desk resolved the emergency. We both are enjoying our stay. Would highly recommend.

Less than one year old. Approximately 2 miles (10 minutes by car to Santa Cruz boardwalk area. Stayed in two queen bed room. Beds are super comfy. Complimentary coffee and tea inside room. View of entire parking lot and some residential homes on the hill. Very peaceful. Staff was very attentive and nice when checking into hotel. Amenities were from Paul Mitchell; however the amenities given were enough for one person to take two showers only. Room was very modern with nice simple artwork. Room was right next to elevator so it was very nice. Only about 400 rooms, under 500 and the highest floor was 4. Free Wi-Fi, parking, and breakfast. Microwave was located conveniently in room for use. Breakfast was simple and delicious. Pork sausage, veggie sausage, cheese omelet, scramble eggs, orange juice, cranberry cocktail juice, little diy waffle maker, milk, chobani yogurt, quackers oatmeal. Sliced almonds, raisin, chopped pecans, bagels, sliced wheat bread, hard boiled egg, coffee, tea, mixed fruit, cereal, etc… No doubt, definitely planning to stay again.

My car was vandalized in their parking lot! A few young men were hanging around by the driveway when I drove into the parking lot, not far from the front entrance of the lobby. They were smoking and they looked rather suspicious so I looked at them more closely. The next morning my back window was shattered, singled out in a line of cars. Why mine? I think it was one of the group of young men I saw, maybe they didn't like me looking at them. Anyway, I called the office and they have no security cameras in the parking lot. The front of the lot has a fence and the side away from the front entrance, but the side of the entrance driveway is open. Don't leave valuables in your car apparently. Poor security in the lot with not much security personnel or cameras.

The suite was clean and spacious. We had a bit of an ocean view from the third floor and a small patio. Rate included a basic but good breakfast. Location is a short walk from Natural Bridges park and beach. Service was friendly and efficient.

As of May 2016 the hotel is only about a month old. So everything is new. They are still working through some issues but the staff was great in addressing anything that came up. The hotel is tucked away a little bit, which is good in the sense that if you are looking for a location that is not swarming with people this is the place. It is located in a commercial/business park area, so there are not restaurants nearby. There are plenty on the way in. UCSC is right up the street so is Natural Bridges Beach.

Went there for a job interview, what I saw of the building was the lobby and it was very nice and welcoming.
