The lavender Inn is it truly a very special place in Santa Barbara. The staff, mostly Aiden, took care of our every need and give a special consideration on our anniversary trip. Our refrigerator was well stocked with food and everything was clean. The best part was that even after checking out we were free to use the facilities and also the sister facility across the way, Brisas Del Mar. We ended up borrowing their beach cruisers and enjoyed them through the evening even after checkout. We also enjoyed the refreshments served throughout the day, free delicious Coffee & Tea, wine and cheese and crackers, and the breakfast, although not fancy, hit the spot. The rooms could use some remodeling, especially the old carpet, but the faucets and shower head were great and the water pressure perfect. They also upgraded the TVs and we enjoyed that. Be sure to ask for the corner Suite as it has a back door that leads to a semi-private patio where you can relax in privacy. Also the property across the street Brisas Del Mar has a jacuzzi and fitness room which you are free to use.

This is a quant setup with a bottle of champagne on arrival etc however we had a very poor experience with bed bugs where the bites are still lingering with us close to 2 weeks later. Not to mention the shrunk clothes from hot wash and dry's to kill the pests. The Inn was rather unaccommodating and during our rushed checkout to get away we weren't even afforded an apology.

I can not recommend this place enough! It has a nice quite vibe to it with a touch of elegance and a service quality only matched by its far more higher starred hotels we stayed in. The welcome was exceptional and our room was ready. It is so immaculately clean and tidy. They also did a very nice touch by leaving a great champagne for us as it was our anniversary. They have free bikes, a clean pool, cheese and biscuit and wine around 4 as well. Brilliant place and it is not breaking your bank.

The hotel is great. The shower was simply fantastic. I did think it was too expensive, and I guess I expect more for over $300/night, but I can’t find anything to specifically complain about. It’s an average motel with wall-unit A/C, but with above average fixtures and furniture and above average staff and reception/breakfast food and drink. Location is ok, bed is fantastic, and I can’t say enough that the shower was great; I wish I’d have known it sooner and taken an evening/post-travel shower as well.

Great place to stay, walkable from the beach and pier, also the main street. We were upgraded on arrival, room was a good size and we didn't notice any noise from the road. Good simple breakfast options with the added bonus of cheese and wine for guests in the afternoon, followed by milk and cookies in the evening. Great DVD selection also!

This place is beautiful, clean and very personable. I came here as a ‘refugee’ fleeing the appalling conditions at the Hyatt Centric Santa Barbara, a couple of miles away. Melissa, the front desk person at the time, was most understanding, kind and accommodating. Knowing what I had been through the previous day at the Hyatt, she allowed me to tour the available vacancies until I chose the one I thought ideal for our practical and aesthetic needs. Every one working here is nice and very responsive, and the hotel couldn’t be better located, straddling downtown and the coastline, with its marinas and beaches. As part of the very competitive (and reasonable) nightly room rate, you get free on the lot parking, free (and good quality) continental breakfast in the quaint lobby that doubles as a sort of community parlor, with each gathering. They also serve complimentary wine, grapes and cheeses from 4:30 to 6:30 p. M. And milk and cookies from 6:30 to 8:30 p. M. I almost forgot! A chilled bottle of bubbly awaits for you in your room in the very ample mini fridge. While not the most fancy label by any stretch of the imagination, this is a most appreciated and thoughtful touch! Don’t think twice about booking this place! It’s a winner if you have the appreciation for a jewel of a boutique hotel with personality, a dedicated staff and a most convenient and accessible location.

Beautiful hotel in Santa Barbara, it is simple but has small details that make it very good. Very comfortable beds, very good quality of linen and towels, very clean, new and nice bathroom. In addition, cookies free x afternoon, free coffee at reception, continental breakfast included and cold cava bottle, free of charge, in your room fridge, etc. To repeat!

Room was clean and spacious. I enjoyed the complimentary wine and cheese til 6pm and milk and cookies. Free bike rentals made it easy and fun to reach all the tourist stops. Pool was good… Nice that it was deeper than usual hotel pools.

We loved our stay here so relaxing with lots of included perks! It was our first time flying with our new baby, to LA, and I was looking for somewhere to get away from the hustle of LA for a few days and found this place on an online search. It looked nice and our biggest priority was somewhere baby-friendly which it was and had positive TripAdvisor and Google reviews so I booked it. Free parking on-site and walkable to State St. The beach and Pier. They include free breakfast and wine reception in addition to champagne in your room which I thought were all very nice added touches, especially when you have a baby or just wanna chill in the gardens or by the pool. We did venture out though since it’s walkable to the main sites. I strapped baby on the carrier and was able to walk to The Brewhouse to pick up food otherwise I could order from some other good restaurants and the hubs withdrew pick up. Carol and Melissa on staff were very helpful and friendly as are the housekeeper and maintenance staff. Unlike the arrogant doofus at the the Brisa Del Mar across the road, their sister hotel (part of SB Hotels). I went to check on the bike rentals they offer and he sounded pretentious while speaking to some on the phone while I was waiting to ask him about the bikes and then he was rude to me for no reason! haha … we found it funny and he was another character I can use in my improv comedy!

Beautiful rooms. Price of stay includes continental breakfast, wine and cheese happy hour, cookies and milk and night, parking, bicycle rental, coffee and tea, and a bottle of champagne. You even have access to these things for the day that you check out! it is a 10 minute walk to state street or the beach. Perfect location with amazing hospitality. Decinitely recommend!

My best friend came down from New York to spend my 60th birthday with me. She booked us a room at the "Lavender Inn". We absolutely loved our stay there! Our room (#16) was perfect! Quiet, clean, etc. The bed was so comfortable! The room was very clean, and smelled so fresh! We rode the bikes, went to happy hour, and had cookies and milk in the evening. All complements on the house! Not to mention, the bottle of champagne that awaited us in our room! My friend does not drink alcohol so they gladly accommodated her with a bottle of Sparking cidar. Both were full size bottles by the way. The continental breakfast also on the house was fully satisfying, as I love yogurt, fruit, and granola! I can't say enough good about the "Lavender Inn" and I look forward to future stays here! I also have to add that the price we paid was very reasonable.

Terrible hotel, receptionist shouting at us when informing the room was not good. Said you can take it or leave. Very humid with fungus all over the place. Stinky small room, for $ 200 dollar a night a real scam! Cockroach in the shower, should I say more? Think twice!

Great Hotel just blocks from Cabrillo Bl where you can easily walk to Stearns Wharf or the Harbor to Brophy Bros. Excellent customer svc. Clean rooms, complimentary btl of Champagne, free btls of water each day, complimentary late afternoon wine & cheese, complimentary evening cookies & milk. Free am brkfst, nice lil pool area, air conditioned rooms, free bikes to ride on bike paths or around downtown. Very quiet rooms with no loud unruly party animals. Needless to say our stay there was wonderful as this Hotel Group does a great job in offering explicit hotel service in the Beautiful City of Santa Barbara!

We had a thoroughly enjoyable experience at the Lavender Inn. We arrived in town looking for a place to stay on a rainy evening. We were just in time to enjoy their wine and cheese reception (very nice! ). And then we were delightfully surprised to discover a bottle of champagne and two bottles of water in our room, as well. A nice treat. The room was well-appointed and very neat and clean. Comfortable, and everything we needed. Would definitely come back!

Cozy little place!

Loved it was the nicest place that I have been to, they give you a bottle of champagne, wine cheese bottle and crackers daily from 4:30-6:30 and cookies and milk daily from 6:30-8:30! That have a lavender sachet in your bed and a small refrigerator in your room with a dvr and free movies also Showtime, HBO, starz, cinemax all of them included…, a hot tub and a pool… Bikes included to use… and location is real close to the beach.

Lovely place to stay, near the harbour and easy walk to Funk Town. Loved the breakfasts, the wine and cheese and the cookies and milk. Not forgetting the bottle of bubbly in the fridge. Friendly staff who were happy to pass on recommendations and also directions.

A great 3 star motel. Has a pool, a jacuzzi, free breakfast, complementary bike rental and a complementary bottle of sparkling wine waiting for you in the fridge. The rooms are quite spacious. The staff is extremely courteous and go out of their way to make you as comfortable as possible. Glad I picked this place to stay at.

We visited lavender Inn by the sea on April and can honestly say out of the hotels on our road trip this was one of the best. The staff were helpful and friendly and we loved the little added extras like the wine and cheese and evening cookies and milk. When talking to friends about our amazing road trip we always say how much we loved this place!

Intimate hotel in a great location. If I'm ever in Santa Barbara again, this is where I'll stay.

Looks ok from the outside, but very over priced.

The rooms were a bit crowded, The recliners were very comfortable. The beds were firm. The bathrooms were clean, but were overdue for some deep cleaning. The bathroom fixtures were dated — something out of the 60's. The parking lot was cramped, entering and leaving took 3-7 point turns. The hot tub was a bit cool for my tastes. The pool was just right. The staff was helpful and accomodating. The maids did a supurb job of cleaning. The carpets were lush. The continental breakfast — wine and cheese were above par for hotels in this price range.

This inn is on a busy street and you can hear traffic until midnight inside your room. The walls are very thin and every time someone shuts a door below or near you, your room will shake. The bathrooms are very dated and cluttered. The staff is fine. Breakfast is not B&B quality: boxed cereal, plain cake, and some fruit. If you can sleep through banging doors and loud traffice, stay here, else, you can find a better deal at other places.
