We had another wonderful stay at the Beach House Inn. Great location to the Marina and Wharf. Jim and Val gave us excellent recommendations for dinner, and were wonderful hosts once again!

Quaint & quiet place to stay. Friendly staff, accommodating, informed of area & things to do, great food recommendations. Room is adequately stocked. Furnishings are ok. Bed & sitting chairs need updating. Leather chair seats sag & uncomfortable. Bed was hardly tollerable. No mattress pad. Pillow top springs made noise Everytime either of us moved. Constant feel of bed springs when trying to unsuccessfully get a good night's rest was highly exhausting & annoying. Found ourselves wanting to avoid our room. We enjoyed Santa Barbara area very much!

We really enjoyed our stay at the Beach House Inn — — the staff were so genuinely kind, the accommodations were clean and comfortable, and the property was peaceful and well-kept. They might not have the on-site amenities of some of the bigger hotels, but the warm, friendly vibe makes you feel much more at home. Not only are they a dog-friendly inn, the owners are genuine dog lovers, and the extra pet fee charged was nominal. If we visit Santa Barbara again, we would definitely stay here again!

Santa Barbara is one of our favorite places for a weekend getaway. This place was very quiet, close to everything and very accommodating! We loved it! Thanks Beachhouse Inn!

We just loved this quaint and charming place. Dog friendly! Nothing fancy but comfortable and plenty of personality. Great for a laidback weekend at the beach. You can walk to state st and funk zone. Walk to the beach (for humans) and a short drive to the dog beach. Wine tasting all within walking distance, great to not worry about getting a ride. Landscaping is gorgeous. Room is clean and fresh. We'll be back.

Enjoyed our stay at the Beach House Inn. It's a cozy place off the main road so it's fairly quiet. We somehow scored Room 11 which is upstairs with its own balcony. The room was nice and clean and had a fireplace. Very comfortable bed. This was the only room where they kept the 50s pink tile in the bathroom but was well maintained so it looked nice. This is a pet friendly place and there wasn't any pet smells so it's cleaned well.

Stayed for one night in April and absolutely loved it. The charm is wonderful. The rooms are spacious, clean and make you feel like home away from home. The location is perfect… two blocks from the ocean, State Street and the highway but it's quiet and tranquil in the neighbourhood. The service was excellent and it has so many lovely little touches and the best part is that it's quality accommodation AND pet friendly.

Such a beautiful property with really nice rooms and wonderful staff. We were evacuated from a fire situation and Valerie took amazing care of us. The beds were super comfy which is a huge plus for me because I have trouble sleeping outside my own bed. The whole setup is relaxing. I highly recommend this place for a wonderful weekend getaway or a longer vacation.

Great small motel! Great location and easy walk to the beach. Great accommodations, Valerie was very helpful and made sure our stay was the best. Large rooms with small kitchen, and fireplace. Very nice!

We love going there. It's a great place to bring your dogs and very good location. Valerie the manager is really nice and helpful with restaurant and activity suggestions. The rooms are very spacious and comfortable. This is our third time staying there and we will return soon.

My dogs and I were so happy here. We didn't want to leave. It's a great location. Literally walking distance from a park, boardwalk and pier. They give you a whole list of dog friendly places to visit. We visited some dog friendly wineries in the Funk Zone but actually left the dogs in the car. We started at Oreana Winery and they have their own parking lot with trees so the car was very cool and quiet. We were able to visit 3 wineries while still being able to see the dogs where they were very content with their frozen dog marrow bones from the Brewhouse which is a restaurant right around the corner from the hotel. We were in room which was a large king room that was on the quiet street and easy to take the dogs out to piddle late at night and early morning. The nice lady working the front said they had a full house of dogs but didn't hear any and rarely saw anyone. Coffee is available in the morning and DVDs available all day. I will definitely be back again, again and again. Love Santa Barbara with the dogs.

Great place. Stayed here over the weekend for a night. Pet-friendly and great room! Built in electrical fireplace and they had a bottle opener which is a funny thing to be excited for but it made me smile. Bed was super comfortable and the lady at the front was very helpful. I took a walk with my bulldog along the marina that night which was a five minute walk from my room. Air conditioning was prime time goodness and they had like three thick blankets on top of the thin sheet which made me feel like a gigantic burrito of greatness. I kept staring at the room from the corner admiring the cleanliness and layout. Very modern in terms of appliances but traditional bodega-like feel. Like I just stepped out of the 70's with a banana board and need a good nights rest so I can get up the next day and shred the gnar. I'll be coming back here for sure. Very satisfied customer!

This was a great place to stay with our dogs when visiting Santa Barbara: Nice big and comfy rooms, quiet and cute atmosphere, small complete kitchen, very nice bathroom and changing room area, super friendly and helpful staff, lots of nice extras provided, close to beach, and the excellent Brewhouse pub which allows dogs on the patio is just a couple of blocks away! The fireplace for room heating was a nice extra too. There are only a few small things that would take this place from 'awesome' to 'perfect': an on-site doggie 'relief' area (there is a park about 50 yards away, but my guys struggled to 'hold it' that far first thing in the morning, and if I was travelling alone, as a woman I'd hesitate to be in the park after dark as it's clearly a residence for a few homeless men — none of whom behaved threateningly, but still) … although I'm not sure where this could fit on the property; and an outdoor doggie clean-up station for post-beach excursions would be helpful as well. All in all though, we loved it here and would stay again when next in Santa Barbara.
