Nice boutique hotel in a great location. Walking distance to the ferry building and your choice of delicious restaurants. Clean, modern and comfortable. The walls are a bit thin though.

Honestly this place was decent for the price. I felt really claustrophobic in the tiny hotel room, and didn't get the same room that I asked for, and there was a fight in the room next to us in the morning. But that's totally what I expected and it wasn't that bad. Shared bathrooms and showers were no fun though.

It all depends what you are expecting. Don't bring kids, but if you don't mind the filth and noise it's good for a place that for the most part isn't leaking. This place does have pros and cons that I will try to be detailed with… Pros: -Cost. $48 a night for 2 people for 3 nights. We canceled after the first night so it ended up being $66 -Close to downtown. We didn't have to go far to get to nicer areas of San Francisco. -If you do drugs you can likely find a dealer without an issue. I actually saw a drug deal happen. -There is a buzz in metal fence and presumably bullet proof glass separating you from the outside. -Wi-fi worked just fine for us. We did hear some people had issues with it, but we were just fine accessing it. -Free breakfast was also a nice perk. Consisted of banana, oranges, coffee, bagel and cream cheese, toast, maple flavored oatmeal, juices, and some sort of bran cereal. Don't expect decent quality though. It was low budget and very sugary. -Our car was not broken into, and we did see a few police cars passing down the street. Cons: -Area seems very dangerous. Late at night sketchy people loitered right near the entrance. Some talked to themselves and had "ticks". Another group of guys around 20 were there and visibly high on something. A house down from them a group of hooded guys were just hanging out. -No parking. The cheapest garage was $30 which defeated the point of booking here to save money.

Surprisingly quiet and comfortable. 6th is a lively and run down street, but I found the people friendly and had no trouble with the area. The Moscone Center is a short walk away, as is BART. I had no trouble with the shared bathrooms and never waited. Breakfast was fine.

If you just need a place to rest your head for a night no problem. It is not in a good area of town rooms are small and it is a hostile. However we walked around near the hotel and to places near buy and never felt unsafe. Homeless shelter near buy but they never bothered us.

DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR CREDIT CARD! I booked here at the last minute trying to save money. I had no idea the hotel was in such a dangerous area and that they were SHARED bathrooms. The website did not make that very clear (it's on the site somewhere). Once I read the reviews of drug needles in beds, bed bugs in beds, and the shared bathrooms and neighborhood I immediately tried to cancel. Even though I was calling a day ahead they refused to cancel my room because of their 24 hour policy. I was helpless. They had my credit card and there wasn't anything I could do about it. Misleading website. I take comfort in knowing that even though they stole $120 from me for not staying at their roach hotel… at least I might save a bunch of other people from staying here in the future. Pretty sure that was a bad business decision on their part!
