Don’t book here, I know the place is affordable to be so closed to downtown but first the parking is horrible I know there is parking lot across the hotel, is horrible alot of cars got broke in. We park at ace parking but it has hard to find parking and they charge me $60 dollars for 24 hours. The building is old and when they said share bathroom and shower it means with everyone else there is just one bathroom and one shower in every floor, around nighttime there are bugs flying around, there is no ac at the room just a fan and the sheet look clean but a little concerned if we got bug bite or not. The other thing this hotel is place on the most dangers part of San Francisco stay away from the south passing market st above to the north is nice I know the hotels are expensive but they include parking lot. And yes there is alot of homeless people when I mean alot is alot and they are talking to themselves and dancing on the street.

Run screaming. I literally am throwing away nearly $3K in an emergency last minute effort to not stay here another night (and that isn't counting the money I'm throwing away by throwing this reservation away). I have stayed at out of the way minor hotels in 3rd world countries that were nicer than this. I had to wait in the middle of a closing in crowd of homeless people to be buzzed in by a desk clerk who wasn't there. There are large garbage bins w/ garbage overflowing in the halls. Some stranger trying to enter the building wanted me to deliver something to the front desk before he'd move to unblock the entrance. The showers have no hot water. The handles to the faucets come off in my hands. I really feel I can say more, but I also feel I've said enough. There are pieces of nails protruding from the floor that cut my foot. Run screaming.

An adequate budget motel, in a sketchy neighborhood. It suited my need for an inexpensive hotel while working an event downtown. The facilities were clean, and I was satisfied with my stay.

Very sketchy area. The hotel had a weird smell and shared bathroom. I loved the bed. It was super comfortable.

In the middle of San Francisco. In questionable street but quite okay.

The sheets, linens, and facilities were for the most part clean — more on that in a sec — but if you're a light sleeper, you might consider bringing earplugs, or practice sleeping in noisy conditions before checking in. Either way, be prepared for noise, as this hotel sits astride a very busy, loud, and crowded section of Sixth Street. Perhaps the loudest and most annoying noise, though, was the children of the Indian proprietors… who they're apparently comfortable letting run free in the halls and be as LOUD as they want, at any time of the day or night they want. Which is — it bears repeating — quite annoying. About the room's cleanliness… while the linens and sheets were clean and the overall presentation solid, the place could've really used a good dusting; there were dust bunnies everywhere. But perhaps most unpleasant was the sight of IV-drug user paraphernalia in the room — one orange cap and two clear white thingies (I don't know what they're called) — alongside what I'm going to assume was a small pile of salt, behind the microwave, and obviously missed by housekeeping prior to my check-in. And finally, like I always do, I made sure I knew what check-out time was long before check-out time. And so when, at 5 minutes to 11:00am I went to the desk to check out and found no one there, I just waited.

No good, the photos on the booking website are not really looking like the hotel. The room was so small, bad smell in the whole building, outside right on the door are many homeless and they are screaming and making noises all the day. Friendly guy in the little frontdesk. I can not recommend this property unless that you can get a really good price…

Since I was just a guest of a friend that had a room I can only say it was decent.

The place is basic, but clean. The staff is correct, not too friendly, not too rude. Indeed, the interaction with them is minimal. The location is very central, but the street and surroundings of the hotel are quite dirty, and full of homeless people. I guess this is as much as you can get for this price in SF. The place is ok for young people that only want a place to sleep, and will spend the day outside. I wouldn't go with kids.

At the bottom of the hotel are many homeless and addicts who actually are not aggressive. The hotel seems secure enough. The rooms are small but functional. 1 shower and a WC per floor is little… 24-hour reception. Well placed geographically. It's impressive in San Francisco how you can spend 2 minutes from one ambience to another, for example the Hilton is a 3 minute walk away.

Simple, affordable and close to everything you need in.

If I could give it a half of star I would. So half of star goes to clean kinda sorta not really room and nice smell. Other then that never stay here people. I thought I had a mosquito biting me which is odd since I come to San Fran once a year. Turns out my bed was infested with bed bugs. I have never been so disappointed in my life. Then to top things off I had to bein phone for 3 hours before even getting a chance to get my refund. I would rather spend 500 a night then stay here again.

Probably the worst experience I have ever had in my carrier. I am working in the hospitality business but this hotel is outrageous! Really don't know how they are still in business… (money laundry.? ) The worst district in SF. Just next door there is a homeless centre or shelter or something like that. No matter what time of the day the street is always covered with homeless, junkies and the strangest creatures these days. It is not the hotels fault but for that amount of money this is horrible! Do mot be cheap! Spend some more and get a better hotel! Believe me every hotel is better than this! Few years ago I was in SF in a Youth Hostel even that was safer, better, cleaner! There is a girl daytime who is kind a nice and OK but not really helpful. Clearly visible that she would love to be somewhere else. She is Indian (I think) and the hotel is a family business. (I think) The night receptionist an old Indian gent and a lady can't even speak English so whatever you need to deal with do it on the weekdays during daytime otherwise you won't get any answer and solution! The rooms are horrible! Must everywhere! The beds are used for ages and every move make terrible sounds! Shared bathrooms and toilets! 1 morning I opened the toilet door accidentally to a junkie who was just injecting himself with something… The worst experience of my whole professional carrier! THIS PLACE IS A SCAM! I'd give 0 stars if I could, this place is an awful scam! They tried to scam me out of $750! After our flight got delayed we called to see if we could push the dates back, every time we called the same person answered every time saying "call back in 1 hour for manager" "call back in 20 for manager" "call back in 40 minutes for manager" and would immediately hang up even if I was still talking every time. We finally called to cancel because this place is a huge scam and they hung up again! Called my bank to put them on hold and called again to let them know and they charged me a second time (the first time when I booked) when I called them again after seeing the second charge they told me to call Expedia (who I did not book through) and cancel through them, I did. The bank returned the first 2 charges, so you know what they did… charged me a third time! An investigation is now being done on this hotel. Do not stay here its a scam!

I stayed in manny hotel in san francisco I can say that it good comparing to the others, room bit bigger, and winndows bigger, have free coffe in morning, free shampoog, they keep ur staff even before checking on or after check out they are nice people family, I like it.

I had a terrible experience in this hotel. First of all, I made a reservation through Booking (dot com) and they doesn't respect our reservation. I ask for a two bed room and they only have double bed rooms! So I had to share the only bed with a mate (another story). Even worst you share the bathroom and showers. Outside the hotel there are too many homeless and so much loud. Yes, it's too close to the center of San Francisco. I had to stay there because I was attending to the Microsoft Build Conference at the Moscone Center and I thought that was the only cheapest and closest option in SFO… Wrong! If you are traveling alone or with buddies, I highly recommend to better stay elsewhere. Not here.

Well if you think according to budget, its perfect. You get a room, comfy bed, no disturbance, fridge, TV and microwave. All good. Only negative would be Shared restrooms. I agree location is not idle but those homeless people never bothered me.

Do not book here! This place is an absolute dump. We just needed a quick place for the night and thought this place would do, but when we checked in the first room we were given had not been cleaned. Bed dirty and unmade dirty used towels, a garbage bag left in the room with needles in it and dried vomit on the floor. When we went to complain to the receptionist, she didn't believe us and had to go check for her self. She had us set up in another room that was equally if not more dirty. The bed was a disaster, there was booze and food every where. When we went down to complain again, she offered us a third room which we absolutely declined. We had already paid in full. When we asked for a refund we were denied one, but walked away anyways. Do yourself the favour and avoid this place like the plague.

Hotel is OK, but surrounding area is a bit disconcerting, do not feel safe after dark. The other side of the civic centre is nicer, but 6th street is unnerving to say the least!

We were on the second floor and didn't have any problem taking the stairs, and the local community does get particularly shady after dark. The hotel itself was fine though, clean room and bathroom even though its shared. There is a ton of shopping nearby though, food, quick marts, and everything you would want to check out is only about 15 mins away or so, with uber getting around was easy but most everything was in walking distance. For the price it was worth it, it was about half as much as everywhere else we checked.

Shared toilet that does lock and a shared shower per floor. No guests. Elevator is broke. It is a hostel at best.

After booking the room online, I called the hotel asking for a disable room the guy I talk to did not understand english at all and it took eight minutes explaining what a disable room was and he stated no disable room your room is on the fifth floor and you will share a bathroom with other guest, there is NO hotel parking and parking on the street was impossible, while looking for a parking spot, there was so many homeless people as well drug buys going on, very DANGEROUS area and after hearing two gun shots in front of the hotel my wife and I decided to go else where… DO NOT USE THIS HOTEL,

If you enter 6th Street homeless people, drug dealers and not social people at all are everywhere and the smell is a mix out of urine, weed and dirt. Some of them even sat DIRECTLY in front of the entrance door of that "hotel", so you kind of had to climb above them to enter the place! At night these people were loud and noisy and it was quite hard to sleep. Besides the room was extremely hot and stuffy (even with window open) and bedbugs bit us! The only good thing was that we could leave our luggage at this place at the reception and the central location but next time I would prefer sleeping at the airport or somewhere further instead of going there again. The men who runs that come down place was friendly but we sometimes waited 10 minutes till someone appeared at the reception desk. You can only recommend this hotel to people who are used to live like described above.

There are pros and cons to this hotel. The location is a 5 minute walk to the best shopping in the entire city! It is also located on a rougher street with people who clearly use drugs. In saying that I am a young small girl and I was never bothered once by anyone and the owners buzz you in right away. This place is also extremely affordable compared to any other hotels in the area. The room was clean and the shared bathrooms were never occupied and also always clean. The elevator is kinda old fashioned but we thought it was charming. The only thing that bugged us was one night quite late we needed to catch a taxi and the guy at the front desk was useless and wouldn't call us one. So we had to wait downstairs to get one and it's not the kind of place two young girls in dresses wanna be. But overall if I was in a crunch for a hotel or on a tight budget I would stay here again.
