Despite the way it looks on the outside, the inside of the rooms are totally cute! You can tell the owner/operator has made an effort to make the rooms clean and comfy. If I owned it, I would get a new gate, along with new windows to make it aesthetically nicer on the outside. Since there are bums galore in SF, regardless of which hotel you stay in, the homeless sleeping outside never bothered us. We've stayed at much fancier hotels and were more afraid to walk outside than this little gem. If you need a room to store your suitcases and a comfortable bed to sleep on for under $100 per night, than this is the place for you! Minus one star for aesthetic purposes.

Rooms are good and the service is quite good actually. On the other hand, the lobby, the outside part and corridors are scary. The elevator was also broken by the time I was in the hotel. Everything said, I would repeat the experience. If you need something they'll be glad to help you, and that's what I'm looking for when I'm in a city for the first time and alone. In terms of pricing, is good in comparison with other hotels in the area, but as I said, don't expect too much if you decide to go to this hotel. Not recommended for families with kids.

I gave this hotel 3 stars based only on the housekeeper, the location and the access to snacks and restaurants. However my sister reserved this hotel with her card but when I got there they ask for mines so I paid… but had to leave at 8 am which is 24hours before my next check in time but couldn't get a refund. Dude showed me a non refund policy that had nothing to do with me since I paid with my card in person. Talking bout Sundays there biggest day… please if it is then you would have made that money back no question. Only go here if you not familiar with s. F. Bay; if you know you want have to suddenly leave or if you have no luck no where else.

The room we got was fine, but the walls are really thin, so you can hear your neighbours. Locations is close to Union Square which is nice, but the neighbourhood is a bit rough. For the money we have paid, we would definitely look for a different place of we would return to SF.

The worst management ever. The manager Kalpesh illegally evicted me, even though I signed lease agreement. He would charge my guests 10 to just be allowed to come up and visit with me. There is a massive roach infestation. The is no TV or cable. Although the rooms are big and do have private bathrooms, the rent of 100 day is too outrageous. And the management is beyond rude and shady. I caught them writing down a copy of my credit card info. I cancelled it, but why would they need a copy of my card after the room had already been charged. Stay Far Away from this hotel. I.

Small rooms need to be updated. Front desk unavailable after 9pm. Broken elevator. No customers service. Hotel Has shady long term residents and shady guestd. No food service and no I would never ever stay stay there or recommend to anyone.

It a lovely hotel in San Francisco Clean and nice. Free Wi-Fi.

BED BUGS! On my bed… Writing this review because I can't sleep… I think the room hasn't been cleaned at all, since there is a lot of dirt on the floor (it is a wooden floor, you can vacuum clean it easily). One pillowcase had severe stains in it. I do not want to know where those stains come from. The shower looks dirty too so I won't be using it. I can imagine someone catching mold from it. If I could switch to another hotel I would. My sister booked this hotel and we only stay for 2 nights before going back home. PLEASE DO YOURSELF A FAVOUR and pay 100 dollars more for a decent 3 star motel!

Where do I start. Actually I having nothing nice at all to say so for now I'm going to leave it at this. The manager there thinks he owns the place tells everybody he owns the place but he's just the manager he is Indian guy and he has very very bad control issues and does many many illegal things makes people pay $10 for a guest if it's after 11pm. His name is Kelpesh and he has done too many people so dirty I am amazed he is still continuing his shady business.

Very old hostel. Not the best part of town (tenderloins) but st the same time very close to everything! & in regards to location it's literally on the exact On the same street just 100 metres down from the Hilton. Staff were so helpful & amazing! ☺️ Reasonable price for what you get.

Room had everything standard in a hotel except AC. It was also very noisy due to proximity to street and windows blinds were not enough to keep the light out. The shower curtain was very dirty.

The room wasn't extremely bad except our shower curtain was moldy so they may have been curious why all our towels were sopping wet everyday, well I refused to use the shower curtain. I don't think the maid took the time to sweep at all during our stay. There's zero parking so be prepared to pay for a parking garage, closest one we found was $30 a day. We got a parking ticket even though we paid for parking read the signs very carefully! If you stay here check out the Redford for food and alcohol! Hopefully you get Larissa as your server she's awesome!

It has the minimum necessary, it is clean only that in its location there are many people who live in the street.

Budget hotel with budget service. The limited visiting hours are oppressive and made me feel like I was staying in a halfway house, not a hotel.

It's a sro so I call it home. It is run by a man that is prejudice, and rude. And semen only cares about money the place is a dump and doesn't ever get good reviews there is a desk guy that will play a cow (god) and tell you if or if not you can get a visitor (local hoe) into your room if it's allowed that will cost 20… the only that some people my like is its close to the drug trade of the tenderloin. Other than that stay clear. It's over priced and smells like puss and cury. Bad combination. If you want a good memory of sf go anywhere else but here. That's as honest. As I can be. Enjoy your trip.

Simple accomodations. If you are staying for short period of time then its a great place to stay.

I love the owner he is so nice and accommodating. Very personable with a little bit of care/concern about my safety in this big city.

Relatively nice room with adequate in-room furnishings. The building is obviously much older and has a manual door elevator. There are what appear to be many long-term tenants, and it can get fairly noisy because of that. Lastly, the area is rather seedy, but they do their best to keep you separated from that. Overall, it gets the job done.

I was here for an overnight stay before shifting to another hotel. The hotel is small but clean. Rate is reasonable. Hotel employees are friendly, polite and helpful. I didn't get time to get a SIM card but the receptionist helped me get in touch with my friend using the hotel's phone. I also got a compatible mobile charger from the receptionist since my charger was not compatible. The hotel can be easily found even if you have never been here before. I explored many places in San Francisco bay area since this place is a walkable distance from many of them. There is no TV in the room but free Wi-Fi is available. Bathroom is clean. They don't serve foods in the hotel. Many Indian restaurants are just outside the hotel though. The street where this hotel is located is usually quiet except for an occasional shouting of some drunkards.

Had a reservation but when I got there they told me they were overbooked and could not accommodate my reservation. Place is also in the worst part of San Francisco. Two thumbs down.

This is a budget hotel in a questionable neighborhood. That being said, its not a bad place to stay. My main complaint was the visitor restrictions which required all guests to leave an ID at the front desk. No visitors after 9pm.

Someone booked this place for me. So I was very concerned when I first arrived. It looks very sketchy. But you get what you pay for. The room was clean. The staff were really nice. You can tell it is a very old hotel. You can hear everything outside and it got really cold at around 1-2 am. If you want a 5star hotel, the Hilton is a few blocks away and you can pay 3x the price. I would stay here again.

Just came back from San Francisco on April 2, 2016. I have a horrible experience staying there. It is very noisy. Every mid-night there was knock on my door for some time. Hallways are dark, cold, and smelly. Room curtain was like sheers, which doesn't provide any privacy in the night. Streets in front of the hotel are full of homeless people and drug takers. It was a scary experience I never forget. I wouldn't recommend this hotel to any woman staying there alone.

I found cockroach in my shoes. Better to spend few bucks more on a different hotel, you won't regret.

Infested with cockroaches. They were aware of this. Checked us in. We checked straight out and went to the Hilton. This is a homeless hostel. I'm not against that at all, I'm pleased homeless people have a place to stay. This isn't a hotel.
