Poor conditions just old decor to dirty surfaces. Expected more for the price. Would love a refund.

No deposit required. Nice if you need somewhere to go for sure. Would recommend planning in the future for better prices and or places. Great customer service and advice.

Very nice front desk guy. Had to switch rooms because TV cable was yanked out the back and couldn't make a good connection for a signal.

I don't recommend anyone this place the information of the internet is not real, the rooms are not that q it seems and are not delicate with the money stranger went to the hotel and when I saw the room to claim my money and they did not gave me back. It is not fair to q stay with your money for a service q has not happened. I don't recommend to anyone.

Cheap hotel bad neighbourhood. Ok for people who don't mind drunk and addicts on the streets.

PLEASE READ BEFORE BOOKING HERE! This place doesnt deserve any stars. The service is horrible, the place is dirty, hot and sticky, and just nasty. When we first got there the neighborhood is rough. There is no parking other than street and overnight parking is $30. When you first walk in youll realize it was a mistake. The elevator didnt work and had to drag our bags to the 4th floor. The stairs are dirty and the place looks like it hasnt been cleaned in years (thick crust of dust in corners of stairs and hallways⚠️). Also, some of the rooms were wrapped with plastic and tapped up as if beign fumigated ⚠️. We made reservations for a room with a private bathoom. The toilet didnt work and the bathtub was disgusting (see picture). When we asked for a refund they offered another room that was "better" but no private bathroom. We declined since that was not an option for us. The man at the front desk said they have a strict policy and no refunds are allowed. We asked for a refund for almost 2 hours. It felt like we were talking to a wall the guy kept on saying "you brought yourself here, we didnt ask you to come" and "no refunds theres nothing I can do" This is obviously a small privately owned hotel. They are shameless and straight up robbed us. While we were there another couple who stayed here had many complaints. Unfortunately they had no other choice but to stay there. We paid $114 and did not stay here. This is wrong on so many levels.

Great prices not bad accoumedations.

Horrible place. It's right in the middle of blocks of homeless people. The people outside were on drugs, naked, drunk, screaming and fighting all night. You could hear and smell everything from outside in the room, even with closed windows. The smell was again drugs and human "output". The hotel door is locked 24/7, so that nobody can get in, that's how bad the neighborhood is. The hotel itself is really old inside. The rooms were not cleaned once in our three night stay. The bathtub was dirty, I didn't want to shower at all. One night I had to kill a cockroach which was running on the floor next to the bed. The people running the hotel were friendly, that's the only positive thing.

STAY ANYWHERE ELSE! DO NOT STAY HERE! I was woken up at 3AM by someone trying to enter my room — and they had a key! I tried speaking to them through the door but they didn't listen until I shouted 'someone's in here' and then they stopped. It was lucky I had locked both locks, as they successfully unlocked one of them. I dragged a chair up to the door and called reception. Turns out a previous guest of this room left something and called up — so management came to inspect the room, at 3am, without checking whether there was a guest or not! ridiculous! The icing on the cake was a manager than came to my room ten minutes later to speak with me face-to-face to apologise. I said I will speak to him in the morning, but he relented and kept going, until I not so kindly reminded him it was 3am and all I wanted to do was sleep without people coming up in my room. There no excuse for me losing my temper, so apologies for that, but if anything ever got close — this was it!

The worst hotel I've ever stayed in. We checked into this hotel to get away from another hotel that was full of homeless people shooting up. We moved to this hotel hopefully thinking it would be better. Was I wrong! Full of shady characters everywhere. The hotel it's self had the dodgiest elevator I'd ever seen! Our room wasn't that good, paper thin walls I could hear people having sex in the room next door! My partner got bed bugs just yuck! I only got 3 hours sleep, it was just so loud and noisy everywhere. Checked out after one night at 5am, will never ever stay here again! Highly recommend people don't stay here! It's for people using drugs and banging porstitues. Just spend the better money and stay away from this place, you won't feel safe. Trust me I didn't either.

Credit charged three times. Once with zero fee and twice with hotel stay fee. Since both charges are pending, employees said they can't refund second charge until it goes through : (

Terrible. Unsafe neighborhood. Smelly and just gross.

Clean. Only one in the area I found with private bathroom. Apart from that, not a Very good hotel. Old, weird looking, no breakfast…

For a lower-mid scale hotel located in Tenderloin, the Aldrich meets our needs! The front desk staff are very friendly and helpful, the room was clean, and has amenities such as a fridge and TV. Online reviews made me nervous, but for a budget hotel, it exceeded the reviews! The area is definitely inner city (homeless and drug users are around), but that can be seen in quantities around most of downtown SF and we never were approached.

Took my wife here for a little getaway for the night and we had a great time. The room was very clean and comfortable and the tub was fantastic. Also on arrival the free glass of wine hit the spot. Its also close to the waterfront attractions within walking distance. This is more of a couples place and is very quiet.

Awful, even for the cheapest hotel in San Francisco. Community bathrooms and showers, staff was rude and incompetent, there were prostitutes roaming the halls and you can hear everything through the walls. The hotel was filthy and unkept. Do not waste your money on this hotel.

If your not used to bad areas then this hotel is not for you, but for the money it was surprisingly clean quite friendly. When you walk out the door you literally walk into the worst part of SF but if you walk up a block your smack dab in the middle of one of the best parts of SF on Market and that's where all the shops and stores are including all of the public transportation to get you to any part of San Francisco.

Checked in and immediately checked out. It stunk of smoke even though I requested a non smoking room. The bathroom was filthy with hair and brown spots in the tub and the hallway smelled of urine. Would not recommend this to anyone. They wouldn't even refund us our money.

Don't bother to book. Its on the ugly part of town. They need to just tear it down.

It didn't look so bad… but the rooms we ugly and dirty. There was vomit in the restroom. But the WORST was, that we had bedbugs in our beds. Our skin turned red and very itchy, still have it, even though it is four days ago. definitely the worst hotel/hostel on my 4 weeks west coast travel. By the way… it wasn't even cheap.

There is nothing I can compare this hotel with, I staied with the chair against the door in order to be able to sleep in a sort of safe environment. Smoky bed sheets, the bathroom is just like has been through war, the walls seem to colaps on me at any slight wind movement. I rather sleep on a bench in Union Square next time, than to choose Aldrich again. The pictures shown on the web are unrealistic.
