It was so close to Fishermans Wharf and you could walk to everything. The staff was amazing and the rooms were clean.

Two women traveling. Requested room on first floor. Discovered after 2 nights, room did not lock! asked for repair. Repair was done. Room still didn't lock. Discovered that next day. Not safe. Management tried to make a joke about it the second time. Not sure what's funny about staying in an unlocked room. Didn't offer any refunds.

Nice and quiet, good place to crash.

Unacceptable. We drove from FL to CA. Staying at many Holiday Inn. By far, this was the worst. The interior was outdated with wallpaper and wet smell. We booked for 1 night, double beds, but one of our bed was not clean. The bed was reeked of urine odor. The sheet looked used and wrinkle, like it wasn’t changed from the previous customers. I contacted the front desk requesting new mattress cover, but they didn’t have any extra. They bought up a twin size bed to accommodate 4 people. That didn’t work out since the room was too small. All they could do was giving us extra sheet and towel to put on the urine spot. Spoke to assistant guest service manager, Mr. Andrea Jaramillo, regarding the issue. All he did was sending pictures of the room and soiled sheets to the housekeeping team. He offered to take care of us on our next visit while he can’t even take care of our problem this time. Stay away from this place. Very unprofessional.

The guy who checked us in was really nice and helpful. The only set back the walls are thin and our neighbors were doing karaoke.

Although this hotel is in a good location, it takes advantage of that fact by charging extortionate valet fees to quite clearly park your car somewhere off-site (we never saw our vehicle in the hotel parking garage and the Parked Car feature of Apple Maps indicated it was across the road in a lot that advertised a cheaper rate, and hardly looked secure. ) On top of this, the valet staff are unprofessional, rude, and lazy. An added bonus to all of this was when a car crashed i…nto the side of the parking garage on one night of our stay, which was clearly visible from our window, alongside the many police lights that followed it. Needless to say, hotel staff were particularly tight-lipped about the situation the next day, despite the fact that the building physically shuddered from the impact of the collision. In general it seems as though concierges are basically there for decoration and rarely greet guests on entrance or appear available to help. In addition, the daily resort fee to stay at this property is not made clear on the website and staff get very uptight about you querying it, although to be honest, these “resort fees” are a complete joke across all popular destinations. The front desk staff on our check in were curt and unhelpful. It’s also worth noting that this property used to be located across the street but is currently under renovation — the temporary Express leaves a lot to be desired. There are probably nicer places to stay in the Wharf.

Our room was full of cob webs! We contacted hotel staff, they told us they'd handle it the next morning. Uh… who wants to sleep in that? My kids were exhausted and it was late by the time was got to the room so we let it be. Next day we get back to the room. Nothing done. Contact the front again, say they will get it clean and speak with their manager. Hours later, nothing done, no response. We say screw it, this place is ridiculous. We checked out and stayed elsewhere the next night. I even showed them pictures of the cob webs. Horrible service and dirty!

Very rude staff. The lady that checked us in wasn’t helpful and talks in a condescending manner. Valet made my husband park our own car and we still paid the same parking rate. I will never stay here again.

The staff here are brilliant, room spacious hotel is good. Only a short walk to fisherman's walk cable cars and night life. Would definitely recommend.

If I could give less I would. My husband and I are staying here right now and it is NOT NICE. The photos they have on their posted must of been many many years ago, because it is nothing like the pictures. The place is dirty, stains everywhere, and right down nasty.

Had to walk from one building to the other… paid $53 dollars for parking overnight which was acceptable minus the fact that there were really no spaces left. Had to wiggle into what was not a parking space. Not all cars there had parking pass displayed so not sure how that worked. Room was fine but shower long black hair on the curtain which was not our hair… not very impressed to say the least.

Hotel is comfy but you should be aware with some rooms that are next to the fire station. At certain point at morning they make a lot of noise. Side of that, beds are great, rooms are clean. Hotel location is next to fisherman's wharf so you have a lot of things to do near.

Perfect spot to experience San Francisco. Everything almost walking distance. Lot of foreigners seem shocked to see black people. The vibe of the place was very weird. If your room is facing the street be prepared for noise all night. Front desk people very nice.

The room was a good hotel room, it had everything that we needed. The restaurant/bar of the hotel had a couple of pool tables which was really cool. Unfortunately, the environment was not the most pleasant to be in as there were a couple of drunk people at the bar. The food was not appetizing at all. I probably would not stay here again if given the option of another hotel. At the time we reserved there were no other options for a hotel close to the venue we were going to to see a show. Fantastic location. Let's be honest you aren't going to San Fran for the hotel. That being said, this hotel is in a GREAT location. Two blocks from all the action and right on the main street's to get taxi's etc. The only reason why this is not five stars is because the staff in the breakfast area was VERY concerned about gratuities to the point of being pushy. The room was clean, services worked, the parking is OUTRAGEOUS so plan on doing something about that before booking a stay here.

Just enough and just for the cleanliness quite accurate and for the varied and plentiful breakfast, but only if you included it in the room rate, otherwise you go out the cost is not justified. For the rest the property is old and shabby. Even in the common parts you breathe air years 80, without effective maintenance. Even in the rooms the furnishings are dated and worn beyond the acceptable. The air conditioner, also dating back to the glorious years 80, is noisy, when it snaps, even with the fan to a minimum, is like having a twin-engine in the room, (in fact, you find the earplugs in the bedside table). The bed-turning fabrics are stained in several places. The carpet has seen better times. The walls are all stained and do not see a painting for several years. Not to mention the fantastic view of the parking lot, being on the ground floor imagine the noise and vibration when someone puts the car in motion a meter from your window. The staff, save for some rare exception, does not shine by sympathy. Given the wide availability of hotels in the area there is definitely better. Hyatt Regency council or the Marriott.

Good location. The food is not bad. The friendliness of the staff is not bad, but not remarkable. Clean and large rooms.

It is not so new but it is economical to be so well located. Close to the wharf and the important thing to visit in San Francisco.

Great stay, great staff, they did everything they could to "take care of you" as the front desk put it. They seemed genuinely invested in making certain their guests were happy and having a good stay. Plus, you need your room key to access the elevator, so there is an extra level if security.

Room was nice. I was tricked into thinking the breakfast was complimentary. The front desk clerk specifically told me upon check-in to check out there complimentary breakfast in the morning and to arrive before 11 a. M. Absolutely no where was it posted that breakfast was a paid Buffet. I served my self and sat down. Was asked my room number and then charged 27.00 for eggs and bacon. I'm afraid I won't stay there again.

Lazy Hotel for what they charge you, not bad could be better. The highlight is the location more than excellent.

The only thing this hotel has going for it was the location. We checked in and we were in their “second building. ” So we had to walk outside and around the corner to get to our hotel room (which personally I was not fond of at all because we came back around 11:45 one night). We did not know that there was going to be a $57 PER DAY parking fee. The fee was not disclosed ahead of time. Customer service was decent and brought us more towels when we asked for some although we found garbage on the floor that was not entirely cleaned up from the previous guests. There is no water fountain anywhere and we were told the tap water was safe to drink. I went to use their vending machine and every selection I wanted was sold out. We’re supposed to be on vacation not running into frustrations. I guess stay if you have no other choices. The location is great, but the headaches aren’t worth it.

Basic accommodation in a nice setting. We opted for a family room (2 adults and 2 children) and we were given just that, with 2 double beds. En suite is a little small, dated and damaged, but acceptable. Breakfast is available to buy for $24.95 for adults (buffet style with plenty of choice and all you can eat) and the children eat free. Good for budgeting and filling up to enable a light lunch. Good access to the Embarcadero and Pier 39 in Fisherman's Wharf. Lombard Street is close, but well uphill so make sure you're fit before attempting — but it's well worth it for the view and experience of the crooked street. Safeway supermarket is close (on Bay Street just off the junction with Columbus Street) and it's prices are very reasonable and good quality. Fill up for an economical lunch!

The hotel is very nice there is an ice cube machine The rooms are great and the hotel is very close to the beach no great hotel.

Large hotel well located for fisherman's wharf and piers. Rooms spacious and comfortable, complimentary Wi-Fi. Coffee machine in room. Rates on the expensive side so was surprising that breakfast was extra and costly. Number of cafes across street very good and much more reasonably priced. Parking as for all of SF at cost (c. $40/day). Staff helpful, cleaners very efficient.

The only reason I gave any stars at all is because of location. The customer service is very poor. I had to request a crib 3 different times before they brought me one at 10pm. The a. C. Was very noisy and kept waking us up. Poor cleanliness and maintenance upkeep. The housekeeper barged into our room on 2 occasions with barley a knock first. Needless to say I will not be staying again and do not recommend for anyone.

This is a great location — we walked everywhere from here. We got parking included which was convenient but expensive. The room was spacious and clean and bed comfortable but the bathroom cramped. No breakfast included but was available if you want to pay. I'd recommend finding a cafe nearby as there are plenty to choose from within a 5-10 minute walk. This is an standard hotel in a great location — better priced than others but still expensive for what you get. The value is in the proximity to the piers and cable cars etc.

Great food, fast service! Amazing coffee. This brunch was a great way to start my day in SF. I recommend the Eggs Benedict.

Booked via Priceline for a King size bed was given. Double was told if I wanted the king I’d have an additional charge as it’s in another property. The bathroom in both Rooms 342 and 330 had pubic hair left in the tub from previous guests. Apparently they have a poor cleaning crew. The guy at the front desk tried to say it could be cracks within the paint. Didn’t refund my money because it was through Priceline and didn’t get the manager either moved my room with the same problem. I was referred back to Priceline and they won’t do anything either stating that Management feels by moving me to another room they did everything they could. So I hope they enjoy these pictures we took of the rooms. Posting to FB, IG and Twitter.

AVOID THE WHARF BUILDING! The rooms are very small and outdated. I'm pretty sure the Columbus building is newer and better. Get your moneys worth. There is no view except for the street but that didn't matter to me. Expect traffic and construction noise (same at any other hotel too). Parking is $57.00/night after tax (it's not much cheaper elsewhere) The night time staff at the Columbus building are a little bitter. The day time staff is awesome!

Served it's purpose! Excellent location. Within walking distance of a lot of wharf attractions. That's definitely what drew us there. I had no intention of doing anything but sleep in the hotel. It had Wi-Fi and friendly employees but I honestly didn't interact with the hotel that much. I wanted to be out and about and that's what we did!

I loved the place only to pass a night.

The only good thing is the location. After a disaster. Very bad attention. I lost several packages that were received by mail. Very disorganized and bad predisposition in reception and Concierge. I would not recommend it.

The guy who checked us in did not give us any direction or knowledge of anything. We stood in the elevated forever trying to get the card to work. Did not know you had to tap it. Did not give us a Wi-Fi and or he did say don't eat I'm your restaurant because it wasn't good. The room was nice and I met one maid. Pleasant. Only one kerig cup of coffee in room. My husband and I shared. We had to hike up the hill where you park with bags because the elevated key didn't work and almost got hit by a car. Also. Our room was by the lobby. He told is to park all the way at the other side. View gorgeous but the check in guy ruined it for me.

It is convenient to be near Chinatown and Fisherman's Wharf. The room is also tidy and okay.

Super large hotel rooms, befitting with carpeted floor. Si are just our cowboys. The rooms are sufficiently clean, no disgust or anything like that. Just enjoy your holiday. Top location at Fisherman's Wharf. Most of all you have to go to "in-N-Out burger" to eat burgers, absolutely delicious.

The hotel is very nice and it's located in a very strategic place of the city. The service checking in was not of the best.

Pleasant hotel. It gets a bit noisy once a night when they empty the containers.
At the entrance it has a small "kiosk. " The peer or cable car can be reached in a good way. Right while crossing the road it has a delicious "coffee" with sweet, salt biscuits and delicious saws.

Com Booked a room on there and they had the best rates around… We had an awful flight in from the UK which lead to serious delays getting to our hotel. The ladies of the front desk were AMAZING. Nothing seemed to be a problem. Our room was saved for us, the staff were welcoming and they thought through all our on going travel plans (we were cruising) and they just sorted things out. Thank you so so much front desk and front of house teams. Room was well presented, clean and tidy. We had a little welcome gift which was lovely thank you. Didn't have time to try out food or other facilities.

It's a nice hotel, great location near Fisherman Wharf and 5 minute walk to Lombard Street, lots of shops and attractions around the area, The hotel is nice but needs little more updates. The only bummer is it's $58.00 per night to park and breakfast buffet is $24.00 per person, I recommend if anyone haves breakfast there order from the menu, little less cheaper and be aware if they offer bacon or sausage it's extra on the bill. The older man who is waiter took our plates before we finished our food without asking if we were done, we didn't like that. The service at the desk is great thou. They are very helpful, it's a nice hotel but little expensive for a Holiday Inn. Just be aware of fee's or extra charges.

It's like any Holiday Inn hotel. But it is very expensive for its location.

I stayed at this hotel about a month ago. My first impression was pretty good, until we were slapped with a $50/night parking fee. Then the room. The room with no refrigerator or any view of the city. In fact, the best views through the window was people walking in the alley looking inside our window. We went to the front desk to get a different room without much prevail. We now had a room on the 4th floor still with no view. Although the room wasn't perfect, we hadn't spent too much time in the room anyway. The hotel has a nice clean pool and exercise room. Also a great location and within walking distance of many exciting places.

3.5 stars — lobby staff and housekeeping was friendly. Room had thoughtful touches like disposable slippers, ear plugs and sleeping mask. Unfortunately, the bathroom wasn't as clean as I would have liked… there were hairs on the floor, in the sink and on edge of tub that appeared to be from 3 different bodies (long Amber hair, short/thick/curly dark hair, and wispy dark brown men's head hair length). Wouldn't have used the slippers normally, but after seeing those I immediately put them on. Despite the hair issue, would stay here again.

This hotel is right next to the Fisherman's Wharf and Pier 39 areas, so if you're into touristy crowded areas this is the place to come. Downtown is just a half an hour walk away if you are into strolling down streets smelling of urine and populated with crazy people. Golden Gate bridge is also within walking distance. Check in here was hassle-free. However there are actually two buildings comprising this hotel on two separate blocks and I thought it was inconvenient that we were placed in the second building, not hugely so but it made trips to the pool more difficult than they should have been. The room was pretty standard and we felt comfortable and secure there, but I do wish I would've have looked under the beds because the candy wrapper and potato chip I found under there were evidence that they don't clean under there as often as they should. However the bathroom, which I regard as one of the most essential factors contributing to the comfort of my stay, was more than adequate. They are ready to provide complimentary small toiletry items that you may need which is a nice touch. I would stay there again if it made economic sense, but I would not hesitate to look elsewhere if it didn't.

This place is terrible I am so disappointed by our night here. Yes the location is wonderful but that constantly tack on fees for everything. I had family coming to visit and wanted to see San Francisco so I booked two rooms on Priceline a month ago or so, each room was $306 a night which is pricey! Our thoughts were breakfast was included per the email and we had a pool we could use after a long day of exploring San Francisco! So after checking in we dropped off our bags and went exploring when we came back we were told the pool was getting worked on, which they should have told us when I called to ask about the pool. In the morning we all woke up for breakfast, low and behold my price of $306 a night per room (totaling $780 not including the $57 I paid for parking) did not include breakfast! They began to tell me it would cost $24.99 a person for yogurt, fruit and dry cereal! What a joke. I will never stay at a Holiday Inn again. I knew I should have just found a Hampton Inn like I always do!

When you move the armchair of the room we find that the room and overall cleanliness was not good, there was garbage and it felt like I had never vacuumed the carpet.

It was very close to the port and Little Italy. Good service It also offers a service for transportation to the airport.

Loved the location in regards to the Pier, but it would have been nice to have a room that wasn't overlooking a nightclub/lounge for the sake of our 3 young kids. EXTREMELY LOUD until 3am Friday & Saturday night. It would have been nice to have the front desk realize we had young kids and maybe place us in a room away from the noise.

We did a quick trip up to the city for an event and booked a night. The hotel was great and convenient to get to Fort Mason and Fisherman's wharf. The parking was a bit expensive at $45+ tax but its what you expect in San Francisco.

Very good location, close to many activities. Staff were very friendly and accommodated my needs. Front desk helped me to check in early around 9:00 am. Very good service.

Clean, comfortable, and surprisingly quiet. They even provide earplugs to help you deal with outside noise (wasn't a problem for us). Super convenient to fisherman's wharf and public transit. We'd come back here no problem.

The room is great, and the pool is beautiful and well kept. The workout room is nice, and you can take the dumbbells outside to work out in the beautiful air. Great hotel!

Pretty chill out hotel, very comfortable beds and good internet, it's very close to the Ghirardelli so I snatch some chocolates and also clam chowder from the Fisherman's Wharf, loved it.

Nice structure, clean, spacious rooms and comfy beds. Great location to visit the piers and also the city. The rooms unfortunately are not well soundproofed and if you are on the street you will hear all the noises.

Decent stay and did stay again. Helpful staff. Was a bit cold but we still braved the pool for a short while. Price was reasonable and even the additional cost for breakfast in the dining room was yummy. We also visited the Dennys at the adjacent holiday in just around the corner. Close proximity to shopping and many restaurants, the wharf, pier 39, Ghirardelli square etc. Pregnant at the time I was happy to push just other little one around and enjoy some sight seeing and of course some food!

Ok if one is on vacation for one night on the through journey.

So far my stay at the Holiday Inn Fisherman's Wharf has been fantastic. The location is great (Denny's in the lobby; Walgreen's across the street). The rooms are also kept to a very high standard (very nice and clean). It's great that every room has a small mini fridge, though a microwave would be even better. Also, the rooms/amenities are reaching the end of their lifespans, but they're still very well-maintained.

The hotel is outdated but clean and the staff was nice and accommodating. We stayed in the holiday Inn express facing beach street, right outside of fishermans wharf. The walls/windows were very thin and did not keep out the noise from the street or neighbors. Even with earplugs it was difficult to get a good night's rest.

Good hotel, staff excellent. Although his staff is not very good with the Spanish-speaking world. In if, the people always help. The rooms are comfortable and with good view.

Good floors 4-5. GOSTINICA on 3 stars. Breakfast is terrible. Rather they are purely American.

Good location, good service (not us carried the bags never) and very good facilities. The only bad thing is the price of parking ($40 daily) and that no one spoke Spanish.

The place is reasonable, be careful in the restaurant they will charge the 15% tip directly and therefore it is not necessary to leave additional tip, do not warn you of the issue, if you go with ninios they don't pay but you will be charged and then deducted without descontarte the tip for the service, A Criollada…

The price is very good, the location excellent. What I would recommend in addition to that there are moves one to all sides very easily within 2 blocks of the cable car, walk to go to Alcatraz, in the corner of the truck to go to the Golden. 2 blocks transportation to go to Market, walk you super well to the street of lombard. Etc best impossible. Note. The only thing bad is the loose of the Conserge, is a young man that I don't understand why they have it there if it does not help in anything, on the contrary will be annoyed if you ask him.
