Worst hotel experience of my life. And I have stayed in some below average places throughout my life. We were charged for another room, even though the website says kids under 12 are free. The room was disgusting with a dirty blanket. There was a note from the staff to leave a tip… who does that? The lady that works the day shift is rude, and watches everyone like he or she is about to steal something. What are we going to steal? A dirty blanket or towel? A stale Danish? Or maybe we might steal some of the boogers that were wiped on the walls next to our bed. Will NEVER stay here again, and recommend that others do the same!

Stay somewhere else if you ever find yourself in Gilroy, CA. This place is a dump from the first floor all the way to the top. The staff are rude, unfriendly, and really should get out of the customer service business. The rooms, hallways, lobby, and even the elevator were all filthy. You could see stains on the bedspread, lampshades, as well as the carpets, and the whole feel will make you wish that you brought your own bedding and linens. Our experience started off horrible right from the check in, which ended up taking over a half an hour. We had pre-booked online, and when we arrived, my wife was asked how many children we had. Since my wife is an honest person, she told the truth, which "exceeded the maximum amount of people for the room, " so says the front desk guy. Then, the man says that we would have to book another room, down the hall, to separate our family, or leave the hotel and forfeit the money we paid for the original room (we had booked the original room for 2 nights, at over 300 bucks, so we definitely didn't want to throw that money away). Thus, we put up the money for the additional room, which then ended up costing even more than the original room. The story doesn't end here either folks. We are tired from our trip, and settle into the filthy beds for the night — not before I had to fix the television that was flashing the menu on the screen rapidly with no way to stop it other than unplugging and resetting everything.

This is by far the WORST motel experience our family has ever had… and believe me, we had some pretty colorful ones when we took a 6 week long road trip across 4 states several years ago! The staff was incredibly rude, unaccomodating, confrontational, unprofessional, and just seemed angry to be doing their jobs. We felt very unwelcome and uncomfortable the entire time. The only reason we stayed was because we unfortunately booked ahead and they already had our debit card info, so we were going to be out a big chunk of money if we left. This motel is DISGUSTING. It is extremely rundown, DIRTY, and in desperate need of repair. The rooms were NASTY! Boogers smeared on the walls to both sides of the bed, poop smeared on the bathroom doorframe, dirty surfaces throughout, stains and old food on the bedspread, dirty walls, roughly patched holes in the wall, broken bathtub faucet, chipped paint… The screens are missing or broken from the room windows, which could be opened all the way, and pose a huge safety hazard to children. Upon seeing the condition of the room, we were even more completely appalled to see a note scribbled on the notepad to "leave tips please. " Breakfast was lackluster, and served 6a to 9a. My husband went to fill up a cup of coffee at 9:02a and got chewed out by the lady at the desk, who said breakfast was over. The coffee was going to get thrown out anyways… what was the problem with letting him fill his cup?!

Room was not as advertised. Rude receptionist at desk. Failed to acknowledge pre approved king bed request, ground floor Room and a late Check in and had only three pillows in the room and was told no more available. The latter check in was not needed as we were there at 6:00 pm. Breakfast was very light and short on numerous items. Would never recommend this facility. I thought Windom Hotels was a far better company.

Ok hotel. Clean and convenient location to outlets. If you want visitors they cannot go to your room, you must meet in lobby. Very weird.

Great remodeling that they have done. The room and layout was very nice. Clean and comfortable. The hotel staff however was the reason for the low rating. Very rude to guests and came pounding on my door rt when 11 am hit. She Shouted "time to check out" wasnt a minute past check out time.

This place is horrible! There are water pipes that are broken in the hotel. The entrance to this hotel is roped off with caution tape. Rooms were dirty the front desk lady was really rude and watched every move we did when leaving the hotel. The pillow or lack of pillows were uncomfortable. Really should of got my money back. Will never stay here again and warn other people dont stay here. The worst hotel I. Have been in. Watch out for the lady that maybe own it or is just the front desk she looks like a crazy stalker.

It is a despicable place India that this at reception is a racist person is a woman despot and rude is offered free breakfast and you walk around caring as if you were going to steal some breakfast the beds have nasty stains that you know are broken the bathrooms are h I do not recommend this place to nadieeeee for more than the. Bad state of the hotel India is an unpleasant rude I felt attacked by that she yelled at my face.

No lo recomiendo creo que en casi 20 anos de vivir en california no habia topado con una indu tan desagradable como la que esta en la recepcion es una raciasta vi como a unos muchachos los vijilo asta que se fueron los vi desayunar incomodos es grosera prepotente y descriminatoria no se ospeden nunca ahi ademas una de las que limpian me robo 15 dls que saco de mi cartera es el colmo que una persona trate con tanto despresio alos demas si salen un momento de su cuarto lleven con ustedes todo lo de valor. Un consejo nose ospeden nunca ahi hermanos latinos ella juzga pir su apariencia al checar estos comentarios busquen otro hotel mejor este en gilroy ca no sirve una estrella es generosamente mucho no se merese ni una estrella por la india que es la recepcionista razista.

I highly dont recommend. The lady is extremely rude. (The cleaning ladies are nice and always find a way to help), but SHE gets really mad at when people smoke, also when there are too many peole per room. (no guests). She SCREAMS at people and (I belive) is (low-key) racist. (here is why). A friend of mine was at the (Free) breakfast area and they would not stop watching us. (They probably thought we would "take" something from there FREE BREAKFAST AREA! ). Anyway, the whole time we were uncomfortable. I understand policy and rules, but her attitude is far too aggressive and rude. We were here for ONE NIGHT and it was TERRIBLE. (I DONT KNOW HER NAME, BUT IF YOU GO IN, YOU CANT MISS HER) PS: We had problems with outlets. (I left my phone charging and woke up to an empty battery). That is not supposed to be something to worry about! Also the shower handle. (Pull and twist counterclockwise). We tried many times, but nothing. (It was really late and we didnt want to say anything because we had to work again the next day. ) This place was terrible and I wouldn't recommended to ANYBODY. (even if it is just for 1 night). The ONLY reason why this place has 2 stars is because the building is conveniently near popular grocery stores. When all is said and done, (overall), this place is just a waste of your money. Im sorry for the cleaning crew bacause they honestly try to fix any problem but no matter how hard they try this place is just horrible.

The owner to this place is horrible. I dropped my friend. He booked a room and the lady through a fit because I wanted to use a restroom. And she started yelling and screaming at me saying no no. Only one person. I said yes it's one person I'm just using the restroom. She then said go to the gas station for that. This place is horrible. Don't ever stay here ever. She then canceled my friends reservation. Charged his card. All because I wanted to use the restroom. We are waiting to get his money back.

The front of hotel was damaged. The mattress wasn't comfortable. The elevator wasn't clean. Minimal breakfast selection. All in all I Will not be returning.

I work all over the state and stay in quite a few hotels. I'm hella surprised how comfy the bed was. I've never slept so well in a hotel bed. Hopefully will be back asap.

Broken electrical sockets. Other guest’s trash in refrigerator. You get what you pay for I guess.

The handicapped accessible room does not have a roll in shower… very difficult to clean up on a bench seat if your a paraplegic. And the free coffee and continental breakfast shuts down at 9 am… and when I asked for extra towels I was told no! … that there was two in the room and that's all you get… not coming back if I don't have too.

My company book this hotel I'm not picky but this hotel is garbage! It needs a lot of work, dirty floors and bad stains on the beds and sheets. There's even stains on the wall of the rooms and hallway. I'm never staying here again!

I am just about to check in, first thing they tell me is NO GUESTS. I came from 400 milles away to visit family and to meet at shop at the Shopping center. Even if my friends and family are tired or want to relax for a bit before driving back to their home they can't? This policy is ridiculous I just stayed at the Super 8 in salinas and they have no policy as this. I booked online and it did not mention anything like this on there otherwise I would of booked at the hotel across the street. Future visits I will NOT Be staying here untill they change their policy. I am paying for this room if I want to have decent friends to drop by I have that right as long as they don't interfere with other guest or damage the room it should be none of your business who visits me or who doesn't.

I had a bad experience with everything, towels, bathtub, toilet, breakfast… any way, the only good thing about it its the outlets, other then that I do not recommend this hotel. I was very bad, the people Q works at the reception very rude, tanned towels, the tub makes a lot of noise, the toilet is loose and moves, I do not recommend this hotel, the only good thing is Q is next to the outlets.

It needs to be remodeed old building right next to freeway very loud area. I recommend the Hiltom or motel 6.

Everything was great in exeption for the rotten apples that were placed on the breakfast table.

The room was great but the front desk clerk didn't know that the Garlic City casino was less than 3 blocks away. Other than that the room was clean and neat. The breakfast could use a boost but overall I enjoyed my stay. Thanks.

Very clean room. Internet connection is great. Front desk people are friendly and fast check in.

$209.00 for one night in this place. The staff weren't polite at all. The tub had hairs in it and the sink's drain was plugged had a huge chunk missing from it which they just covered with white duct tape. At 11:01 the housekeeping banged on the door like it was a drug raid. The only reason we decided to stay here last night is my wife and I were tired from driving.

The beds were comfortable. Room was nice. But the housekeepers need to dust. There was about an inch if dust on about every thing.

Called and made room reservation on June 12, 2017 late at night. Called back on June 13, 2017 in morning. Travel plans had changed, refused to cancel room and charged me anyway. Very rude on phone. Travel through Gilroy all the time (once a month) will never stay there. This was to be the first time, wanted to try them out. Never again.

Instead of feeling like a guest, I felt like a prisoner. The staff was extremely rude, the showers don't work properly, the one and only ice machine doesn't work, the mattress was terrible, there's only one entrance/exit, and the room smelled terrible. And if you use the exterior pool exit it sets off an alarm, after which you get cussed out by management.

Location was convenient. Rm was clean and said to have been remodeled, however there was water damage in bathroom.

Expensive for its amenities.

Our stay here for a week was worth it and always had good breakfast. Nice employees. :) Good shopping plaza near by.

I'm mostly reviewing this, because yesterday I was looking at the reviews here, and I felt they didn't accurately depict the place. It was a perfectly adequate place to spend the night on our road trip passing through. No problems. Got our deposit back just fine. Room was clean, breakfast looked good.

Few day ago mon the lady fromt desk wit the tattoo on her chest she acaused me for smoking in the room I didmt smoke I awqly go outside for some reason she lied said I have I expkained to the manager I didnt smoke he shocked his head dint believe me what wasmt rite the maid walk in on my brother while he was changing clothers they didnt do anythiing bout it… I kmow the lady n the fromt desk is lesbo hattimg guy sayimg o s! oke in the room I didmt the! anagernhe wrpmg for not listenimg my side that wasnt rite.

Breakfast was a joke, no protein except milk and yogurt with artificial sweetener. The front desk lady stared at us almost the whole time we ate breakfast, kind of creepy. WAY overpriced. Room was average.

I stayed at the hotel for 2 nights and they charged me $100 more for some stains. They did not tell me that they are going to charge me: not in person, neither via email. When I called them and ask their last names they didn't tell me. There were Jenity and Chris (manager). When I asked them to send me stained bedding they refused to do so. Do not stay there.

This Super 8 gave us terrible service right from the time we checked in. The guy at the front desk said we booked a "handicapped" room. When I explained to him that I only booked a single with room for a roll-away, he blamed it on Expedia. He then "upgraded" us to a double but "only because we have one". He was very rude during the whole conversation. The room was adequate; however, the bathtub faucet dripped continuously and the little refrigerator was very noisy. The "continental" breakfast was very meager and consisted of 3 kinds of cereal, bread for toast, coffee and juice. We stayed for 3 days and 2 nights and every day we had to have our room keys redone when they wouldn't work in our door. This is very frustrating to find your key doesn't work after you get up to the 3rd floor with a baby in your arms. You then have to trek all the way back down to the front desk and stand in line listening to other people complain to get your key ready for your door again. On the positive, it was nice to be so close to shopping — there's even a Starbucks right across the street.
