Spacious and clean rooms. Very nice and big outdoor pool. The only bad thing was the low water pressure, narrow spray, and low height of the shower head in the nice, big step-in shower. I think the second floor rooms are nicer, with high ceilings. It's an older building but they've done a reasonable job of updating it. Coffee from the lobby automated machine is horrible.

Cute midcentury hotel right by the 52 highway. My corner room upstairs has a pretty, vaulted ceiling, a little kitchen, and is quite spacious. The bathrooms could definitely use some updating, but otherwise I'm happy.

I only spent time at Proud Mary's Restaurant and Bar for the live music. The food I sampled was delicious: fried green tomatoes and the densest biscuits Ive ever eaten. The prices for drinks were reasonable considering it was a Friday night wih live music. There is a $10 minimum per person during the music but two drinks will be more than sufficient to reach that amount. The atmosphere is casual. I will definitely be back more more live music nights!

We stayed at Ramada inn while we were on a trip to San Diego and Los Angeles. We really liked the hotel, it is calm and decent. And the price was cheaper and affordable with good quality while comparing with other hotels around.

I really liked this hotel a lot. I would definitely stay here again. The rooms were nice and big. The beds are way more comfortable then your average hotel, and they give you lots of pillows. It does not only a microwave but a fridge as well. And the pool there is very nice. Its right by a freeway, and all the attractions and beaches are only about 15 minutes away. You don't have to worry about parking because there is plenty. I think the tile is heated which I thinks a little weird but hey cool I guess. They also give you one free breakfast at their restaurant which is right next to the hotel. The breakfast was really good, but we had to eat outside because the restaurant reeked of alcohol, and it was making the kids sick. It could also use some cleaning up inside the restaurant. Maybe a little more family friendly inside there as well. But there are lots of other places to eat around there too! Other then that everything was great. Would have five stars if their restaurant was better. When we checked out it was actually about $100 cheaper then what they had told us. Which that obviously was awesome. I would recommend booking this hotel on their actual site instead of price-line it is cheaper that away.

This place was better than what I thought it would be. I was expecting a basic dated older hotel that would be showing it's age. However the grounds, rooms and pool are very well maintained and in fact charming to a degree. My room faced the pool and the inner courtyard with pool was very nice. The room was updated and super clean with comfortable bed, nice shower and bathroom! Staff was great and deserve praise from Ramada corporate types for doing such a wonderful job (s)!

Nice room. We had a comfy stay. Bathroom was very nice and pretty good size. Only bad thing we went to get more towels at the office and they gave us 2 floor mat towels.

Nice, clean, well maintained place. Friendly staff. Good value. Rooms have fridge, microwave, safe, iron/ironing board. Courtyard facing rooms for a few dollars more are a good choice as the rear facing rooms look out to parking lot and concrete wall. Some rooms have renovated bathrooms and others are in progress. Nice pool area with hot tub, lounge chairs and tables with umbrellas. Small basic gym with treadmill, elliptical and bike. Nice restaurant with southern food, good beer and live music. The area is Kearny Mesa which is a bit out of town so a car is really required. It's about a 20 min. Walk to a Starbucks but most things are close by car. There is a bit of noise from busy traffic but it's not too bad. One night there was air traffic noise and I understand the Miramar air base is just north, and a private executive airport is to the south. I'm not sure which caused the noise but it was not constant, just for a limited period the one night.

Room was good. Mini fridge n microwave in room. Single cup brewer available in room. Small bathroom with tub. King size bed was comfortable but pillows were all big and semi firm. TV variety was good. Safe in closet. Parking is good but noticed that the restaurant visitors take up all the parking later in day.

For the price, it's not too bad, but it's not great quality. The front desk staff was cordial. They have speed bumps from the street to the reception and I find that very annoying.

Went to Ramada San Diego to visit the bar Proud Mary for a few drinks with friends. Fantastic live jazz music and great Creole food. Definitely get a plate of the fried zucchini, you will not regret it. Food is a little pricy for a bar but it is definitely a bar/restaurant and is delicious. Will definitely be going back.

Hotel rooms were very clean. The front desk was really nice and let us check in early. I was even able to get a room right next to people who were there with us but checked in the night before. Breakfast was good and the waitress was very nice. Would stay there again.

Extremely professional and accommodating. They were very easy to work with. Mary Holladay was especially wonderful to work with. We'll be headed there every time we're in San Diego!

It was easy to check in and check out. The pool looked nice and people and to be enjoying the jacuzzi as well. They had a nice, safe spot to wait for an Uber. I liked it. Though the TV froze when I was trying to scroll on it. But there was a microwave and a mini fridge/freezer. I enjoyed it there. The bed was very soft.

Good hotel for business trip.

Great place for stay over beds were lil rough we stayed here because we arrived early and the original hotel we reserved all of sudden was booked. But was pretty great deal pretty convenient. Not to bad.

We spent 3 nights at the hotel and would recommend for a cheaper slightly out of the downtown San Diego area option. We've stayed at this same location 3 times previously and have had a positive experience each time. The staff are friendly and helpful. The hotel is dated but has been updated a few times in the years we have been staying there. The hotel is quiet and close to major freeways. The room itself was clean and well stocked. Housekeeping is easily accessible and helpful. The pool is large and the jacuzzi is small but serviceable. The microwave, fridge, and TV were in working order. There was plenty of parking close to the room. Sheets were clean. So why 4 instead of 5 stars. The Wi-Fi is abysmal. The shower head is roughly 5 feet off the floor forcing most people to crouch or duck to use it properly. Shower pressure was weak which is part for the course in California. Having said that, the hotel checks all of the boxes and is above average but nothing is necessarily exceptional. The price is quite competitive though and well worth it for my family as we spend little time in the hotel itself. I would rather pay a reasonable price and have a clean and friendly hotel out of the rush of the city. I also like a consistent experience which I get here. Lastly, the fruit infused water and coffee and tea at the front desk is a nice touch as the hotel does not offer a complimentary breakfast. Thank you again for a good stay.

Great price and location, free parking and the restaurant was very good. The room needed some work, but for the price I was pleased. I'll probably spend a little more $$ next time and stay somewhere else.

Clean, easy to check in and out, and really nice staff. The Internet had good speed, the TV was large and the air conditioning was nice and chilly. I was very happy with my stay, and the staff seemed to genuinely care about your comfort, and that can make all the difference for me when I'm traveling.

Nice budget priced property. Rooms are clean with no weird smells. Comfortable beds and hot showers. The restaurant and bar has great entertainment and food. The staff is friendly. No complaints from me.

We booked the hotel for two rooms for three nights. We stayed there to go to Legoland one day and Sea World the next. The room was spacious, but on older side. When I pulled down the sheets there was a hair so I called the front desk and they sent maids to change them. I expected a bit more padding under the carpet, it felt like carpet laid on cement. The bed did on the harder side and the bathroom sink counter and shower both are small. The closet is a full sized one with large mirrored doors. The pool is nice and large and well maintained. I expected a bit more for the price we paid.

This hotel is in close proximity to the highway, so it's nice to know nothing is more than about 30 minutes away. With that being said, the hotel itself is overpriced for what it is. It is simple and offers basic amenities, but it doesn't offer anything more that would make it unique. The rooms are clean and well kept. It would be ideal for a suitable last-minute place if everywhere else is booked. If you do go here, book as a walk-in. Online booking sites such as Expedia make the price higher.

It was an interesting crowd. We went for some rockabilly band that my parents were into. The service was not that great since they only had one waitress on that evening for the entire dinning area of the bar. The music was great but it's not the same band ever night there. Drinks were decent, but the menu didn't really have anything light. Everything on the menu was heavy and over $10.

Trust Me! Spend a few extra dollars and treat yourself to a better "Hotel" than this one, btw, this is more like a motor inn than a hotel. This "hotel" is old and dirty! The pictures of the rooms and property are deceptive! The first room we were given had two people blocking the stairs and barely moved out the way (maybe hotel workers on break? ). The room smelled like cigar smoke mixed with air freshener. The front desk employee (Drake) never apologized, he gave another room which looked like an old 1980's style room with a tattered couch, beat up bath tub and a bad paint job. Needless to say, this was booked through hotwire, which guarantees a clean comfortable room and property. I complained to hotwire and was able to bend their policy of "no cancellations, " because this hotel was horrible! I then checked into a "Four Points! "

The rooms are awesome. Room service is great and the pool/jacuzzi is fantastic. Only down side is the fitness room could use some dumbells.

The room we stayed in was located away from the pool which added to how quiet the room was. We had a very comfortable stay and goodnight's rest. We definitely consider staying here again. The hotel is near a major highway so that helped with getting around. For a quick meal there are plenty of fast-food restaurants around.

Rooms are decent. Fridge and Microwave are fantastic to have. Nice pool and easy to get in and out of. Only downside is other than the restaurant that is on the property, there are not a lot of walking distance places to eat.

This motel was adequate. Did serve us as a pit stop for 6 hrs and didn't had much issues. No complaints. Rooms were okay. You get what u pay for.

All was well nothing more had stains red in the savannas and not know if was blood.

This hotel has such a huge comfortable king-size bed and a fridge and a microwave that we both hidden in the armoire. The shower was nice and warm with a weak spray. The bathtub was awesome. The pool and the jacuzzi was right outside our room. It was a great place to stay for $140 a night.

I called to ask about the room rate of $72 that is clearly posted online and the man on the other end yelled at me and said there is no such thing. You need to update your website and you have absolutely horrible customer service!

My company sometimes have meeting here. It's close to the office so it is convenient. The conference room is a decent size and the food they serve is not bad. For medium size meetings it's good.

They only have showers, no tubs. Wifi is slow. Nice and clean otherwise.

Decent price. Clean rooms. Safe in the closet was nice so you didn't have to take valuables to the beach.

Hotel was great, it looked clean and prestigious on the outside and warm and comfortable on the inside. I went with my family on a trip to the San Diego Zoo, my husband and I with our four kids under five. Because we were all weary from traveling, I thought it would be great to see if we could get an early check in. I was a little concerned about customer service after reading some previous reviews. But that was not the case, I called around 9am in the morning and asked for early check-in and it was granted. Customer service, who I later found out was Drake Avila, was awesome. Every time I called (which was a lot because I couldn't make up my mind about which floor I wanted) he was courteous and kind. He helped us map our restaurant visit when my gps went out, and he also accommodated me with a crib late in the night for my five month old with no problems. I got the crib as soon as I hung up it seemed. The views from the hotel room where we stayed in 229 we spectacular. Our room was outfitted for a family with a mini fridge, a microwave, and a coffee pot. The air conditioner worked great, the sheets and blankets were clean and didn't have many permanent stains. I had my husband check the mattress for bugs and he found none. I checked the room for bugs and also found none. In fact the bathroom was clean and sterile just the way I like it, and the room was so comfy. My only complaint would be about the carts that the cleaners use to carry the sheets and towels to the rooms.

Very pleased with our stay here! Was on a business/personal trip from NC and chose this hotel because of it's price and location to things we were doing. Short trip into downtown San Diego and it's located on an exit that has lots of options for dining, etc. Staff was very helpful. The property isn't anything luxurious or super high-end, but it's clean, safe and affordable! Great place.

Worst hotel experience ever! Stay was bad starting from check-in. Upon checking in Front desk manager did not know anything about the property, specifically how to get to our room or if there was a laundry room, also did not know anything about the area. The room was decent but not what was to be expected at the Ramada. The next day upon leaving the room I place the "Do not disturb" sign in the lock because we left personal items in the room. I returned to a note stating that house keeping checked the room but did not clean it because of the sign. No one should have walked in the room at all! Not only did they walk in the room, they opened the curtains to where our belongings were visible to the outside and moved things that was set out on the bed. When brough to the attention of the maanger the next morning the situation was not properly handled and I was told there was nothing he could do. Again worst stay ever!

We stayed two nights with a work group and utilized the conference room for meetings. The hotel provided breakfast and lunch. There was consensus in our group (20 people) that the rooms were quite, clean and updated. Not luxury but very acceptable. The food provided was fresh and carefully prepared (for example the salsa was homemade with fresh cilantro, not out of a can) and service was at a level that one would typically experience at a higher-end hotel chain. The landscaping and pool were also nicely kept.
