Friendly staff… the hotel is kind of old, needs an update. The only con is the new $12/day parking fee. It doesn't make any sense.

This is a huge, sprawling hotel.
Do not stay here if you are looking for a quiet place. Sound travels easily through the hallways and you can easily hear all activity outside your room.
Additionally, we had some extremely noisy neighbors partying next door. The front desk asked them to quiet down to no effect. Additional calls to the front desk either went unanswered or they would say they would do something but didn't. This has been my absolute worst hotel experience ever. Lame.

Every room we were in was freezing. Coffee bar was understaffed at peak times. Ditto restaurant. Restaurant food portions small for the price. We were there for Comic Fest during the day only. We live in town so did not stay overnight so I can't comment on the guest rooms.

I stayed here on a recent business trip and found the staff and service to be some of the best I’ve ever received at a hotel. The food in the restaurant is also very good. I’d highly recommend staying here if you are visiting the San Diego area.

I would give it 3.5 stars. Over all The rooms are clean and walkways are kept clean. It is a nice place to stay if are looking for a place to just crash in the night! The wait time for room service is erratic sometimes they serve you in no time, sometimes they take an hour. The furniture and interiors are dated but well maintained. If you are looking for something contemporary this isn't the place for you. Also on weekend nights the entrance can be filled with smokers and it a put off for non smokers like me. If the management could shift the smoking area it will have a very good first impression.

Been here twice in less than a month and would most definitely be back again. My daughter just started sdsu and needles to say we are on a budget! the prices are very reasonable but you don't sacrifice quality at all. This hotel is nice, clean, modern, safe, reasonable and a nice pool area! Came here with my 3 younger children and gramma! I read comments about hotels and make my decision based on those comments so I know how it is! All I can tell you is that my experience with this hotel has been great! And the staff is AMAZING! Thanks.

Attended an MMA event here and enjoyed the property a lot. The venue was open, clean, and well maintained. We didn't stay here in a room so I cannot comment on that, but overall a positive experience.

Really nice hotel. Clean and spacious. The staff was professional and pleasant. Easy to find, not far off the highway. The rooms are large with a nice desk to work at if you're there on business. Nice and quiet in the evening, good selection of TV channels. There's a restaurant attached that I ate dinner at one night. I would skip that. Service was slow and it was a mediocre pub menu. But as far as the hotel goes, it was very nice. No complaints.

We had a double room. Beds were comfortable. I loved the bathroom. There was a sliding door. I also liked the dispenser filled containers in the tub/shower. We had a good view, overlooking downtown. The check in was simple, and the concierges was very pleasant. After check in we needed directions to the Gamp Lamp Quarters. He gave us directions, as well as a map. We checked out a day early, and they made the process easy. Would definitely stay there again.

This would be our second time staying at this location. First visit went without incident. This visit We had made reservations for a room with 2 queen beds. When we got here they didn't have any available. We were given a king suite with a couch that had a pull out queen bed. It worked out really nice. We were also not charged a parking fee. Our boys had a blast in the jacuzzi tub in the room. The standing shower was leaking water everywhere. It was a mess. We told the front desk and were given extra towels. Overall it wasn't too bad of an experience. I would stay again.

My friend booked a room here and called to have the 500 dollar booking placed back in their account and after they agreed. They charged them yet another 500 dollars for booking after they already cancelled. Shady hotel and out of all the hotels in San Diego. They're hundreds of them that are better for cheaper with better locations. They still have no refunded the now 1000 dollars they owe my friend and are providing hassle for something that is 100% this companies fault. Its a shame really that somebody cant enjoy a nice vacation without dealing with some sort of shenanigans.

Very poor hotel except the bar and the Cafe. Bar employees are amazing and the morning cafe lady is also amazing person, breakfast buffet the waitress are rude and unprofessional. Unfortunately the rooms are old and outdated and many issues with the rooms amenities. Some front desk employees are clueless, and put no effort on getting answers for your questions, and the General Manager avoids you especially if you leave a message requesting to talk to her, no return phone calls or anything from her unprofessional.

This place is a hidden jewel. The staff was friendly and courteous. Even though I was there on a business ventire… but I got a chance to explore the grounds and I really enjoyed the sky lounge, the pavilion and the bar. I will definitely plan a vacation here!

Okay, nothing stands out about this hotel. Room amenities minimal. Front desk staff friendly & accommodating. Service in the bar was first rate. My biggest criticism was the vast & open internal floor layout resulted in too much noise. Also, the room HVAC units are so noisy, you cannot have them running at night.

This Four Points by Sheraton is wide open, literally. It is spacious and the rooms are super comfy and the shower head is quite possibly the best I've ever used. The shower gel, shampoo, and conditioner mounted to the shower wall are a nice touch; very convenient and pleasantly scented. I haven't tried any of the onsite dining yet, however, we are here for a few nights.

The entire Front desk team was amazing. Very welcoming, smooth check-in, always with smile and in a very good mood. Cynthia, the manager, has gone way beyond all the standards and was lovely and professional how she dealt with the issue we had with breakfast. True professionalism! Thank you for a lovely stay.

The staff seemed nice, but the rooms need updating. Our tub wouldn't drain the first day so we requested maintenance but they we're unable to fix it, so every show was standing in a foot of water. The shower bar was rusty, the soap dispenser lid was missing (a reason I never use them any way), there was a light on a sensor that would go off for no reason in the middle of the night. Both night we were there they had large parties rent their conference room they lasted until after 1am and the music carried throughout our room. The hotel was in a nice part of town. I would not stay at this hotel again when visiting.

Older hotel but in good condition! Breakfast was yummy! Espresso Bar was much appreciated! Staff is very friendly! The only thing I didn't like was their TV stations. It's like they just have an antenna for each room because the quality was real bad! For the price, they should have something better. But I would still stay here again!

Don't forget to get the breakfast included when you book the room, it is cheaper that way. One thing I didn't like was that their swimming pools were out of order. One of the reasons for booking this hotel for me was pool. Was disappointed a little. Call them and make sure if that matters to you.

The amenities are amazing (Happy Hour from 4-6 with snacks; free dinner, 2 additional cocktails, free breakfast. ) The staff are very friendly! Rooms are nice & clean; very spacious bathrooms. The only thing I would suggest is that they could invest in nicer bedding (sheets, comforter. ) The bed was decent… not as comfortable as I had anticipated. I would stay here again.

Nice place, with odd 2 story design with multiple atriums. Common areas are a bit empty but nice and clean. Nice pool and gym. Good service. Limited restaurant service but there is also an attached bar. Rooms are very nice with light wood veneer creating a warm natural ambience. I had to check out early due to constant alarm testing throughout the day but that apparently was a surprise inspection that the hotel had no control over. Although I had prepaid for three nights, they reimbursed me in full including the 1 night I stayed. I was very pleased with how they handled it.

The hotel is conveniently located next to the freeway and is easy to get to. The room was clean and neat. It would have been nice if they stated that there was a charge for over night parking. Not like a guest can park anywhere in the area if they have a ca.

This hotel was very clean. The staff were friendly and eager to help. I really enjoyed my stay here. The hotel has a coffee bar that is delicious and it has its own restaurant. I ordered room service, break fast and dinner both were outstanding. My first night there, the refrigerate leaked all over the floor, I asked to be moved and wanted a first floor room, and they just moved me! No questions ask or charged for another room, they just said sorry about that and moved me to an even nicer room with a pool view.

Stayed overnight to pick someone up at the nearby airport. The hotel is near a shopping center, and far enough from the freeway to hear no noise. It is very plainly decorated, which I actually liked. It took me a while to find an elevator (stayed in building C). Parking was great, customer service was great. The bathroom seemed a bit outdated, but everything was clean. Would definitely stay there again.

The check in procedure worked without any problems. We could even express a room request. The hotel is well maintained.

The accommodations were fine. It was clean as is expected but I was surprised to find I had to pay $12 for parking. They claim it is a state law but we didn't get charged at the Fairfield inn the day before. I also had to leave a credit card for incidental charges which left me feeling since I was being charged extra to park, would I be charged extra to say… take a shower? Thankfully that was not the case.

Professional and easy check in, big and roomy hotel. But the beds were uncomfortable. The blanket literally came apart and felt like a cotton fluff between two sheets. Hotel would fall into a three star one, but the prices on the restaurant menu was like 4 stars or higher. 15 + tax on breakfast buffet, I had better breakfasts from highway motels. But all the staff were super nice and professional.

The staff here are amazing! They are incredibly helpful in transporting us to and from the hospital where our son is a patient. Our room is great — spacious, comfortable and spotless. We are so grateful that we are able to stay here.

We've stayed here a few times as it's comfortable, affordable and part of the starwood family. They're in the midst of renovations and I'm not sure we're in a renovated room as it looks the same as what we saw the last time we were here (although there is a very distinct paint smell in the room. ) Beds are comfortable, the A/C works and there's plenty of space in the bathroom for stuff. The executive golf course has seen better days but if you're not planning to play, it's no big deal! The pool area is nice and clean, and there's a big jacuzzi if you're planning to use either of those. Overall, while it's a strange layout where the rooms are located, this is a comfortable place to stay for the money.

A great hotel in an excellent location. It has. A bar/lounge with DJ and dancing in Saturday night's and for special events. The staff are accommodating, professional, & polite. There is a cafe with a good selection of dishes offered. There are meeting rooms to accommodate meetings & special events.

Very nice hotel with a great location in central San Diego, though a little bit old. They are remodeling currently so I expect things to get updated. The restaurant Citrus is solid as well with excellent customer service. Front desk agents were all very polite and welcoming. Would definitely stay here again.

Upon check-in, reception seemed slightly unpolished, which differed from the professionalism I am used to in my past experiences at other Sheraton Hotels. The hotel itself was undergoing general renovations, and the conference room furniture was pushed out and blocked off in the general access ways and corridors to the rooms. Courtesy signs were placed in the lobby thanking guests for their patience, and for the most part, both the day and night staff did great jobs accommodating the busy breakfast crowd. The room was clean and smelled very nice. Toiletries were adequate. Ice machine was not dispensing ice, but a staff member was quick to retrieve ice from the hotel cafe for me when I asked. The ice machine still wasn't operational in the morning, but breakfast surpassed a continental breakfast, and came compimentary with my specific reservation. The pool was sufficient and clean, and clean towels were self serve and conveniently stored for hotel guests to use. There was also a small fitness room by the poolside, which other guests were using.

Promised a room with a view when I booked and confirmed by calling earlier the day of arrival. No view. The room stinks like cigarette smoke and my asthma is already kicking off. It is filthy. They say they have no other rooms but housekeeping will clean it. 20 min and no housekeeping. We are tired and very, very unhappy. I don't recommend this hotel to anyone. Nor would I stay here again. Awful experience and very disappointed as an SPG member.

Had to leave in a hurry to my next hotel in Los Angeles and left 2 dress shirts in the closet. Made multiple attempts and several voice mail messages with no response or acknowledgement to this day. For all I know house keeping stole my clothes or simply threw it away. You would think they would give you a courtesy call to let you know of any belongings left behind (they ask for contact info when checking in) but perhaps that may be too much effort on their part. I would not recommend this hotel and will go out of my way to dissuade anyone from considering staying at this hotel or any Four Points until they make it right on their end. They do not include free breakfast and want to highlight that they to not disclose that the charge you for parking until after you arrive. There is ample parking in the area so I am convinced this is in place to take advantage of those from out of town/ unfamiliar with the area.

Beautiful hotel. Very pleasant ambience, Clean rooms. Wonderful service. I would say the people at the front desk are very friendly and helpful. You should specially meet Micheal at the front desk, he very polite and helpful.

Room was nice and clean, as was the whole building. Front desk people were very nice and courteous and we're eager to assist with anything. The only negative would be that you need a parking permit to park overnight and you have to pay for the permit.

As a frequent visitor to Starwood properties, not only was my status recognized at check-in, but I was given an upgrade to a suite. The rooms are in good repair even if a little dated, and the staff is excellent. There is a pool and fitness center, though the AC wasn't working properly at the fitness center during my visit. The restaurant had a good balance of dining options and everything tasted quite nice. I can definitely see myself coming back here. Be sure to keep in mind that parking is $12/day.

The venue holds great promise for all the small conventions that plan to come here in 2017, but on Friday night there were far too many roof leaks to be comfortable, the building was too cold for comfort, and the restaurant lacked sufficient kitchen help to keep up with the clientele (many vacant tables, but patrons were informed it would take at least 30-minutes to get served). I loved the space for the rooms, but all the vendors in one wing had to pack up and go each day and the primary vendor room closed before the lectures completed and that was a huge let down. Finally, the parking lots were full by 12:00 Noon and people had to walk several blocks for parking. But I understand the prices were excellent and the space was very nice.

The place is absolutely beautiful! Nice large rooms. Excellent restaurant and bar inside the hotel. Golf course in back. Very clean. I would have given it a 5☆, but the bedding was uncomfortable (mattress pad was all bunched up under the sheets, and the mattress had a huge "dip" on my side), and the TV reception was terrible. The food at the Citrus restaurant was some of the best I've ever had! The staff were exceptionally courteous. I'd definitely stay here again.

The staff is amazing! Hotel appearance is very nice, but the rooms need an upgrade. I was in room and the bathtub didn't work. There was also water damage on the wood floors and in the bathroom. Restaurant food and staff were great especially Valeria! She is Amazing. She was very attentive and caring towards our needs. Overall, if they could update the rooms, I would probably come back, and recommend.
