The room was very nice. Location was good, and the breakfast was great. The young man working behind the counter when we checked in could use some retraining in customer service. He did not tell us room location, elevators, time of breakfast, or even that there was breakfast. When I asked him the room number he pushed the keys cards to me and said it’s written on there. He was also not dressed very professional wearing a winter ski hat. It was not cold in there. The hotel though was very nice.

The entire staff are a great bunch of people. The atmosphere is friendly and the rooms are comfortable. If I’m back in the area I’ll definitely be choosing The Hampton Inn.

I'm so impressed by seeing the pictures and the upgrades that you have made. There are many things that I see that I like. I especially noticed the chairs for breakfast! That's just one of the few. I will be back One day, but very bittersweet. Hampton Inn is like a family literally to me and was to my husband. For close to 10 years they opened up their doors and were there when needed as my husband was receiving cancer treatments through the years. They were there at midnight I wanted a glass of milk to needing anything I needed. Thank you to Robert, Myrna I do understand she's no longer there but I also still miss her, but that's just a few of many that I remember and miss. Thank you Robert for always being there.

I must admit I'm disappointed. I thought this property would be a clear winner after reading the many positive reviews. Not so! As a Hilton Honors member who travels for pleasure often, this property is not up to the typical HH standards. First strike, the front desk/lobby area was so dark, that may be fine for a romantic dinner for two, not for a hotel. Was the extremely dim lighting intentional to hide the outdated furnishings? Our room appeared to be clean, but had outdated, worn furnishings worn that I haven't seen in a Hampton property in many, many years. Extremely poor Wi-Fi. Hotel staff were welcoming and pleasant… 4 stars for them. If staying in the area again I would not return for another stay. HI Kearny Mesa it's time to update your property.

The front desk staff was friendly and helpful.
The complimentary breakfast staff this weekend were great and worked their tails off, keeping all the food replenished. Very busy, everyone was friendly. Housekeeping very efficient.
